Well, our "very small and early party" last night [at Lady Sefton's] was quite as agreeable as ever; but I must be permitted to observe that, considering the rigid virtue of Lady Sefton and the profound darkness in which her daughters of from 30 to 40 are brought up as to even the existence of vice, the party was as little calculated to protract the delusion of these innocents as any collection to be made in London could well be. There were Mrs. F--- L--- and Lord Chesterfield, who came together and sat all night; Lady E--- and the Pole or Prussian or Austrian -- whichever he is --- whom they call "Cadland" because he beat The Colonel (Anson). Anything so impudent as she, or so barefaced about the whole thing, I never beheld; Princess Esterhazy and Lady ---, Lady --- and [Lord] Palmerston -- in short, by far the most notorious and profligate women in London.
Thomas Creevey to Miss Ord, 10 Mar 1829 (Thomas Creeveyâs Papers, 1793-1838, ed. John Gore).

2. Lady Ellenborough, nee Jane Digby (please see Mary S. Lovell (1998). A Scandalous Life: A Biography of Jane Digby. Fourth Estate)
3. Cadland (horse) beat The Colonel (horse ditto) at the Derby in 1828. Meanwhile Prince Felix Ludwig Johann Friedrich zu Schwarzenberg (Austrian aristocrat) beat Colonel George Anson (a terrible boyfriend) in a different race. Later he turned the nickname âcadâ into a pejorative by declining to marry Jane after her (first) divorce.
4. Lady ---, and Lady ---: ? please advise.

A Derby green ground and gilt French Revolutionary Wars Naval action Tea service, painted by George Robertson, circa 1800
Each piece is painted with a naval scene from the engagement between the French frigate La Loire and the brig-sloop H.M.S. Kangaroo on 18th October 1798. Such sets were very popular with captains and their wives, as they were usually given away by traders who had been rescued from an emergency situation. But also battles were often presented as trophies by the involved captians to show off to the neighbours.
About the Battle: H.M.S. Kangaroo was an 18-gun Diligence Class brig-sloop launch in 1795 and sold out the service in 1802. This set portrays an action she was involved in following the battle of Tory Island on 12th October 1798 where a Royal Naval squadron under Sir John Borlase Warren (1753-1822) defeated a French fleet sent with reinforcements for the French army which had landed in Mayo in support of the rebellion by the United Irishmen. This French fleet had sailed before the news reached France that the rebellion had been successfully crushed and the French army defeated.
As the French fleet scattered after the battle, Kangaroo in company with the frigate H.M.S. Mermaid chased the French frigate La Loire of 44 guns. Having lost the Frenchman that day they caught up the following day and after giving battle, Loire was able to give them the slip. On the 18th October her luck ran out when she again ran into Kangaroo, this time in company with the razee frigate H.M.S. Anson. She was brought to action and forced to strike her colours when she ran out of ammunition and later passed into the Royal Navy as H.M.S. Loire.

Whereas the 2019 Kentucky Derby this week was overshadowed not only by questions of equine welfare but also by the biggest scandal in the history of the race (the winner was disqualified for impeding another horse), Edgar Wallace in 1932 invented a scandal of the opposite nature that became an instant classic of the London stage and continued to entertain repertory audiences for decades - all without setting even so much as a horse's hoof on an actual piece of turf. Despite the distinctly out-of-doors subject matter, The Calendar is a drawing-room drama par excellence, thanks to the intricate simplicity of its construction. The durability of the material proved crucial again in 1956, when the play was selected to represent the very era of the well-made play it had inaugurated and which the event in question would - perhaps not entirely to the surprise of anyone involved - bring to a close.
For one night only, artists from every show in town appeared together on the stage of the London Coliseum in aid of a venerable 80-year old institution: theGreen Room Club had, with its benevolent fund, always been at hand to assist members of the theatrical profession in times of need, but now the Club itself required an urgent injection of cash. Anall-star midnight matinee was devised, to reflect the cream of entertainment enjoyed by London audiences throughout the Club's existence. Arrangements were made for the Green Room Cavalcade to take place onMonday, 5 March 1956, at 11.30pm, roughly half an hour after that night's final curtains would fall on regular performances. London Transport laid on extra services to accommodate the theatre-going crowds, who instead of rushing home to get a good night's sleep would be pouring into St Martin's Lane for three more hours of dramatic distractions.
A delectable distraction for those in the auditorium, the event demanded a feat of concentration from those on the other side of the proscenium arch who for their partnot only had to make sure they would attend the charity performance but to make it happen in the first place. They too had to make their way from the first venue of the evening to the Coliseum but in the same time it took the audience to find their seats they would have had to accomplish not only a change of scenery but of costume, complexion and character as well. From the announcement of the Cavalcade on 12 January 1956, under the auspices of Lord and Lady Olivier, to curtains up on the night a mere six weeks had to suffice for procurement and preparation, recruitment and rehearsals - which of course coincided with the normal routines of current, commercial West End productions.
Ring For Catty went into rehearsal on 16 January and opened at the Lyric Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue on 14 February. Advertised as a comedy, it might surprise an unsuspecting audience by chronicling the mostly declining health of patients on a tuberculosis ward, not all of whom will still be alive at the end of the show. Leonard White is the young bank clerk whose bed will be reassigned before the night is out, and his early departure on 5 March may have helped casually affluent Garry Anson arrive in time for his hearing before the Stewards of the Jockey Club. It is a serious allegation that has brought matters to a head for the distinguished race horse owner who on a whimsical impulse decides to pull his horse.
He then makes his second impulsive mistake in writing a note to inform his childhood friend Lady Wenda Panniford about the plan. Regret is almost instantaneous, and a second, explanatory note goes out to Darling Wenda. For Garry this resolves the issue. By an extremely fortuitous stroke of luck his horse even wins the race, but why does Wenda claim she never received the second note? Garry feels unable to fathom the heart of a woman, but as the Stewards explain in their devastating verdict: in the interest of the turf there is only one decision to be taken. The Calendar of the title refers to the Ascot Racing Calendar in which Garry Anson's shame will be published - unless the Stewards can be convinced that it is the blameless gentleman, and not the duplicitous lady, who must be believed. The 15-minute court room scene would have been chosen for its self-contained dramatic qualities (any missing plot details would have been supplied by Eric Portman), minimal stagecraft requirements, and the lightest possible load to be born by the aspiring new lead - while he is still facing three hostile judges and one mercenary femme fatale.Â
The accusers and prosecutors in this case would have been lending their seasoned professional support to the novice protagonist, a novice at any rate in West End terms but one who had risen through the ranks of repertory theatre to emerge at what we know now was a point of transition in the history of post-war British theatre: whenthe entire cast of the Green Room Cavalcade went on stage for the last number, it was a grand finale in more ways than one,and the move from the drawing room to the kitchen sink was already underway. The Green Room Club did benefit, briefly, from the £4,000 of box office takings and struggled on for another 48 years. Anne Crawford tragically died of leukaemia in October of 1956. The new leading man-to-be, poised to join the establishment on the eve of a theatrical revolution, would place his bets with both but in the end would run for neither.

Hot Wheels Invades National Champions to Conclude Winter Season
Being a champion means being the absolute best at what one does. Thatâs something the New England Patriots said in early February when they hoisted the Lombardi Trophy for a sixth time. Joey Logano raised the Monster Energy Championship last November at Homestead, and weeks prior, the best team by far in Major League Baseball raised a World Series trophy, the Boston Red Sox.
Each event for Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live is considered itâs own championship event. No season points, no multiple champions, but at the end of each show is a champion.
The final week of the winter tour for the tour invaded a venue that not long ago got to say they were the best. It was in early April when the Virginia Cavaliers could tell the world they were the absolute best in college basketball, as they won the bracket and brought home the biggest title in basketball. It was only fitting that the final stop come at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia, the Cavaliersâ home court. The hardwood was not on the floor for this weekend, but rather stacks of cars, tires, and vans to welcome droves of fans for some intense action on what has been a spectacular start to the series.
Saturday provided an evening show with a full Crash Zone to every fan with a paid ticket, many of which waited hours for the doors to open prior to the show.
Once the red carpets were moved, and the trucks did their traditional parade lap for introductions, the stacked crowd was ready for some intense competition, and they got that right away with the opening wheelie contest.
Every truck attacked the cars with power, but going early had its benefits because one week removed from his first Titan Cup, Cody Holman made the Bone Shaker hot rod roar to life, sending the skull on the nose towards the roof each hit. Despite the remaining five trucks putting on a strong effort, Holman was the top dog in the show, taking the opening competition.
After a bit of entertainment by hosts Ken Navitsky and Freddie Shepard, it was time to spin things into the donut competition, but it ultimately was more of the same since once again, Snellen took the V8 Bomber into a cyclone that smoked up the venue, and put his streak of consecutive contest wins at 20, an unbelievable mark.
But, following the antics of freestyle motocross, one truck would go on ad dominate the remaining events of the evening.
Derick Anson was held out of a Titan Cup a week ago in the Demo Derby Cadillac. However, he was not wanting to give up and decided to push his chassis to the limit on this evening. He started out quickly with a strong launch in the long jump competition, something heâs been accustomed to all year long. Then, after intermission, he worked his way through the bracket and matched up against Christian Norman in the Hot Wheels Racing 1 Raptor. A quick reaction time and a heavy right foot put Anson on top on this night, meaning he was in prime position for the overall championship.
All that was left was freestyle, but that competition got off to a rough, and wild, beginning.
Darron Schnell was one of the early trucks to take to the track and decided to take the all-blue Bigfoot machine right to the center of the track and hammer the van stack. The problem was, the rear tires were not quite straight on the stack, unlike the front. The truck pitched hard to the left, and hammered the concrete floor. Despite laying on the throttle trying to get the truck to correct, the concrete won and Bigfoot was on itâs side, the second roll for any truck on the circuit.
Immediately officials hit the kill radio and rushed to the truck, along with Norman, his brother Phillip, and Schnellâs wife, Rebecca. Luckily, the driver was alright. After maneuvering the truck around a bit in order to have enough room to put the truck on the wheels, the truck was righted onto the tires, and the crews reviewed the aftermath.
Surprisingly, the body itself only showed some scuff marks right on the cab where it slid across the floor. But, the left-front wheel was a different story. The tire was holding air, but the rim itself was bent hard, and would ultimately need replaced.
Still, the truck fired back up and was pulled into the pits, allowing the competition to continue.
As the action got back under way, every truck pushed things harder, including Snellen almost getting on his side after a cross-thread hit on the cars. But, at the end of it all, Anson would push harder than anyone and ultimately be declared the winner, and that was more than enough to take home the Titan Cup on this night. A champion once again, Anson celebrated with the fans afterwards in the autograph line.
SATURDAY RESULTS:
Wheelie Competition: Cody Holman, Bone Shaker
Donut Contest: Steven Snellen, V8 Bomber
Long Jump: Derick Anson, Demo Derby
Racing Finals: Derick Anson, Demo Derby, def. Christian Norman, Hot Wheels Racing 1
Freestyle: Derick Anson, Demo Derby
Titan Cup Champion: Derick Anson, Demo Derby
It became all-hands on to ensure all the trucks were ready for the final performance of not just the weekend, but also the final performance of the winter tour. Teams were working together to make sure the Bigfoot truck was ready to go for the mid-afternoon matinee, when in fact there was not as much damage as expected. Aside from the bent rim and the body rub, the actual chassis was fully intact.
Call them battle scars, or call it pushing the envelope, but every team was prepared for the final performance and showed it when the fans came in for the final crash zone.
What became of the final performance was a truck that only had one Cup to his name, but decided to make the ultimate performance on this day. Bobby Holman had the most unique body on his truck all season, an aquatic mammal that was deemed the Tiger Shark. To start the Sunday program, that Shark pointed its nose directly at the roof of the arena on both hits, enough to earn him the top honors to start the afternoon.
Snellen once again decided to spin his way to a donut victory, what would be his 21st consecutive, but then Bobby showed that the ole Shark can sky out of the water along with look to the roof.
His long jump victory gave him two wins on the night, which was more than when he won his Titan Cup a few weeks prior. When it came to racing, the Hall of Fame driver showed he too can still get the job done on the lights, as he bested even Anson to get the racing victory on the afternoon. At that point, with three wins, the Cup was heading back to Ohio, but the Shark was wanting to make a near sweep of the event.
Alas, Anson had other ideas.
For a second straight day, the Demo Derby machine was roaring to life and made the floor of the John Paul Jones Arena his own personal playground. Anson would be the freestyle champion, but on the final show, it was the Tiger Shark taking home the Titan Cup, and bragging rights.
SUNDAY RESULTS:
Wheelie Competition: Bobby Holman, Tiger Shark
Donut Contest: Steven Snellen, V8 Bomber
Long Jump: Bobby Holman, Tiger Shark
Racing Finals: Bobby Holman, Tiger Shark, def. Derick Anson, Demo Derby
Freestyle: Derick Anson, Demo Derby
Titan Cup Champion: Bobby Holman, Tiger Shark
And there it is, the final event of the winter tour for the inaugural Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live season. So, does that mean that everything is done, and the tour will be dormant for the next seven or eight months?
Far from it. As was posted on the Hot Wheels Live Facebook page, this Friday will be a major announcement. According to the post, the âsmashing and crashing is not done yet.â
So, does this mean some summer dates have been achieve, maybe perhaps some shows that are not set up at arenas, but more along the lines of being outdoors? After all, these trucks have only done shows on concrete. Could we see some faster speeds, bigger air, and even bigger obstacles following the announcement?
All we know is Friday is a big day for the tour, and immediately after, be sure to visit HotWheelsMonsterTrucksLive.com to find out even more details.

Wo liegt der Little Blue Lake in Tasmanien? Warum ist Little Blue Lake blau?
Avro Anson I âN4877 / MK-Vâ (G-AMDA) by Alan Wilson Via Flickr: c/n unknown. Built 1938. Previously flying with the Skyfame collection at Staverton. Now painted in 500 (County of Kent) sqn markings and on permanent static display in the âAirSpaceâ hangar at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford Airfield, Cambridgeshire, UK. 26th January 2018 The following history for N4877 comes from the IWM website:- âThis was built at the Avro factory at Newton Heath, Manchester and was taken on charge by the Royal Air Force on Nov 17, 1938. It was delivered to 26 M.U. Lowley on December 2nd for ferry work, and transferred to No. 2 Ferry Pilots' Pool at Filton on February 4, 1939. With the formation of the Air Transport Auxiliary, it was transferred to their No.3 F.P.P. at White Waltham on May 2, 1940 and remained there when the unit was renumbered as No. 1 F.P.P. in November. A flying accident on March 19, 1941 necessitated repairs by Marshall's Flying School, Cambridge, and the Anson returned to White Waltham on Jan 4, 1942, where it remained for the rest of the war with the A.T.A. In Sept 1945 it was given a major inspection by Western Airways at Weston, and then delivered to the Station Flight at Watchfield on April 5, 1946. Another accident on May 8, 1947 caused its transfer to 48 M.U. Hawarden, whence it was removed for repair by the manufacturers in Feb 1948. On Oct 13, it was delivered to 23 M.U. Aldergrove, and on March 16, 1949 it returned to Watchfield again. On March 14, 1950 it was flown to 5 M.U. at Kemble for disposal, and the Air Navigation & Trading Co. Ltd bought it in July 1950. They registered the aircraft as G-AMDA and flew it to Squires Gate. It was issued a Certificate of Airworthiness on Oct 14, 1953. In Aug 1955, it was sold to Derby Aviation Ltd for magnetic survey work under contract to the Nuffield Foundation, in association with Canadian Aero Service Ltd. After conversion at Burnaston, it was used for towing an aerial magnetometer "bird", with special recording gear installed in the cabin. This work continued at intervals until the end of 1961, when it was transferred to the London School of Flying at Elstree for general pilot training and twin conversion work, which continued until the C. of A. expired in Dec 1962. On August 31, 1963 it was flown to Skyfame Ltd Staverton on a special permit. There it was repainted in R.A.F. markings of the early war period, with the code letters VX-F. This code group was issued in 1940 to No. 206 (G.R.) Squadron of Coastal Command. It was repainted in 2003 in the markings of the aircraft flown by Pilot Officer P W Peters, 500 (County of Kent) Squadron, which on 1 June 1940 shot down two Me-110 aircraft in an engagement over the English Channel.â

During the First World War, the area around Etaples was the scene of immense concentrations of Commonwealth reinforcement camps and hospitals. It was remote from attack, except from aircraft, and accessible by railway from both the northern or the southern battlefields. In 1917, 100,000 troops were camped among the sand dunes and the hospitals, which included eleven general, one stationary, four Red Cross hospitals and a convalescent depot, could deal with 22,000 wounded or sick. In September 1919, ten months after the Armistice, three hospitals and the Q.M.A.A.C. convalescent depot remained.

The cemetery contains 10,769 Commonwealth burials of the First World War, the earliest dating from May 1915. Hospitals were again stationed at Etaples during the Second World War and the cemetery was used for burials from January 1940 until the evacuation at the end of May 1940. After the war, a number of graves were brought into the cemetery from other French burial grounds. Of the 119 Second World War burials, 38 are unidentified. Etaples Military Cemetery also contains 658 German burials and a few war graves of other nationalities. The cemetery, the largest Commission cemetery in France, was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.

Peppery Southern Grits, Tomato Jam and Braised Greens â Healthy, Plant-Based, Oil-Free, Gluten-Free, Comfort Food, Vegan Recipe
Advanced |Â Servings: 4Â |Â Ready In: 60 minutes |Â Yield:
Southern Tomato Jam is full of flavor as sweet tomatoes get a kick from spicy peppers and bright balsamic. Cooked low and slow, itâs best enjoyed over pepper vegan grits. Oil-free braised chard and make this the ultimate comfort food dish. For a full gluten-free meal, enjoy with Southern Style Vegan Cornbread, Sweet Corn Succotash, and Raw Chocolate Pecan Kentucky Derby Pie.
Ingredients
For the Southern Peppery Grits:
3 cups water (or vegetable stock)
2 cups almond milk (or other plant-based milk)
1/2 tablespoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1 bay leaf
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup dry Corn Polenta Grits
For the Sweet Heat Tomato Jam:
1/2 pint grape tomatoes
1 (15-ounce) canned diced tomatoes (no salt added)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 tablespoon fresh thyme
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Caramelized Onions and Chard:
1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
1 bunch chard, stems separated from the stalks and both chopped
How itâs Done
To make the Sweet Heat Tomato Jam: Combine the halved tomatoes, canned tomatoes, balsamic, thyme, bay leaf, paprika, and 1/2 cup water in a medium pot. Cover and simmer on medium-low for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and cook another 10-20 minutes, until most of the liquid has steamed off and you reach a thick, jam-like consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Keep warm until ready to serve. While the Tomato Jam simmers, you can make the Grits and Chard
To make Peppery Southern Grits: Combine the water, almond milk, black pepper, salt, paprika, cayenne, bay leaf, and garlic in a medium pot. Cover and bring to a boil. While the mixture is boiling, start whisking. Pour in the grits, while you continue to whisk. Keep whisking and let the grits come to a simmer. Whisk another minute or so, to be sure there are no clumps in the grits.
Reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes or so. Use a wooden spoon to stir and scrape out the corners to ensure no grits are sticking to the sides.
After 15 minutes, remove the lid and let any excess moisture cook off. You want to be able to hold a âlineâ when you scrape a wooden spoon across the bottom of the pan. If the line doesnât hold for a couple of seconds, the grits are too loose. Keep cooking.
When the grits are ready, taste to adjust seasoning. Keep warm until ready to serve.
To make the Caramelized Onion and Chard: Heat a medium saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions and spread into a single layer in the pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring every few minutes, until the onions are well-browned, about 10-15 minutes.
Add the chard and 1/4 cup water. Continue cooking over medium heat. Cook for at least 10 more minutesâŠor up to an hour. If the mixture starts to dry out, add a couple tablespoons of water. Season with salt and pepper.
To serve the Peppery Southern Grits with Sweet Heat Tomato Jam and Caramelized Chard: Make a big pile of grits. Top with the caramelized onion and chard. Then spoon on a good portion of the sweet heat tomato jam.
Enjoy the warm hug from my Southern heart đ
Serve immediately with Sweet Heat Tomato Jam and Caramelized Onions and Chard.
Peppery Southern Grits, Tomato Jam and Braised Greens â Healthy, Plant-Based, Oil-Free, Gluten-Free, Comfort Food, Vegan Recipe
Chef Katieâs Tips:
Grit Tips: The key lies in good grits â Anson Mills and Palmetto Farms produce some of the best grits. You can use white grits, yellow grits, blue corn grits, or even Italian-style polenta. Whatever you do, though, avoid the instant. Because Southern love gets better with time.
Seasonal Tomatoes: Use the seasonâs best selection of tomatoes â you can use all fresh at the peak of summer, and all canned during the dark days of winter. Either way, make sure to keep some bigger tomato chunks to ensure a jammy texture.
Fall Squash Varieties: Use any varieties of fall squash for this recipe. Red Kuri squash, pumpkin, and Sweet Dumpling are some of my favorite. You need about a 2 to 2 œ pound squash for this recipe.
Pile it high for an elegant presentation

A few simple ingredients are cooked low and slow for the Tomato Jam
Whisk the polenta as you add it to the boiling liquid â this helps prevent clumping
Cook the polenta until you can âdraw a lineâ in the bottom of the pan

Things That Caught My Eye
Justify a crown contender
Favorite âJustify,â who went into the Kentucky Derby with 3-to-1 odds of winning, defeated Good Magic by 2.5 lengths on Saturday. Justify, who is more accomplished at three years old than I am at age 27, never raced as a two-year-old, and is the first Derby competitor to win without racing at age two since 1882. [ESPN]
Family reunion goes well
Worth noting is that the Derby was very much a family affair this year, with 45 percent of the field competing against what people consider a half-brother. Thatâs the third-highest percentage in the 94 Derbys for which we have lineage data. Proud parents who we unable to watch from the stands because, you know, theyâre horses, include Scat Daddy, father of four competitors including the winner, Curlin who sired three racers and Medaglia dâOro who sired two. [FiveThirtyEight]
Albert Pujols hits his 3,000th
Friday evening Albert Pujols slammed his 3,000th hit, becoming the 32nd player (if you buy the stats behind Cap Anson in 1897) to join the 3,000 club. This is essentially a guaranteed ticket into the Hall of Fame as long as you are not Pete Rose. Whatâs more, Pujols did it with some of the lowest reliance on singles and some of the highest extra base hits plus walks in the club. [FiveThirtyEight]
Try out our interactive, Which World Cup Team Should You Root For?
Uprising suppressed
With a final score of 3-0 with a draw, the New York Excelsior defeated the Boston Uprising to win the playoffs of phase three of the Overwatch League, a professional gaming sports league. This is a repeat win for New York, who were the runners up in Phase One but won Phase Two. This ends a streak for Boston, a team that was undefeated in phase three. [Overwatch League]
True Freshman QBs all the rage
The average quarterback rating of true freshman quarterbacks in college football has been steadily rising over the past 10 years, increasing from low-40s in 2008 to low-50s today. This is because of a whole bunch of reasons; scouting starting earlier, early enrollment becoming more of an accepted trend, young quarterbacks developing faster thanks to early coaching, transfers enabling players to pick a place they can guarantee a start and the increasing adaptability of young QBs. [ESPN]
The Knicks arenât young
When will the New York Knicks be competitive again? Who knows. With star Kristaps Porzingis out for potentially 10 months with an ACL tear, much attention has been paid to the young core of the Knicks organization. Still, that youthful selling point doesnât really pan out when you notice the average age of a Knicks player was 27.1, nearly right on the money for the NBA league average 27.2. [ESPN]
Big Number(s)
17,192 pitches 98 mph or higher
The total number of pitches thrown in Major League Baseball that were 98 mph or higher in the 2017 season was 17,192, up from 11,451 just a year earlier and up from 4,618 in 2009. The number of speedy pitches has been steadily rising â as of Sunday there were 2,139 this season, on pace for well over 20,000 â and part of that is the different ways bullpens are managing pitchers. Recognizing that by the fourth time in a batting order, hitters get better at reacting to pitchers, GMs are putting in more pitchers and telling them to throw it as hard as they can. [ESPN]
Leaks from Slack:
neil:
Mets to designate Matt Harvey for assignment
colleen:
i guess bats were not his friend after all
neil:
Bats _loved_ his pitches though
colleen:
neil are we just making the same joke?
neil:
I think so, from 2 different directions
