Sometimes I see a post about James T. Kirk and it's obvious the person making it never watched Star Trek The Original Series.

Maybe it was on TV and they were in the same room as it while it played. But they'd didn't pay any real attention to what was happening.

To them, Kirk is a sex fiend, womanizer, manly man and not a stack of books on legs who nearly married the woman he dated while teaching at Starfleet Academy. They don't have the first damn clue who James T. Kirk is and it's shows. Painfully so.

WARFARE.

I just left the theater and wow...incredible. It literally keeps you on the edge of your seats and chills down your spine. Knowing that those were real people, in real time is bone chilling. Everyone was amazing. D’Pharaoh, Will, Cosmo and Charles deserve extra praise for being able to portray such complicated military roles. I didn't see it in IMAX, but I absolutely will be.

yeah!! a non-animation friend made it for me as a gift it's super handy. The notebook is a tiny dot grid journal I think I got from the natural history museum. I dont really use sketchbooks anymore, but I like to keep something handy for story notes, to do lists, designs that pop into my head on the go etc

Question... how would we feel about KitTy art with themes of a binary star system as a magnetar and a pulsar??

Because I would like to report that my new obsession is space.

To break it down:

Kit as a magnetar: Magnetars are neutron stars with insanely strong magnetic fields, often prone to violent outbursts. That fits Kit so well chaotic, unpredictable, but deeply compelling. Their energy flares could symbolize emotional explosions or instability. A force of nature that warps everything around it with an overwhelming presence. Magnetic in every sense - attracting, repelling, unpredictable. Just like a magnetar's flares, Kit's emotions or actions could be sudden and intense, affecting everything in their orbit.

Ty as a pulsar: Pulsars are incredibly consistent, emitting beams of radiation in precise intervals like cosmic lighthouses. That steady, rhythmic nature? Perfect for Ty - methodical, determined, always moving forward. Also from a distance, pulsars often appear invisible. The idea that Ty is this powerhouse of consistency but might be "invisible" unless you're looking at the right angle? Poetic. Also, the fact that pulsars spin so fast yet remain stable? That just screams Ty’s relentless drive and focus.

As for realism, a magnetar and a pulsar in a binary system is theoretically possible but would be super rare and we don't know about any existing case like that. Most neuron stars are thought to form in isolation (DO YOU SEE THE VISION???? Kit always the one without a place to go home to, and Ty who grew up feeling alienated), but if a binary evolved just right, one could become a magnetar while the other remains a pulsar. Plus, even if it’s uncommon in reality, the aesthetic and metaphorical potential are too good to pass up.

And the rarity of this binary system? That only makes it more special. A cosmic pairing that shouldn’t exist but does - defying the odds, bound by gravity and fate. It’s both scientifically fascinating and narratively rich.
