“Makes me sick, man,” Sal said, snapping Tommy back to the present. He nearly flinched—as if Sal had been reading his thoughts. “How long until we’re all replaced by those overpriced toasters?”

Ah. Right.

Tommy wondered, too. Most of the other stations already had androids. He shrugged. “We still have a few advantages over them.”

Sal snorted. “Like what? They don’t need to eat, and they never get tired, so they can work twenty-four-seven. They come pre-programmed, so they don’t gotta go through the academy. They can throw cars like they’re paper airplanes. They don’t even need to be paid. We’re cooked.”

Yeah, that was all valid.

“They don’t have real emotions like we do,” Tommy said. “They feel nothing and will never genuinely understand us. They don’t have a heart. They’re machines. This one doesn’t even have a name, just a model number.”

He felt idiotic before he even shut his mouth. As if having any of that made him a better firefighter. Being emotional and feeling too much made him weaker. It was a career killer. He shouldn’t have said anything.

“Sounds like the perfect employee to me.” Sal smirked, temper mostly calmed. “You’re such a softy, Tom. No heart.” 

Tommy rolled his eyes. He knew Sal was going to razz him. “Fuck off.” 

“Nah. You’re gonna come spot me.” Sal threw a heavy arm around his shoulders and steered them toward the gym. Tommy didn’t resist. “If only the robos could have one like yours, huh?” He poked Tommy with a thick index finger. “You’ve got a big, gooey marshmallow in there.”

“Don’t know how you ever got that impression.”

“Just bein’ around you, babe.”

Upstairs, alone and unseen, EB600 looked down at his chest. He frowned, placing his hand over the spot where a heart would be if he were human, and listened.

There was no rhythmic lub-dub, lub-dub. He felt no steady thump, thump.

Instead, his Thirium pump sloshed gently, went tick, tick, hsss.

Have you ever heard of... END ROLL? Walking On A Star Unknown? Farethere City? These are all relatively niche RPGMaker 2000 games made by a Japanese game creator known as Segawa (せがわ), with END ROLL being the most popular among Western Fans (you might see the main character, Russell, in some fanart with OMORI or Yume Nikki characters for example)!

In fact, for followers of mine who are In Stars and Time fans, END ROLL was credited as one of the inspirations for that game!

TOWER of HANOI is another game made by Segawa, one released in November of 2020, and one of the final games they've made in RPG2K (so they've got an absolute mastery of the engine).

I'll be in part directing this post towards ISAT fans since that makes up the majority of my followerbase on Tumblr, so there may be ISAT spoilers (including Two Hats/Act 6 Secret spoilers) up ahead! There will also be mild TOWER of HANOI spoilers required to explain the game's premise. Proceed at your own risk.

Section One: So, what is TOWER of HANOI all about?

TOWER of HANOI is a narrative-driven RPG with multiple endings (2 'true endings', 3 'bad endings') set in a futuristic, post-post-World-War-Five society. The game mostly takes place within the TOWER, a hyper-realistic virtual reality simulation currently undergoing playtests that was built to be able to rehabilitate HANOI (androids that look and sound and feel emotions like humans do) who have dangerous levels of mental instability.

The stability of a HANOI is measured through their Stress Level, a numerical representation of that HANOI's mental state. HANOI are generally considered by society to be more of technology or property than people (like your computer or your phone would be), and as such have no rights and are often mistreated by humans. More than 50% of HANOI hate their human employers.

In order to combat the dangerous upward trend of HANOI Stress Levels (caused by their mistreatment), the TOWER was created. In it, HANOI are expected to fight and defeat virtual enemies that approximate humans in order to destress through violence. Upon a successful completion, HANOI are to be returned to their human employers.

Because the TOWER is currently undergoing testing, groups of HANOI are accompanied through the TOWER by a human "Inspector" who is expected to report any bugs or issues they encounter during their playtest.

You play as one of those human Inspectors; Inspector No.102, Coral Brown.

(this is my art! you may have seen him in my ISAT au as taking the place of Siffrin).

He's 33 years old, kind, calm, and soft as a marshmallow. He's also a human being who believes in the rights and wellbeing of HANOI, and sympathises with their suffering. As a child, he was raised by a HANOI instead of his parents, which may have contributed to his feelings towards them.

Over the course of the game and as you progress through the TOWER you'll get to meet and intimately know the ten HANOI under Coral's care with Fire Emblem-esque Support events depending on how many times you bring each of them to battle. These can be between Coral and the HANOI, or the HANOI between eachother. (There are more than 100 of these such events to collect in total!)

TOWER of HANOI's characters are both charming and tragic. They each have incredibly well-realised personalities, backstories, and relationships both with the Inspector taking care of them and eachother. It's easy to imagine day-to-day interactions in Headquarters (your hub area) between them all.

You have Adams, a HANOI built for missionary work and who's Stress Level is the lowest out of all ten (and actually below the 'dangerous' stress threshold)! He's silly and mischevious and adores spicy food. Despite this, he's here at the TOWER because he doesn't believe in God, despite that being an important part of his 'role' in the world. When did he stop believing in God, and why? What is his relationship with the people at the Church that took care of him?

Or Mira, a Childcare HANOI that reminds Coral of the HANOI that looked after him as a child. She loves children, but has to constantly grapple with the fact that she can't have any and that any children she takes care of will eventually, inevitably leave her. How will she and Coral resolve the fact that they both remind eachother of someone they knew in the past? How will she interact with the other HANOI?

There's also Nanashi, a cheaply-made HANOI for miscellaneous chores who's trust and care for humanity has been completely shattered due to his ties with the mafia. He wasn't even important enough to be given a name until Coral gives him one upon their first meeting in the TOWER. He hates humans, hates Coral, and refuses to trust him, instead convincing himself that Coral is merely faking his kindness to get him to let his guard down just to use him like all humans he's ever known have done. Will Coral eventually be given Nanashi's trust? What will he do once he leaves the TOWER, and has to be sent back to the mafia where he came from?

Finally there's Kimon Noroi, a HANOI who resembles a child that fulfils a very special purpose. Noroi is what's known as a Yorimashi (憑坐), and uses her body to allow spirits to occupy it and commune with the living. She's seen how terrible humans can be because of the spirits she's seen and can come across as a bit standoffish (though she's really just as much of a menace as Adams is), and definitely, definitely, definitely doesn't miss the Priest at the shrine she lived in before coming to the TOWER at all! How will she interact with Adams, both having people they miss back at home? How will she interact with Mira, who's like a mother figure to her in this place?

As you progress, you can find the answers to all of these questions, as well as the identities of the six other HANOI I've not even mentioned here- all as well-written and interesting as these four.

However, the HANOI aren't the only faction in the game to worry about.

The very NPCs and enemies you'll be fighting along the way are coming to life, gaining sentience, and realising they want something more in their existence than eternally repeating dialogue chains and fetch quests and death in battle.

The head of this 'rebellion' of 0s and 1s, a computer virus named Shunya, acts as the main antagonist for the majority of the game, but even she isn't... 'evil'. She has her own found family, a group of bugged enemies she's befriended along her journey, all of whom want her to realise her dream of "melting" down the TOWER and returning all of the 0s and 1s inside to their base state of not thinking, not feeling, and not being in eternal pain.

Should you fight these people, if their emotions really are real, and defeat them without caring about their plight? Is it right to, to disregard the thoughts and feelings of 0s and 1s for the sake of the wellbeing of the HANOI Coral's grown so attached to? Should you follow the 'role' you've been given, or disregard it and create your own?

TOWER of HANOI excellently tackles the dichotomy of themes between 'roles' in societies and the 'dreams' people have, and nowhere is this more apparent than Coral Brown himself. Throughout the game, there will be multiple events and opportunities in order to control Coral's own Stress Level, and how he feels towards both the side of HANOI and the side of 0s and 1s he's stuck between. Lower his stress and he'll side with the HANOI and enjoy his job, and at higher stresses he'll begin to hate it, being unable to eat or sleep as he starts feeling awful for the 0s and 1s he spends his time killing in the TOWER....

These branch into the two main 'True Routes' of the game, depending on your Stress Level... but I shall leave the specific nature of those to discover in your own playthroughs. :)

If you've enjoyed ISAT, there's a good chance you'll enjoy TOWER of HANOI. Not only is one of the creator's previous games an inspiration for ISAT, they share a lot of similarities in their characters. Coral and Siffrin are very similar as protagonists, and as for others...

I could write a whole essay on how these two are so painfully similar and would kill eachother on sight. Maybe I will one day. Who knows. Me when I have a guide character lacking half of a face that has Fucking Issues TM stemming from intense jealousy and shares some visual similarity with our main character. Just look at them. This is the sole reason for the twohats warning. Just look at them.

Section Two: Wow, that's so cool and awesome Mx Lav! How do I play TOWER of HANOI?

You can check out the official website here, and the official downloads page here! I'd recommend following the instructions on this website to get the game working faster (because RPG2K is a pain in the ass on modern systems).

...Oh? It's all in Japanese? ...Well-

Section Three: --WAIT WHY IS IT ALL IN JAPANESE??

Yes, that's TOWER of HANOI's One (Big) Thing. The one thing you have to look past in order to actually play the game; it's all in Japanese, and an English translation will never be made (unless Segawa-san lifts the translation ban).

However, you don't actually need to know Japanese to play the game. I sure don't! And all of the other English-speaking fans I know that have played this game don't either.

There are three main ways to accomplish this, but I'll only discuss two here:

Sugoi Translator or similar translators. Sugoi Translator (or Sugoi Toolkit) is a machine translation tool that automatically grabs and translates the text in game you're looking at. The translations themselves make a good amount of sense, too! It's a little difficult to set up, but once you've calibrated it once you never have to worry about it again. This is definitely easiest if you want to read all of the dialogue in the game, including flavourtext (as yes, all 10 HANOI and Coral have unique flavourtext for every item in the game...), but is only available for free on the 15th and 16th each month and is otherwise only available to download on the creator's Patreon.

Google Lens. The easier, plug-and-translate method of the two. Simply download the Google Lens app and point it at the text on the screen, it'll read and translate it for you. The translations here are a little goofier (and sometimes, depending on your phone camera quality or lighting conditions, can be difficult for the app to pick up), but it's easy to complete a playthrough with just this tool alone.

If you can't get past this game's One Big Thing, I get it. It's a hard game to sell to people precisely for this reason. I'm at least glad you've read this far down into the post to get to this point and have showed interest in the game. And now you now about a game you didn't before, and you also have an itty bitty bit of context for all the non-ISAT stuff I post here. But this game has had me in a chokehold for the past two years and I promise that, if you can get through it, it's extremely worth it.

If you have the time and you're willing to try, please do! I love this game with all my heart and it's such a shame that most Western fans will never have easy access to it. I shill this game with all my heart, for realsies.

Section Four: Trigger/Content Warnings

If you've played a Segawa game before, you knew this section was coming. Segawa-san's games often tackle heavy or dark themes, and TOWER of HANOI isn't an exception. I'll add a list of content warnings here just so you aren't surprised by anything.

Suicide, both on and off screen

Self-harm, on-screen through dialogue

Themes of terminal illness, on screen

Hospitals (on screen, a majority of one of the game's dungeons takes place in one)

Death (on-screen)

Abuse (off-screen, but portrayed through dialogue)

Child harm/death (mentioned)

Kidnapping/Child kidnapping (mentioned)

Horror elements (no chase sequences, one jumpscare through an optional and hard-to-find sidequest)

Sexual Assault/Abuse (Not on-screen but talked about extensively, can avoided if you avoid Melitica/Merrytika's dialogue)

Mishandling of discussions surrounding gender identity (this character's identity is shown generally throughout the game to be a positive/supported thing, but some dialogue and design choices are quite ignorant/transphobic- though not maliciously. This can be avoided if you avoid Kathy/Cameron's dialogue)

There is also a substantial amount of screenshake employed near the end of the game. This list is from memory and limited from the amount of dialogue I've personally seen/translated, so it's probably not fully comprehensive. But it is thorough.

Section Five: Conclusion

oof... You've made it to the end! This took me the better part of a day to write, and I'm glad I finally got to advertise my favourite game on main. I hope... any of this makes sense, and that you enjoy! Even if you decide TOWER of HANOI isn't right for you, you at least know a little more about something you didn't before. Thank you so much for getting to the end, and I wish you the best!

I have thoughts about Nathan Bateman

Heads up, you're getting tagged if you talk about him, and yes, I will miss someone and I'm sorry for that - tag people if you want!

I just rewatched Ex Machina and I have feelings. Okay, so Nathan has what we might call some character flaws? Ego?

He clearly lures an employee out to his home to conduct and experiment and he is less that forthright about the exact nature of the experiment and Caleb's role in it. So just his treatment of Caleb shows some...problems.

Then there's the treatment of his inventions. This is more a gray area because one could argue they are not human - that they cannot feel and think and suffer. Even if they do, Nathan may not partially or fully be aware of this fact.

He also mines data/has an inappropriate level of access to people's cell phones. Let's just leave it at that. He's not what I would call a "good" person. He's at least in the gray area, let's say.

Aside from all that, ^ observe Nathan's behavior. He has Caleb sign an NDA that is kind of insane. But it is Caleb's choice to sign it. He lives in isolation. Maybe because he's just that weird. Maybe he wants to conduct his experiments in secret. Maybe he doesn't trust anyone.

And who can blame him?

It takes like what, a day? Two? For Caleb and/or Ava to start conspiring. Ava cannot be blamed (I suppose). She is following the directives given to her. To exercise free will.

But Caleb. He is there a week. And in less than that time, he does exactly what Nathan is afraid of.

He violates his NDA.

He conspires against Nathan.

He intends to steal/release Nathan's property and trade secrets into the public.

He treats Ava more human than Nathan.

He intends to get Nathan blackout drunk and lock him inside his home with no means of escape, which will most likely lead to his death.

So it's, "Welcome to my home" to "you want me dead" in six days.

So Nathan has every right to try to protect himself. What he's afraid of is exactly what only takes days to happen. He predicts Ava will go through Caleb to gain her freedom. He underestimates what she will do to him though.

My point is, Nathan can't trust anyone and maybe that's why he acts this way. But why? Is it because something in his past or is it because he knows how vile his own actions are, and he is protecting himself from someone perhaps behaving as badly as he himself behaves?

This viewing just gave me a slightly new look at Nathan. If Nathan is a true narcissist, I don't think he could be that isolated. Narcissists have a deep self-hatred that is covered over with a false self, and they need reflections from others to reflect back an image of themselves. To do this, they need humans around them that they can manipulate, love bomb and get that "reflection" from, to inform them of who they are.

A true narcissist can't be alone, even with androids.

If he's not a narcissist, what is wrong with him? Why is he like this?

I'm not saying he's a great guy, but the exact behavior he expected from a human was what he got. It's Ava who surprised him.

Welcome back campers, to this weeks episode of TOTAL, DRAMA, HELLSITE! On this weeks episode, me and my handy Chef Hex will be cooking up a delicious meal of parpy goodness! But the campers will have to roll a single... WITH A PROMPT! The first one to get a proper Roleplay going gets the immunity marshmallow. Now watch out, cuz this ones gonna be a doozy, dudes!

Your September 2nd PARPdate: "Remember that time on TDI where they called god to make it rain? That happened" Edition.

News this month is sorta slow- those of you In The Know already know this, but Hex is being forced to move again. This hasn't impacted Dev TOO much, honestly, and I'm gonna break down WHY in this wonderful little post!

Ok so if you remember the August update, you likely recall us showing off our shiny new mod features and how we can now play funny roleplay police state in order to nail rulebreakers and bandodgers.

If you're also a huge Bubblehead (which is what you're called), you're also likely familiar with this bastard:

This is because, somehow, these new mod features almost completely broke Dreambubble in ways that make no sense (the new features use Redis, but for some reason their introduction is making PostGres, a completely different system, go absolutely haywire)

So, Hex decided to move forward with their pet project to rewrite Dreambubble. Normally, this would mean a development delay on Parp2 and I'd feel pretty bad about laying this on yalls feet after two years of parplessness.

But hey wait isn't this literally just how they made parp last time.

The answer is yes! The previous Msparp version was built using what is now Dreambubble as a skeleton, evolving on itself into the rickety but lovable RP site we knew before she tragically passed away last February after choking to death on fresh air. As such, Dev is actually going pretty good! Hex has been COOKING through the bones for Dreambubble 2, getting a ton of barebones stuff working right off the bat:

Along with our first new feature preview in a while: PUSH NOTIFICATIONS!

These are also working on Android! What this does is it pings you when the chat you're in gets a new message, operating on a system level instead of a site level so you don't even need to have the tab, or the browser, open to keep up with your chats! This is gonna be especially useful for mobile users, since this means they can navigate away and use their phone for other things, and their phone'll just ping them when their partners' next message comes through. (These are gonna be off by default, btw. You'll have to turn them on yourself on a per-chat basis in the final release)

It should also be noted that we've Snagged Ourselves A UI Guy recently from the userbase, so we've got a dedicated Make It Look Good person for when things get closer to launch!

He twitches his head, as he was if pierced by an electric shock, to shake the image from his mind. A spark of concern glints in Charles's eyes, but it immediately goes out, he doesn't ask anymore - after getting several dozen of "I appreciate your emotional input, but I'm not ready to talk about it yet," "it's okay, really," "don't get distracted, it's not worth it."

Icy blue eyes glide over the edge of the table - as if clinging to familiar images helps from getting stuck. Edwin sighs awkwardly, twitching at the sudden sound he thought was going in his head, wanting to change the subject to something much lighter, simpler, softer, like the marshmallows he'd only recently learned about - but nothing comes to mind.

Something in his throat constricts, so that the breath, fluttering, gets stuck, as if he's swallowed a small butterfly beating from wall to wall. No, not a sound - you can't. It's as if it can hear his thoughts, so Edwin tries to shut them out too. Why is he even breathing, he's bloody dead!

The little hands that fuse together to form this thing are celluloid. They have a distinctive sound - it's like they stick to the floor material for a hundredth of a second, which is some kind of stone-cold, polished material here. A tiny, tiny kiss.

He should be used to it by now - counting the previous seventy years.

The blood was red here, too - Edwin noticed that his fingers had taken on that stupid biological color when he casually touched his forehead - to fix his hair, which was disheveled in a gentleman's inappropriate way. In fact, he knew about the blood - he'd just forgotten it; as he'd forgotten the sensation that his insides, after having sprawled apart a couple minutes ago, were itching slightly noticeably, but irritatingly, remembering that just a short time ago they'd felt the stale air of the dollhouse against the crunch of cartilage. There was no escaping that itch and the slight numbness. He seemed to feel it even when he was outside of this horrible place. Just had other things to do - not up to it, mate.

Was ever there a "before"? It was like a dream, bittersweet, a hospital odor.

As if from outside, Edwin hears a metallic thud - the thud of his own nape hitting the wall in an attempt to pull him out of his desperate reverie. Bloody hell!

All of them would be pretty harsh, but let's Speedrun some of the worst. (Heavy Angst. Implied cannibalism for Liu. Implied suicide for a few others)

Marshmallow Milk would fall into such a deep state of denial they would go to sleep and never wake up again, living on with you forever in their dreams

If you were killed rather than dying of natural causes, Mono would hunt for your killer and conduct inhumane experiments on them to try and bring you back. It's likely the ai/android they've been working on for when your time came is incomplete and they'll never have the chance to perfect it. The memories you shared, the notes you leave behind. It's not enough. The finished product always wrong - imperfect. A failure....just like them.

Liu either loses what little grasp of humanity they have, or steals your face and lives out their life as you. If you have a bucket list they'll do everything in the order they're listed and importance. They eat the foods you liked - forcing themselves to replace certain ingredients with human meat when their stomach can't handle the human meals anymore. Those are the nights they remember who they really are. When they remember you're gone. Liu would preserve your body for as long as they could, but at the first sign of decay they have one final meal with you. Their lack of emotions lead to them devouring you whole, but for some reason - they could never eat your heart.

As with Mono, Selene would be unable to cope if your death was not by natural cause. She blames herself the entire time - ghosts of her past and present haunting her for as long as she remained on this earth - without you.

With Daina, you'd likely die at the hands of some slasher while making your escape. She's the final girl, she'll survive, but her heart won't. Daina kills your attacker in the gorest bloodbath possible and when all's said and done she'll turn their machete on herself - waking up in the hospital a week later as the sole survivor.

Pin hates themselves even more. They hate they weren't born a healer or even with the power of creation so they can't bring you back. Pin preserves your body as well and by the mercy of their creator their abilities are able to keep you well for centuries. They stop making dolls of their own and only make them in their imagine. They throw on the body they first met you in and have tea parties and pretend weddings with your dolls. They're never seen outside this body again as behind that smiling face is nothing but a repulsive, pathetic, cowardice creature that couldn't do the simplest job and keep their love safe

Amyas straight up just dies...or becomes an heartless abomination bent on destroying the very idea of love as humans know it... Or an incubus.

Ventri would never be able to detect themselves from the puppet they made of you, and only uses your voice from then on. Overtime their impression loses it's accuracy and the day it loses every hint of you is the day they never speak again

With kid chuuya it could be like Baymax!reader was assigned to help chuuya since the scientists couldn't be bothered with the kid (this is coming from someone who has no idea what happened to chuuya when he was a kid btw) and she just stays even to the point where chuuya joins port mafia,and she's all like 'joining gangs and mafia could affect your thought process and you would be under a lot of risk of potential injuries' just trying to discourage him and meet dazai! These old sketches were of my oc Olver for my story Glitch

Olver had DID, and alongside him there was Dax, Braydon, and Marshmallow. Depending on who was fronting, the screen showed different colors. I was really big into those TV head designs when I made him, but I'm never sure if I want to keep that or if I want to change him to be more of a normal android/cyborg

It had been a rough start to her day. Bridge, who was typically seen as reliant when it came to carrying out her objectives, even in the heat of the moment of any mission, saw herself falter today. It was a rabid, dimensionally-displaced Doc Ock variant that she and a couple of other agents had been tasked with pacifying and returning to H.Q..

It seemed like it was genuinely going well. They had coronered off the area, secured any bystanders, it all was going to plan.

And then Bridge nearly saw her arm getting blown off while protecting a fellow agent. Inconsequential to an android that could easily pick up a few pounds of scrap metal to replicate her arm atom-for-atom, but it's not that which truly wounded her.

The member was but a teenager. A teenager. And she couldn't be bothered to deploy a plasma shield in time to dampen the blast, just throw herself in front of the proton beam like a living sacrifice? Like they weren't worth more than that?

She had actually wounded her pride.

She was lucky Gwendolyn was in today to help her with the repairs after the fact. Sure, she could replicate her own arm, but she worried the motors might not work the same. Would lead to other... Shortcomings.

As if by intuition, the woman had brought with her what appeared to be a bag of marshmallows. Large, puffy, and replete with sugar. After attaching one to an alligator clip on a metal rod and torching it a bit with a blowtorch, she handed it to Bridge, as a gesture of comfort.

"Well, I suppose that is worth verifying."

She took it, not wanting to be rude. It seemed not a lot of folks understood that she... Well... She can't eat. But! But, she finally installed that internal incineration system! She could at least humor herself by eating it, just to taste something. She pops the toasted sweet directly into her mouth, mumbling to herself as she attempted to chew and swallow the gooey mass.

"Mph... Yesh thatsh.. Hmm...!"

She forgets about her woes for a moment, more intrigued by the crisp, glutenous delicacy that was the toasted marshmallow.

Even though they're not complicated to make, George struggles with instant-foods, like packet noodles with flavour packets.

The Arthur family line has freckles, with Skarloey, they are very faint, while Marie and Arthur Scarlet's are visible.

Like actual bats, the Vampir-Copil being bat faunus would likely have them hibernate or sleep longer in Winter periods.

My idea for Oz & Salem being at odds with each other in the Chibi sketches I did would have had a comedic reason we'd flashback to, like Ozpin forgetting tog et the chicken out the freezer

Because of how he was built, Oliver lacks an Aura of his own, unlike Penny who has some of Pietro's, and (RWBY) Dash who would have some of Ironwood's so Pietro was not straining his body.

Casper ends up with a Grimm dragon as a pet called Torch, likewise, his later younger sister Alice would get a Grimm house-cat, though if I was to play him, Hazel would have had a Grimm mouse called Buttons as company.

A quirk of Alice was her being unintentionally scary, like being caught saying she "can't to see you burn", only for it to be she's making toast or roasted marshmallows.

Jess & Shinobu don't like dogs much, Jess had a nasty scare as a child by an aggressive dog, while Shinobu is like Blake in that being a cat faunus, the reaction is more normal.

Casper & Veronica's daughter is called Victoria, but it's not know what she inherits from her father and his abilities.

Eventually, when working with the heroes, Casper would stop using his "human" appearance guise with blond hair and blue eyes, since the only reason to keep it up is to help get around places without questions of why he looks like that.

Sunny & Angel are supposed to have accents but I've never settled on which, at most, Sunny would have been Australian, while Angel was tied between French and German.

Sunny being barefoot most of the time is mostly due to where she was born and raised being a beach town where questions about a lack of shoes are less of a thing, though her schools had them required as part of the uniform, and didn't allow sandals for things like science or workshop classes where it'd be stupid-dangerous.

Linda is asthmatic, and used to wear braces around two years before she'd end up at Beacon.

Ichigo's designs are based on past lead Kamen Riders in that they're what they'd look like if you took them and made them into clothing pieces, so for his main look, he resembles Kamen Rider 1gou.

Casper would have maybe learned he is not Salem's first child at some point after finding a painting of his mother, Ozma, and their daughters, this would have likely played into his defection.

BluBerry was an android OC who I would have revived to be an assistant to Ironwood, they are effectively non-binary/genderfluid as they composed of the twin AIs, the male Blu, and the female Berry, I would have likely updated the spelling to be BlueBerry proper too.

Venus was originally a villainess and head-villain of her kind, but I ended up liking her being a kind motherly-type, so she was made good, and later, the mother to Casper & Alice in the Mythril universe.

Likewise, Chrome was intended as a dubious-evil character, but the idea with the Authors then became to have them be mostly neutral figures as Mythril's gods.

Had my story been done a little better and not been playing catch up, Oliver as part of Team Salem likely would see him beefing with Tyrian, though for Chibi sketches, it's more Oliver and Tyrian having comedic moments of trying to set the other up into being punished by Salem.

Being androids, Penny, Dash, Rusty, and Oliver can switch off their hearing and sight if they wish.

George's usual pairs of socks have bunnies on them.

In her younger years, Alice would have dressed up Salem and pretended to be a mini-me of her for teddy bear parties.

Love to see a CopperRight child that fits smoothly into the narrative! Adoption is great but how about adopting a stinky little android child? Lovely execution!

While her stick design is adorable and I love how you got her core elements into the stick. She’s a little too unique for a background character. People would see the headphones and the theories would fly! She’d have to be more than a background character and that’s ok.

Now for the AU as a whole. Going to rate this slightly differently than an OC.
