Just watched Blue’s Big City Adventure because I needed some nostalgia and positive affirmations from Steve but the work they put into this production is INSANE

All the Blue’s-Clues-spoof Broadway musical ads (shoutout especially to Avenue Blue and Spice Rack Story), the Blue’s-Clues-ification of actual New York locations, custom licence plates on the vehicles he interacts with…the movie’s cheesy but it’s also clearly a labour of love and meant for original fans to enjoy. I wish more reboots/remakes of childhood favourites so clearly cared about the source material instead of just scraping an IP for money

Synopsis

When Josh gets the opportunity of a lifetime to audition for Rainbow Puppy’s Broadway musical, Josh and Blue skidoo to NYC for the very first time where they meet new friends and discover the magic of music, dance, and following one’s dreams! The entire Blue’s Clues crew is reunited for this special movie musical event, with the beloved animated friends and all three hosts – Josh, Steve, and Joe – together for the first time in the Big Apple like fans have never seen them before!
