Howdy! Hope you're doing alright, all things considered.
I was wondering, I've got a 4x4 Babylock Sofia 2 A-line - do you know if I'd be able to use the spring action hoops on it? I'm having a lot of trouble finding them to begin with (and not just standard machine hoops and spring-loaded hand sewing hoops), let alone what's compatible with my ol' gal 😮‍💨
I appreciate your help either way!
PS. Do you think a tutorial for the execution of larger files with smaller hoops may ever happen? I've tried to read up on it but it hasn't quite clicked enough to try it and I'd love to see how you would do it (not to be a kiss ass but your tutorials have made so much more sense and helped me more than 99% of other media consumed on the same subjects).
For repositionable hoops for the Sofia (and this also goes for people who own the Baby Lock Verve and Aurora, as well as most Brother 4x4 machines), I recommend the DIME Snap Hoop Monster. It's a magnetic hoop.
There's three kinds of Brother/Baby Lock hoop attachments, so make sure you're buying the right kind. There's the slide-in one that you see on most machines 6x10 or larger, there's the one where the pins are on the hoop, and the ones where the pins are on the embroidery arm. Nothing like getting your shiny new hoop home and finding that it doesn't fit your machine.
If you have software, the first thing that I'd do is check to see if it has design splitting built in.
Tumblr media
When I'm making something bigger than my biggest hoop, I make a custom hoop that's the size of my finished product, and I split it after.
Tumblr media
This automatically tries to find the best place to split, calculates how much overlap I need between hoopings, and places alignment stitches at the start and end of each block. Sometimes it makes decisions that it doesn't handle very well, like how it deletes stop commands if it has to split an applique. However, it's pretty okay for things like this, where it's able to split between motifs most of the time.
Tumblr media
I'm using the Mega Endless Hoop here, which has its own problems. Notably, it doesn't grip particularly tightly, which can lead to puckering and other problems. It requires fusible or sticky stabilizer applied to the entire piece before you hoop, and all I had was Power Mesh, which is intended for much lower stitch counts. I might get some small and powerful magnets and use them to increase clamping power on the hoop, but I haven't tried it yet.
Having a way of telling the machine where it's sewing in reality (viking calls it Design Positioning, Pfaff calls it Precise Positioning, Bernina calls it Perfect Placement, and I can't for the life of me remember what Brother and Baby Lock call it) really helps. It means that my alignment markers have to be in roughly the correct position, but that I have some wiggle room to adjust to get my needle to be right on my marker.
If your machine doesn't have the ability to tilt the design (mine doesn't) then you need to get the piece in the hoop as straight as possible. What I do for that is to get one marker lined up, and then sink the needle. With the needle down, you can pivot the fabric without losing your placement. This is also the only time that I find those clear plastic hoop alignment guides to be any use at all. If you've lost yours, like I have, you can stretch a rubber band across the hoop and make sure that it's even, and then line up with the rubber band. On a long project like this, I will also iron in a crease across the length of the design, to be a marker. You can also use a pen or chalk to mark that. My hoop has center marks molded into it, so if I can line my center line up with my center marks, then I know my piece is straight enough, and I just have to match the corner marks.
Tumblr media
I definitely recommend doing a test run, which will let you spot trouble areas and make some overall design adjustments. It'll also give you experience with how the multiple hoopings work. Especially if you're just using a 4x4 hoop, there's a learnign curve to doing this. Doing a test run means that you won't be in a situation where the first hoopings are bad and the last hoopings are really good. You'll be more even across the board.
This piece here has taught me a lot of things. When I have a chance, I'm going to go through all of it in my software and fix things. Most of that fixing is just adjusting the size of things or how close they are to each other, but there's some some changes to fills and lines and density as well. I need to change how the gold squares are built to try to cut down on the puckering. Because I was watching as this stitched out, I noticed that the piece was much flatter before the line was stitched out. I think that changing that line will reduce puckering. Being able to sit with the physical copy in my hand while I go through the project on the computer is very helpful.
I'll also probably be layering some stabilizer in this. If I do fusible cut-away instead of fusible mesh, the designs will be better supported, but the piece will hang differently. It's all about balancing the pieces with each other.
Tumblr media
The corner markers can be easily removed, or incorporated into the seam allowance and hidden.
If you have very detailed pieces to build, you can also do what a lot of Kimberbell pieces do, and just stitch out the whole piece with overlapping edges. You'll build a seam allowance that has part of the design, and then you can sew the finished pieces together and perfectly match the seams. This is probably a long easier, but does mean that you'll have seams all over your piece.
But I'd definitely start with either a piece that's pre-split by the maker, or one that's split by a machine and that adds the markers for you, before you try to yolo one on your own.
And, for what it's worth, if you have an applique that has to stretch over two hoopings, it's a really good idea to pre-cut that if at all possible. You can do it where you just hold the fabric off to the side on each side, or where you cut the fabric and splice it together, but pre-cut is the way to go. On the final one, I'm probably going to export the applique shapes on my Cricut, because having the fabric fused to the piece will make re-hooping a lot easier.

Best Embroidery Machines for Beginners
Tumblr media
Before buying associate Embroidery Machine Everyone has totally different crafting backgrounds and expectations, thus nobody machine are going to be best for all embroidery beginners. Thus, let’s initial mention the variations between embroidery machines and also the factors you would like to think about to create the simplest alternative for yourself. 1. Embroidery-Only vs. Combination Machine embroidery machine solely or combination machine? While embroidery-only machines cannot sew, a mix machine provides you the ability to each sew and embroider. I have a mix machine as a result of it saves area in my tiny craft space. Plus, the stitching options like automatic thread trimming, automatic tension, and also the monstrous range of stitches were appealing! However, if you have already got a stitching machine you like, don’t ever got to sew, or don’t need a machine that converts, associate embroidery-only machine may be your best bet. Decide which sort you wish, as this may be one among beginner embroidery machines’ most vital differentiating factors. 2. Personal Use vs. Home Business Next, sit down and contemplate your embroidery goals. Do you wish to try and do solely basic tasks like applique onesies for grandbabies? Or, area unit you progressing to begin a home business to usher in additional income? A machine for basic, personal use solely might not want as several bells and whistles as a machine for a business that may facilitate pay your mortgage. When progressing to begin a home business together with your machine, though, apprehend that there’s a large learning curve to perfecting your embroidery, thus don’t arrange to quit your day job now. 3. framing Size 4"x4" hoop compared to 5"x7" hoop What size styles does one wish to embroider? Every embroidery machine includes a most embroidery space and corresponding hoop size. this can be the scale of the most important style you'll sew at only once. While it’s attainable to separate larger styles with computer code then either use a repositional hoop or rehoop your material between sections, this takes time and experience. The unhappy issue regarding hoop size is costs increase exponentially because the hoop size will increase. The smallest hoop machines area unit area unit hoop machines. you really will do several things with a 4″x4″ hoop, however larger machines provide a lot of conveniences and a lot of potentialities for styles, just like the ability to sew larger in-the-hoop comes. 4. Budget How much is associate embroidery machine even these days? Some embroidery machines value over a car! to not mention you would like to save lots of lots of or perhaps thousands of greenbacks for embroidery provides, designs, and computer code. When considering the simplest embroidery machine for beginners, decide the most quantity of cash you wish to pay, and persist with it. Don’t feel persuaded to pay over you have got. there's nothing wrong with beginning tiny to create positive you prefer the hobby before you invest thousands within the biggest machine your search offers! 5. the value vs. Convenience magnitude relation When considering your budget, apprehend that each upgrade to your machine can value a lot of. Here area unit some convenient options that aren’t necessary however is also vital for you to budget in. A. Automatic Jump sew Trimming trim any jump stitches Jump stitches area unit the thread trails left once a machine skips from one style half to a different. Basic embroidery machines don’t trim jump stitches, instead solely mechanically cutting at the top of every thread color. However, a lot of deluxe machines mechanically trim jump stitches, thus you don’t need to. B. Magnetic Hoops Metal/Magnetic Hoop for Brother/Baby Lock Embroidery Machine 6'x10' (SA441) 4500D 4700D 4750D 6000D 6700D 1500 1500D 2500 2800D 3500D NQ1400E NQ1600E NQ3500D NQ3600D Innov-ís XP1 If you like the concept of associate embroidery machine for quilting, a machine with a magnetic framing possibility are often particularly useful once quilting a finished prime. C. Multi-Needle Machines Purchasing a single-needle machine means that you modify the thread color yourself when the machine stitches every section. Multi-needle embroidery machines, that begin around $5k, amendment threads mechanically for you. this can be a big-time saver however an enormous expense. 6. technical school Savviness If you don’t own a laptop and area unit uncomfortable around natural philosophy, machine embroidery could also be a making an attempt hobby for you. My 90-year-old grandma, for example, has seamed for 75+ years and may sew something on her mechanical household appliance. despite what proportion I facilitate her, though, the computerised side of machine embroidery makes learning this machine too difficult. Also, the costlier machines with such a big amount of options on the liquid crystal display touchscreen area unit far more troublesome to be told than easy, entry-level embroidery machines while not all the additional options. Also, does one decide to style your own embroidery styles, or can you buy them? splitting styles for 4x4 hoop Some machines keep company with basic embroidery package that auto-digitizes and includes masterful onscreen writing options whereas others have solely essential writing functions. One factor to grasp is full-fledged embroidery digitizing package is dear and troublesome to use for the not technically inclined. you would possibly realize it’s best for you to use your machine’s inherent styles and fonts and buy the remainder. 7. Product Support and facilitate for Beginners My expertise with native dealers in my metroplex is you pay a lot of for a machine from a brick-and-mortar store than you may on-line. However, after you purchase from a dealer, they assist you learn to use your embroidery machine. If you think that you’ll would like the additional categories and support, a dealer may well be a decent possibility if you’re okay paying a touch a lot of. 8. Used vs. New Embroidery Machine for Beginners If you’re a real beginner, i like to recommend not shopping for a second hand embroidery machine from a interloper. for example, avoid individual eBay, Amazon, and even Facebook marketplace sellers United Nations agency provide no warranties. One place wherever it’s okay (and generally a decent deal) to shop for a second hand beginner machine is a licensed stitching and embroidery machine dealer. These specialists knowledge to service machines and assess and fix problems before marketing. they're going to additionally possible provide a guaranty on used machines. Purchasing certified refurbished through Amazon, eBay, stitching Machines and, etc., also will offer you a guaranty, and I’ve typically had sensible luck here.
Best Embroidery Machines for Beginners
While there area unit more expensive and unbelievable embroidery machines, this list of best beginner embroidery machines focuses on single-needle machines for fewer than $2,000. What if you would like to shop for a multi-needle embroidery machine or perhaps the most recent Brother Luminaire XP2? in this case, i like to recommend you visit your nearest household appliance distributor to undertake it out initial. My native stitching retailers don't stock newer, affordable machines, that is why I bought each one of my embroidery machines on-line before I had to shop for my Luminaire XP2, that value Maine alittle fortune, in-store.
Brother PE800 Embroidery Machine
Brother PE535 Embroidery Machine
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As a Brother stitching and embroidery machine lover, i believe Brother (and Baby Lock) create the easiest-to-use embroidery machines. The interface is a lot of intuitive than Janome or Bernina, and Brother is usually less costly conjointly. If you recognize you’ll love embroidery and need a giant enough hoop size for several tasks, the Brother PE800 embroidery solely machine may be a excellent place to begin with its 5″x7″ most embroidery space. Now, simply keep in mind, it doesn’t have any stitching talents. However, there square measure 138 intrinsic styles, eleven intrinsic fonts, 10 frames, and fourteen borders. That being aforesaid, I guarantee you’ll need to gather your own fonts and embroidery styles on-line. (Check out wherever to search out free embroidery fonts and free machine embroidery designs!) Like most entry-level Brother embroidery machines, you'll import any styles you produce or transfer to the machine employing a USB drive. Some drag-and-drop writing is on the market on the digital display color touchscreen, and you'll conjointly preview styles there before sewing. For a bigger a bigger machine, verify the Brother NQ1600E, that offers automatic jump thread trimming in addition. Most days, the Brother PE535 is that the smallest, most cheap embroidery machine you'll be able to purchase. It’s a good place to begin if you merely need to tinker with embroidery and don’t need to pay your life savings. If the embroidery love bug bites you, these machines sell well, therefore you'll be able to simply upgrade to a much bigger hoop machine. Like the Brother PE800, the Brother PE535 is Associate in Nursing embroidery-only machine, that means you wish an extra textile machine if you wish to try to to quite embroidery. Featuring a 4″x4″ embroidery field and eighty integral styles, the Brother PE535 conjointly has nine integral fonts. Of course, you'll be able to import .pes styles with a jump drive. What’s nice concerning Brother embroidery machines is threading is extremely straightforward. There ar directions written on the machine itself for each spool threading and higher threading. And, the guide includes plenty of useful data and quick-start guides.
Janome Memory Craft 400E Embroidery Machine
Brother SE1900 Combination Sewing and Embroidery Machine
Tumblr media
My native library features a Janome Memory Craft embroidery machine, and it’s withstood the check of many patrons victimisation it. While I’m a much bigger fan of Brother thanks to their interfaces’ simple use, some embroiderers contend that Janome machines last longer. That being aforesaid, the Janome Memory Craft 400E embroidery-only machine is one among the most effective Janome embroidery machines for beginners, because of its massive seven.9″ x 7.9″ hoop size. In addition to the intrinsic styles, monogramming fonts, and skill to import .jef styles via USB, the Janome MC400Ealso embroiders quicker than the Brother PE800 or PE535 and offers automatic jump thread trimming. The Brother SE1900 combination machine, that I’ve with happiness had for many years currently, has the precise embroidery specifications because the Brother PE800. What differs between the 2, however, is that the Brother SE1900 is additionally a stitching machine. As such, it offers 240 integral stitches (some square measure terribly kind of like others), ten buttonhole stitches, and seven presser feet. It conjointly has the nice easy options of Brother stitching machines (easy winder winding and quick-set, top-drop bobbin). Plus, it includes a sophisticated needle hand tool (easier to use than the one on my sewing-only machine), automatic tension settings, automatic thread trimming, and also the choice for automatic reinforcement or reverse stitches. It conjointly encompasses a knee lifter, that is obvious fun to own. Even though I’ve conjointly upgraded to a high-end embroidery machine once a few years of embroidering, I still have my SE1900 as my backup machine and ne'er commit to get eliminate it! It’s particularly nice to use whereas my Luminaire XP2 is functioning on long embroidery comes. And, I opt to “test my luck” on bound comes exploitation this machine instead of my higher-priced one! If you wish a bigger hoop combination machine, examine the Brother NQ3600D, that encompasses a encompasses a associate degreed an array of {stitching} stitches and options like automatic jump stitch trimming.
 Brother SE600 Combination Machine
Janome Memory Craft 9850 Sewing and Embroidery Machine
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Brother SE600 machine is that the combination stitching and embroidery version of the Brother PE535. As such, it additionally options a 4″x4″ hoop and includes identical eighty styles and half dozen fonts. While it’s just about as rakish because the Brother SE1900 once stitching, it will have 103 stitches, ten buttonhole choices, and seven presser feet. it's automatic thread cutting and a sophisticated needle hand tool likewise. As a draw back, though, the most stitching speed is just 710 stitches per minute, that is a smaller amount than the Brother SE1900’s 850 spm. One of the simplest Janome combination machines is that the Memory Craft 9850. In terms of embroidery, the machine includes a six.7″x7.9″ tambour, one hundred seventy five inbuilt styles, and a couple of English fonts. the most embroidery speed is 800 spm, and style transfer happens via USB. One helpful facet of embroidery is that the tambour attaches at the rear of the machine, thus there’s no carriage within the manner once maneuvering to trim threads throughout embroidery. The sewing speed is a formidable one,000 spm, and there’s a most sew dimension of zero.9mm, that is healthier than the Brother SE1900. The machine additionally options two hundred inbuilt stitches and nine presser feet. For serious sewists, quilters, and embroiderers, this machine ought to be an enormous consideration! Beginner Embroidery Machine Suggestions – Final Notes The rule of the land appears to be to shop for as massive of a hoop and as nice of a machine as you'll afford. Please, solely try this if you recognize you'll decide to learning a way to use associate embroidery machine and truly arrange to use it! (Not to say, the enthusiast the machine, the tougher it's for a beginner to know and use all the functions!) If you simply have the allow a reasonable a reasonable machine, there's no shame in that! I started with the Brother SE625 embroidery machine, that contains a contains a, and that i was excited with it for years before upgrading to the SE1900 for many years and ultimately the Luminaire XP2. I would amendment nothing concerning the method I took to induce to the biggest hoop machine I might realize. I created my mistakes, learned my craft, and set I adored embroidery 1st on entry-level machines. All while not cleanup out my savings! Whatever you are doing, though, the selection of the simplest beginner embroidery is up to you, thus confirm you are taking into consideration everything you wish and wish in an exceedingly machine. Happy stitching! Read the full article

Cookie is all set! Made for LaLunaLaLeo on IG.
This big sweetheart is made of minky fabric, with custom dyed minky and plastic jointed armature. Cookie is 23 inches from the tips of the front legs to the back, 32 inches including the tail (farthest point) and tip of the nose. All detailing is machine embroidered and appliqued. The neck is poseable! :)
Cookie was such a joy to work on! I thought I was in over my head when I accepted them, but holy moly, they were so fun! The embroidery and applique took me the longest to create, about 3 days, not including making the files. :) The gradients and trying to align them to the hoop were pretty finicky, but it was all a learning experience, and i think I finally have a hang of floating embroidery designs! It’s helped me save fabric since I had a limited amount of Baby Blue minky, I couldn’t wait on a shipment so I worked with what I had left. *o * I had just enough to make Cookie!
I’m so happy to have a chance to work on such a gorgeous and unique design, Cookie is definitely on the top of my list of favorite commissions! ^u ^

How to Get Stitching Work at Home to Earn Money
In the present times, many people are looking for stitching work that they can do from their home, and make money sewing.
Some of these sewing lovers include women and men who sew as a hobby, and some of them have their stitching business set up with professional tailors and cutters.
The good point is that stitching is a primary need, so it’s demand will always be there. But the bad news is (worsened by Covid 19), everyone is buying readymade clothes online; and there are not many takers for custom tailoring work.
I am inspired to write this piece of article here, because I had shared a brief article about earning money with sewing sometimes back.  The readers’ comments and requests encouraged me to answer them in detail, so that not only each one of them, but many more people could benefit and create stitching order for themselves.
Question 1 – Looking for home based stitching work, related to textiles and home decor like bed cover and window screens.
My Answer – Things have changed at home as well as in the business post Covid 19. How people used to buy and sell has changed drastically, though it is expected that things would be normal when Corona vaccine is commonly available.
Though, the classic business model of approaching home décor showrooms and shops to sell your stitched work can be tried, but there are some other avenues that you can try as well.
You can make a few home décor items such as bed cover, window screen etc. and take their picture.
You can create an Amazon Seller account and start selling your products.
In this business model, you will need to invest initial money to stitch things but when the order increases, you can expand your sewing business.
Question 2 – I have done all types of designer wear, and I want any work in bulk quantity.
Answer – There are some designers on facebook and Instagram, that you can contact with pictures of your designs.
Chances are you’ll get stitching order in bulk quantity to make for them. Besides, some garment selling companies / brands, which you see online; can be contacted through e-mail or their social pages like facebook, Instagram etc. and you may get orders.
When you contact big brands and garment companies, you should be ready with your design’s portfolio, samples, previous orders fulfilled (if any), your GST no. (business details), references, credit limit etc.
If you are selected for bulk stitching order work, you may be required to submit your samples and each company / boutique / export house may have its own set of rules.
One more thing which may interest you, that most of the bulk stitching order garment companies take a one- or two-months credit period. This period may be more in some conditions.
Be clear, are you willing to wait for that credit period to get the money you invested?
Secondly, there may be rejections due to quality of work or delay in delivery, and the production cost may be entirely on you.
Question 3 - I can stitches all types of dress Kurtis and all types of churidar and I have tailor also who is looking for work.
Answer – You can set up your boutique shop from home or online clothing business, and start selling kurtis and all types of churidar.
The added advantage of tailor would benefit you to set up a seller business with Amazon and showcase some of your designs, and sell stitched dresses while working from home.
If you are not getting stitching order, what to do?
It is easy to get upset and frustrated when you have the skills to stitch clothes, sewing machines and all the business set up, but you do not get stitching order to help you earn money.
What will you do? Will you lose hope?
Always remember, that stitching does not require “stitch” but “unstitching” also. When you learned sewing for the first time, you would have opened the seams many times because they were not looking right.
Today is the day to remember that lesson of stitching and opening the seams.
Whether you choose to contact your friends, relatives and neighbors through your Whatsapp group, or create a Facebook business page to sell your stitching services; or you choose to sell home décor items on Amazon site, here I got some stitching business ideas, which may be help to you.
 Create Stitching Work from Home
There are some stitching ideas, you can make a few samples, take pictures and post on amazon, whatsapp groups, facebook and Instagram pages.
If your pictures are eye catching and your products are in demand, you can easily create stitching  order yourself this way.
1. Offer Alterations Services on Whatsapp, Google Business or Facebook Page
If you are a beginner but want to get stitching order, then alteration work is a good option. It is easy to start from your phone or any social media free pages.
You can advertise online using Facebook, Google, or make use of your neighborhood newspaper guy to distribute pamphlets to attract customers.
I have a widow near my house, who works with local shops like fashion boutiques and dry cleaners, who offer her tailoring or mending services.
You can try this method and they may be willing to send you stitching order, especially if you offer them some kind of commission or discounts.
2. Offer Sewing Lessons Online or Offline
If you have a stitching set up, you can teach other or make YouTube stitching videos to earn money.
You can visit students at their home to teach them at your place. You can also offer sewing work space for some charges.
3. Customization
This is the best home sewing business for you if you love embroidery or experiment with normal or store-bought items.
Embroidery may require some special sewing machines, but that is one time investment.
You can add uniforms and business logos, or add appliques to kids' clothes. Just be sure to be clear with customers about what kinds of customization you offer, otherwise you will get disappointed customers, who were hoping for some fancy embroidery that is new as well as alterations.
4. Stitch Cushion Cover, Pillow Case and Home Decor
This type of stitching work consists of stitching up cushion cover, curtains and custom home décor items, in addition to quilt covers, pillows and pillowcases, and at times even a fabric collage artwork.
For that you’ll need to set up your sewing room accordingly because fabrics are long and wide, so you will require a sewing workspace.
A sewing machine that is durable is a must, since decorating fabrics have a tendency to be more durable than garments.
5. Pet Accessories
If you are a pet loving person, you would understand that pet parents consider their pets as family members or their babies.
Here, you can get stitching order for hammocks, harnesses, toys, beds, leashes, and other accessories that can be stitching at home.
You can partner with pet clinics and local pet supply stores. that can help you get stitching order for pet clothes and accessories.
6. Make Potli Bags and Handbags
Potli bags, handbags and cute fancy sling bags are a huge attraction for people.
You can sew one size or different sizes depending upon the variety you want to add in designs and product offering.
If you are making kurti, churidar, blouse etc. you can offer to make customized designer handbag which is matching with the outfit.
7. Create Kids's Clothing
There's a significant market for kids' clothing, that is fun and practical. You can make cotton dresses, caps with pockets or many design choices. But you need to specialize in a form of clothing for children and understand their requirements as per age.
Apart from these, there are many stitching related work from home ideas that you can explore and implement as per your circumstances and resources, by checking out some useful stitching resources on Stitching Mall.

Hey everyone! I’ve decided to try my hand at opening up public commissions for the first time. I’m getting less and less hours at my day job and it doesn’t look like I’m going to be there much longer, and my spouse is in school so money is extremely tight at the moment. Please note that this is my first time opening serious commissions of any kind, and I do not have the means to machine embroider anything at this time, so I wanted to offer a slightly lower beginning rate, but prices are subject to change over time and will differ based on the complexity of the commission.
PLEASE READ IN ENTIRETY BEFORE MESSAGING ME!
CAN DO: Monsters Fan art inspired characters (Pokemon, Studio Ghibli, Cartoon Network, etc) OCs* (humanoid/anthro) OCs* (creatures/pets) Regular animals Fantasy animals Chibi/simplified beanie animals
WILL NOT DO: My Little Pony characters Cuphead characters Bendy and the Ink Machine characters NSFW animal characters Incredibly complex characters Large embroidered details/features
*All OCs will be handled in my own personal style. I will need thorough reference photos (front, back, sides) OR specific permission to take some creative liberties! My own idea sketches and WIP photos will be sent along the way to confirm the appearance and approve it with the commissioner!
Prices: ALL PRICES MAY VARY DEPENDING ON LEVEL OF DETAIL. THESE ARE ESTIMATES BASED ON THE EXAMPLES PICTURED. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IN ADVANCE FOR QUOTES ON SPECIFIC PROJECTS.
Small (5”-9”) $20-$50+
ex. chibi Kodama and baby Santa Nessie
Medium (10”-12”) $30-$70+
ex. Animal Crossing avatar (doll character), pastel Porg, and Yeti
Large (13”-18”) $50-$200+
ex. Ditto and Mothman
Extra Large (18”+) $250-$600+
ex. life-size Jigglypuff
Please note that these prices do NOT include shipping! I am located in the U.S. and would be happy to calculate shipping prices for you before beginning the project!
I will require HALF the final cost of the plush as a down payment in order to confirm your order and cover the cost of supplies. This down payment will be non-refundable unless I have not yet started purchasing supplies or designing the pattern. Once the plush is finished, a custom Etsy listing will be created with the remaining balance+shipping costs so you can easily and safely complete your purchase!
All plush will be created in minky or faux fur unless otherwise specified by the commissioner. Fleece can be requested as a fabric option and may possibly offer a slight discount depending on the plush, however the final result will be stiffer and not as “cuddly” as minky or faux fur would allow and may negatively affect the quality of the plush.
All plush will have hand-embroidered or hand-appliqued facial features, and in some cases plastic safety eyes will be used. I do not have the means for machine embroidery at this time, but would very much like to have the funds to save for this future investment!
As a side note, there are certain plushies that I have never made before but I am very interested in patterning/learning to make. As these plushies would be somewhat of a “tester” project and may come out a tiny bit less than perfect, I would be willing to offer them at a slightly discounted rate: Haunter (Pokemon) Rowlet (Pokemon) Shiverian (Super Mario Odyssey) Dragons Unicorns
Certain existing patterns can be purchased at a set base price; for example, if something is listed in my Etsy shop but you’d like one made especially for you, this could be done at the existing price of the plush with shipping being the only additional charge; HOWEVER any changes or edits would be subject to additional fees.
If you have any questions about anything at all, please feel free to message me on any of my social media platforms, or email me directly at [email protected] !
