Yeah, this post took me a while- but to be honest, it’s because I needed time to start writing it.

If you’re new or don’t know my account, hi, I’m gonna talk about my OC Valentin and the complexity I decided to give them. I have previously at multiple time gave informations about her as a character, mainly in her character design analysis but you are free to simply read this post or not because it will only focus on her step 2 crisis.

Valentin Second and the childhood of someone who wanted to feel pretty.

Valentin likes her hometown, they like being the center of attention, he likes ice skating, she likes her mom, and his sister, her French accent, her mole, her fancy scarf, his new friends, chocolate cake, bunnies but what they truly like

Being complimented.

Valentin is Hyperactive, they get an ADHD diagnostic early in her childhood and balance her energy in her adventures with their friends.

At the opposite of his sister Valentin became popular quite fast. They seem to talk with everyone he meets and she’s an intriguing little one.

Valentin learned early about gender norms and how she was allowed to simply change them, lie to people with their 10 years old wisdom and the the fact that constantly changing could be fun. She doesn’t care how her approach to her identity seems to others because it’s something they still view through childish eyes. It get tensed up when it catch him up in puberty.

Valentin is Amab and life won’t always treat you the same, she’s learning it the hard way. Young valentin spend a lot of time online and is confronted to not only transphobia but what will serverly impact their life : The social media cult of appearance.

It’s like a rabbit hole. You see pretty characters from your favorite show, they all look nice, and you see pictures of real people looking like them, and they look nice. The pictures of pretty people multiply and you envy their look and how everyone likes them.

Wanting to be pretty enough, Valentin settle on being a girl in her tween year, believing she should stop her childish game and focus on « passing »

She wants to be pretty but not just pretty, perfectly flawless, the kind of girl who people gush over on social media. It’s only the rise of Instagram and tumblr but she’s here, daily obssessing on her appearance to the point she’s not living her own life and it makes her miserable.

There is a complex mix of her needs of validation, insecurity, dysphoria, anxiety, and fear of judgment that constantly play in her head like an old record. The sad part ? It’s not that noticeable.

Everyone is going through their problem and when yours is trying to be too perfect, a lot of people will see it as something good, a nice goal perhaps.

Worse in that, Valentin loves ice skating. This sport is her passion but there is something horrific about seeing how ugly you look in the middle of the wild range of pretty teens in their sparkly costumes. Her own passion complexe her, she dosen’t feel good enough in anything nothing is working like she wants it to and it eat her alive.

Sometimes it all slip up. In the car with her mom, at a sleepover with her best friend, or in the middle of an argument with her sister.

She just doesn’t feel well

And don’t know how to feel better about herself.

Jealousy is ugly,

She would rather cry in her room every night than admit that she hates how pretty everyone looks but her.

She hates how everyone is doing well when she’s not, she despises everyone for no reason and she hates herself for being such a bad friend.

She just hates herself.

She doesn’t like herself.

It’s hard when you’re 14 and you can’t like anything.

Sometimes people who you like and who likes you back will reach a hand, but you are too selfish to take it. You’ll thank them, and say everything is alright now when in reality you are still upset. Brush it off, they’ll stop asking one day.

Perhaps one day you’ll be honest.

However, for now, you would rather be pretty.

Since I'm currently working on something else Xiaoyue related, I thought I'd post some art of one of the aus I've made surrounding her.

I don't have much art for this au, but I still enjoy the au (even though I haven't thought of much that changes in canon because of this au, but I will eventually). So here's the lore for this au:

After Mk becomes Monkey King's successor, Xiaoyue feels forgotten and is pretty much ignored by the others whenever Mk is around. Though the others never intentionally ignore the elder twin, but it doesn't stop her from feeling like a shadow in her own life. Then one day Xiaoyue decides to just leave, but no one really notices except her brother Mk. This subsequently gets her possessed by LBD, who promises Xiaoyue that she'll finally be noticed by those around her and won't ever be forgotten. Xiaoyue doesn't fight the possession, actually embraces it, and lets LBD lead the way to fulfill her "destiny". Xiaoyue is fully aware of what's happening around her when LBD is in control. However, she doesn't agree with the way LBD treats others to fulfill her "destiny", which causes conflict between the two. Especially after encountering her brother.

When Mk meets the possessed Xiaoyue, he's so happy to see her. Though he's a bit confused about how she ended up with the Spider Queen and in a new outfit. Yet that confusion and happiness disappear when he realizes that Xiaoyue is now under the control of LBD. He doesn't get to ask why, leaving before the question could come up. However, now knowing LBD is using his sister, he has to find a way to stop LBD soon and get his sister back.

I could probably go through the episodes to explain what happens differently because I have some ideas on how things would be different, but I'll have to do that another time. Especially since I want to think things out and figure out ways to make it seem that it wasn't necessarily one person's fault for Xiaoyue's feelings being so negative to allow her to let LBD use her as a host. Tw: abusive relationship ,depression and parental neglect

Erinna Alphonse ( full name ) 's parents died when she was a baby and she ended up in the orphanage. She was lucky to get adopted young by a lovely couple who wanted to have a daughter.

All her childhood, she was pampered like a princess. It all was going well until she tuner 6 years old. After years the couple finally managed to have a legitimate child.

A majority of the family didn't consider Erinna as legitimate in the family but it's wasn't too serious because she was young and the subject didn't come back often. With the arrival of a « legitimate » child the question came up again, they had no valid reason to not count her as a family now they did. It’s simple, outside of her grandparents most of them started to simply tolerated her « when will you send her back ? »

Little iris is now the center of the family and takes all of her parent’s attention.That created the syndrome of the King child. You give everything to Iris the younger because we are so proud to have her, after all, she is the little one of the family, we must pamper her. Erinna is old enough, she can understand, right?

Erinna Understood very well that we favorise the youngest, after all, it is a baby and she has no rancor. She loves her little sister, she looks after her, she takes care of her... So why would she hold a grudge against her?

Years pass and her parent enrolled her in multiple private lessons because failing to grant her their presence in her life, they wanted her to do big and great language studies. In some way, it was for them the only reason she was worth getting attention.

For that, she started an international program in middle school with English for history and literature, added Latin optional, Spanish in LV2, and the following years a study of Russian, Japanese, Polish, German, and in the end Finnish, switching constantly when her level isn’t judged good enough to begin with.

Just by reading it, you can feel how much this program looks heavy for a midlescholer and it is. Above it, she takes care of herself since her parents trust her to be big enough to do it alone. They are too busy and they didn't want to waste money on a nanny when Erinna is capable enough to do everything alone.

growing up too early ruins a childhood and at the age of 15, she is already in Burnout.

No time to make friends you have to work, no time to sleep you have to do your dinner, no time to go out you have to clean your house.

As she’s busy, her parents take even less time for her, ut's a pitty excuse as they are the ones overlooking her and then complain. They go on vacation with the youngest one and leave her the keys for her to study at home because exams go first, they go see the family without her because she's not that welcome now that grandpa is gone. They do not celebrate her birthday because it is too close to Christmas and after all, they can just mix the two and that if they remember to wish her a good day.

The problem is, nothing is all bad or all good for her, it’s a gray area in the heart of the girl.

They are neither bad nor good with her, it's neglect. She’s just so tired, the simple idea of opening a book makes her want to cry. she’s tired of it all but doesn’t want to complain because she doesn’t see the injustice. For her, it's just that she’s rubbing herself for nothing and her parents are doing a lot of stuff so she should stop complaining.

During her last High school year, a person who draws her attention, a boy named Ricky.

Ricky is nice to her, he remembers their little discussions, she gets along well with him and it’s a light of comfort in the ocean of her life. He always try to reach out to her, sometimes walked her home. So when he asks her out she happily says yes, she feels loved for the first time in a while.

No one gives her attention, apart from asking for homework, she has no interaction with the people in her class. She is alone, she is tired, but it is the end of her white exams, which means it's the Christmas holidays and soon her birthday. she will turn 18 and she thought that for the occasion her parents would prepare something, after all, Iris got a giant event for her 10 years.

Their answer to her question :

Oh, we thought you wanted to celebrate it with your friends, we won’t here here for the holidays.

She didn't recover from their answer and that’s the last time she’ll talk to her parents face-to-face because she snapped. She can't handle the pressure anymore, she’s heartbroken, tired and upset.

Ricky moved in his appartement and freshly 18, she takes all her belongings and move in with him.

(This part is about mental and physical abuse)

At first, everything was nice, just a little couple living together. Erinna is at the lowest of her depression, she don’t go out, she sleeps all day, she takes little care of herself and simply loose her sense of time.

Ricky who was once a loving boyfriend is more and more controling. At first it felt genuine but it slowly grew on possessiveness and control, she can’t do anything on her own and he makes sure she can’t. At some point he doesn’t bother no more, simply locking her in the appartement.

The relationship grew violent, he got irritated, she got scared and it escalated in the bedroom.

One days where she cries about her life she thinks about it and how she dosent want to live, not like that, not here, not that way.

So she escapes.

She search for one of her blood relative, she finds the manor and that where her story starts.

Have the only drawings of Shuchun I have so far

They're not best since they are sketches, but that's okay. Also the version of Nezha I drew is the one from the Netflix movie Ne Zha (which is so good!!!! Also where I came up with the idea of Nezha having a friend that ends up immortal)

Yes I know the leg warmers I drew on her modern day outfit is too long, but I like to just say it's because of her being short since she's only 14 and immortal. She does have a more grown-up form that she occasionally uses, but she prefers her natural state. Also she's holding a fan if that wasn't easy to tell.

Her pigtails in her modern day form are pink because the color reminds her of Nezha and lotus flowers (also she just likes the color pink).

I haven't developed her much, but I don't mind getting questions about her because it can help me develop her more. (Along with headcanons I have with Nezha in the lmk series)
