SaturGay has begun!
First up, Chains of Heart, and it did not disappoint:
For starters, it's flexing a little gay muscle here and there throughout the first episode.
Next, the cinematography is on point. The director nor the cinematographer have been listed yet, but the darker vibe is consistent.
The only place that has a lighter feel is the place where Din and Ken first met.
So this show clearly has a drone and a budget.
We got several gratuitous shots of Ken's tattoos.
Which one of them is of the Chinese tale about the weaver girl and the cow herder (hello, Never Let Me Go!).
Ken shared this story with Din when they first met, and it will be a common theme throughout this series since the lovers were tragically separated.
Din and Ken are the core story of this mystery because the episode starts two years after the horrible incident, and Din's "body" has just been found after a mysterious Taiwanese stranger comes into Ken's life, so we got one of the gay bridges (I can never tell which is which). EDIT: @sliceduplife noted this is probably Taipei so it might be the same bridge from Be Loved in House: I Do, which is known as the Lover's Bridge, and would make this even better!
The only ding for this episode was there was no Poppy, but there are many men running around in black, so he could very well be one of them.
Oh, and the body count is rising quickly.
I am pleased.

Waking each other up, opening the windows, turning on our morning music playlist we curated together and having breakfast, going on walks around the city, planning what to cook today and getting bread and groceries on the way home, talking about the last thing we read or movie we watched, asking which shoes look better with the outfit before leaving the house and laughing at the cat doing something cute, playing games together and kissing and talking for hours about anything and making plans for the weekend and going to bed and reading next to each other and saying good night I love you everyday I feel I am the luckiest person on earth I love my husband and the simple life we made for ourselves after all the struggle I feel like I’m living in the soft epilogue 🥰

also every time I talk about “clean” and “dirty” products, I get people like “clean beauty is a scam”, which is so. You’re getting caught up on the KEYWORD. We’re not talking about brands using the word Clean on their label and charging $50 for moisturizer. I’m not talking abt buzzword Clean, I’m talking about Risk Of Harm type Clean.
It’s legitimately helpful to be able to check your, idk, conditioner, and not only see what’s in it, but actually understand the ingredients. You can get so much info. Like, is this ingredient classified as dirty because it’s a skin irritant? Or because it’s an endocrine disruptor? Or because it’s a known and proven carcinogen? Like, beauty and hygiene products can have so much Shit in them, it doesn’t hurt to check.
Also, maybe this is just bc I’m nosy, but I like getting all the info. Like you can get so much shit on A Single Ingredient. I just pulled one up at random, that is in a conditioner I’ve used before.
It gives you so much info right off the bat. How this ingredient would be more likely to cause harm/irritation in sprays or powders that can be inhaled or ingested. What it is for (a preservative). What it does NOT do (does not cause cancer, does not trigger allergies, etc), what it CAN do, and what are other names for it that you might find on a label.
Like idk! I think it’s interesting! We’re just out here learning stuff!
It’s not supposed to Scare you, it’s supposed to help you make Informed Decisions abt what goes in and on your body. What you should be scared of is the stuff in Head & Shoulders.

I desperately need a Harrowhark POV of Gideon the Ninth. I am aware that it would mostly just be descriptions of her locked in rooms by herself, dehydrated and covered in blood, and I am okay with that.
