What EVILS Lie After Death? "We Go On" reviewed! (Lightyear Entertainment / Remastered Blu-ray)
Get Haunted as “We Go On” is now on Blu-ray!
Miles Grissom lives in fear every minute of his life. What scares the editor of shoddily performed, midnight television infomercials the most is the unknown after death. The question is Is there a life after you die or is there just a black void of nothingness? To answer that existential question, Miles places a quarter page newspaper ad seeking an…

Paralyzed by his fear of dying, Miles Grissom (Clark Freeman) offers a cash reward to the first person who can show him a ghost, an angel, a demon, or anything to prove the existence of an afterlife. He narrows responses down to three candidates - a scientist, a medium, and a worldly entrepreneur. And along with his fiercely protective mother (Annette O'Toole), he embarks on an adventure that will spiral into an unthinkable nightmare.

We don’t use the cross because the atonement is more important and we want to focus on the fact that He rose again
Because we are a restored church, the restored new testament church, we do not use the iconography that came about much later
The lives of our people must be the symbol of our faith
If any will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me
The crosses we bear, rather than the one we wear
Lgbtq+ mention and not in the best way
J Annette Dennis 1st counselor relief society
Jack and his dog – how just how do you not notice that? – graphic injury warning
Nothing you do makes much of a difference if you do not have charity
We are commanded to love others, not judge them. Let’s lay down that heavy burden – it isn’t ours to carry.
“Who am I to judge another, when I walk imperfectly?”
Do not judge anyone for anything about themselves – race, culture, sexual orientation, gender, religion, etc.
Each person on this earth is a child of God, and He loves each one.
You Can Make the Pathway Bright
Gerrit W. Gong
Do you remember believing in happily ever after, or at least wanting to? And then we “grew up” (dude I don’t think I did though – kinda obsessed with retellings of fairytales lol)
We believe or want to believe that happy and forever are out there and possible
It is as part of Heavenly Fathers plan
It makes all the difference to know who our family are
1st we are offered the opportunity of resurrection
2nd we can repent through the atonement
3rd God knows and loves us perfectly
4th the Lord gives us divine opportunity to become like Him
5th a symmetry in repentance and forgiveness helps us to forgive others
However we may feel as we begin, we feel whole as we trust Him
Joseph W. Sitati
When we align ourselves with these eternal realities, we feel more peace and harmony in our lives
We find heavens sociality in each other
Story of Korihor
Prioritize the glory of God, not the glory of the world
How we come into this world is less important than who we are when we leave it
Humility before God is a foundational aspect for His disciples
Discipleship is not a burden but a joy
Love God above all things, and love others as you love yourself
When we focus on loving God and others, we understand better our own divine selves and learn how to love ourselves more
Learn to know and honor God and share His love with posterity – will bring great blessings.
We Thank The O God for a Prophet
Steven J. Lund
Talking about FSY
When immersed in the love of God and learning about Christ for a whole week, they don’t come back the same
Finding joy in this world of prophesied destruction without becoming part of the world and leaving behind the distractions of lesser things
After I leave, what do I do to remain strong? How can loving God turn into lasting discipleship
Keep doing at home what you have learned to do here
Your discipleship isn’t just a slogan on a t-shirt – it has become a true part of your life
You don’t have to wear the badge to bear His name
David A. Bednar
The story only conveys divine truth to the receiver as they seek to understand
The parable of the royal marriage feast – Matthew 22:1-14 is the parable, 15-22 is the pharisees response
We as guests are invited (commanded) to attend by the Lord
He gives us garments from His own wardrobe
Why aren’t you wearing what has been provided for you?
Do you have any reasonable excuse? Do not be put in a place where you remain speechless
We have God’s call, and our individual response to His call
We can choose to be chosen, through the righteous exercise of our own agency
Many are called but few are chosen – D&C 121: 34-36
The things of the world are a short-term preoccupation – especially when you consider the eternity of God’s timing in the gospel
How Great the Wisdom and the Love
President Russell M. Nelson
Experiencing the love of them is vital
Many things are coming in these coming days
Where do you find rest in the Savior?
Matthew 11: 28-30
John 16: 33
Because He overcame the world for each of us, we can overcome our own selves
Despite the destractions and distortions that swirl around us, you can find rest, meaning peace
What does it mean to overcome the world?
Overcoming the temptation to care more about things of this world than things of God
Trusting the doctrines of Christ more than the philosophies of men
Does not mean becoming perfect, or that your problems will go away, or that you won’t make mistakes
But your resistance to sin will increase, and your heart will soften as your faith in Jesus Christ increases
How do we do it?
The natural man is an enemy to God – Mosiah 3:19
Anytime you do things that people of the world wouldn’t do you are overcoming the world
Living the doctrine of Christ and creating spiritual momentum
While the world insists certain things bring happiness, they do not! They cannot! They are a hallow substitute. It is exhausting to seek happiness where you can never find it!
Christ has the power to lift you above this world
How does overcoming the world bless our lives?
Entering into a covenant relationship with God binds us to Him, in a way that makes everything about life easier
There is still opposition
You have access to His strength and redeeming power
Take charge of your own testimony, work for it, nurture it, feed it truth. Do not fill it with philosophies of men
Watch for miracles
How does the temple teach you to rise above this fallen world?
Choose Jesus Christ over the world
Letting God prevail in your life = greater peace, confidence, joy, and rest
Hot Vintage TV Women's Bracket - List of the Ladies!
As promised below is a full list of all 130 women in the Hot Vintage TV Women's Tournament! Thank you to everyone who submitted their favs!
Just a brief bit of cleanup before the list. Thank you for all the submissions. If your submission didn't make it into the bracket or some of your propaganda isn't used know that I still appreciated the submission even if we weren't able to use it. Some things got cut for being outside the bounds of the tournament, some things got cut because the links were broken, etc. Anything I wasn't sure about got brought to family and friends for a second opinion. I did my best to keep as much in as possible but some things just ended up leaning too far outside of our criteria. If you notice some stuff that seems outside the criteria slip by it's because I tried to be very generous so as long as something wasn't obviously outside of our time period or rules I usually gave it a pass.
Anyway, I am working on the bracket as we speak and apologize in advance cause I don't think there's any way to make round 1 completely painless, as you'll see we have a pretty stacked line-up so I'm excited to see how things work out! Enjoy and see you all on Monday April 15th for round one of the Hot Vintage TV Women's Bracket!
Pleasant start to the morning. It was a little brisk but we all were out of our tents by 6:30am or so. We had our standard breakfasts (oatmeal, coffee/tea) and we packed up our gear. While we were pulling things together the moms next door came by with a couple of their kids to wish us well and to have us tell their kids a little about our cycling adventures. Perhaps they will ride the Divide in a few short years!
Today looked to be an all gravel day although we didn’t know what that meant. All gravel? Some double track? Single track? We would certainly find out.
Early in the ride.
Coming out of Holland Lake we turned east away from the highway. The road quickly turned upward, gaining 1000’ in less than 10 miles. A dip, a pop, another dip, and we were climbing again. This time 1500’ in 6 miles. Somewhere along the way we came off the traveled road and turned onto a closed forest service road that was really a double track route with no car tracks and few bike tracks (except, of course, J, J, & N who were somewhere ahead of us). The double track was easy, with few obstacles. In some places we rode through high grass. The views back into the Swan Valley were quite impressive.
Views back on Swan Valley.
Some double track.
David’s happy. All is right with the world.
Near the top of the climb, the double track stopped and turned into a single track. It was more like a hiking trail but it was open to cyclists. The view of the Seeley Valley below us at that point was absolutely stunning. I’d like to say the view was what shot my heart rate up but the reality was that the single track clinging to the side of a mountain is what really got me going.
Jose, the great descender, took the lead. Ed followed. David and I were a little more tentative. Me because I’m uncomfortable with heights and David because this was literally his 3rd single track experience.
VIDEO TO FOLLOW.
On one twenty foot stretch, I quickly came to understand our navigation systems caution on the route: “Slide Zone - road has failed in the past”. Jose and Ed zipped right over this 18 inch wide track with a 100s foot drop on the left side. A few other less precarious stretches were nail-biters, nonetheless.
Jose and Ed bombed down the course. Once the single track pulled away from the edge, I was able to open up. David was right behind.
I’m the red speck in the pic
You’ve got to zoom to see David in this pic.
Of the 3-4 miles of mountainside hugging single track, only about a half mile was treacherous to me. The rest was totally exhilarating. Congrats to Jose and Ed for riding it like pros.
The single track spilled out onto a gravel road which basically carried us into Seeley Lake. In 13 miles we gave back all of our elevation gain for the day. It was a great way to pull into town.
VIDEO TO FOLLOW.
We stopped for the best sandwiches we’ve ever gotten from an Ace Hardware Store. Town was hopping. Every ice cream shop had a line. We filled our bellies, drank plenty of fluids, and then got back on our bikes for the final climb into Placid Lake.
It’s always a mistake to eat big and then ride in the heat. We needed the food and the rest and we knew we would pay for it. The eight miles to our final campground of the trip were mostly uphill on soft gravel. The steepness of the climbs took us by surprise. The heat drained us.
Immediately upon entering the Placid Lake State Park Campground we saw John and met his wife Beth. The other John and Nick were at another campsite with Bill and Annette (and Finn their pooch) who we would soon meet. John and Beth offered us a beer and an invitation for dinner. We gratefully accepted!
While looking for a campsite, a woman approached Ed and offered us one she had reserved but wasn’t using. Again, we gratefully accepted.
Since we had no change to pay for showers, we all headed to the lake for our second lake bath in two days. Back at our campsite we considered setting up tents but decided to just wait until after dinner. Once we were all spiffied up we walked over to Bill & Annette’s lakeside campsite for a fantastic dinner, beers, and conversation. After profusely thanking them for a wonderful evening we headed back to our camp for the night.
All was peaceful until Jose started shouting in his sleep while having a nightmare. My guess is he was dreaming about riding across the slide area but he doesn’t remember!
