"Why'd he send you?"
Bruce asked bluntly, his Batman suit on with his gaggle of children evasdropping in the background not-so-subtly. I quirked an unamused eyebrow at the bulky man in front of me.
"It just so happens that I owed Constantine a favour. Do you want my help, or do you want to deal with your little demon friend all by yourself?"
Batman huffs an amused laugh. This is the best demonologist Constantine claims in the world? Red Robin asked Nightwing in a mutter,
"I'm not seeing things, am I?"
Apparently, he didn't think I'd hear him. I smirked as I turned my attention to the older Robin. He nervously shifted his weight when my intense gaze watches him, before becoming a bit panicked once he realized he physically cannot move away from me as I approach. I eye him up-and-down with appreciation before saying,
"You're cute, Little Red. Let's get coffee sometime. After I banish this fucker, of course."
This seemed to surprise everyone in the cave, but my focus was back to the demon Batman managed to get an attachment to.
"Now, how did you manage to get this fucker attached to you? Were you feeling especially lonely and struck a deal?"
I eye Batman curiously. Red Hood chuckles in amusement, but I choose to ignore him. There is a weird tension in the room when Red Hood and Batman make eye contact, so I clear my throat loudly to draw attention back to me as I study the cage that the demon is currently trapped in it. He managed to isolate and contain the demon, so that's a start. He sighs and explains,
"No, I'm not lonely enough to stoop so low."
I give an acknowledging hum. My eyes stay trained on the demon. It was rattling the cage it was imprisoned in, hissing and cursing at me while I approach it.
"Let's just ask the demon then, shall we?"
I stop in front of the demon and ask it,
"Now, what deal did you two make?"
The demon merely growled in response. I growl back at it, reaching into its body and squeezing its heart until it whimpered. I hiss,
"Answer me."
Its gravelly voice said,
"I was promised a new body by an alternative Batman. Clearly, I made a wrong turn."
I purred as I released my grip,
"Good boy."
Batman frowned in thought, but stayed silent by my side. He seemed to already have an idea of who struck the deal.
"Now, which Batman promised you this wanker?"
The demon snarls,
"He goes by Owlman. He merely promised me a Batman."
I give a thoughtful hum as I fully remove my hand from its heart, wiping off the dark blood from my hand.
"Well, that turned out swimmingly for you, didn't it?"
It snarled in response to my false sympathy. Red Hood snorts at my antics. He seemed to be entertained by the entire situation.
"Well, it appears your little deal wasn't fully thought out. I'm sending you back. Next time, possess Owlman instead."
I murmur my spell softly to myself before snapping in a particular pattern. The demon howled before it dissipates like mere smoke. I crack my knuckles nervously before turning back to the Batfamily and saying,
"If you need my services again, ask Little Red over there. He has my number."
Red Robin looked confused until he reached into his pocket and felt the slip of paper I planted on him. He pulls the slip of paper out of his pocket to the dismay of everyone in the cave. I send a wink his way once his disbelieving eyes turn back to me.
With a wave of my hand, I disappear from their cave before anyone could reply. Truthfully, I was a tad nervous to hear his reply. I'm still rusty when dealing with the living after spending so many years trapped in a metaphorical cage with anti-magic wards. Before John saved my sorry arse, I was entrapped for pissing off the wrong crowd.
I have much more experience with the dead and celestial as a result. They are a lot easier to figure out and handle than regular human beings.
Tim had never been more conflicted. Granted, he didn't have anyone who showed genuinely interest in him like this demon hunter. He had to applaud the flawless effort.
"Aww, you two would be so cute!"
Dick said with an encouraging grin. Dick, of course, was excited and happy for his brother. He wraps an arm around him in a side hug before letting go and saying,
"You should reach out! The chemistry between you two reminds me of myself and Starfire."
Jason rolls his eyes and fakes gags at Dick's brotherly excitement. Despite his annoyed exterior, he still defends Tim,
"You care too much, Grayson. Let my replacement come to his own decisions."
Tim gives a shy smile. The demonologist was rather cute and he appreciates the boldness and the stealth it took to even slip the note in his pocket. He softly says,
"Maybe I will."

Agency Assignments: A comprehensive to-do list for saving Dead Boy Detectives!
I'm very easily overwhelmed, so I wanted to break down all the ways to help "Save Dead Boy Detectives" that I have seen floating around. This is meant to be something you can reference when you feel like there is so much you need and want to do to help, but don't know how or where to start.
Note: I will be updating this post as we go when necessary, so feel free to bookmark it in your browser for easy access, add it to your homepage, whatever! I'll always have a link to it in my Pinned Navigation post on my blog as well!
It is of the utmost importance that we fight as an organized, well-informed front. We need to be on the same page if we're going to save our show, so let's get into it! 💜💀🔎
➪ First and foremost, follow @savethedeadboys! They're going to be our best resource during this fight.
➪ Next, follow @deadboyagency for news and updates: they've been around since the show dropped and have been an invaluable source of information the entire time.
Now for some task breakdowns:
"One-Time" Tasks
➪ Like the header says, these things can only be done once. Once you do them, you don't have to give them any space in your mind.
Sign the petition*
Review & Rate Dead Boy Detectives on Google, IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes. Be sure on IMDB you don't just rate the show as a whole, but you also rate each individual episode! You can also "Like" the show on Google and click "Watched" which helps the show's engagement scores. (If there are other popular sites I haven't listed here, feel free to share them and rate Dead Boy Detectives highly on them!)
Notify Netflix customer service (through their online chat feature) that you're unhappy with the cancelation of Dead Boy Detectives. This is a short, 5-minute task that I wrote a guide on (with an example message) here!
"Repeat" Tasks:
➪ These tasks can become a part of your daily routine; do what works best for you! You don't have to do every single one of these tasks every day if that is overwhelming!
Share the petition* over and over again, on every one of your socials! Make everyone you love sign it!
Stream Dead Boy Detectives!* Keep it on a loop in the background on low volume as much as possible. Try to get others to stream it as well, especially if they haven't watched it before! Netflix cares about VIEWS: views save shows and I broke down the reasoning here. (Bonus: if you post over on Twitter about your rewatch, use the tag #ReviveDeadBoyDetectives)
Talk about Dead Boy Detectives!* You're probably doing that already, but just be sure that you're tagging your posts. Here on Tumblr use the "Dead Boy Detectives" tag at least (to boost our tag to trending) and anywhere that uses hashtags (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram for example) I would recommend #SaveDeadBoyDetectives and #DeadBoyDetectives as those seem to be the most commonly used tags! IMPORTANT: do not use more than 20 tags here on Tumblr! Any more than 20 and your posts might be marked as spam and hidden from the tags!
Create art, edits for TikTok, fics, gif sets, doodles, crafts, analysis posts, and so on for Dead Boy Detectives.* Having fun is important, too! This is an extension of the "Talk about Dead Boy Detectives" point, but it needs to be stated - don't remove the joy from the fight. If a drawing of our boys or a smutty fic with your favorite trickster cat king is what you can bring to the fight on any given day, that is a perfectly valuable contribution! It's not all emails and hashtags.
Daily request a show through Netflix. Bonus if you're signed in! (I do 3-5 times a day)
Send Emails advocating for Dead Boy Detectives (Email list & Email Template). You can do this as much as you want or just one time.
Send Snail-mail (physical letters) to Netflix advocating for Dead Boy Detectives. I also send a copy of my letters to Warner Bros. Studios. Again, you can do this one time or multiple times. There are dates set aside for "mass" mail sending as well, so check out info on that here!
Interact with articles posted about Dead Boy Detectives. Read them, share them, comment on them, thank the writer for writing them, etc. We want lots of press about the cancellation, and supporting journalists and publications will make them want to write about Dead Boy Detectives more.
NOTE: Anything marked with a * means it's extremely important; if you can only do a few things, these tasks are the ones that you should focus on first. Remember to take care of yourself. This is a marathon, not a sprint, so don't burn yourself out!
WE WILL SAVE THIS SHOW.
Say that to yourself as many times as it takes for you to believe it. We're doing this to get justice for the writers, the actors, for ourselves, and assert to these companies that diverse, queer stories are not disposable one-offs; they deserve to be told in full!
Hugs and Handshakes to you all - whatever will suffice. 💜 Always feel free to reach out if you have any questions, whether that be through private message or my ask box. I'm not going anywhere!
- V

hello! do you have any notes on the second point of view??
Writing Notes: Second Person POV
Second Person Point of View - structured around the “you” pronoun, and is less common in novel-length work.
Example: “You thought you could do it.”
Second person can allow you to draw your reader into the story and make them feel like they’re part of the action because the narrator is speaking directly to them.
Writing in second person for any great length is a challenge, and will stretch your writing skills.
Lorrie Moore is well-known for her innovative use of second person narration in her short story collection Self-Help (1985).
Sometimes referred to as second person POV.
Second-Person Narration is a little-used technique of narrative in which the action is driven by a character ascribed to the reader, one known as you.
The reader is immersed into the narrative as a character involved in the story.
The narrator describes what "you" do and lets you into your own thoughts and background.
The most well-known piece of fiction that employs second-person narration might be Jay McInerney’s novel Bright Lights, Big City.
At the subway station you wait fifteen minutes on the platform for a train. Finally a local, enervated by graffiti, shuffles into the station. You get a seat and hoist a copy of the New York Post. The Post is the most shameful of your several addictions. — Jay McInerney, Bright Lights, Big City, 1984
You will also find second-person narration used in the "Choose Your Own Adventure" style of books popular with younger readers, in which readers determine where the story goes by which page they turn to next. Allowing the reader to "be" the central character in the story provides an immersive reading experience, enhancing what is at stake for the character and reader.
Second-person point of view directly addresses the reader, works well for giving advice or explaining how to do something.
A process analysis paper would be a good choice for using the second-person point of view, as shown in this paragraph:
In order to prepare microwave popcorn, you will need a microwave and a box of microwave popcorn which you’ve purchased at a grocery store. First of all, you need to remove the popcorn package from the box and take off the plastic wrap. Next, open your microwave and place the package in the center with the proper side up. Then set your microwave for the suggested number of minutes as stated on the box. Finally, when the popcorn is popped, you’re ready for a great treat.
While the example above outlines best use of second person, academic writing often avoids second-person point of view in favor of third-person point of view.
Second person can be too casual for formal writing, and it can also alienate the reader if the reader does not identify with the idea.
Second person point of view is often used in:
Nonfiction, like self-help books.
Immersive mediums, like video games.
Advertising slogans, which aim to sell a good or service.
Song lyrics, which connect with the listener by placing him or her directly into the narrative.
Although the second person is a less common choice for fiction writing, when done well, it can give a story a unique and powerful perspective.
Reasons to Write in Second Person POV
Writing in second person point of view has its challenges—mainly, asking the reader to suspend belief to the point where they imagine themselves to be part of the story. However, there are also advantages to using second person point of view. Second person point of view can:
Present an uncommon point of view. Second person is rare in literary fiction. Most novels are written in one of two styles: first person, which involves a narrator who tells their story, (“I ran toward the gate.”), or the third person, which is the author telling a story about a character (“He woke up that morning.”). One of the first popular novels to successfully use the second person was Jay McInerney’s Bright Lights, Big City, which put the reader in the center of a fast-paced, party lifestyle in New York.
Create excitement. Second person takes the reader and puts them in the middle of the action. In the Choose Your Own Adventure books, a popular children’s series, the reader is in the driver’s seat, instructed to make decisions that direct the plot.
Provide an opportunity to reflect. Writing in second person provides authors with the opportunity to reflect. Always a writer to push the limits of storytelling, Margaret Atwood has used second person in several short stories, like Bread. By using “you,” Atwood forces the reader to examine societal inequalities.
Adding humor. Approaching a story with a unique perspective, like a second person point of view, can help add levity. In Lorrie Moore’s short story How To Become a Writer, she uses the second-person narrative voice to try to convince the reader to become an astronaut, or a movie star—anything other than a writer.
Tips For Writing in Second Person
Follow these tips if you’ve settled on writing in the “you”:
Study those who went before you. While stories told in the second person are less common than first and third-person points of view, there are plenty of novels and short stories that can show you how it’s done. Other works worth investigating are Tom Robbins’ Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas and Italo Calvino’s If On a Winter’s Night a Traveler.
Imitate the masters. Take a well-known book written in the first or third person and try writing a page from a second person point of view. Dan Brown wrote his Robert Langdon series— Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Inferno, and Origin—in the close third person. Pick an action-packed page and rewrite it as if the reader was Robert Langdon.
Stay conscious of the narrative voice. Second person point of view can be difficult to articulate and it’s easy to slip into writing from your perspective. Be vigilant about always thinking of who the character is and remove yourself from the equation.
Be descriptive. People are used to making observations when reading a book. If you put the responsibility of character or protagonist on the reader, it’s your job to make it credible. Bring them into the world by elaborating on details. Appeal to their senses and emotions with vivid detail to describe the setting, other characters, and events.
Stay present. To ramp up the tension, use the present tense. It brings the reader in even closer and adds to the pacing of the plot. Using present tense and active verbs make it feel like it’s happening in real time. Read The Diver’s Clothes Lie Empty by Vendela Vida, a second person, present-tense story chronicling a woman’s journey through Morocco.
IN ACADEMIC WRITING. Replacing "You":
Sometimes you needs to be replaced with nouns or proper nouns to create more formality to clarify the idea. Here are some examples:
Inappropriate Use of "You" — Revised to Replace "You"
Quality of education decreases when you allow overcrowded classrooms. (Are you, the reader, allowing the conditions?) — Quality of education decreases when state legislators allow overcrowded classrooms. (Identifies who is doing what.)
On Saturday afternoons, you usually have to stand in long lines to buy groceries. (Are you, the reader, shopping in on this day and time?) — Saturday afternoon shoppers usually have to stand in long lines to buy groceries. (Identifies who is doing what.)
In many states, you have prisons with few rehabilitation programs. (Do you, the reader, have prisons?) — In many states, prisons have few rehabilitation programs. (Identifies the actual subject of the sentence.)

ok so. class/imperial dynamics between hickey and crozier. they each represent a different side of imperialism and a different way it affects people. very important to note that the major messaging of the show emphasizes how there are no "good ones" or "bad ones" within imperialism; the WHOLE SYSTEM is rotten and destroys everything it touches. the men on the expedition don't just damage and destroy the people and world they meet, the men are damaged and destroyed by the expedition itself. the whole ordeal was wretched and made everything worse for everyone. Which leads to the fundamental difference between hickey and crozier: hickey recognizes this, and crozier doesn't. Kind of. They both have similar lower class backgrounds, and looked to the navy for social mobility. Crozier played by the rules and achieved power and status through it, and he believes in the sanctity of naval bureaucracy and hospitality, if only they go about things the right way. Hickey, however, was so far removed from the prospects of this social mobility that he had to lie and commit identity theft to gain access to it. He has suffered at the hands of the british empire, and never held any illusions about the nature of it; he recognizes the class system as oppressive and the imperial system as violent. He tries to use this to his advantage and to gain power over others, but he still recognizes it and hates it. While crozier is certainly Doing His Best and has Good Intentions and all that, all of his decisions still end up being harmful or disregarding, and all the harm done by anyone else on the expedition (including hickey) is done in his name, because he brought them here and he is their leader. When hickey kidnaps silna and brings her to the ships, crozier is disgusted at the way hickey makes the violent nature of their presence so apparent, and yet he Does Keep silna on the ships afterwards. hickey is punished for insolence and dereliction of duty moreso than the actual harm he caused. Crozier’s issue was with the way he went about his actions, rather than the actions themselves. It still serviced crozier, even if he was, on the surface, put off by it. And hickey did it because he expected crozier to appreciate it. He thought crozier recognized the same things he did. But he didn’t, and that’s where the break between them happens, moreso than during the lashing. Hickey realizes that crozier Doesn’t understand the same things he does, or see things the same way he does. He has assimilated into the naval structure far too much and, in hickey’s view, lost touch. Which is ironic, given that hickey’s whole identity theft was quite indicative of him abandoning his lower class background and any perspective it gave him. There’s a very interesting dichotomy there, of crozier always being honest about his lower class background, and yet achieving status regardless, and becoming fully entrenched in the imperial machine because of it, and hickey never being honest about his lower class background, never achieving status regardless, and still resenting the imperial machine the entire time.
Hickey views crozier as the embodiment of the british empire, and the ups and downs of his respect for him are indicative of the ups and downs of his feelings towards his own potential for betterment through the imperial system. I might be stretching here but to meeee hickey’s mutiny is representative of something like a bourgeois revolution. He views crozier’s command, and the larger system, as oppressive, and he views himself as entirely separate from it in some way, when really he just wants to take crozier’s place and implement a near identical system within his own camp. Hickey’s delusions of personal exceptionalism are quite significant all the way to the end, when he tries to fully sever himself from his britishness and sacrifice crozier to the tuunbaq. He thinks he is different, and that him recognizing the empire’s brutality makes him any less implicated in it. Of course, it doesn’t; he is still british and cannot separate himself from that, so the tuunbaq kills him. However, crozier kills the tuunbaq. He is still concluding the devastation the british cause here. Also crozier’s “you could have just joined up” is really interesting because it shows that even then he still believed in the accessibility and positive potential of the navy. He thinks hickey is foolish for his reservations and ill will, and is almost denying the idea that there would be anything preventing that.
#sorry that this one's really incoherent and rambly i wrote most of it at like 1 am#also feel free to disagree with my crozier analysis#i admittedly do not know him like that and was just doing some quick narrative calculus to conclude these things#whateva#corneius hickey#francis crozier#the terror#the terror amc#the terror 2018

reader as kathy from the bikeriders, very very random.
DANNY x yn.
"no danny, i told you already, benny isn't my boyfriend. and cut this part in your interview or he'll shoot me." you complained, handing him a cup of iced americano you had just prepared on your kitchen counter. danny was on the other side, smiling as he was holding the microphone towards you to get a better sound of your voice.
"ok, ok, promised. what about johnny? do you know something about his wife?"
you took a sip of your black coffee, savouring the sour taste down your throat before answering.
you had known danny for a month now.
you met him at a self-service laundrette in your small village, while you were doing the laundry with your friends. the washing machines were cream-colored, and the clothes smelled like clean sheets after just the first wash.
danny always walked around with his microphone or camera, a small radio attached to his leather belt and his canvas bag where he kept packs of cigarettes or notepads. at first, he had another shoulder bag, but that one bore the emblem of the prestigious college he went to, and he knew the vandals wouldn't like it.
since the beginning of the interview, danny used the guise of a normal confidential interview about johnny and his biker club, even if your daily-laundrette-friends stubbornly argued about the fact that he was just doing it on purpose to flirt with you. he would do a little interview almost every day, otherwise he would take photos of you and the members of johnny's club.
he said it was for a book he intended to write, where he would write down everything he had collected from numerous interviews and decorate it with pictures as well.
as months passed, you got happily used to the clanking sound of what must be a spoon heard in the background of the recording anytime you prepared him coffee, or the soft smile that would play on his lips whenever you made jokes during the interview, or how he would remove his leather jacket to place it on your living room chair and let his biceps be in wonderful display.
you couldn't deny it anyway, you were physically attracted to danny. shamefully attracted.
he was like fresh air to you. he was kind, gentleman, always well dressed and cleaned. he smelled like post-shaving and cologne, nothing to do with the alcohol and cigarette odor that motorcyclists emanatedfrom sunrise to sunset.
even your laundry girls insisted on you declaring your feelings for him, but you kept thinking he had better things to do and you were just someone destined to stay in his future book pages as the girl best friend of johnny's club's members.
"i thought you had interviewed me enough." you told him one day as he entered your house, carefully leaving his boots near the door rug.
"and so i thought." he said, strangely serious and absolutely not caring about the fact that you were only wearing your underwear and a pajama oversized t-shirt.
your pulse quickened dizzily when you noticed he wasn't carrying any microphone or camera with him, but definitely not because he wouldn't have been able to picture you half-naked and make you look bad.
"so...why are you here?" you asked, your voice suddenly little and cracking.
danny reached you with long strides, crossing the room with ease.
"danny- what are you-?!"
he bent down slightly to grab you so as to pick you up, placing you with the usual delicacy on the kitchen counter where you used to serve him coffees.
"i've been wanting this since the first day." his husky groaned and he removed his leather jacket with a smooth singular gesture, leaving him with his black tanktop you always found yourself staring at.
"danny..."
he couldn't listen to you, because he immediately settled himself between your legs, spreading them and hiding his face under your big t-shirts.
his hands did the same and they immediately found your bra, untying it to permit his wet and hot tongue to drown your nipples.
"mmmh-" a guttural moan escaped your mouth involuntarily as you threw your head back. your muscles tensed at the same time and your jelly legs squished his waist.
"i always thought you preferred benny or other members...i wanted to make a move so bad." he whispered, reaching your lips and kissing you softly.
you cupped his face and pulled him off a little bit just to have a better look at his face.
"you're crazy, you know that, right?"
a low chuckle left his mouth, and his throat throbbed a bit.
"how could i even think of choosing them over you!?"
danny smiled softly, and before you could notice, he had already taken off your bra and t-shirt.

What is your creation process? :3c
hey, thanks for the inquiry! i've been meaning to make a post like this for some time now. NOTE: this will only cover how i make my blinkies. if you want me to go in depth about how i make stamps, please send another ask! i just think they're kind of self explanatory in comparison >_>
MY BLINKIE MAKING PROCESS
for this demonstration, i will make this graphic of Acht Mizuta from Splatoon 3. it's free to use btw:
i make my graphics in Krita, which is great for editing pixel art, but does not have an option to disable font antialiasing. this leads me to generate my pixel text through external online services, but i usually generate it on blinkies.cafe and get an editable template to go along with it. my go-to is the simple purple template, since it has a simple palette and the text has its own color so i can put it in a separate layer easier.
i import it as a single frame that i will animate later. usually what i do first is cut+paste the inner content of the blinkie into a separate layer:
then i remove the background with a fill erase on the third mode, and move it around as i see fit. i put it in a separate layer before this so it's easier to color and add things like outlines.
let's import graphics! usually i find a transparent png and overlay it onto the background, but in this case i'm using a full background, so it needs to be prepared:
(source: splatoon 3 side order locker reward banner)
i import the image into a new file with the same resolution as the blinkie. i edit it to have a wider resolution so it fits better:
i use a lasso tool to put acht in a separate layer (so they stick out of the frame)
i import the two layers into the original file with the text. though i feel the images could use a little color grading...
at this point i begin to mess around with the layout a little, trying to match the original "sanitized" theme i had in mind. i also do color grading on the render of acht and change out the background. now we're getting somewhere! i also color the text at this point to be a nice gradient green.
let's color the outer part of the blinkie! i thought i would make the border a transparent black, with the lights being neon green and a dark magenta respectively.
i also want to make the text have a nice little border around it, so i put a stroke filter on the text layer with the following settings. these usually change depending on graphic but the thickness is always 1px (any more and it gets antialiasing)
that's it for designing the blinkie, now it's time to animate it! i do this internally in krita, since it has an animation feature:
i make a new frame for the animation and change the colors and positions around. i also set up my clip settings - ending at frame 1 (2 frames - frame 0 and frame 1) at 6fps.
that's pretty much it! the gif is ready to export, just make sure you export it in the right format and don't accidentally compress it or make it too big.
the gif is ready!! wahoo!! i hope this was somewhat enlightening, i'm not the best at explaining stuff but i tried to go in depth as much as i could

Why You Need a Photo Cropping and Resizing Service
Photo cropping and resizing services involve altering the dimensions and composition of an image to suit specific requirements. Cropping refers to the process of trimming the edges of a photo to remove unwanted elements, focus on a particular subject, or improve the overall composition. This technique can transform the visual impact of an image by emphasizing its most important parts and eliminating distractions.
Why You Need a Photo Cropping and Resizing Service
Preserving image quality: Resizing photos can be tricky. If not done correctly, you can lose image quality and end up with blurry or pixelated photos. A cropping and resizing service uses techniques to maintain image sharpness while adjusting the size.
Multiple platforms, multiple needs: Images for social media, websites, and print all have different size requirements. A service can ensure your photos are formatted correctly for each platform, saving you the hassle of figuring out the specifics for each one.
Time-saving: Cropping and resizing a large number of photos can be very time-consuming. A service can handle this task efficiently, freeing you up to focus on other things.
Professional touch: For businesses or individuals who want a polished look for their photos, a service can provide a professional crop and resize that enhances the overall presentation.
Complex edits: Some services offer additional features beyond basic cropping and resizing. This could include removing unwanted objects, straightening horizons, or adjusting white balance for a more consistent look across multiple photos.
Benefits to using a photo cropping and resizing service
Improved image aesthetics: Cropping can help you remove unwanted elements from a photo, such as distracting backgrounds or objects that detract from the main subject. This can make your photos look more polished and professional. Resizing services can ensure your photos are the right dimensions for different purposes, preventing them from appearing stretched or distorted.
Focus on the subject: Cropping can be used to draw attention to the most important part of your photo. This is especially useful for product photography on e-commerce websites, where you want customers to focus on the item being sold.
Faster turnaround time: Cropping and resizing photos can be time-consuming, especially if you have a large number of images. A photo cropping and resizing service can take care of this task for you quickly and efficiently, freeing up your time to focus on other things.
Expertise and quality: Professional cropping and resizing services have the experience and tools to ensure your photos are cropped and resized correctly, maintaining the highest quality possible. This is especially important for photos that will be used for commercial purposes.
Saving storage space: Resizing large photos to a smaller size can save you valuable storage space on your computer or online storage drive.

Madeline Peltz at Number Two Pencil:
About halfway through the Young Women’s Leadership Summit in Grapevine, Texas, I got a talking to from Turning Point USA comms.
Andrew Kolvet, the organization’s chief spokesman, peeled me away from the line of young women I was speaking to warn me that he had gotten complaints about me, though he couldn’t name what they were beyond “weird questions”, and if I kept interviewing attendees under 18, I’d be removed from the conference. “I’m very familiar with your work,” Kolvet said. He reminded me these girls are “innocent,” and to lay off.
I’m not sure how I got on Kolvet’s radar, though I have an idea. But of course, I was offended by the implication I didn’t have the best interests of my subjects in mind. I spend 75% of my waking hours thinking about young people’s role in the current right-wing movement, the subject of my forthcoming book, so I went to Texas this year to give them a chance to speak for themselves.
If we’re really worried about who is preying on young conservative women, let’s listen in to what was being said on stage.
This year marked the 10th Young Women’s Leadership Summit, the largest annual conference for young women and girls in the conservative movement. The event is designed to pop on Instagram — the halls of the Grapevine, Texas conference hotel lined with cutesy photo opportunities everywhere you turn. The theme this year was “Home Sweet Home,” centered around a stage stylized as a Rococo-era sitting room complete with gold accented window frames and pleasant cream-colored couches, a small chandelier glittering above. The setup was framed by LCD screens, including the ceiling, which displayed whirling background graphics to hype up the crowd as speakers took the stage. It was my second time attending YWLS, a long-held point of fascination in my career, for the bizarre way the event artificially sutures glamorous, well-paid career women in right-wing media like Alex Clark, Dana Loesch, and Brett Cooper with the insistence on settling down and having babies before the audience graduates high school. [...]
This year’s YWLS did a fantastic job bringing together the last year and a half of the Make America Healthy Again movement with rising currents of anti-feminism. No one better exemplifies this intersection than Alex Clark, host of Turning Point’s Culture Apothecary podcast, which offers luminary takes on why sunscreen is bad and raw milk is good. She is, according to Vanity Fair, in “close contact” with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and since she spoke at a viral roundtable of right-wing health and wellness personalities hosted on Capitol Hill last September her social media following has exploded. “If you don’t know me, my name is Alex Clark and the Guardian recently accused me of running a PSYOP to turn American women thin, fertile, and conservative. I’m here to publicly say the accusations are true!” A tinkering of cheers from the crowd.1 She was standing on stage in a tweed mini skirt, matching blazer, bouffant updo, and layered pearl accessories, reminding me more of Sarah Palin than the cottagecore aesthetic around her.
I looked around at the young women and girls sitting near me, fluttery floral summer dresses draping bodies of all sizes and shapes, oversized bows crowning loosely curled hair parted in the middle, listening attentively. “Thin, fertile, and conservative” is of course the exact message I’d been hearing for years from Clark and other conservatives targeting young women. The rise of MAHA has made this set especially body conscious, and to hear it stated so plainly jives with the “masks off” ethos we’re all suffering through under Trump 2. MAHA really just is 00s style disordered eating and fatphobia repackaged for the right-wing Instagram era. After Clark’s opener, we got a Tammy Fae and Jim Bakker impression from Charlie and his wife Erika Kirk. Erika is a former Miss Arizona, who according to Kyle Spencer’s book Raising Them Right: The Untold Story of America’s Ultraconservative Youth Movement and its Plot for Power, first met Charlie while seeking a job at Turning Point USA. “I’m not going to hire you,” he told her when he was done with the interview. “I’m going to date you.” Again, Charlie Kirk’s behavior is something to warn your daughter about.
[...]
But the push is so much more powerful – a top-down message so extreme that it only survives because it is backed by right-wing billionaires. Turning Point has made an active choice to craft this message and sell it as hard as possible, rather than getting carried away by some overwhelming demand from the audience. It’s a piece of a wider war on young people, women in particular: stripping away reproductive rights, including access to birth control, gutting what remains of the social safety net that overwhelmingly benefits women and children, and persecuting, culturally and legally, anyone who strays from the traditional framework of heterosexual marriage.
Turning Point USA’s Young Women Leadership Summit (YLWS) this year features MAHA and “thin, fertile, and conservative” messaging and vibes.

Okay I lied, I have time for one more. Then it's gone.
Season 5 Episode 9 - The Real Ghostbusters
○ There are so many '67 Impalas
And Chuck's here
Oh great, Becky and her obsession with Sam. Knowing this shows history, this doesn't bode well for him.
○ LMAO SUPERNATURAL CONVENTION
I just told my husband about the spn characters being at an spn convention. How do I explain that this isn't even in the top 100 of weird things that happen in this show
○ I can't take Chuck seriously. Like everything he does is just for show. Like pretending to be this little scared shy weak guy. Manipulative af.
Like I know at this point that's what he was written to be, but then, you know
Lmao, he says he's gonna publish more
"For food and shelter" boy stfu
He's trying to play on their heart strings by convincing them he's really struggling
○ LMAO them accidentally falling into a Role Play scenario
And of course a real ghost is mixed in
□ I'm getting real close to spn being removed. I'll just finish.
○ Becky makes me uncomfortable. Nvm Sam
○ These men playing as Sam and Dean
They think it's all just a game
Dean pulls out a real gun for a second lol
○ All these people calling out all their real issues lmao
○ They killed the ghost lady. But shit is still going down
This is gonna be the second time they wasted an adult ghost who they thought was a murderer, only to find out the kid was actually the murderer, and the adult was helping save people (the family in the picture a couple seasons back)
Yup. The kids killed the other kid, and as ghosts, the lady was keeping them in line.
○ Kinda surprised Dean would be willing to put this lady there to call the killer ghosts. Guess he was out of options.
○ "Supernatural makes digging graves seem so easy" right?! Like that's a lot of packed dirt to uncover
○ Chuck making up a lame story about losing his virginity (once again, they probably wrote it to be true to make him seem pathetic, but now it just is so funny)
Chuck's little hero act got Becky's attention lol
○ Awe these random guys pointing out the good parts about being Sam and Dean
They met online on a Supernatural chat forum. What a way to meet a spouse. Mine just doesn't get the joys of Supernatural
○ Chuck and Becky together 😂
○ I love Sam's threat. I love that they let him have that line. It's perfect.
○ THIS IS WHAT I WAS SAYING LAST TIME ABOUT THEM USING THE BOOKS TO GET BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Becky says Bela lied about giving the Colt to Lilith AND GAVE IT TO CROWLEY
I'M GONNA JUST MISS RE-MEETING ANOTHER ONE OF MY LOVES
GODDAMN IT
THEY BEST BE PUTTING SPN ON A STREAMING SERVICE ASAP BC I WAS OKAY WITH IT FOR NOW, BUT NOW I AM NOT OKAY
THEY ARE REMOVING IT IN 2 GODDAMN MINUTES
Bye Supernatural, I hope I see you again soon

Dude you know what makes less and less sense to me the older i get? The basis of being charged for rent and utilities in this day and age when we spend less and less time actually at home doing anything fr. Like when you take into consideration how fucking burnt out we are on a regular basis (esp and particularly among adolescents and young adults), how do I even have a bill for utilities I’m never home to really use for any significant amount of time?
I’m being charged increasingly for streaming services i don’t have the energy outside of work to watch with any actual consistency or attention. Most of the time I turn the mf tv on for white noise — to scroll through social media on my damn phone 😂 bc the sound of the tv in the background gives me this illusion of control over how I’m spending my time “leisuring”, only bc it’s something i can use to convince myself that the shackles have been at least temporarily removed. They’re never removed though. Literally ever.
You spend $200 on 10 damn items at the grocery store now; groceries that don’t even last, at that. The essential-est essentials have prices straight out of apocalyptic hell. At the same time, this is the same damn country that decided no one has a technical right to food or sustenance — with the phenomena of food insecurity all over the damn nation. People can’t even truly afford to take care of their health being tethered to working “tirelessly”, and with health insurance having no seriousness here whatsoever.
I’m paying 1,000+ damn dollars a month for rent alone, working for shit wages that never really budge in any way that matters and that I can’t actually save shit with, bc I never really have any disposable income. It’s just a fucking nightmare. How are y’all doing this with children??? How are y’all doing this with dependents and pets and car payments and student loans and credit card debt on top of a never ending series of American obligations?? How are y’all not losing your very minds living like this every day??? The math doesn’t even add up. Logic doesn’t even apply.
There’s nothing logical or fair about any of this. It doesn’t even make systemic sense the way we’re charged damn near everything year-round to exist here. How are they incentivizing y’all to breed playing w our rights like this in our faces?? It’s worth it to y’all? I could grind my teeth to nothing trying to make the vaguest sense of it. I feel so utterly squeezed by and ensnared in bills 24/7/365. And like………… in a way…… it kinda doesn’t make declining birth rates seem so bad? This really might be for the best.
Tf we supposed to do, just work for other human beings all our lives? 8 billion of us?? What right do human beings have to demand such consistent energy from other human beings? 😂 Just to be a vessel by which others procure and sustain wealth via our underpaid and exhausted labor while we struggle to survive on meager resources? Doesn’t seem sustainable. Or realistic. Or humane. I’ve never wanted to be here less. I’ve never wanted to not be needed so badly in my entire life. I’m so fucking tired of being here.
