Kroos, Lava and Hibiscus is a dynamic that I don't feel the compulsion to explain because I feel like it's obvious what I like about it but also I still like thinking about it. They've obvs been through a lot together and they basically watched each other grow when they first arrived in Rhodes Island but because of an accidental tragedy I imagine they've become fractured and became somewhat distant with each other in a way. Like an invisible wall had suddenly been erected between them, they can still see each other but it's stopping them from truly feeling each other again.

They know each other's secrets but now they have no idea what they're thinking anymore. They know what each other's favourite food is but they can't confidently say they know what they're going through because nobody wants to burden each other with their own problems. There is a solemn understanding between each other but that same solemness is stopping them from opening up with each other like they used to because of guilt, grief and self loathing. They're so close with each other and love each other so dearly but that also contributes to why they can't let each other in on everything anymore.

Really love how Intimidating they drew Matterhorn in the manga. No suprise he scares the kids!

It's easy to overlook but we really see how impressive Kroos' reflexes and more over, her preparedness is here.

Her crossbow is not visible on the preceeding page, meaning that it's either in her bag or (paranoia-style) carried under her coat, against her back. In either case it won't be drawn and loaded even if she carried it stringed.

But she produces it, loads and draws it (and remember that Terran crossbows carry much higher torsion than earth crossbows) in what is probably less than a second.

That is most impressive and really shows of the preparedness that she will later take to extreme lengths as the Keen Glint.
