going on another ‘the persuaders’ rant because i can and noticing that overall there really is no reason why these two characters spend so much time with one another. unlike most television shows of the era it isn’t a “buddy cop” scenario where they both work for the same force or danny works for US intelligence across the pond. it isn’t like a sherlock-scenario where they both live together and have a private detective agency in a spare bedroom. it’s two men who have nothing to do with one another slowly but surely gravitating towards the other.
they don’t work for judge fulton (as much as it would seem like they do) instead it’s the age old “oh hello, it’s you again” scene and i adore it.

Hi there! Welcome to my blog! Ever wanted to ask Roger Moore's characters a question? Well, now you can! But first we need some rules.
No NSFW please
I am a minor, and that would make me uncomfortable.
No asking Roger Moore himself anything. This is just for his characters. Roger was a real person it would feel odd for me to answer questions posing as him.
Please be patient, I have a lot going on and may not always be able to answer.
No topics of Self h@rm or anything along those lines. If you want to have a small vent to a character that is fine, just keep it low-key. (Also, my Dms are always open, and I'm fine responding in or out of character just specify!)
The character's I am responding as for now are:
James Bond: LALD to AWTAK era. (73-85)
Simon Templar: The Saint Tv series (62-69)
Lord Brett Sinclair: The Persuaders (1971)
Gary Fenn: Crossplot (1969)
Seymour Goldfarb Jr: Canonnball run (1981)
This is it for now but can be updated. If there is a certain Roger character you wish to see, let me know!
And my final rule is to have fun!
My main account is: @basicallyarogermoorestanaccount
Come check me out on there, I talk all about Roger and even post some of my own art!
Have a good day!! -Luna ✨️

Roger actually designed some of his own clothing during The Persuaders!! I love how he is always very fancy in The Persuaders, also how his style reflects against Dannys, where Danny would usually wear a leather jacket whilst Brett would wear a smart blazer!! And i love how over the top he is!
I've been thinking about this ever since I drew three of Roger Moore's roles together, but Brett's fashion sense really differs from Moore's other roles. (At least James Bond and Simon Templar) I feel like costuming is really helps define this role separately from some of Moore's other roles. It's not said enough, but it's an aspect to really pay more attention to.
It makes a lot of sense, given how it satirizes the British aristocracy! Brett just feels a bit more over-the-top in a way. At least in contemporary society, it mirrors the view of the aristocracy as posh and the costuming exaggerates that point at times.
