Part 1
University was stressful, but it was stress you would work through for your future. However, your stress just seemed to grow, and it had nothing to do with your class work.
It all came down to two of your professors.
Professor Zemo and Professor Lauda.
Both of them were incredibly handsome men who you often found yourself daydreaming about. You counted yourself as incredibly lucky to find yourself in their classes.
Helmut Zemo, your history professor. He comes from Sokovia, a country you knew very little about before learning this fact. You were his top student, but only the two of you knew that.
Niki Lauda, your languages professor. From Austria, where you have been, and would hope to go again just because this man lived there. His eyes would linger on you during class and you found it hard to keep up appearances with all your classmates around.
Both of these man had you wrapped around their fingers, but you had no idea just how bad it would become. You left your current class with Professor Zemo and headed back to your dorm.
With classes wrapped up, the teachers gathered in the teacher's lounge for lunch. There were only two teachers in there as of now. Zemo and Lauda.
The two men looked at each other.
It was no secret they despised each other. However, the reason for the hatred was a secret. No one could know they were both doting on the same student.
Both men utterly adored you.
Helmut Zemo would whisk you away during the breaks and holidays. He would take you on trips to places you had never been before, and some that you had just to create new memories with you. He would spoil you and buy you gifts. He would dance with you late at night in his office or his home. He would cook you dinner and make love to you at any ungodly hour.
Niki Lauda would take you Austria with him, show you sights. He would make you wear his jackets as he wrapped an arm around you, wanting people to know you were together. He would invite you into his office just fuck you on his desk, warning you to be quiet if you made too much noise. He would sit you in his lap while he graded papers and pepper your neck and cheek with kisses.
Niki glared at Zemo as he got what he wanted and sat down on the far side of the room. He hated him.
With graduation only days away, Niki was desperate to win you over. He wanted you come home with him and stay. He wanted you in his life so badly, but this other man was standing in his way. He couldn't have you until you let Zemo go completely.
Helmut barely paid him any mind as he tucked into his lunch. He only came to the lounge because he knew Niki would be in here, otherwise he would eat in his office.
Letting Niki Lauda have you was the last thing he would do.
"Y/N looks good today," Zemo says, knowing Niki had yet to see you today. His class with you want until later.
"Y/N looks good every day," Niki replies, still glaring at him.
"What will you do when they graduate?" Zemo's lip curls into a grin as he eyes the Austrian man.
"I shall take Y/N back home with me. I will hand in my notice and teach back in my home country."
Helmut couldn't help the laughter that tumbled from his lips. That had to be the funniest joke he had ever heard. He did not care for how much harder Niki narrowed his eyes at him.
"What's so funny, asshole?"
Helmut composed himself and smiled wickedly at him. He sat up a little more straight as he replied.
"Sorry, it's just funny you think Y/N will be going back to Austria with you. Y/N and I will be returning to my homeland. We will be very happy in Sokovia."
Niki was so pissed, he broke the pen in his hand. Ink covered his fingers as he stood up cursing in German.
Helmut chuckled at Lauda's predicament.
"That was your fault, asshole. Y/N will not choose you." Niki gathered his things and stormed out of the room.
Helmut had another good laugh once he was alone.
You made your way to class. Languages. You had been studying hard for this class, really wanting to impress Niki. He had been helping you in private... after your vigorous activities.
You were the first in the class. Niki turned around when he heard someone enter, and his face relaxed tremendously when he saw it was you.
"Y/N, can I see you after class?"
You smile softly.
"Sure. In your office?"
He nods. He can't say any more as the door opens and other students come flooding in. Throughout the class he steals glances at you. You offer him a small smile every time he looked up at you.
When class was over you lingered behind and waited for everyone else to leave. Niki disappeared into his office and you quickly followed after him, but not acting to out of it. You didn't need rumours to start from those last few studentseaving the class.
As soon as the door closed behind you, Niki pulled you over to his desk and into his lap. He had his arms around you has he rested his head against your chest. You lifted one hand to tangle in his curly hair.
"What is it?"
"Your graduation is coming soon," he says softly.
"Yes. It's come really quickly."
He sighs as he gazes up at you with his stunning eyes. You smile softly and give him a gentle kiss.
He lifts a hand to rest against the side of your face.
"What are you going to do?" He asked.
"I... I don't know."
Niki runs his thumb along your cheekbone and stares intensely into your eyes. You know what he's asking. It had been on your mind for some time now, but you didn't know what you were going to do.
How were you suppose to choose between these two men?
You run tour fingers through his curls again and sigh softly, biting at your lip in thought.
"I don't know," you said again.
Niki pulls you into a kiss and keeps you there for a moment, making it linger. He needed to feel you, taste you.
You broke the kiss and stood up.
"I need to go. I'll see you tomorrow Niki."
He doesn't want to let you go, but he has to. He has one final class to do before the day ends. However, it would be hard to focus on it when he can only think of you.
You look back at him as you leave.
You walk down the hall with your books tucked under your arm. You knew you would have make a decision because you could only have one.
....or none, but you didn't want that!
Lost in your thoughts of Professor Lauda, you were startled when someone grabbed your arm and pulled you into the nearest classroom.
Helmut pinned you up against the wall beside the door, his lips already on your neck. Your books tumbled to the floor as you snaked your arms him.
"Professor!"
He grins against your skin before pulling back so he can see your eyes. He pinned your wrists to the wall, but he was gentle about it.
"I missed you," he whispered against your lips.
You smile softly and kiss him.
"I missed you too."
He let's go of your wrists and cradles your face in his hands. He looks sad. You place your hands over his and savour the warmth they give off.
"I know what you want to ask, but the answer is, I don't know."
Helmut sighs as he rests his forehead against your shoulder. You press a kiss above his ear and lean your head gently against his. One of his hands slip into yours and his fingers curl around your own.
"I don't to want to lose you to him," he mumble.
"I know, but I don't know how I'm suppose to decide. Damn this university for hiring attractive professors," you chuckle.
Helmut chuckles with you.
He stands upright and looks at you softly.
"You can't blame us for falling for you. Who ever wins you over will be very lucky indeed. Just... don't let it be him."
"Professor... I can't promise anything."
"You have until graduation," he tells you, steeping away from you. He takes a step back and looks at you as a professor should.
A teacher looking at their student.
You turn away and leave the classroom.
Graduation was days away. You were running out of time. On of these men would be your future, but you had to decide which future you desired.
Niki Lauda was slumped in his desk chair staring at his desk. His lap felt so empty without you sitting in it. He couldn't focus on the papers on his desk as he thought of you.
Helmut Zemo leaned against the wall he had you pinned against. If you chose him he would be beyond happy. He would make a future with you far from here where he could love you completely.
Both men balled a hand into a fist.
The wouldn't allow the other man to win.
Time was running out for all three of you. Something had to be done.

Eurovision reviews: Semi 2
These reviews are based on my personal opinions about the songs, and not their potential in the actual competition. Qualification predictions are coming up in a separate post.
San Marino: Senhit ft Flo Rida - Adrenalina
After a decade of giving us nothing but memes, San Marino have finally decided to get competitive for real, giving us possibly the biggest Eurovision meme of all time by featuring some rapper called Florida Man in their song. Let's be honest, Flo Rida isn't nearly as big as he was a decade ago, but he's still the most relevant global celebrity to show up to Eurovision for a really long time. I know fans are upset that an American is showing up to Eurovision with a song that he very obviously doesn't care about, but I disagree! San Marino has what, 50 inhabitants? A country that small has every right to recruit some help from abroad. This is a banger and a huge meme, what else could you possibly want?
9/10
Estonia: Uku Suviste - The Lucky One
Between this song and the song from last year, I'm starting to think that this Uku Suviste guy might be the most boring man on the planet.
2/10
Czech Republic: Benny Cristo - Omaga
Listen, I think this song is criminally underrated by the fandom, but from what I've seen so far the live vocals are rough. I'm obsessed with the official music video where Benny recreates Leonardo Dicaprio's iconic car door moment from The Wolf of Wall street, but I don't think the live performance will be anywhere near as great as the video.
7/10
Greece: Stefania - Last Dance
I think this song is trying way too hard. It's too fast and there's too many high notes, I'm getting exhausted just listening to it. The staging is looking stupid as fuck, which is fun. Whoever decided that Stefania should be surrounded by dismembered dancing gym shorts should win the Nobel peace prize.
6/10
Austria: Vincent Bueno - Amen
This is even more boring than the last song called Amen, which is remarkable.
2/10
Poland: RAFAŁ - The Ride
There's definitely a good song hiding in here somewhere, but honestly, it needed another singer. This geriatric boybander unironically wearing sunglasses indoors isn't doing it for me.
4/10
Moldova: Natalia Gordienko - SUGAR
The fact that we're not getting any cake-related murder on stage is a real letdown. I was expecting a fun mess on stage, but it looks like we're just getting a boring mess.
3/10
Iceland: Daði og Gagnamagnið - 10 Years
This band has the worst luck in the world. I think this song is great, but it's obviously weaker than Think about things, which was the kind of perfection that can't ever be recreated. The staging is looking fantastic, but I'm just so sad that they can't perform it live.
If Dadi should return for a third attempt at Eurovision, I fully expect a volcano eruption to prevent him from attending the contest.
8/10
Serbia: Hurricane - Loco Loco
I honestly find this song really forgettable, but at least these girls have a really great stage presence. I feel like I should have something interesting to say here but I can't come up with anything at all. It's probably a fan favorite for a reason but I'm just not having any feelings about this at all, positive or negative.
6/10
Georgia: Tornike Kipiani - You
After watching thousands of Eurovision rankings and recaps on youtube, I still can't remember a single note of this song. I really wish he would bring back the weird screaming about random nationalities from last year, because at least that was fun.
2/10
Albania: Anxhela Peristeri - Karma
I really feel like we have gotten this exact song from Albania 500 times in the last 10 years.
3/10
Portugal: The Black Mamba - Love Is On My Side
I'm conflicted because on one hand I really enjoy this genre of music, but on the other hand this just feels like an album track.
4/10
Bulgaria: VICTORIA - Growing Up Is Getting Old
Victoria is basically just a Billie Eilish impersonator, but like a really expensive impersonator. This song might have the best staging of the year, and the song sounds fantastic, even if it's obviously very derivative.
8/10
Finland: Blind Channel - Dark Side
The year is 2008, I'm in 8th grade, me and my gang of nerds and emos are in recess listening to this song off someone's crappy flip phone. This is retro as fuck and I'm weirdly fascinated by the fact that the guys singing this are the same age as me and making this middle school throwback kind of music. Saatana perkele \m/
10/10
Latvia: Samanta Tīna - The Moon Is Rising
I mean, she's trying really, really hard to make something, but I have no idea what it is that she's trying to make. The whole "blood moon is rising" lyric really makes me think it's some kind of feminist statement about periods.
4/10
Switzerland: Gjon's Tears - Tout l'Univers
Super unpopular opinion but I absolutely love the staging where Gjon dances like a pretentious art school weirdo. I am reminded of Loic Nottet, and that's pretty music the highest compliment I could give any eurovision contestant.
9/10
Denmark: Fyr Og Flamme - Øve Os På Hinanden
I can't decide if this is endearing or repulsive. It's exactly like a Swedish, or I guess Danish dansband song from circa 1983 and I cannot for the life of me understand how this song ended up here. The danish language is the funniest shit in the world so it gets huge bonus points for making Europe endure 3 full minutes of guttural caveman noises.

I'm five. Ms F is my daycare teacher. I spend all day, every day trying to be as close to her as I can, talking with her, cuddling with her. She's my favorite teacher in the whole school, I want to be just like her when I grow up. I'm going to be a teacher. She's kind, has a soft voice, soft manners. She smells nice. I don't want to grow up and have another teacher. I just want her.
I'm eleven. I meet C on a school trip, an older pupil. She is the funniest, smartest, most clever, most interesting person I have ever met. I find any occasion to talk to her during the two week trip, at my own public embarrassment. She loves to talk, though, she's easily the center of attention in any group. I listen, completely fascinated as she talks about drinking, smoking, having sex with her boyfriend. Everything she wears is gorgeous and creative, her hair looks amazing, her voice is beautiful. I love everything she loves, listen to all music she listens to. After the trip, I find every excuse to greet her long past her own desire to have any contact with me at all. A few months later, I overhear her making fun of me with another pupil. I don't talk to her again. Her class moves to another building of our school the next year. I don't see her again.
I'm twelve. I've recently moved up to an older section of the scout club I'm a part of and I hate AC, the troop leader. For a whole year, I hate her stupid face and how she talks and the way she tells awkward jokes and how she bickers with our other troop leader and everything about her... Until the summer camp. A switch clicks inside me, one too many fight she had with the other leader. That one time, I take her side and I suddenly can't get enough of her. The whole camp, we talk for hours at the campfire, by the river, in the forest. I feel like we could talk about anything, like she could be a big sister to me forever. She feels lonely, almost all the scouts are taking the side of the other leader. At the end of the camp, AC announces that she will be leaving our scout club. In private, she tells me that the bickering with the other troop leader has turned into bullying and she can't take it anymore. I miss her so hard already I cry all night and she comforts me. She gives me a little piece à jewelry I cherish for months, I memorize every word of the few texts she sends me the following months. I don't see her again.
I'm fourteen. Besides scouting, I'm part of another extra-curricular club centered around nature and ecology and I am looking forward to every meeting because I adore the responsible. S is funny and awkward and I love the shape of her collarbone and the color of her eyes. I hate her boyfriend for no apparent reason, I write stories about how repulsive he is, I call him mean names behind his back, it makes her laugh. She moves away to another country for a few months and I try to keep contact any possible way. I brace my phobia of the phone to call her as often as I dare. I write letters to her and I get a few back - I re-read them all the time. Years later, I hear they have separated and feel a distant relief. Much stronger, I feel shame for that relief.
I'm fifteen and obsessed with some online game. I spend all night on it every night and I am fascinated by A. We've created a small friendly guild together and I invite her to every dungeon raid, any grinding session, I gift her everything I can. We meet at a gaming convention with a few other guild members, I look forward to the event for months. As soon as we've arrived there and found a place to sit after a few activities, A starts kissing some guy that's part of our guild. I never even knew she was into him. I spend all weekend feeling heartbroken and useless. I just wish we could have talked. I just wish I was more interesting. Later, in game, she apologizes for making me the third wheel. I say it was nothing and she can do what she wants. It wasn't nothing. Our guild soon dissolves. I find another guild not long after and she stops playing.
I'm sixteen and going to a world jamboree in Austria with thousands of scouts from all over the world. One of the girls in my group, a year older, is beautiful and has a warm deep voice and beautiful hair she ties up and she bangs a different guy every night of camp. She talks to me about it because everyone else is shaming her for it, tells me about the German she fucked, that she had a great time and two orgasms. I think about it for weeks.
I'm seventeen and Mrs J has been my Latin teacher for five years. She's also been my favore teacher for five years. I admire how quietly and kindly she can keep order in her classes even with rowdy pupils. She has the kindest smile. Due to Latin classes being very unpopular and an odd way of assigning classrooms, I find myself having a class just with her, one on one, every Thursday morning before lunch. I look forward to that period every week, and every week I dread it. I love the attention, the connection. I'm terrified to blurt out something I would regret. I congratulate myself every Thursday noon for another week of not completely embarrassing myself.
I'm eighteeen and Mrs V is my favorite teacher in college. She's beautiful, she's funny, she's patient and her class is the most interesting I have. I wish I could have all my classes taught by her. My best friend, who is a lesbian, agrees and we nickname her "the princess". We talk about her all the time. The next year, I have a lecture in some classroom just after she's given hers there. Me and my friend like to be there as early as possible just to say hello to her. She tells us it's not necessary for us to enter the classroom before she's left it and our teacher has arrived. We're heartbroken together and try to arrive as late as possible to not see her again.
I'm nineteen and a friend asks me to tell her a secret, to say something about myself I've always kept inside. I tell her I like girls.
I'm a lesbian. I've always been a lesbian. I always pushed it down. I never realized all of those experiences were crushes as they were happening. Most of them took me until I was a grown ass adult to recognize as such, some of them very recently.
Being a lesbian blooming late means parsing your own childhood in search for meaning, for signs of what you know about yourself now, it means regrets. It's about missed opportunities, missed emotions, missed moments. It's knowing your younger years were only half lived.
Please, younger girls, young lesbians. Open your eyes, open your hearts. Watch your life unfold and own every minute of it. Own your crushes. Own being a lesbian. Be aware, be proud, know and say who you are. Your attractions are real. Lesbian is not a dirty word.

11 Questions Tag
Rules: Always post the rules, do all 11 questions by the tagger, write 11 of your own questions, and tag 11 people to answer said questions.
Tagged by the always wonderful @lizziethereader <3
Which color is lacking on your shelves? Yellow! (why is that??)
Do you manage to remember the main characters’ names years after you’ve read a book? If I really really loved the book, yes. But if it wasn’t like anything special, generally no :( I honestly just read too many books a year to remember everyone’s names!
Do you have a favorite publisher? (and if so, why?) Norton! Because they make the BEST literary anthologies that the nerdiest bookworm part of me loves.
What is a no-go that will make it impossible for a book to redeem itself to you? If an abusive love interest is portrayed as a “misunderstood good guy,” when really he/she is very problematic and an abuser. AHEM, LOOKING AT YOU NOVEMBER 9.
Funniest book character you can think of? Percy Jackson (i’m sure I’ve read funnier, but for some reason I can’t think of anyone else at the moment. And Percy is my husband sooooo...)
What are your thoughts on poetry? LOVE IT. I COULD DISSECT IT FOR DAYS. Especially T.S. Eliot, Geoffrey Chaucer, John Donne, and other really old authors. My favorite more contemporary poet is Meggie Royer.
Is there a book you wish you hadn’t bought? Which one? Fedus by Avery Hastings. Because it was a horribly poorly done book. Ugh. That’s what i get for buying it based on the cover.
What’s your favorite aesthetic in book pictures? Books with sunflowers! Or kitties :)
What’s the latest quote you bookmarked/wrote down/ found great? “Sometimes you can do everything right and things will still go wrong. The key is to never stop doing right.” (from The Hate U Give)
What is the coolest city you’ve read about? (can be real or fictional) So many of the cities in Lord of the Rings come to mind; Edoras, Rivendell, The Shire. But I honestly really loved reading about New Orleans in Ruta Sepetys “Out of the Easy.” It was especially cool because it was in a historical setting - the book takes place in the 1950′s. It made me want to go there though!
I can’t come up with anything cool for the last question, so because I’m curious I want to know: What do you know about Austria? Actually not much, tbh :( I’m sorry! Teach me more about it!
MY QUESTIONS:
What is your favorite non-fiction topic to read about?
If you could direct a movie adaptation of any book, what would it be?
Do you use a reading journal?
Have you read the Harry Potter books?
Name a fictional character you can’t stand.
Do you check books out from the library often?
Ever read a book that takes place where you live? (be it in the same state, country, or even town!)
Who are your top fictional crushes?
Do you listen to audiobooks?
What is one book that did not live up to the hype for you?
Do you read comic books or graphic novels? (And what are some of your favorites if you do?)
I tag: @audreys-book-nook @givemedabooks @the-angels-have-the-bookshelves @bookshelvesanonymous @the-great-decline @bookcub @stargirl-carraway and @missdarcy87

I have so many nice memories and choosing one is hard.. One of the good memories I had is the evening that my dad brought home two game boy colors and two copies of the first gen pokemon games!! One for me, one for my brother :-)

Look, I love patterned clothes (like flowers) in The Sims, but in real life I HATE patterns like that! I prefer clothes of one single color, maybe two? But no patterns, no texts and no frills or flaps and ugh!! So my style is usually a pair of jeans with sneakers and a cute shirt/sweater :)
