I finished watching Transformers Animated today!! (Yes I'm still watching and plan to finish G1, but my vacations are ending soon so I wanted to watch another TF show before that, which is also the reason I started watching Transformers Prime at the same time lol. I already finished Season 1 of Prime, but that's another post for later)

And can we all just agree that Optimus isn't the responsible one for what happened to Elita One?!!

Like it was Sentinels fault for suggesting going to that planet when it clearly wasn't allowed, and Optimus wanted to get out of there and voiced that thought. And even when they already fell through that hole before the spiders appeared he once again voiced that they should get out of there. And then when Elita fell into the hole of spiders and the Energon was exploding Optimus made the logical and reasonable choice of getting away from there cause they were gonna die if they didn't. And Sentinel then putting all the blame to him for the accident, and telling this lies to Ultra Magnus, making Optimus expelled from the academy (and Optimus letting it happen cause he feels guilty about the events. OPTIMUS MY BABY YOU WEREN'T I PROMISE :(((), and still calling him a loser after all this time??!! I'm glad that Sentinel at least got to be kicked around and bullied in his scenes cause the jerk definitely deserves it and more.

I just feel for so bad for this Optimus, cause he obviously didn't want to abandon Elita, but the place was literally blowing up and after the explosion ended her signal didn't came up, so what's the logical reason? That she's offline, not that she got turned into a spider-lady!!

But BOYYYY THOSE STORY SCRIPTS FOR THAT EPISODE OF SEASON 4 WHERE OPTIMUS GETS TO CHANGE THE PAST BUT HE ENDS UP BEING THE TECHNO-ORGANIC SPIDER??!! MAN I WOULD'VE EAT THAT UP SO QUICKLY I WANT IT RAHHHHH!!!

Also I'm checking the ao3 fandom tag rn and I'm seeing a lack of found family fics of the Autobots and Sari????!! HUH?????!! WHERE'S MY FOUND FAMILY FOOD???? was re-reading old Mac and Davey hcs and...I'm starving...if you may give me stuff about them ill blow up /pos 🥺

no matter how old he is, the easiest way to set davey off is to talk shit about mac. specifically, if anyone calls mac 'a big dumb brute' they are getting a bullet or a fist in their face as fast as davey is physically capable

this includes punching mac for joking about his own intelligence, even though mac is fully aware and unashamed of the fact he has average intelligence at best. he's always known davey is objectively smarter than him, and if he had gone to school davey could've easily become a lawyer or doctor

this is because, bless his heart, davey genuinely believes his brother knows everything. with their parents dying when davey was so young, mac taught him everything he knows. reading? mac. writing? mac. horse riding? mac. explaining death? mac. the talk? mac. shooting? mac. robbing? mac. Poker, one of his only joys in life? mac.

all davey knows is that his entire life, mac has known everything. in his mind, mac is the smartest person in the world (not that he would ever tell Mac he thinks so highly of him and admires him so much, they're still Men they don't talk about Feelings)

also Mac absolutely would laugh at him because it's really obvious just how much stuff Davey just doesn't remember happening because he was so young.

like the first time Mac got a boner he very awkwardly hobbled himself into a clinic with a 5-year old Davey in tow, on the verge of tears, thinking he was dying. the appointment cost every dollar they had to their names only for the doctor to laugh at him.

or mac's nose isn't crooked from a bar fight against a dozen navy men when he was just a teen, but from teaching himself how to shoot a gun based on comic books and punching himself in the face with the recoil. multiple times

or that the 'giant, mean, feral beast' of a horse that mac caught from the wild and taught davey how to ride on was actually a 20 year old lazy plow horse mac stole from a farm

bill is the only one who knows the true stories because when davey is telling them around the campfire a) mac doesn't bother correcting him because they make him sound so cool and b) the gang know if they call bullshit davey will unleash hell upon them. and honestly the navy story is pretty believable knowing adult mac

when mac and davey joined the gang, there was a really weird adjustment period where they didn't sleep. this was to the gang's dismay, since the callanders are irritable at the best of times but add sleep deprived and both are lit tnt just waiting for the fuse to burn down before exploding.

this is because from the time davey was old enough to stay awake through the night, they slept in shifts so one was always on guard. they had a tiny one-man travel tent, because only one of them would sleep at a time.

but because they didn't trust the gang yet, they would just - stick together. if one was on guard duty, the other would stay up to 'help' because they weren't used to guarding such a wide perimeter. if neither was on guard duty, they would stay up because they didn't trust the gang to actually be watching out for them yet.

they had only ever slept with one brother sitting awake just outside the tent door while the other was asleep, and then rotating. they spend their whole adult lives not even in shouting distance, but talking distance of one another

they also still insisted on keeping their little one-man tent in camp, instead of assuming places with the other gunmen.

hosea eventually was the one to figure out if they were both on guard duty, they'd both be so exhausted they'd fall asleep right after instead of keeping one another up. and despite both being exhausted, they'd still insist on crashing in their one little tent.

arthur has a drawing of them, adult siblings, curled up around each other like little kids with mac still instinctively keeping his arms around davey while he was asleep.

while mocking them relentlessly about this (until they both decided to beat him up, which resulted in john getting involved and a huge mess), how much the two obviously cared about each other was one of the callanders few redeeming qualities.

Loved this chapter so much!! I want to scream/pos. Caracalla was so embarrassing – made my face go red. I feel if I were Alga I would physically explode... but he's also so cute!! So in love!!!

And Geta...he was cute at first... melting under Alga's headscratches... precious, dare I say. BUT OF COURSE HE HAD TO RUIN THIS!! GODDD get this man a journal and pen – having a diary would save him. OR AT LEAST PREVENT HIM FOR BLOWING UP LIKE THIS AT POOR ALGA!!! And then he wonders why his feelings are not mutual. Or why Alga is not calling him by his name. GETA!! The call is coming from inside the house!!!

I will confess that reading about Alga throwing things at Geta was a bit satisfying, although I also felt a certain amount of pity towards this dumb emperor. Like, yeah he was a huge dick... but damn. This man cannot handle having a crush😞

Remembering him being saved by emmet when he was in a somewhat similar position… trying to save two vulpix… (the freaking!!! Tears!!! In emmets eyes!!!) them stumbling home and skipping to meeting arceus (fantastic transitions throughout, btw) and the. Freaking. GIRATINA ENTRANCE (that needs to be in all caps) HOLY FRICK it hits so hard. Astounding. I love how you have it like. Wreathing out of the hole. 

Love the little like. Second of people in arceus clothing walking around this huge metal behemoth. Not only does it draw attention to the differences it also highlights just how unnatural ingo feels here (also Ingo’s GUI having a little joke jendndnnfnf (online, naturally) yeah. Yeah he would.) 

The hug. I smile every single time I watch it. They are so happy!!! Emmet just picking ingo up like Nothing. Having that moment of being able to squabble and Hug for the last time… it’s. Bittersweet. (Reminds me of Kiki’s delivery service and the last time her dad picks her up…) 

And that moment of fear… emmet not wanting info to go through with it… like, yeah he got a bit bigger but Ingo will change So Much and that’s Terrifying and you drew it So Well. Ana the little. Last smile over his shoulder only to Explode not a second later. Ough. Changing into someone so Different and Incomprehensible and just that frame of ingo looking Down and emmet and emmet looking so, so far up at ingo. It’s. Like. If it were Anything Else that would be a frame from a horror movie. 

But then that incomprehensible strength is Immediately just Cut Down (like Ingo’s memories connected that moment of terror from emmet and the moment before his entrapment. Which. H.) and the!!! Escape as emmet haplessly watches from the escape pod… unable to reach ingo… watching his his brother summons the power of god (???!!!) to freaking PUMMEL this thing. And ougggh I Really wanted to know what happens there- how much energy into had to use that emmet felt it too. 

Ingo’s core beating as emmet watches from the shore and trying to figure out what to do… lancenton reassuring him, letting him rest as he (and everyone after) do their best to help them… aughhhhh. After helping everyone for so long, finally they get reassurance when they need it most. 

And then the final freaking blow with the. Ingo glitching out and just. Stopping. Fantastically done. The art is amazing. The effects are stunning. This is going to take over my thoughts for the rest of the week. I’m on the floor. /pos

I'm gonna go through a lightning round really quick because you've noticed a bunch of stuff that no one else has pointed out yet

This is the part that annihilates me the most about the entire animatic probably. Hey. Hey. The video cuts to black. The video fades in from black. It's a perfect loop. How many times do you think he's done this same thing

I will be real, this is probably my favorite moment in the animatic. At least from a visual/animatic standpoint. There are other story moments that are higher on the list for me but gigantamax giratina I think is the part that turned out looking the coolest no doubt

When I have more time and energy please remind me to tell you about Ingo's systems because they are so fascinating and complicated. Essentially: He has backup in regards to processing information. Separate trains of thought that run parallel to him, and both are him and are not. Fun shit. That joke is for ingo and emmet and ingo's systems only essentially

The frame of Emmet holding Ingo hoisted over his shoulders is my favorite frame in the animatic. Others might be more beautiful or emotional or intense, but that one is the one that feels most like a window into their real life outside of their blessings from Arceus. For a brief moment, they get to be two young adult stupid boys rough-housing now that one of them is taller than the other. They're just kids (i say, referring to people my age as kids (I am in my early twenties)) Arceus should have let them continue to be idiots for a little while longer before giving Ingo his blessing. Would have done wonders for their mental health /silly

And that moment of fear… emmet not wanting info to go through with it…

Now that Emmet has received his blessing, this isn't just a moment of hesitation. This is his brain starting to fill in for missing information. This is the moment when Emmet starts to fully realize exactly what is going to happen to him and how much it will change him. This is dawning dread.

This observation actually took me out the moment I read it. I got so excited about it I immediately ran off to show my friends. Saying that in any other context that would be from a horror movie has been haunting me all day. And you're completely correct. Hence the Me Dying about it. I literally couldn't have put it better myself, that is the perfect way to describe that moment.

But then that incomprehensible strength is Immediately just Cut Down

Again, devastated me with the phrasing, 100% perfect way to articulate that moment and I am crying

Surely this will have no negative consequences on his long-term mental health when he spends the next three hundred years completely isolated at the bottom of the sea

I Really wanted to know what happens there- how much energy into had to use that emmet felt it too. 

Great! I can explain! It was a combination of 1. Summoning his power to go full-size into Active Threat mode (He was caught off guard by the jellicent attacking, they didn't know there were still dynamax pokemon left) 2. He is already low energy from residual stuff (it's been a month or two since the final giratina fight and Ingo's primary energy source is dynamax energy. Hasn't been a lot of that around) 3. Adrenaline (Fight or Fight time baby) 4. Desperation (all of the previous factors + not being able to keep the crew (emmet) physically safe from the attack (ghost type draining moves attacking the human crew through the hull, think giga drain type stuff going on)) 5. This is the most important one and why Emmet is panicked even worse than before: ✨Recoil moves✨ in the original script it was wood hammer but that's dumb and makes no sense. It's Wild Charge reflavored to look like Hammer Arm.

Ingo is using an attack that is inherently going to have a pretty bad kickback, he's already in a bad physical state, he's just used a shit ton of reserve energy he can't afford by switching to Active Threat mode, he's got turbo adrenaline stopping him from thinking about anything except Fight, Win (this is why he needs the help of a pilot on occasion), and he's making a desperation play in an attempt to end the fight as soon as possible.

The good news is that he gets a full recharge from winning the fight and the residual dynamax energy in the area after the battle also helps set him up really well. The downside is that now he's pretty damn injured and has the entire weight of the ocean on top of him so he can't really get out of this situation alone.

No one else has pointed out Ingo's core yet! Here's an added bonus: It stops beating over the frames as Emmet's time awake starts coming to a close. 👍 I'm so normal

Laventon reassuring him, letting him rest as he (and everyone after) do their best to help them… aughhhhh. After helping everyone for so long, finally they get reassurance when they need it most. 

After everything, that was exactly what Emmet needed. The reassurance that their work was not for nothing, that the pain and the loneliness and the struggle was overcome by community and union and respect. And compassion. Noteworthy: Ingo and Emmet's parents are also still alive by the end of the war, so they are also there to reassure him in his last month, comfort him, and tell them how proud they are, how much they believe that he and Ingo will be okay again someday soon. They'll make sure of it. (This is a recent addition to the story so I wanted to make sure that got put in there.)

This wasn't in the animatic because I really don't want to try to think of a design for ingo and emmet's parents, so many people have done really good jobs already and I had neither the time nor energy to do them justice skdjghsdhg so laventon the parental surrogate got the focus in the animatic. Also makes the animatic more accessible to fandom because we're not throwing OCs into the emotional core moments. (I love OCs and I have nothing against people who use OCs (there are a bunch of them in mecha au already) I just know it makes it harder to emotionally connect with an out of context plot)

Mainly i just didn't want to make designs for them, I feel like I'd accidentally make them look silly and ruin the moment with how short notice the animatic was. (dynamax ninetales, giratina, and jellicent were all designs i slapped together as i was drawing them. Ninetales particularly did not turn out how I wanted)

This is going to take over my thoughts for the rest of the week. I’m on the floor. /pos

WE ARE ON THE FLOOR. I AM ON THE FLOOR ALSO. This animatic has haunted my brain for two full years and it's insane to me that it actually exists in a form people can see. It takes me a long time to make each frame so making animatics, especially long ones like this, is rarely even feasible for me. I am so glad you've enjoyed it and I hope you continue to enjoy it for a while! This is the most succinct version of the first half of mecha AU I can tell. ....Until I remake it. Which will happen as soon as I learn how to make high quality 3D models and get a handle on 3D animation. This is just the beginning

jaeyun absolutely adores just simply existing in the same space as you - often times you two stay in the same room without exchanging a single word because your work loads are too occupying.

jaeyun loves to be around you in those times, but he loves even more when there's no distractions. no work or group chats blowing up or emails to check off. simply just you and him in the seclusion of his room (after he's kicked minho out, of course).

you'd spend most of your time together watching films or shows, taking time out of your schedule to watch when either of you were able to visit the other.

more often than not, you'd end up falling asleep next to him (its okay, he fell asleep too).

half of his body would be thrown over yours once you woke up, his temple pressed to your chest as your fingers instinctively began to run through his hair. jaeyun lived for moments like these with you.

plus, you both falling sleep mid-way through the film only gave a better excuse for you to visit again - its a win-win for everyone! (except minho, who just wants to be in his room).

he'd like to be inside with you whenever possible - for both reasons of his job and for his own preference.

does everything in his power to make sure you are comfortable with him 100% of the time, even if that means having absolutely NO ONE in the dorms when you visit, drawing closed the blinds and making sure no one sees you together, he’ll do what he can.

jaeyun strikes me as the type to prefer your hands being held or have his bicep resting on your shoulder so he can rub his thumb along your nape soothingly.

with how often myungho can be seen being physically affectionate with his members, it's hard to believe he wouldn't be that way with his s/o!

if anything, he'd be even more affectionate towards you. whether its an arm around your neck, hand holding yours, or his chin on your shoulder when he hugs you from behind, he absolutely loves connecting with you in such a way.

one of his favorite ways to show his love is by playing with your hands. its such a simple act that can be done mindlessly, but to myungho, there's more thought in such an action.

he loves to intertwine your fingers with his just to undo them, taking one of your hands in both of his and tracing over your knuckles and nails, the tip of his index finger following the lines in your palm before closing your hand between his.

when you hold hands, he prefers to have his thumb on the outside of yours so he can swipe over your skin smoothly. if you were to copy that action on him, he'd be the happiest man ever.

on days where its a bit more taxing for you both or you are unable to see each other for a long period of time or maybe your schedules just don't line up, he'd do his best to make sure you know he's thinking of you.

things like: if you say you're hungry, he'll immediately open a delivery app and order your favorite take out for you, the full meal at your doorstep within the hour (he'd pay an extra fee if it meant it got to you quicker).

of course, you'd do the same for him when given the opportunity, and it makes him happy knowing you'd go the same lengths to help him that he would for you :]

he's always so smiley :( you could be doing the most mundane things and he'd just stare lovingly at you. even once you've caught him, he doesn't say anything.

you're so mesmerizing to him without even realizing it. even if its just him scrolling on his phone across from you while you study, he loves every second of it. he loves being able to look up past his screen and see you so concentrated, not knowing he's even admiring you.

minho knows you'd likely turn your face away bashfully if you knew he was staring, so the fact he only had to move his eyes in this position is definitely a bonus.

even if you caught him staring, his eyes would be so full of love that you couldn't even be mad at him.

something he was a bit more shy to do was express his admiration to you verbally. . . but that's not the case when it comes to text messages or notes!!

you'd rarely have a morning without a message from him encouraging you for the day. messages during your time away were somewhat common as well (if he was able to find in between his own schedule to send them).

minho would never miss a chance to wish you a goodnight, telling you how proud he is of you for pushing through the day!

when he gets the chance to visit you, he'd leave notes for you on your desk or in your bag. under your pillow or stuck on your fridge or counter.

minho's secret time! he's unsure if you've ever found it, but he put all of his feelings onto a sticky-note (well, all the feelings that could fit on there) and put it in your phone case. if you ever did find it, you never brought it up.

minho felt what he said was a bit cheesy - too lovey-dovey, but its how he felt about you, so he doesn't regret it all too much. if his members ever knew what he wrote, he'd never hear the end of it.

if you've read any of my other headcannons with yoonsung, you'd know the yoonsung-matching-with-s/o conversation is one i speak on a lot!!

yoonsung thinks every moment he shares with you is precious - he likes to make memories with you even through the most mundane of tasks.

if you're cleaning together, he'd be sure to have music playing and sing throughout the entire ordeal (the mini concert you get is a reward for all of your work).

he'd also love to try new recipes with you! finding whatever either of you had lying around/left over and trying to make something delicious . . . it works out about half the time - but you both have fun nonetheless!

yoonsung (i've said it twice but here's a third time) loves the idea of making bracelets with his s/o :( he finds the elastic string with colorful beads the most fun - you get to make them for each other so you'll always have a piece of one another with you :")

he's usually slower than you too 😭 wanting to make sure everything is aligned nicely and that it isn't too loose or too tight on your wrist.

if you express you're not too fond of jewelry, he knows how to work with that, too. whether that's buy buying matching shirts or a pair of shoe laces or simply giving you a few of his favorite sweaters, he'll find a way for you to have part of him with you wherever you go.

he loves spending time with you and it doesn't matter too much to him what you do together. if you wanna go see a movie or have a meal outside, he's down! or if you want to take a rest day with your boyfriend and stay indoors, he is more than happy to oblige.

if you're into keeping up with shows, he's gonna be there to watch them with you whether you're together or miles away! it's always nicer to have someone to talk about them with and its even better when they show the same amount of interest and enthusiasm as you do.

thinks little displays of affection can be just as powerful as the bigger ones, and with both of your busy schedules, he does whatever he can to make sure you know how much he appreciates you :]

⁰⁰⁵ : HAEMIN.

quality time. physical affection.

unlike myungho, haemin is much more reserved with his physical affection. he's not a huge fan of pda and typically gets shy when he tries to initiate it.

but his lack of initiation does not mean he doesn't enjoy it! he prefers to keep that kind of affection in the privacy of the dorm (and its not like he can show it outside of the dorm at this point in his career anyways).

but on the rare occasions you're both able to meet outside the dorm - hoods pulled over your heads and masks on your face - he becomes a bit more bold.

reaching for your hand across the table at whatever shop you decided to meet at and interlocking your fingers. joining your arms together as you walk down the sidewalk, enjoying the day together. he lives for the quieter displays of affection.

not because he isn't proud to be with you - he feels the happiest he's ever felt at this point in his life. but he understand with his occupation it gets a bit tough, and the last thing he wants is to jeopardize your safety. so for now, you'll remain behind the scenes for just a little while longer.

spending time together is a difficult task to plan, but you make do with the time you do get and spend it in the best way you can.

because of haemin's reserved nature, he enjoys being indoors with you a lot. catching up on shows or watching a movie is simple but one of his favorites - it allows him to relax and escape from his hectic schedule for a while, and that all becomes even better when he gets to do that with you!

maybe you have to study for an exam or tackle some project for work, even if he has absolutely no idea how to help you, he'll be by your side (or in the next room if you request for him to) making sure you don't push yourself too much and that you take a break once you need it.

he shows his love and admiration in the softer ways - ways he's reserved only for you to see and for you to receive.

⁰⁰⁶ : KYUNGMIN.

kyungmin, similar to haemin, enjoys displaying his love for his s/o in more subtle ways. placing his hand on the corner of the table if you dropped something, putting the straw to your drink in first before his own, or making sure you have enough charge on your phone before you go anywhere are just to name a few things.

he never wastes an opportunity to tell you how much he appreciates you as his s/o.

kyungmin strikes me as the type to Not Care about about his idol image when it comes to being in a relationship LOL

if one day you're out and someone recognizes him, he'd do his best to make sure your face is covered from whatever cameras might have sprung up.

at the very least, he wants to make sure you're safe. pulling your jacket collar over your face, taking off his hat and putting it on you, rushing to use a mask or simply pulling you to his chest and making you walk backwards . . . he's ready to go to whatever lengths to protect your identity.

his career would never stop him from bringing you around - he's not too fond of the idea of keeping everything private all the time, but that's not to say he isn't cautious when and where he needs to be.

for the times when your schedules just don't line up the best, he will never go a night without talking with you.

whether that's accidentally falling asleep on call with one another, a simple goodnight text to let you know he's drifting off while thinking of you, or something in between, he makes sure you know you're on his mind.

most days he wakes up earlier than you, so that means almost every morning without fail, you'll wake up to messages from kyungmin.

anything ranging from what he's eating for breakfast to how much he misses you to what his schedule is for the day. . . if he doesn't talk to you he feels this unwavering weight on his shoulders from guilt.

always wishes you a good morning :( sometimes popping in a cheesy "hope you dreamt of me ♡" before he has to shut his phone off for some hours.

he can easily tell when you're stressing out and when a burn-out is creeping up. he's the first to tell you to take a break and regain your energy slowly rather than force work out of you.

while at the time you may feel like you need to cram, you know listening to his advice will always prove to be more fruitful. which results in many praises. "i love you, and i love how ambitious you are, but taking care of yourself comes first, okay?"

ok so i actually played through keir's ch 2 last night (i watched a playthrough 1st) and i did cirrus's bad end (the stabby one) and i.

y'know when you're following a story and your brain is putting the pieces together and filling in the gaps and you're like ok i see where this is going now! i see what cirrus is doing yeahyeahyeah i GOT IT. then you actually play through it and you're like ummm maybe. maybe i don't exactly know what's going on and i'm. a little scared actually (/pos)

i was thinking. ok obv cirrus is creating lunar ichor in vesper! that's confirmed that's clear. but what the fuck is he going to do with them....... at first i was like okay maybe he's doing all this ritual shit in some twisted way to create a "god" out of vesper (or himself?) since he's so culty. but then keir ch 2 and thorn and i think back to cirrus's ties with ark and human trafficking and um. i can't rlly figure out his motive anymore??!?

like is he going to turn us into an ichor bloodbag and sell our shit true blood style. (does the ichor host have to die?? it's sorta implied they do but??? can vesper be an unlimited resource of ichor if he keeps them alive???) or is the lunar ichor just for himself? or is he doing this to actually help vesper and he's gonna push them only until they're cured? because if so then his route is the best for vesper lmao

like is he evil or just a lil fucked up. that's where i'm divided. if vesper gets to be too much of a hassle, he disposes of them. so yeah he has this possessive attachment to vesper but he's also totally capable of severing that tie himself if it'll serve him better. and i can't figure out if he's even capable of loving someone? (but what is love. at the end of the day)

Just him having more like cat-like sort of behaviors before it gets dark out on a day a full moon js supposed to happen, Ghost can't really help that he's hissing at anything that bothers him but it's slightly embarrassing.

But werecat!ghost is just like a big house cat, not really able to talk so he'll just meow and stare up at anyone with those big ole eyes.
