Buddha to his disciples, mini-series (22)
Bodhi (disambiguation) - Enlightenment and the perfection of the Buddha's Way
The 8th of December is the day, the Buddha attained enlightenment, and is celebrated every year in Buddhist communities as 'Bodhi Day'. Bodhi means enlightenment and the perfection of the Buddha's Way.
At the age of 35, Gautama Buddha (Ref) attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree (Ref2) in Bodh Gaya and became a Buddha (the awakened one).
The nature of that realisation is “the truth of the universe”. When we speak of truth, most of the time it tends to be only the truth of a certain time and a certain region. We must not forget that, in addition to such truths, there are truths that transcend time and space, that is, the truth of the universe.
This concludes the 'Buddha to his disciples, a mini-series' for now. Thank you very much. From the next issue, we will focus on 'Legendary creatures and humanoids on anthropomorphism'.

Buddha Jayanti Park plays an important role in keeping the environment pollution free. A special tree planting program was organized at Buddha Jayanti Garden, which is located on Delhi's Central Ridge, and over a thousand Amaltas trees were planted in the park. Under the direction of Buddha Jayanti Park president, environmentalist, and sculpture artist Neeraj Gupta, this tree plantation effort was accomplished successfully.

Tamralipta: An Ancient Gateway to India
In the previous posts, I have mentioned about some places in Bihar which were centres of trade & commerce, mostly from the period of Mahajanapadas. While the information is enough to establish the significance of these ancient cities, it is not helpful in portraying the role that these places played in the regional, national, and international trade. So, through a series of two posts, I have…

Burn Bodhi Tree Burn
Dispelling Illusions in the Quest for EnlightenmentIn a provocative turn of thought, the recent symbolic burning of the Bodhi tree, a revered figure in Buddhist lore as the tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment, stirs a profound metaphysical debate. This act, far from being a mere iconoclastic gesture, serves as a powerful metaphor for a deeper philosophical introspection into the nature…
