Okay!!! Finally (Finally, this has been months in the making and redone several times) I made a lineup of my Iterator designs!!! They're done and I'm really happy with them.
Misc headcanons under the cut
All: Asexual, Trans
Looks To The Moon: She/Her, Demiromantic Lesbian
Five Pebbles: He/Him, Greyromantic MLM
No Significant Harassment: They/Sometimes He, Aromantic
Seven Red Suns: They/Them, Demiromantic Bi
Moon and NSH are both Gen 1. NSH was Moon’s first junior and friend, and they are extremely close because of it.
Suns is early Gen 2 and was created by a particularly aesthetically inclined group, resulting in their slightly more ornate clothing.
Pebbles is put off by NSH’s humor, thinking that if they’re a Gen 1, then shouldn’t they act like it?
NSH’s humor is actually sourced from their life experience. They’re relatively comfortable with themself and know how to see the bright side in most situations. (Moon’s collapse not being one of them. They were completely devastated; even moreso once assigned Senior in her stead.)
Moon loves Pebbles and wants him to be happy and healthy. He thinks she’s too overbearing, but loves her too deep down.

drop the second iteration of ivantill lore please
Buckle up buttercup because this is not going to be a happy story. It’s not even going to be a ‘sweetly tragic in a hot yaoiful sense’ story. It’s just what it is.
For the uninitiated: the first iteration of IvanTill was incorporated into the beach scene that I’m certain the majority of fans have seen by now (if not, you can see a glimpse of it on this post or just check out Ivan’s page on the wiki). The storyboards were drawn up by Qmeng as far as Round 3 during its production phase.
However, it was drastically changed in the second draft. Qmeng and Vivinos most likely wanted to explore different variations of tragic relationships because they mentioned the first iteration ‘overlapped too much with MiziSua.’ So, they decided to focus more on the toxic aspect of their relationship and the one-sidedness of it.
Cue second iteration.
Ivan is a lot more sinister. He uses his knowledge of Till’s trauma to intentionally provoke him, and it works. Till gives a rage-induced performance that assures his victory.
But much to his horror, it’s exactly what Ivan wanted. Everything occurred exactly as he planned. And through a set of flashbacks, it is revealed that their whole lives, Ivan saw Till as a plaything he could puppet to his will, and he did. He got him into trouble on purpose. He got him hurt on purpose. All because Till was something he believed he owned.
The ending to Round 6 wouldn't be tragic because Ivan couldn’t convey his feelings properly. It would’ve been tragic because Till was never able to break out of Ivan’s control. He was never able to escape his grasp.
In other words: “Till looks down at Ivan’s body and despairs, realizing he will never escape from the burning red sky and the falling meteor (Ivan).” (literally quoted from the draft)
And then the third iteration happened, the one we all know and love, and it’s more like a combination of the two. A lot of Ivan’s actions were left vague specifically because Q & V wanted it like that. They said it themselves, Ivan wasn’t certain of his own feelings for Till, what was their nature and how deep they went. That’s why he fumbled so badly. He had no idea, so neither will we.

more reigen is dead and a ghost now sillies ft. mob all grown up. a couple other things under the cut
bonus older (~40s) mob bc im happy w her design. luckily her and reigen's designs just came out of the pen pretty naturally not many iterations necessary. mob's felt like a natural progression from my ~24 y/o design, and i kinda feel like reigen never really changes up his look, he just. ages. he's gonna be wearing a pink tie when he's like 80 (well, i mean not in this au, but, yknow). im kind of dreading designing the others.. i think tome should be pretty easy i have a fairly clear vision of her in my mind but i;m not so sure about serizawa. i know im gonna give him a beard though. others may come into this eventually if i get the ideas for it . i feel like designing older shou would be fun in particular
Tumblr media
anyways. this sort of started cus i wanted to make an 'intro' comic to the au besides the post i already have, but i couldnt figure out a good way to get what i had in mind to a comic.. basic 'story so far' is that while off on a job at like.. ive had it as a parking garage in my mind for some reason. anyways, reigen serizawa and tome* out on a job, you know the story from the other post, reigen falls down some concrete stairs REAL badly, bonks his head right on the edge of one, beefs it.
(*tome at this point has her own job stuff going on- Professional Ufologist Babeeey you KNOW she's gotten interviewed for ancient aliens. BUT she still does stuff with s&s when she can.)
he comes to kind of gradually, like, feels like he's been walking for half an hour but onl having just become aware of it. he doesn't realize he's dead for a bit, just kind of feels 'floaty' and not-quite-there, with a vague awareness that Something Has Gone Wrong. he keeps walking, unable to remember what he was just doing, and finds himself drawn to mob's place, and fully realizes Something Is Super Wrong when he tries to knock on the door and his hand goes right through. meanwhile on the other side of town serizawa and tome are having a supremely bad time. things'll settle down when everyone learns reigen's not Entirely Gone but it's Not good at the moment
(also, something im not sure yet how to resolve is that tome wouldnt be able to see reigen?? hes a very weak spirit so hes not visible to your average non-esper and i dont know if he'd even be able to possess anyone either (in the sense that tome could see dimple after being possessed by him).)
also so imprtant to me that mob has a cat that's very important

Wakfu Manga - Tome 3, Part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He really is way too cute for his own good.
Tumblr media
And also he is way too funny. I hope he never stops stating the most batshit insane things after dangerous situations with an emotionless face. It's too much,,,
Tumblr media
Your reminder that this map is gay.
@dullard hey you were passionate about this months ago while I was still liveblogging Aux Tresors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's just sitting there. cutely.
Tumblr media
He's interested in Yugo's wellbeing. Also, his nose is really weird in this panel dfgjksdfg.
Tumblr media
It seems that being close to Zinit makes Yugo and Adamai feel better. Joris seems pretty interested in this info — in a very genuine way. He likes learning.
Tumblr media
HIS CUTE LITTLE GLOVED HAND....
Tumblr media
I have so much to say here...
Cats always land on their paws, hehe.
Joris needs to be the coolest person on the train that badly?
Genuinely, living in a shushu house, Joris is probably used to these levels of turbulence.
Tumblr media
Always thinking about "You should follow the example of Master Joris!" [Joris is doing the exact same shit as them like a wild animal, except he's good at not being caught]
Tumblr media
He was SO scared of being found out and how it would damage his reputation and the way they view him as a person. It's so funny.
Tumblr media
L;iterally sleeping in a pillowcase like a little cat or a little bug.
Tumblr media
Waking up so cute and woozy. Sorry im insane.
Tumblr media
This manga feeds me so well. He looks so good here...
Tumblr media
The art is so, so good.
Tumblr media
The chapter ending on this art is like a gay little treat just for me.
Tumblr media
Once again, Joris is the only one doing somewhat OK during turbulence.
Tumblr media
He's not having a good time, though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone hit by this becomes high as a kite, as we will see in a second.
Maybe this is the real reason why black flame dragons are like that. Maybe they're just perpetually a little bit high.
Joris was also there, and hit by this stuff and I will not be silenced on the funniest Joris moment of the entire series, and the way everyone brushes it off as Pinpin's hallucination.
Tumblr media
Yes I think him being a cat is Pinpin hallucinating. However. However.. I do think Joris was licking his balls and also hallucinating being a cat too.
Being a cat is simply his internal nature.
Tumblr media
I don't know what to say other than pointing out that Adamai and Yugo have used stasis magic together here — which I think is the first instance of Yugo dabbling in that, pre-season 4.
Tumblr media
Joris is drawn so well here... Also, he's so casual for a man that was licking his balls and meowing just a little while ago. How time flies <3
Tumblr media
Joris in the corner, glowering and holding one strap of his backpack. fgjsfdg.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even though he's blunt to the point of rudeness here, he does seem worried about Justice.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No commentary, I'm just enjoying his presence in the manga. sdfgjksdfg

NOSTALGIC MEDIA CROSSOVER TIME!!! I have been so looking forward to this prompt. as I first put it on the list I knew that I’d be doing the first one of these, but upon sitting down to draw it I decided to do some more for the fun of it which is why im so late lmao
so, here’s Argos and Mr Plant drawn in my best approximation of the artstyles of shows I grew up on. all of these meant so much to me at one point or another and I still hold so much fondness for them :)
Monster High
Tumblr media
I cannot hazard a guess at how many times I watched Monster High growing up. I adored the webseries so much even though the episodes were only, what, two minutes long? and I watched pretty much all those original movies. you will never catch me watching the remakes cause you cannot improve on perfection.
anyway wouldn’t it be fun to see these guys at Monster High? I think Argos would thrive there. Mr Plant would probably murder so many of them for being overly friendly though. I also find the idea of him being Venus’ cousin or something so funny for no real reason.
Winx Club
Tumblr media
it is an unfortunate truth that the guys in winx club just did not look as good. the girls all had their stunning fairy designs and each went through so many iterations of their powers and designs as they reached new levels and the specialists were just… the specialists. but i still had to draw Argos and Mr Plant in their style cause I was BESOTTED with this show for so so long.
I was so dedicated to watching this series that I woke up early on school mornings and annoyed my parents into letting me eat my soggy coco pops sitting on the sofa so that I could watch the episodes when they came on the telly. it was definitely worth it <3
X-Men
Tumblr media
the abrupt shift from pretty cartoons aimed at preteen girls to X-Men is kinda funny to me but I was also in love with this series too. I’d watch it before bed most nights and I just loved it so much. I wanted to be Jubilee so badly (looking back on it now, as I am currently rewatching the series, uh… girlie was not having the best time but I just wanted to be around the X-Men who I adored and idolised) and had the BIGGEST crushes on Gambit, Storm and Wolverine (in that order). I’ve been saying Spiderman is my favourite superhero for years but I may have to change my mind to Wolverine looking back on things…
but yeah. Argos and Mr Plant. I can see them as mutants. I know the low-hanging fruit for Argos’ abilities is enhanced vision cause of all his eyes but I’m actually thinking he gives people visions or dreams (that can become obsessive) like the dream plant. as for Mr Plant, I am gonna be boring and just say plant-based powers cause it feels right for him.

thoughts on pjo series so far after episode 6:
(spoilers for ep 6 ahead!! minor spoilers for the books too but nothing much about the plot)
acting SLAYS. slays. i almost teared up like 3 times bc of percabeth in ep 4/5 ALONE. and sally!! and grover!!!! luke and clarisse too ugh!!!!
special effects SLAYYYY. the monsters look really good and just as i imagined, I’ll give them that.
sets and locations are also very accurately pictured and the vibes brought out are just like the book!
script sucks. the writing is soooo awkward most of the time and the conversation just does not flow well. it’s too serious and boring half the time and i can’t keep relying on the actor’s tones even if they’re doing well as child actors.
soooo much exposition in every single conversation my head is spinning. like i feel like there were better ways to contextualise info from the book?
i saw someone say this show could’ve been approached with a fleabag ish narration and while that sort of would be a bit unorthodox i feel like that or just having walker narrate over the top sometimes would’ve been a good way to nod to the books. it’s difficult to bring a first person series alive when the narrator has so much personality and stuff to say that affects descriptions and how we see it, but i think it could’ve been possible.
music is clunky sometimes in that like why r the vibes so heavy for nothing…. like when they were talking in the animal truck and when they were driving the taxi etc.
no action. like i don’t need it to be pumping out adrenaline all the time but they have fr barely done anything i’m sorry 😰 book trio would’ve ate them alive.
cutting grover out at the waterpark likeeee??? yeah maybe him w ares was important but also it was not. they could’ve gotten that info any other time without making him stay w ares.
lacking explanation where it matters. like the eeriness of the lotus casino and why there are people from all different eras. and their RESOURCES like they aren’t explaining where their money and clothes and stuff are like these kids are surviving off one backpack?? it reminds me of in a wrinkle in time (2018) how the kid’s shirt changes like every 10 minutes and it’s just never acknowledged.
speaking of the lotus casino it’s just so like… bland. they’re cutting out the best parts of the story. percy fighting the chimera was so underwhelming and the bus scene too!!! and the lotus casino like yeah ok let’s not promote drugs i guess but they could have and SHOULD have had fun. why did they waste that time on cgi for the roller coaster in the casino at all?? it wasn’t sinister enough bc the whole vibe of the show is just serious so there’s no contrast between them thinking they’ve found paradise and realising there’s something wrong. captured the vibe of the show tbh: they plateau along the middle line of fun and serious business instead of playing with it like the book does.
feels like the character relationships r poorly drawn out. i’ve already forgotten about the weak attempt to build a percy-luke friendship. and annabeth not letting grover talk to hermes in the casino felt badly explained. plus grover’s whole backstory?? why r we straying so far from how the books explained him like they’re separating him a bit toooo much from the others.
generally just too many plot changes like as much as there is good in this show there is also bad and we stray further and further from the plot every single episode (the SOLSTICE WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TIME PRESSURE??).
it’s somehow too low stakes and too serious at the same time. like they’re acting like the stakes are high but i’m not feeling the pressure.
i understand it’s a new iteration and an adaption almost never means it’ll be the same, but that doesn’t mean i like all the changes. i guess there’s probably tonnes of reasons why book to screen adaptions always change so much (actually harry potter and tbosas ate tbh but oh well), and in this case it’s been many years since pjo was released, so rick is just taking that chance to rewrite things as he would if he wrote the books now. and i accept that. but these are just my opinions and some of these things are just plain bad choices for a show 😭
but i do still hope it gets picked up for all 5 seasons + heroes of olympus like i’ll give u all my money i’ll watch it all i swear

Good Omens Season 3: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Sectumsempress1, Hag
Or that one time I watched Good Omens, felt the claws of hyperfixation sink into my flesh for the first time in years, re-watched Good Omens more times than I care to admit and then drowned in a mind palace of analysis and delusion, resulting in this season 3 predictions bingo card coupled with unnecessarily long explanations for each square.
I'm gonna post these explanations one or two squares at a time, and honestly my first theory (probably not mine, I'm sure others have also come to this conclusion) deserves its own post because wowee I'm insane about this one.
Let's talk about why I think Crowley may have been Jophiel or Jeremiel before they fell.
Tumblr media
I have seen endless theories about who Crowley could have been before The Fall; Lucifer, Barachiel, Raphael, Samael... and I see some evidence for all of these. However, I raise you;
Tumblr media
Great question babygirl.
Tumblr media
Okay me when I lie.
Yes, I took this throwaway line and went insane over it don't worry about it. Anyway. First J angel that I think could make sense is:
Jophiel "Beauty of God"
Jophiel is described in some texts as the guardian of wisdom and a teacher of languages to souls at the dawn of creation. She is also recognised as a teacher to Noah's children (specifically Shem) by C.E. Clement, Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa and Thomas Rudd.
Tumblr media
And yes I am aware this is post-Fall Crowley and not the angel they were, but it's interesting that Shem was mentioned specifically regardless. Neil has wounded me so, I just feel that nothing is unintentional. Anyway, any iteration of Crowley as a teacher just feels right based on all we've seen of them.
(How he acts with Muriel, answering Jim's questions, showing Jesus the kingdoms of the world.)
Jophiel is also heavily associated with beauty and creativity.
Tumblr media
Okay Mr. 'Pointedly Unusual Imagination.' Bit beautiful and creative of you.
Now here's where it gets buck wild. So Jophiel is not explicitly mentioned in the bible (in fact only Michael, Raphael and Gabriel are consistently mentioned) but scholars interpret Genesis 3:24 as referring to him.
"He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and aflaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life."
Yeah. It is widely agreed upon that Archangel Jophiel wielded the flaming sword and cast Adam and Eve out of Eden. Now, obviously, in Good Omens canon, Aziraphale did this. But... what if that wasn't the original plan? What if, after Jophiel and the others were cast out, the work rosters in Heaven had to be shuffled around a bit? And what if Aziraphale, having met this beautiful, curious starmaker so long ago took on their role himself?
What if Crowley and Aziraphale began the arrangement long before either of them had the words to understand what it was? All because the angel couldn't understand why he felt so drawn to the Fallen who couldn't remember.
(Edited because I've already come up with a new theory. I still stand by all of this and want it to be true so badly, but I think that Crowley does remember. I think Aziraphale is the one whose memory may have been tampered with. That doesn't change the core of the Jophiel theory, I just think that upon reflection, a personal relationship with Crowley is not what caused Aziraphale to take his old job.)
It also makes sense to then make Crowley the Serpent of Eden, if they had perhaps already planned to go to Eden anyway.
Jophiel is also widely known as Metatron's companion, which explains why he is so aggressive towards Crowley in a really cold, personal way. Yes, Metatron knows of everyone and everything so him knowing Crowley's story isn't odd in itself. But the glare...
Tumblr media
To me, this reads as "I know you. I've known you. I know exactly what you're capable of and I will not take it. Not again. Behave." It's like a glare a parent would give their toddler for misbehaving in public. It feels pointedly personal. Almost as though they've worked together in the past in a way that ended badly for Metatron and he is on high alert to ensure it doesn't happen again.
Tumblr media
Again here. Metatron doesn't speak about Crowley in a general 'all fallen angels suck' sense. It's personal. His choice of words, the tone, everything points to him having been personally wronged by the angel Crowley was.
Also just look at Jophiel's goddamn curly little red hair are you kidding me right now Neil Gaiman I am in your WALLS.
Tumblr media
Also some more fun facts: Jophiel is shown as male and female presenting, leads people to a deeper understanding of the beauty of the universe, is regarded as an angel of wisdom, is known to protect those who seek truth, battles against forces of darkness and ignorance... and is strongly associated with the colour yellow.
Tumblr media
Nice eyes babe.
Anyway, I am so delulu about this specific theory because if it is true it would show Aziraphale and Crowley's grand cosmic connection in a way that is honestly just ineffable.
But however much I long for Jophiel to be it... there is also some evidence for it being:
Jeramheel/Jeremiel "God shall have mercy"
In religious texts, Jeremiel is known as the angel who presides over true visions, often appearing in dreams and visions to bring truth. He appears to decipher Baruch's visions and give him a tour of heaven in the book '2 Baruch', and God sends him to answer the prophet Ezra's questions regarding the apocalypse in the book '2 Esdras'.
He also served as an angel of death, watching over and guiding souls to heaven and helping them learn from their earthly experiences.
This again goes back to Crowley's belief that everyone has the right to answers and being a good teacher because of that. It would make sense for them to have had this role in their angelic days as well, despite it eventually coming back to bite them.
Tumblr media
Jeremiel is often depicted with a book or a scroll, symbolising the importance of knowledge.
Also, while Zadkiel is known as the angel of forgiveness and mercy, many people also consider Jeremiel (god shall have mercy) in this role... which would make Aziraphale's constant attempts to forgive him and his insistence that he is unforgivable even more devastating, and why I have ongoing theories about a role reversal occurring when it comes to this theme of forgiveness (more on this later).
Right. So I am obviously clutching at my delusion of it being Jophiel, but Jeremiel is a wider known angel with more canonical basis for actually being an archangel, which is why he also makes a lot of sense to me.
Thank you for joining me in this downward spiral into insanity. Look forward to part two!

Pebbles complains to Suns that he is angry with the Benefactors for having "left us here", and that that anger makes him less inclined to keep trying to solve their Problem. It isn't fair, he says. Suns tells him that there are only two options: keep trying or do nothing. Pebbles reminds him that they do die of old age. Pebbles struggles to accept being a bug in the Benefactors' maze.
In a closed Sliverist group, an anonymous user decries Sliver of Straw for breaking the self-destruction taboo, making her a "traitor to the cause". The anonymous user is kicked from the group for being a troll, but Pebbles questions why the self-destruction taboo is held in such high regard when Sliver of Straw is dead, he questions why they "leave this path untrod".
When Chasing Wind confronts the local group that someone is trying to cross himself out, they say "he's not looking for the same thing as we are anymore; he's changed his task"
"What if there is no universal solution? What if perception is, in fact, existence, and when Sliver of Straw sent the triple affirmative, it wasn't a mistake? What if crossing oneself out, or even just death is the way? We need to consider the possibility"
Moon distracted Pebbles at the worst possible moment, when he was so close to successfully producing the genome he needed to circumvent the self-destruction taboo (to do what? immediately kill himself? continue research into global ascension?)
-
So... Self-destruction is traitorous behavior, it betrays the Benefactors by deliberately circumventing the limits they placed. Pebbles resents the Benefactors for giving him a task he doesn't believe can be solved and then leaving them all to just figure it out on their own while they slowly die. he describes himself as an "unwilling gift".
in my opinion, his goal was to offer up the option of suicide to other iterators, just present the option to exit existence on their own terms, rather than whenever was convenient for the Benefactors. He cares a lot about other iterators, their plight in general. If his goal were just suicide, I don't think he would have attempted to rid himself of his rot. It's clearly an agonizing way to die. Anyone who has been suicidal to the point of researching methods will tell you they avoid methods which are drawn out and painful, but, in Moon's words, "we don't die easy". Rot is clearly not a brand new concept either, since Chasing Wind tells Suns that "[Five Pebbles] got the rot, badly". Rot and insufficient water may be some of the only reliable ways to kill an iterator, and surely if all he wanted was death, he could have simply accepted that it was this way or no way, but instead he tried to flush it out, he took the difficult route, to find a method that is, if you'll excuse me, possible, portable, and generally applicable (for iterators).
The Downpour authors seem to be more or less on my same wavelength.... Pebbles says to Artificer, "It was clear to me, and few others what this meant. Sliver of Straw had opened the door for us, we only needed to reject the restrictions of our creators to follow her. If only they could see that!" ... 'To prove her signal wasn't just coincidence'. Dont feel like reading the wiki anymore though its been two hours

this my redraw of an old sketchbook oc! her name is alice! she was one of those ocs that i planned to be in a story but i never got around to making it an actual thing (look i made as a dumb stupid baby child). since it wasnt actually properly written down or planned out, it was really vague, the most i remember of it was like "the darkness is dangerous and evil and it's corrupted the world, take this lantern and go stop it". well truthfully that lantern was only ever used by this other character named sparrow, who was this ordinary ass bird with shitty emo bangs and the personality of a bootleg toriel. but i'm pretty sure alice was meant to have it when she and sparrow serperate and im not gonna use sparrow anyways, if i need anyone to take that role i'd make a new character for that, so alice gets to have the lantern all to herself. that sinister doodle on the right is kind of a concept doodle for what her nycto/dark form would be like. because OF COURSE she had one, i was an edgelord back then, of course id do this edgy shit! pretty sure it was sort of a bad ending outcome sort of deal. in this iteration im making it a part of the main canon, as here she's meant to be a fallen hero, a champion of light who failed her task. the lantern, once the symbol of light and hope, is now a vessel for the darkness embedded into her. (i never said i STOPPED being an edgelord :P )
and just for funsies, i'll share the old art, bc why not (warning there's some body horror (badly drawn and made by a high schooler, but still) so if you dont like seeing mutilation or characters having too many eyes (tm), then dont look any further)
ah yes, the ONE time alice herself holds dat lantern. also was not kidding about sparrow's design being bland and basic (also gotta love how even back then i had a thing for drawing cloaks/capes. some things never change :P )
Tumblr media
i still think these are kinda cute, maybe i'll redraw the top one one day
Tumblr media
ugh, alice having anything but dot eyes is so weird for some reason... also was not kidding about sparrow being discount bird toriel, that was the ONE bit of characterization i gave her, no other concept to work off of really
Tumblr media
eh not much to say here :/
Tumblr media
a bunch of nycto form concepts. yeah the only consistent thing for that was darkness and/or edginess
Tumblr media
more nycto forms. also sparrow got in on the fun :P
Tumblr media
moar edge! now with less limbs!

I am…so behind on the game so apologies if you’ve answered something like this or made a post on it, but do you have any thoughts on durge emrys and what effect that has on their oath? 👀
oh gosh you're so sweet to ask! thank you!! SCREAMING. and sorry for getting back late, I just sat down!
SO. emrys in her "canon" path is an oath of devotion, and without getting to into it essentially her personality is extreme in the formats of, well. devotion, religion, honor, justice vs revenge, what she believes is right vs what she was taught vs what impulses tug at her. her selfhood is tied up in if she can be tyr's #1 boy as of now and she CANNOT, so ultimately her arc surrounds her truly beginning to find autonomy and her own sense of self while keeping her oath, because she still believes in it, but what it means to her and how she executes it. lots of autonomy within faith + autonomy learned as you leave your blind faith behind and.
ANYWAYS. okay. sorry. I said I wouldn't get into it. but dark urge emrys is an oath of vengeance and it's fun because she truly becomes just.............. a dark mirror of what Canon Emrys' deepest, ugliest impulses are. to be violent, to execute revenge and retribution to the fullest point of it. to relish in battle with beings higher than you because you do want to strike them down. all of that is within emrys either way, but durge really brings it to the forefront and makes that the conflict, because she is both pulled toward it and grappling with the self-disgust of some of the urges (not all of them--some, she gives into easily.) whereas all of this is fully repressed in Normal Emrys. also. Durge Spoilers Alert ->
durge emrys CAN become bhaal's #1 boy, the thing emrys has always craved most of all in every iteration of herself -- the recognition of the divine, and the idea that she has pleased her god, has truly upheld the ideal of her oath, has become this empty vessel for which the divine to move through. but of course, it's all twisted and darkened here, and she's as repulsed as she is drawn into it, and so. .... .. whenever I get out of act 1 I can really get into the MEAT of that, because I dont know how she'll end up honestly. but Normal Emrys craved the 1v1 fight with Orin so badly, she wanted to STRIKE DOWN that EVIL so badly, in a way that was as Unexaminedly Bloodthirsty. so I'm sure she'll be even more normal about that when Orin is her fucked up weird??? sibling???

Caleb Widogast (Critical Role). undisputed favorite character in any piece of media, he’s my entire world. literally a perfect narrative story, an emotional character exploration of grief and found family and time itself. profoundly sad man but also filled with so much silly sweetness that makes the sadness even MORE painful. he's a friend, he's a lover, he's a pining man, he's of the empire but not a friend to the empire. he's MY boy, he's a magic man, he's trying to be the man his parents believed he could be. i can cry (and have cried) about him for hours on end but i’m not making this list any longer. ("hi caleb... how are you doing today?" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH)
Gale Dekarios (Baldur’s Gate 3). omg another sad wizard? sorry i have a type. wyll also belongs on this list but i’m hopelessly drawn to gale so i have to pick him. mama’s boy? cat dad? big wet eyes, a little suicidal and extremely devoted? i don’t know that i’ve clutched my heart harder than when i saw his act 2 romance scene for the first time. i think it also just pulls at my heartstrings that his relationship with tav is so showing of his kindness regardless of whether or not you romance him. even platonic gale is so ;-;
Ann Takamaki (Persona 5). i fought about putting yusuke or ryuji or even zenkichi but this spot has to go to ann because she's just so. perfect. the first arc of p5 is the BEST hands down and she's literally one of the biggest reasons why. the writers end up ruining her but the way she grows even in that first arc... her confidant scene with the line "i'm just a lonely, scared girl..." BREAKS ME. she's a treasure, she's strong and kind and wants to be a light for others while not giving up on the things that make her 'girly.' and her love for ryuji as best friends is one of my favorite dynamics ever.
Artemis (Hades). i love artemis in general, i grew an attachment during my greek mythology kid phase and never let go so i'm obsessed with every iteration of her in media. but artemis in hades has my favorite visual design in the game combined with her quiet sweetness :') and her willingness to have a family bond with zagreus because she's also an outcast who's overwhelmed by her other family members. and then to be a total badass of a goddess, ugh love her.
Katagawa Jr. (Borderlands). okay this one is funny because i honestly love katagawa as an OC more than canon... like canon treated him pretty badly and if it was based on that alone then august tftbl would be in this spot. but the POTENTIAL... ohhh the potential... youngest son born into the highest echelon of one of the most powerful companies in the galaxy, but to CEO parents who see them only as property?? and puts barcodes on the back of their necks?? and katagawa jr being the desperately lonely, attention-seeking son? don't get me started on him and naoko... genuinely my OC now. i took him from canon.
Julian Devorak (The Arcana). this one always embarrasses me to talk about because it's like a romance visual novel game. so let's make it quick. but julian is unironically such a good character, i'm a sucker for the way he loves his little sister more than anything in the world. also for being a silly pirate plague doctor who wants to help people, blames himself for a past he can't even remember, and trips over his own heels being so madly in love. the outfit and eyepatch too, 10/10.
Crona Gorgon (Soul Eater). the definition of 'nonbinary baby' LMAO- but seriously, i instantly fell in love with their design when i first watched. one of the best ever, including ragnarok's design being a part of them. being so powerful but so pained, just such a sad soul and it's so interesting to watch them on screen. i love a character that seems silly and awkward and then also can turn very scary/cool. brief shoutout to stein though, i almost put him on here instead because his design and fighting style are just peak >>
Mad Maggie (Apex Legends). my first ever apex love was horizon, but idk when maggie came out i just fell in love with her personality? she's SO funny to me. i also love her and fuse's backstory, and i think her tough attitude but capability of being kinda sweet as well is cute (although i genuinely just adore her as a mean character too. let women be meaner. she's funny and hot about it). her kit is also very fun even though i'm bad with it, i love riot drilling halfway across the map when i play her. her voice is 10/10 and even her theme music is banger.
Undyne (Undertale). undertale still has one of the greatest narratives in all of gaming history and i will die happily on that hill. sorry. undyne was always my girl, her being the badass knight (that everyone assumes is some scary guy), her theme music is still one of THE best video game songs ever. her design is amazing, finding out that she's papyrus's friend and that she's in love with alphys, her backstory with asgore. all amazing character beats. and that's not even mentioning the genocide run... "for the sake of the whole world... I, UNDYNE, WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN." ugh.
Prince Canute (Vinland Saga). gah i haven't even watched season 2 yet because i'm terribly behind. BUT. oh my god, i think canute's monologue in the snow in season 1 actually fundamentally changed my brain???? and the way that i think??? like i felt something crack within me. i actually gave a talk about that exact scene in an animation class i had once. anyways i loved watching him on screen and watching him change... watching him be so sad... not to mention his design is just very very pretty. can't wait to see my best friend canute in s2 i'm sure nothing bad will happen right.
tagging: @magnuficentwo @aliensmoothie and anyone else who wants to do it if you feel like it, no obligation :) i'm bad at the tagging part of tag games sorry!

Would say this is a new oc, but she is just the redesign/rework of an oc i have had for like 4 years.
Her name is Allison and she lives in a zombie apocalypse world, except the zombies are just really weak and fragile to the point you don't even need a gun or fast reflexes to kill one, just run up to it and wack it over the head or in the legs, the body is already so damaged that the zombie just won't get back up. If you hit it hard enough with something like a shovel you can just straight up decapitate it.
Another difference from probably a lot of other zombie type scenarios is that the infected area is a small country and is under quarantine while scientists and military try and figure out how to get the people out so they like nuke the country and literally the entire world knows that this is happening in this country. The trapped civilians are given supplies remotely because they are considered infected just as the whole country is and will have to themselves be quarantined in a special hospital once they are evacuated.
I know this world doesn't make sense but it's fun to me, especially since the previous iterations were a full blown apocalypse with near immortal zombies and then it went to a simulation ran by an alien race for some reason. Anyways-
Allison, She/Her

THUNDERSTRUCK
Tumblr media
From its first iteration at the time I got into the hobby many moons ago, through to the deadly looking version of the present day, I've been drawn to one Warhammer 40,000 vehicle more than any other. A versatile, rugged combat aircraft not only equipped with extremely heavy weaponry, but also capable of delivering a whole detachment of Space Marines into the heart of the enemy lines - the Thunderhawk Gunship captured my imagination like nothing else in the 40k universe. But how did we get here, and where am I going with this? Let's start at the beginning. (Although this great article on the Warhammer Community site covers the history of the model better than I ever will.)
The very first White Dwarf I owned featured a battle report for Epic, the game I was playing regularly at the time as a kid with my brother, and included a plucky little Blood Angels Thunderhawk that could. My brother soon ended up with his own tiny flying castle for his Space Wolves (this self same one pops up again later on).
Tumblr media
It was only a few issues of White Dwarf later, however, that my love for this gravity-defying box was sealed.
Tumblr media
Another Epic battle report, this time an Imperial Guard army fighting against Eldar. Included in this Imperial force - amongst the artillery, super-heavy tanks, titan, and lines of infantry - was an entire company of Space Marine Scouts and their transports, three Thunderhawk Gunships. The plan was for them to start off the board and drop in behind enemy lines and cause chaos. And boy, did they.
Tumblr media
Other than perhaps in Space Crusade, I wasn't really playing as Space Marines at the time. I played as Orks against my brother in Epic, and 2nd edition 40k (and my own Space Wolves army) was still a few months out, but this battle report really cemented how I thought about how they operated. A rapid-deployment strike force, dropping in and seizing crucial objectives from under the noses of their enemies.
During that era though, there was little chance of a Thunderhawk making an appearance outside of Epic, especially when a Land Raider was pretty much the biggest vehicle available at the time. There were, of course, exceptions...
Tumblr media
When I got back into the hobby a few years ago, the current resin Forge World Thunderhawk Gunship was still fairly new. I remember going to our very first community meetup at Warhammer World in 2018 and seeing it both soaring over various dioramas in the exhibition hall and, most tantalisingly, the built kit in the display cases in the Forge World shop. It looked incredible. I wanted one so badly, and there was no way I could afford one. It had become my holy grail model, and a pipe dream.
Tumblr media
Then, in April 2021, a built and primed 40k scale Thunderhawk Gunship popped up on eBay, for roughly the price of one brand new. It was ideal - the thought of prepping the resin, building it and priming it seemed like a nightmare to me - it looked like such a good deal, not that I could afford it. Thankfully someone else thought it was a good deal, and I was spared.
Not long after that, the plastic Thunderhawk for Aeronautica Imperialis was (superbly) teased, to be released a few months later. I played a demo game of AI at Warhammer World and was smitten, so I snapped up a copy of the game and a Thunderhawk of my very own. Turned out it was a little bit bigger than the original.
Tumblr media
I was still very much having Thunderhawk Thoughts though. The first Crusade game of 40k I ever played I themed my army around deploying from a Thunderhawk. With them being Sons of Morkai, I also had a name for that Thunderhawk as well from the very handy insert from the Deathwolf audio drama.
Tumblr media
And so we move on to February of this year. Someone in our community discord mentions buying a built Storm Eagle off eBay so, thinking of the one from a few years back, I idly do a search for Thunderhawk Gunships.
And there it is. The same one from 2021, still just primed, back up for sale. Dusty, and with a little bit of damage from where the previous seller shipped it to the current one. Put up for sale that very day. There couldn't be a better chance to finally own one.
Tumblr media
So I bought it.
A few days later a lovely man arrives in a van and hands me a big box with not just a chunky resin plane in it, but a custom wood and acrylic flight stand as well. I've no idea when I'm going to paint it, or even how I'm going to store it, never mind transporting it so I can play with it.
Tumblr media
Yes, it could be in better condition. Yes, the canopy could have been kept as clear plastic. But the upper wings go up and down, the heavy bolters move, the front hatch opens and shuts. It is solid. I definitely wouldn't have done a better job putting it together myself. My holy grail model. I'm absolutely made up.
