Hello, I'm not sure if you're aware, but tumblr is going to start helping midjourney gather data for their AI. You're one of the artists I follow here pretty actively and I wanted to warn you to maybe start nighshading your art before posting it here so it doesn't get swept up!
I've seen a couple of posts about it. Feeling disappointed but not that surprised. Also not excited about having to start nightshading/glazing my pieces but if there isn't going to be any serious regulations regarding data scraping and ai "art", there aren't a lot of choices.
Thank you for taking the time to warn me just in case, it was very thoughtful of you!
#from what I've seen the effectiveness of nightshade/glaze has been debated and I don't even pretend to understand how it works#but like watermarks it's at least some kind of preventive measure a token effort to stop your art from being stolen and misused#but I fear that if someone is determined to do it anyway chances are they will find a way unfortunately#this shouldn't be the reality of trying to share art online#it's a pretty dismal situation when this responsibility falls on the artists themselves#I've been here since 2011 I've lived through multiple tumblr apocalypses I'm not leaving unless they make this place wholly unlivable#and I don't think there are truly good alternatives with similar sense of community and as varied posting and customization options#it seems like every other major social media platform is doing this exact same thing if not worse#answered#ohdeergood#I'm tired we're all tired of this

Things I love about the ST fandom
Of course there are plenty of things I donāt love seeing from Sleep Token fans⦠but those things get complained about all the time. Of course itās fair to complain about these things but positives are good too. Every fandom has That Side that nobody likes. What about all the amazing things that we see all the time?
Hereās a list of things I love about this fandom :D
1. When we put a āVā in place of the first letter of something related to Vessel.
Vose. Veet. Veeth. Please never stop doing this because I love seeing this, itās so funny for some reason.
2. We all call IV āIVyā
Itās fun and I love that nickname. And it rolls off the tongue so much better than āFour šā.
3. Our collective obsession over that damn flamingo
I love how none of us have shut up about that flamingo since with was first shown with the smhtdf website. Thereās even some theories that itās actually important in some way/connected to the lore which is pretty fun :D
4. The Fanart
ā¦Oh my god the fanart.
There are so many amazing artists across so many different platforms making some beautiful artworks! Iāve seen digital art, paintings, cosplays, animations, even stickers and plushies. This fandom is so creative and I love it.
5. Vessel from the older stuff (One and Two EPs) is Baby Vessel
I donāt think I can explain this one but I donāt think I need to. Baby Vessel.
6. The amount of love and support I see for the band
Fanart, signs at rituals, Projekt Atlantic/Euclid, and just the way that fans show their admiration for the band. I love how weāre all making sure that the band knows theyāre loved. :)
Honestly I could list so many more things. Maybe I will later but thatās all Iām gonna put here for now. But also feel free to add some things! :D

After completing each stage, I will contact you for either payment or revisions and thoughts.Ā
$ PRICING & PAYMENT
Prices vary depending on the commission. Iām flexible, but here are some base prices:
$5-10 USD depending on the background
$10-15 USD per person added
Note: There can be additional charges due to PayPal fees.
Half the payment is expected to be paid upfront Post-Draft or Post-Line Art. The rest of the payment will be paid fully after the Flat Colours are seen and approved. If payment hasn't been received, the Artist will not continue until then.
The option to fully pay upfront is allowed but must be talked about before sending over the money.
No refunds are allowed after the draft has been sent.
You can pay through PAYPAL, KOFI or VGEN
āŗ REVISION POLICIES
Once the coloring stage begins, the only major revisions permitted are details that the artist may have missed and was specified by the client while the commission was still in the sketching/lineart stage (e.g. a missing tattoo thatās essential to the characterās design).
If the client is unsatisfied with the commission Post-Line Art, the artist is willing to discuss and make minor edits as stated prior (e.g. adjusting colors). However, the artist will not redraw the piece and expects full payment, as the client should have specified in the sketch stage the changes they wanted to be made.
The client may not hire another artist to adjust the image without the artistās consent.
The artist is willing to edit the image post commission for the commissioner, but may charge a small fee depending on what is being asked of them
š RUSHED COMMISSIONS
Rush Fees apply. Contact me first to discuss how much youāre willing to pay for the rush fee.
The fastest turnaround time is 1-2 days (maximum 4 days) with the same quality as my usual work.
For short deadlines, you must be responsive when it comes to communication. It'd save us both the headache and worry.
āø DISCLAIMER!
Breaking or disrespecting the rules of the Terms of Service will lead to a permanent ban and you will be blacklisted. It means, users who break the Terms of Service will lose the rights to commission me.
However, I may allow second chances. Blacklisted users can contact me with proof of improved behavior to request removal.
---
ā¦and thatās about it? Just donāt expect me to be obligated to draw something and weāll figure something out. Not to mention that depending on how much commissions iām getting and how busy i am, the art will take atleast a few days to a week!
If you got references, provide them! Itāll help alot. You can also ask for progress updates, just donāt mind me accidentally not seeing the message bc this is tumblr and I donāt get notifs for some reason.
Thatās about it, thanks for seeing this yall. Again, If you want to see more examples, simply look at my art tags in my account or send a DM and i'll send some over there.

I just want to put in my two cents on the whole band identity thing since stuff is going around atm: As far as I am aware, please feel free to correct me if I am wrong, Vessel and the rest of the band have never explicitly stated that the masks are supposed to hide their identities for safety purposes.
Vessel said in that Metal Hammer interview that music is pushed based on who or who isnāt in a band, and that their identities are unimportant. To me, this says that their masks are a form of commentary against the popularity contest/politics within the modern music industry.
Not doxxing/harassing/doing other harmful behaviors to the band members should be the bare minimum and common sense, but of course, people have shown us and the band otherwise and I understand that has made some within the fandom become even more protective/vigilant with information related to the identities in the band.
That being said, I personally donāt see any issue with knowing who they are if you want to know and it shouldnāt be looked down on within the fandom. I think there can be a respectful divide between those who know and those who donāt want to. I found out by accident, but knowing what I know has given me a much deeper appreciation for Sleep Token in all of its iterations in a way I donāt think I would have gotten to otherwise.
I think some fans feel as though theyāre betraying the band by knowing their identities and I disagree with that level of stigma. I canāt imagine any of the guys being offended about their fans looking into past projects/bands theyāve been involved in, and having huge support from all of us if one or more members decided to do a solo feature for another band would be incredible!
In my opinion, I think we need to reframe how their identities are handled within the fandom at large: theyāre not in witness protection, they just prefer for their audience to put the majority of their focus on the music instead of the people playing it. Itās obvious that Vessel takes great pride in his craft and, based on the MH interview, it seems like his main goal here is to have his music speak for itself instead of becoming another soulless corporate shill. Just something for all of us to consider and Iād love to know your thoughts as well.
Worship.
So sorry it took a few days to respond to this ask. I wanna be a little less subjective to give you a platform, Anon, but you are correct in the fact that Vessel and the band never said their anonymity was explicitly for safety (although thereās a valid argument that that is a given assumption, as you also stated).
If needed for context, the quote from the Amped Up Kerrang Article (idk if you meant this article, Anon, or if Ves said something in one of the Metal Hammer ones and I forgot; lmk in another ask or dm and iāll add to this post):
āArt has become entangled with identity,ā Him says of the bandās anonymity. āThe aim is to provide something people can engage with without being obstructed by the identity of its creator. The true identities behind Sleep Token are irrelevant. Our identity is represented through the art and music itself.ā
I do believe their anonymity is both a device for creating more powerful music as well as a clever way to market the band. Humans are naturally curious and we are drawn to mysteries. Its interesting to see how it has morphed into this beast of those who know and those who do not (and those who do know, pretend they do not, and then ostracize those who do know while also creeping in online spaces they should definitely not know about if not knowing identities mattered that much to them). The bandās anonymity has created a fanbase full of toxic interactions that Iām certain they never intended to cause.
I donāt fault any fan for their views, or if they choose to seek out identities or not. I only have a problem with it when views are forced onto others maliciously.
#anon asks#sleepanon answers#sleep token#i feel like i could add more to this#but that's also a good place to leave this post atm#i do want to reiterate this blog is a safe space#for both sides of this fandom#so long as you're not an asshole š¤

Building an Art Tokenization Platform: A Guide to Digitalizing Art Ownership
It is an art tokenization platform that serves as a blockchain-based platform where artists, collectors, and investors can tokenize, buy, sell, or trade valuable works of art as digital assets. Thus, buying fractional shares of high-value art pieces becomes a much simpler exercise for investors. Thus, these platforms are safe and transparent marketplaces, where art gets tokened as digitally divided parts. Automated transactions, provenance tracing, and royalty distribution rely on the fully smart contract-enabled platforms to empower artists and democratize the art investment landscape.
Art Tokenization
Art tokenization refers to the digitization of artwork ownership on the blockchain using digital tokens. Fractional or full ownership of artworks can be indicated through these tokens, which allow investors to buy, sell, or trade their tokens seamlessly with each other. Art tokenization services stand to make fine art investment more democratized and efficient since it provides security and also offers transparency and accessibility using the technology of the blockchain.
How to Invest into Art Tokenization Platform
There is a growing paradigm among individuals who are recognizing that tokenization will, in effect, meet their art investment needs. Buying physical works of art generally involves hefty capital and a great deal of time spent in acquiring knowledge with respect to the art market. This article discusses how to become part of this whole new game in art investment.
Investing in art tokenization will be a continuum of supportive steps and strategies that all individuals and institutions into whose interests this may fall will be able to take and tap into the whole digital art economy. Here's a more detailed approach:
Understanding Art Tokenization - One must first familiarize oneself with the idea of tokenized art, its market potential, and all risks involved before purchasing into this form of investing.
Choosing a Reputable Tokenization Platform - An investor must choose a platform that fulfills all regulatory requirements, matches a certain level of security standards, and also offers a transparent marketplace in which art tokens are traded.
Registering as well as flipping KYC Verification ā Every other platform mandates that the users open up an account already attached to identity verifications in order to prevent frauds and comply with the financial regulations.Ā
Exploration and Examination of Tokenized Art ā An Investor should research as far as the preliminary due diligence is concerned- paintings, their value petite-mort, and whose body is in charge of the overall value trends.
Buying Art Tokens- Investors can buy tokens in a piece of tokenized art via cryptocurrency and fiat after the selection. Some allow auction purchases, while others directly sell.
Art Token Management and Trading- These tokens held can either be kept for future value appreciation, traded on secondary markets or a collateral for loans in DeFi platforms.Ā
Monitor Market Trends: Similar to other investments, it is necessary to follow the performance of art tokens for an investor and keep up to date with market trends, developments in regulations, and happenings on different platforms.
The functional approach of the Development of Art Tokenization Platform to Investors
This offers considerable benefits to them-all those who are in favor of developing art tokenization: Fractional Ownership - Investors can now own a portion of high-value artwork, making it easier for them to enter the wonderful world of art.
More Liquidity- Traditional illiquid art investments are now alleviated into seamless processes of buying and selling.
Transparency and security - With blockchain: Authenticity, traceability, fraud prevention.
Global Access-Investor from anywhere in the world can join the art market.
Passive income opportunities - Some platforms permit revenue-sharing models that provide returns from an exhibition or a rental.
A Bright Future for Art in Blockchain
This is how blockchain transforms the art world, most importantly demystifying access to it and using it to make transactions safer and decentralized. The intermediary becomes a thing of the past with smart contracts ensuring that digital transactions are legitimate, along with royalties ensured for the artist. With more NFTs coming into existence, metaverse galleries create an interface for an expanded audience of digital artworks. With evolving regulations, time will come when the art tokenization concept becomes a normally accepted method of investment mainstreaming the fine art industry.
Are You Interested in Investing in Art?
If you would like to invest in art but traditional methods seem more difficult for you, art tokenization will prove itself to be an innovative alternative. Tokenized art comprises diversified portfolios, exposure to high-value artworks, and the advantages of blockchain's security and transparency. With the proliferation of platforms, now is an ideal time to experiment with and invest in art tokens.
Conclusion
Art tokenization has changed the way people invest in and own art. By creating an art tokenization platform, companies can offer their investors an innovative and effective way to access the art market. With the advancement of the blockchain technology into other realms, the investment of the future in arts appears to be promising as it opens up global participation as well as financial growth.

This article about Dead Boy Detectives and Netflix's stewardship of LGBTQ+ shows is my Roman Empire
I'm linking the article below, and it's one of the best analysis' out there about both the significance of Dead Boy Detectives' being cancelled, but also the bigger picture of why this is so significant to both fans and the LGBTQ+ community at large. Please read (and share!) the article, Why we need more queer art, not less-the case of Dead Boy Detectives, written by Karla Elliott.
A damning excerpt, and article linked below:
"Netflix has long tried to market itself to audiences just like this as an alternative to more traditional media companies. Yet its cancellation of Dead Boy Detectives is another in a long line of queer shows and shows with queer storylines ā such asĀ Sense8, Julie and the Phantoms, and Shadow and Bone ā to be axed by the company before their time.
The showrunner of Warrior Nun, another of Netflixās prematurely cancelled shows, even revealed that Netflix pushed back against the writers developing a queer romance for the showās second season.
Meanwhile, the streaming service continues to platform performers such as Dave Chappelle, who used his latest Netflix special (his seventh on the streaming service) to double down on jokes made about the queer community, particularly targeting transgender folk.
It seems, then, that companies such as Netflix are still largely only interested in token queer representation, and only if and when it aligns with ever-shifting profit goalposts."
She goes on to talk about the crew and fans rallying around Dead Boy Detectives and taking a grassroots approach to save this show. She links IG and Twitter posts (it'll always be Twitter, to me), and she includes The Petition in her article.
She also accurately addresses the NG elephant in the room, pointing to his limited involvement in the show and how Dead Boy Detective fans have "resolutely condemned his alleged actions and stood with the women speaking out against him. Their outrage perfectly aligns with the core lessons of the show, which counters harmful gendered stereotypes and advocates for men to take responsibility for their actions, hold one another accountable, process anger, and open up to feelings like love and empathy."
She concludes, and I must admit, this brought a tear to my jaded 'lil heart, that "[t]hrough its community-building, energy, and activism, the fanbase is proving to be the living embodiment of the lessons Dead Boy Detectives has to teach us about solidarity, love and care."
So, go us. Keep at it. Don't loose hope. And please check out this article. I gave you a sneak peak, but it's chalk full of really good information and I promise you'll be glad you read it.

Welp. Been a minute. Overdue for an update.
So.

The Depressing Bit
Going to go ahead and rip off the band-aids quick.
First off, I passed my one-year laidoffiversary a couple weeks back. Still no new job despite applying every day of the week for the past year. A lot of dead-end interviews. Three times as many scams and I donāt dare guess how many entirely false job openings posted by companies who were never hiring in the first place, but wanted the positions out in the open to scare their actual employees with the threat of being easily replaced and to look good to investors with the illusion of growth. So thereās that.
Then, while doing my taxes, I came to a fun little revelation.
You know my novella The Vampyres, ala eBook and paperback? Had its birthday last year, March 15th. As I plugged in my earnings from that book from Draft 2 Digitalās doc, I discovered I'd made a grand total of $278 from it over the course of 2024. Cool.
I paid $275 to purchase the ISBNs (International Standard Book Numbers) for the eBook and paperback respectively, and a barcode. Which would mean that I made approximately $3 in profit from The Vampyres after a year.
Except I also spent $25 on a āchange tokenā with Draft 2 Digital because I had to make an alteration to the book's interior.
Meaning I spent $300 total on self-publishing this book. And have so far made back $275 of it.
ā¦
Still glad I did it. Still glad a few folks might someday come across it and enjoy the read. But itāsā¦yeah. Kind of a glum revelation with March 2025 coming up.
Still job hunting. Still writing. Still hoping and going.
Anyway.
New Stuff
Ko-Fi
Added a couple new options in with the doodles and fancier art bits if you want to take a gander.
Substack (For Now)
While Iāve been posting my chapter updates on my Substack for a bit, and my stuff is still going up there for the foreseeable future, Iām going to start shopping around for an alternative platform. Not a big fan of how Substack is apparently buddying up to Elongated Muskrat and his specific idea of āfreedom of speech.ā The main things Iām looking for is a lack of price tag and easy usability. Iāll let everyone know if/when I make the switch to something better.
StoryGraph
The Vampyres is on StoryGraph (and so am I). Iād appreciate you leaving any reviews on there rather than Goodreads, the latter being one of Amazonās Bezos Babies. Really, nice reviews anyplace where books are picked up will help, but do consider a hop to StoryGraph in particular.
Merchandise
One of my New Yearās Resolutions is finally setting up shop with a little merch. I want to make stationery and possibly some novelty mugs* as things to start with. Iām browsing around for a good manufacturer and shipping combo option while trying to 100% avoid Shopify or affiliated sites. Not real keen on them being fine with selling Nazi and MAGA merch. (Frankly not keen on how dodging Nazi infiltration has become a rote part of trying to ~Sell Myself~, but here we are.)
Iāll post prospective product pics once I have something solid. Cross your fingers for me.
*The mugs are mostly for me as I have a devastating addiction to charming drinkware. But I guess you guys can have some too.
???
I donāt really have anything salient to put here. Iām mostly just grateful to all my friends out there in the Internet abyss for sticking around and making all this feel a little less lonely. Thank you.
#addendum: new Harker and Nosferatu: Death and the Maiden updates tomorrow#yaaaay#-dissolves into my chair-#-my hands are left solid enough to continue doing the Sisyphean tippity typing-

able-bodied artists (or artists who don't have the relevant disabilities even if they are physically disabled in some way) really need to start checking themselves because i have seen more than enough ableist garbage on my TL recently. i don't get any traction on twitter though so i'm posting this here instead.
1. i'm not giving my thoughts on "AI art" because i do not have the patience and energy but bringing up physically disabled artists with limb differences, motor impairments, etc. (the ones that able-bodied people put on a pedestal because inspiration porn, anyway) as a gotcha is just as bad as the "AI art" bros you're arguing with who aren't disabled themselves (or disabled in these ways) but also tokenize these forms of disability. we're not ammunition in online discourse, i bet 10-1 that you people never uplift and empower and give a platform to disabled artists w/ limb differences/motor impairments/etc. in your online art spaces otherwise, and any logic that amounts to "this disabled person can do [x] so you're just not trying hard enough/what's your excuse?" is always always ALWAYS ableist no matter how you try to spin it, sorry.
if you don't have these conditions and consider yourself an ally to us then you do not have any business speaking with any kind of authority in conversations involving limb differences, motor impairments, etc. and art-making, or bringing artists with these conditions up when people are talking art-making and accessibility. full-stop. speaking from experience, being an artist with coordination and motor skill impairments when i'm surrounded by artists who aren't hindered by those things (even if physically disabled) really takes a mental toll on you and being all "oh this guy learned to draw with his teeth, so" does not help that whatsoever.
2. speaking as a horror artist/author - critically examine what you consider monstrous or horrific and the overlap between that and visible physical disability. not only have i had the above nonsense shoved in my face but then semi-popular art account posted a few photos (from online assumedly) that they called "monster eyes" when one of those images was leukocoria and another looked something like tonic pupil and/or coloboma (the pupil looked atypically large and out of place.) structrual eye conditions that cause visible differences aren't "monstrous." one of the images had crystals growing out of the eye, which, yeah! do more with that. but consider that images of "freaky" eyes you find on the internet are in fact eye conditions that real people have and what you're doing is associating how their bodies look with "monstrosity."
people have talked about this quite a bit with limb differences, bodily proportions, gait differences, motor impairments, etc. but i've never seen it talked about nearly as much with eye conditions. stop associating aspects of visible bodily differences with horror and monstrosity. even if it's unintentional that's purely due to your ignorance of the wealth of conditions that cause disability. exploration of disability and bodily difference within the context of horror and monstrosity can and honestly should be explored but that should be left to to those of us who actually understand what that is like rather than those who only have an outside perspective.
generally i'm very tired of able-bodied artists and then any physically disabled ones who lack respect for those of different experience to their situation.

My apologies for bringing back the AI discourse once more, lol, but while I understand and agree with a lot of the ideas youāve brought up about AI generated art, I still canāt fully get behind it because, I dunno, isnāt it messed up to have taken someoneās labor to create the datasets capable of making AI art happen? If you donāt have the consent of the people whose content the AI is being trained on, isnāt that wrong too? As far as I know, a lot of these AI generators just scrape the Internet, even copyrighted material (lol) for datasetsā that makes me really uncomfortable to know that my work is probably floating around some dataset somewhere, and while in the end itās just a picture that someone generates for fun, the lack of consent to that is very discomforting. I donāt quite know what Iām asking here, I just feel like that has always been my biggest qualm with AI art. Is the solution just ethical AI generators with the consent of the people whose data is being used? Is that possible?
i guess i just fundamentally disagree with you on how ownership or art should work and how far it should be extended & think that following your stance to its natural conclusion would make the world a worse place. i think someone using art posted online in a collage is cool and good and that seems like much more straightforwardly 'using someone else's art without consented' than using that same piece of art as one datapoint among millions in a training set that teaches AI what things look like. & of course all the practical real methods of increasing that sort of post facto artistic control include strengthening IP laws and by that token strengthening large media corporations -- imagine a world where AI can only be trained on images you have the legal rights to, that would mean getty and disney could train away on their massive catalogues to the detriment of independent artists!
my one contention with AI dataset gathering is that private datasets are precipitating an arms race where platforms try to lay legal claim to their content so they can get a slice of the pie that is appropriating and privatising what should be publicly available.

Hey everyone!
Just coming in with some clarifications to our rules regarding event fills:
Anyone can post whatever fills they like to the event tag. We can hardly stop you! However, this is a Danny Phantom-focused event, and we're trying to keep it that way for the people who follow the blog. As such:
Excepting the Isekai prompts, we will not be reblogging crossover fills, to keep them from flooding out everything else.
Promoting a shop or other source of funds related to your art is fine. However, keep any promotional images below a readmore, so that people viewing the event blog don't have to scroll past the same advertisement repeatedly. If you would like, you can include a short blurb about joining your patreon above the readmore, with your username there and some indication that there is more information under the readmore.
Regarding adult/minor ships:
We will not reblog anything that can be easily construed as adult/minor shipping. This includes, but is not limited to, aging characters up or down in a ship that would otherwise be between an adult and child. This is to minimize drama. If you ship anything that falls under that umbrella, feel free to go wild with the fills! Just be aware and forewarned that the blog won't be reblogging it.
By the same token: We will not tolerate harassment. If we see you harassing people in the event tag for what they've posted, or if you attempt to use this blog as a platform to harass them, you may expect to be blocked and reported.
That's it, folks! Remember: this is meant to be a fun fandom event. Let's keep it that way!
