I Hope 50x50 is good enough for a Shopping Mall shell

Finally gotten the wherewithal to do up a inner shopping mall layout so that I can screencap the next part of my story. I don't know how long it's going to take to build this thing, so don't expect the story to go ahead anytime before next month.

Start to the "food court" where another scene will take place. All for a short scene that takes maybe three seconds to read.

“You OK with A&W?” “Yeah, I’m fine with A&W…” Haruo said. River gave him a kiss and he wandered off to go find a washroom...or more accurately nail down that ring and the other one in the display case. It was about twenty minutes later that he came back. River eyed him with a disbelieving stare “Twenty minutes?” “Yeah...somehow that one got just as full.” Haruo prevaricated looking as innocent as ever, “...had to wait for three guys...only three stalls in that bathroom and evidently everyone just had to come in right at that time, y’know.” He was lucky. She had bought him an A&W Mozza Combo and herself a Mama Burger combo; she got onion rings, she got him a large fries with the bank card he’d passed to her from his operating account which had roughly about §558.00 in it at the time. The two rings were tucked deep within his pockets, the keys to his Mercedes resting on top of them. He plunked himself down in the chair and grinned at her. River shook her head at him indulgently. Whew...she didn’t guess. Haruo thought as he sat down to munch on his Mozza burger.

The things I have to do for this legacy. 🤣

okay but we all agree that Childe simply must appear in Natlan at some point, right? not even from a lore standpoint, just because he has a reputation of being Mr. Teyvat and you know that man never backs down from a challenge.

i imagine you leave home for a little bit to help with Natlan's rebuilding as many of the nations are doing, and Childe convinces Foul Legacy to also just HAPPEN to be in Natlan at the same time. his Abyssal half doesn't want to at first, since the house is cozy and Natlan is notorious for being very, very warm, but the moment Childe mentions your name Legacy perks up and agrees, and a few days later you're promptly tackled by a jubilant monster and sent stumbling right into a hot spring.

needless to say, the civilians around you are VERY concerned until you sheepishly reassure them that this is one of the, ah, nicer Abyssal beasts. not that they really doubted your words, seeing how eagerly Legacy snuggled into your lap and nibbled your fingers.

ok but im rly into the idea of till having a new era that brings the light back to his eyes and drives him forward if he gets to escape the arena. idk where he'd go from there but i want to see ivans sacrifice both haunt him and drive him to actually live his damn life after being the captured bird refusing freedom cause of mizi. once he knows she's alive with the resistance he might be able to actually experience other things and widen his world and if that happens and he puts his personal sense of rebellion towards the human cause OR settles into finding some other way to feel fulfilment that isn't a single person that could be deeply fascinating to me i think

This was in my notes. I started writing it after I came back from NYC in 2023. This is unbetaed, unfinished, unfortunate lol but I call it 232 celsius

N-O-W

They can’t climb.

The desert city streets echo with relentless thuds of running footsteps, pounding against the unforgiving pavement. Panting, exhausted breaths out of tight chests feel heavy as they keep running.

They can’t climb.

With every stride, their boots squelch against the wet soil. As Louis and Harry sprint through deserted streets, that belong to the one city that used to never sleep, fatigue becomes palpable, weighing them down like an invisible burden.

Louis got used to the acrid notes of kerosene, but it still burns his lungs and throat.

They can’t climb, but they can run fast.

Sleek bodies and razor-sharp claws, constantly hunting. When they are on, the neon red eyes pierce can be seen from a distance, moreover in the darkness, scanning for any signs of intellectual rebellion.

Metallic paws beat the ground in a relentless pursuit. The sound of their whirring gears and hissing hydraulics spreads as fast as their mechanical howling among the empty streets of a still city. Louis has learned to recognize their rhythmic clanking, as if an army of tiny blacksmiths hammers away at their anvils with precision and he follows it with each step. As they gain speed, the noise intensifies, blending with the low hum of their engines.

Louis casts a quick glance over his shoulder, concern etching lines on his face. Harry is trailing behind, visibly tired and out of breath. He’s holding their baby nestled securely between his arms. The unforgiving wind whips past his faces, making his nose and cheeks turn a pretty shade of pink. Their son giggles in delight, tiny hands reaching out to touch the world whizzing by. Poor thing doesn’t know much of a different world, of a better one. Sweat dripped down Harry’s forehead, his hair tied up in a messy bun on the back of his nape. A few curls have escaped and are now sticking to his panting lips.

Louis looks down. He’s too holding a precious cargo as well.

Minnie is hiding her face against her dad’s neck. Poor thing was born in a different world and she’s growing up in a fucking nightmare. She’s scared of the iron dogs, of their unnecessarily dreadful eyes and venom spitting tongues.

Louis stops in his tracks.

“We play the ‘little monkey-big monkey’ game now, honey. Are you in?” Louis whispers to his daughter’s ear.

“I’m tired, Daddy.” She whispers back.

“I know, bunny, but it’s going to be so fun!” Louis says, feeling like utter shit to have to ask his daughter the umptieth effort of the day, the week, of her short life. “Listen, when we get to our cool, little house up there, we’re going to take the longest nap.” Louis promises, kissing her heads gently.

“Alright,” She gives in, “Just hold me.”

“Never letting you go, love. Do you trust me?”

She nods against Louis’ chest, and that’s basically all the encouragement Louis needs to climb the fire escape stairs.

Louis grabs the handle and pulls the emergency escape stairs down. They descend with a metallic groan.

Too similar, too close to the hounds’ animalistic verse, his daughter squeaks between his arms.

“Sorry, princess.” Louis brushes her cheek with a light finger. “H?” He calls.

“Right after you.” His husband says.

“Are you alright?”

“Yeah, both fine.” He pants between labored breaths. “Just a bit tired. We’ve been running for hours.”

“’K, give me the baby.” Louis turns, fixing his daughter on his back. Like the very good little monkey she is, she wraps his skinny legs around her father’s torso and hooks her arms around his neck.

“Lou, I’m fine.” Harry reassures him with a soft smile. “Besides, you can’t climb these stairs holding both of them.”

“Dada, we’re playing the ‘little monkey-big monkey’ game, remember?” Louis insists. Harry rolls his eyes, ready to protest.

“Lou…”

“Little monkey on the front, big monkey on the back, Mama monkey climbs first.” Louis lists the rules of his game very shortly, he’s already fixing the baby pouch hanging it around his neck. “You know the drill.”

“But—”

“Just say you love me and let’s go”.

“You know I do.” Harry sighs, too tired to complain any further. He passes by Louis, leaning in to kiss his cheek ever so softly, “Thank you.”

“Good. Up you go.” Louis says, feeling warm spread inside his chest.

The world is less of shitty place with Harry in it.

Harry grips the rusted, cold railing, that rattles beneath his weight. He climbs higher and faster, checking down on Louis with their children.

“I like the view from beneath.” Louis says, breaking their silence.

“Shut up, oh my god!” Harry hisses. Louis can’t see his face, but knows Harry is blushing. He always acts like an innocent angel when the kids are around.

“Can’t help it! My hubby is very sexy when he climbs stairs, trees or my bedm you know.”

“You talk too much,” Harry says. Louis feels the smile on his face.

“You love me too much”.

“You know I do.”

When Harry finally reaches the top, gasping for air, his eyes dart in the distance. Louis sees the blood run out of his face. He has no time to ask what happens, when the metallic barking is coming from underneath his own feet. Louis’ heart pounds in his ear and he propels himself further faster.

Beneath him, the hounds are gathered and look up right into him intently. Their clicking noses up in the air make electronic sounds when they sniff. Like ferocious beasts in the presence of their preys, they are already drooling gasoline over the asphalt. The scent of it, more pungent now, knocks Louis’ breath out.

Right in the moment when one of those hungry dogs jumps towards them, Harry and Louis lock eyes. It bites Louis’ leg, Louis holds back a terrifying scream. Harry’s green eyes widen in fear, their vibrant hue contrasting against the pale backdrop of his face.

“Shit, shit, shit, shit!” Harry repeats in terror, trembling legs follows the track in reverse, climbing down to try reach Louis and the kids in time.

“Don’t come down!” Louis shouts at Harry, trying his hardest to hang on the step and protect the baby with the other hand. “Minnie, hold tight, please hug me tight, love, don’t let go”. Louis encourages his daughter.

“Are you hurt?” Harry asks, his voice weak and feeble.

Louis repeatedly kicks down with his other leg until he hits one hound right in the space between its horrid neon eyes.

“Go, go, go!”

sometimes i think about when jordan called declan dauntless in the dreamer trilogy and then i think about both aurora and mor calling declan dauntless and i need to lie face down on the floor for five hours until i feel normal again

I'm not into shinee( do love taemin though) but from what I have seen they're basically chaos incarnated like 99% OF the time .

Also also any tips for someone who wants to get unto them they have such a bug discography it's kinda scary ngl.

hehe yes they absolutely are 🙂‍↕️ best dynamic of any group of people i have ever had the joy to witness. i see how it’s a bit intimidating with their five million songs—when i got into them in 2015 they had 10 years less songs and it still took me weeks to listen to everything and process what i’d heard 🥹 i started out from first album to most recent and i stand by that method bc i firmly believe that the best shinee-listening experience is going full album by full album, just because their entire concept is the fact that their entire concept changes from comeback to comeback (and if i might add in my extremely biased opinion: they do each one masterfully so a shinee album is a neat little thematically coherent delicious package). so i’ll give you a few of my fav albums and you can play a few songs and see what you like! if you come up with some songs you enjoy and wanna hear more of the vibe just lmk and i can expand on my recs.

if you prefer rnb (especially the 00s absolutely desperate ice box by omarion style which just so happens to be my personal favorite) i would go for their first album (the shinee world), with my faves being romantic, replay (ie their debut song and THE quintessential shinee song), graze, and (plug for jonghyun aka one of my fav vocalists ever) y si fuera ella (highly recommend you watch the performance! the thing about shinee is their live performances will always beat the studio versions literally every time)

another shinee classic and prob among my top 3 albums too is 1 of 1 - the concept was broadly ‘retro’ and has sounds reminiscent of mostly the 90s (with some 80s vibes definitely mixed in there if you ask me). the title track is a DELICIOUS nostalgic type (called 1 of 1) and i LOVE shift (this song is mainly why i don’t like to stick to the 90s shtick while describing 1of1 bc it is SO 80s to me—produced by LND noise!) and prism (co-produced by jonghyun and a must-listen if you ask me. again. i encourage watching a live performance bc they’re just. so. good)

also top 3 shinee albums for me and one i have a tattoo for no less so im legally obligated to mention it: Odd! it was a musical turning point for shinee and a comeback to their rnb sound (you must understand between this and their first album they’d BEEN on their eurovision grind with music such as lucifer, ring ding dong, and everybody which is absolutely still enjoyable and arguably got them the most awards/fame/recognition which is why i won’t mention those bc i assume you’ve heard them however! if you haven’t give them a listen you won’t regret it… i think!). anyway odd gave us the summer mega hit that is VIEW.. another must listen if you don’t already know her. and ODD EYE written and produced by jonghyun (are we sensing a pattern here?) which truly.. live performance.. please.. (pattern sensors? anyone?). PLUS i have to mention the repackage that features married to the music as one of their most fun concepts (halloween in the middle of the summer! only shinee 🙂‍↕️)

honestly i feel like i need to stop here because otherwise we will be here all night which i obviously don’t mind but my goal was to make this whole thing LESS intimidating. if you prefer listening to the most popular songs first someone made this great playlist which gives you a good overview of how their vibe changed over the years. happy listening and please do get back to me with thoughts and opinions if you so wish! 🩵
