haia omg i have no idea if you're still open or no but i really like whenever writers dive into the more darker aspects of a character or how especially when a process of basically ascending to something what you would consider non human (monarch in this case) and how this affects a character like does this make them less humane or posssiblllyy twist their morals??

like as we can see with jinwoo his morals is err well yeah there but we can see times where he is willing to commit crimes if the time calls it (often the system forcing him to it) but like what happens when he finally swallows the system as a whole?? LIKE since now there is no third party to force him to do murder or what not will his way of thinking change too? like i imagine when he first murdered the guys in the cave very early on in the series you think that maybe he thought that it wasn't that bad..??

I can honestly see it more if it was another scenario and we add in the aspect of the reader or I'll call [name] whwhw.. I feel like Jinwoo is the type to actually lose his sense of humanity just for the sake of [name] or keeping them safe like the two probably was close but had to separate in their own ways but when they meet again [name] can barely recognzie Jinwoo and i dont mean physically or what not it's more like he lost his warmth and seems more... unsettling.. like do you know the feeling of watching those analogue horror or watching anything eerie and you get that feeling that somethings off in a scene that seems normal but you know something is OFF. yeah i feel like that's what [name] would feel ✊.

Just this week, I had to interact with extremely racist rhetoric about Asians with a de-ager that genuinely put me in a bad spot mentally, but i dud it becayse i thought that person coud be educated. Since 2021, I've had to watch as droves of people commented & replied & posted racist, xenophobic, biphobic arguments about JayJon simply because they didn't enjoy teen Jon. Arguments saying Jay, who in the story is an immigrant freedom fighter, is a terrorist. Arguments saying Jon right now is better off dead which mocked teen Jon fans for finding any aspect of Jon's bisexuality relatable.

I've been trying to be polite & mostly keeping my thoughts offline the wider Internet & public platforms for YEARS. I know of multiple POC (specifically Asian) Jon & Jay stans who have had to go inactive or delete accounts, because certain people have decided even EXPRESSING, merely saying you like Jon as he is now warrants a witch hunt & microaggressions which they assume is "harmless" because they're unwilling to examine any of their own biases. On top of that, rn many queer DC creatives are also constantly getting harassed and literal war criminals are being upheld as good writers, purely for fanon ship reasons.

Do you have any idea how fucking tiresome it is, to fight conservatives who want my meager rights gone online spewing homophobia because Superman came out, alongside comic fans who gladly take up similar arguments just to get their headcanons to be real? Do you have any idea the mental toll it takes, seeing a character who represents real life struggles of fighting against colonialism who LOOKS so much like thousands of queer POC kids, be called a terrorist & a villain because he is in love with a white character?? Not for any grand reason. SOLELY because he's paired with Jon.

Why should we be nice & polite when all it has gotten me in return is trying to explain to people that hey calling freedom fighters terrorists in a story about US hegemony and saying the bi rep is "not correct" is just fuelling bigotry?

But when teen Jon fans make stupid jokes & give slight pushback, we're the bad guys.

You are not the victim. There's literally thousands of you and like, 10 of us who consistently post. DC comics does not have a grand agenda against you, white boy character enjoyer.

The least we ask for is to leave us alone & just let us enjoy canon Jon in peace but we can't post a meta thread or fanart or fucking ANYTHING without people calling us fake fans & throwing in a little bigoted comment to top it all off. Block us. Again, there's like 10 accounts.

Hello! This is my (lengthy) tutorial for how I make GIFs for stimblr using Photopea. It's not going to be as extensive as how I make for shows, celebrities, etc, because I have different processes for both, however I'm still aiming to cover everything I think necessary!

It'll be split into multiple sections with headers, so feel free to skip whatever you want if you don't find it necessary :•] Reblogs appreciated if you found it useful, but no pressure obviously!

2. Importing into Photopea

There are two ways to import into Photopea, the first is importing footage directly, and the second is screencapping (which I won't cover in detail, but this tutorial is for installing the program I use on mac & how to use it, and this is for installing on windows)

Option 1: Importing footage directly (see end for comments)

On the home page of Photopea, you'll want to click "Open from computer", and select your clip, upon selecting you'll be presented with a popup like below

All that really matters here is where you see "30 FPS", that's the videos native frame rate. I always put whatever that number is as my frame rate because I find it to be the best, but you can use different presets (Like ezgif, which gives you 12, 20, etc). The less frames you have, the chopper it will be. If you plan to slow it down later, I'd also recommend having more frames so it looks smoother after slowing.

Now you just have to wait for it to load all the frames, then you're set!

Option 2: Importing screencaps

This is my personal way of doing things, so this is assuming you've installed a screencapping program and already have your frames ready.

For this, when you click "open from computer", select the first frame and open it by itself. Once that's loaded, look in the top left at the "File" tab, select "Open & Place", then ctrl + shift to select the rest of your frames. Once they've all loaded in, you can either rasterize them now, or wait until after cropping and resizing (goes faster then).

What's important though, is ctrl + shift to select all your layers, in the top left open the "Layer" tab, hover over "Animation" at the bottom to expand it, and select "Make frames". With your frames still selected, hit the folder button in the bottom left.

Without this, Photopea won't recognize this as an animation, therefore you'll be unable to export it as a GIF.

3. Making the GIF

3A. Cropping

To begin with cropping, select the crop tool, which is the fifth one down on the left bar (if you hover over, it will say the name), or the "C" key on the keyboard.

Along the top now, you should have some new options. The dropdown menu that says "Free" is going to be how you select an aspect ratio or fixed size, and I always set to 1:1 since most people on stimblr use square GIFs, but you can do whatever works for you! Make sure to leave "Delete uncropped pixels" unchecked, because that lets you move stuff around later without having to recrop.

Crop your animation down as you see fit, then either hit the enter key, or the check button along the top bar. If you're unhappy with the placement, you can undo it OR, select all your layers, then use the move tool (First icon on the left, or the "V" key) and drag it around as you see fit.

3B. Resizing

With all your layers selected still, open the "Image" tab in the top left, towards the bottom select "Image Size", then select what you want to resize to.

Tumblr's exact GIF sizing

1 per row: 540px

2 per row: 268px

3 per row: 177px

HOWEVER. For stim GIFs, I find the quality difference so negligible, you can resize to what you want. It's also better for it to be bigger and scale down, then smaller and scale up. For this reason, I typically do 268px no matter what, or 300px.

As far as resampling goes, leave it turned on, and I personally leave it on bilinear, but the different options vary slightly, so experiment and see what works for you!

If you're happy at this step, go ahead and skip down to exporting! But when doing this way, I do recommend sharpening for better quality at smaller size.

4. Sharpening the GIF

The fun thing about this section is you get to experiment and find what works for you! I'll give you my personal method, but you can play around, add and remove bits, etc until you get something you're happy with!

4A. High pass

High pass is my personal favorite way to sharpen GIFs, and for stim GIFs I'll often use only this.

(Steps 1-3 in image) To do, start by right clicking the *Folder* all your frames are in, and select "Duplicate Layer". Select all the frames in Only the folder on top, then go to the "Filter" tab along the top left, hover over "Other", and select "High Pass". The grey look is entirely normal! I normally set my high pass at 2-4, but play around with this step and find something you like!

Select the *Folder* all your high pass frames are in, and change the blending mode (fourth step in image) to "Soft Light", it should be on "Pass Through" initially. With that done, you've used high pass on your GIFs! If you're content here, skip the next section about smart sharpening, and see about merging animation folders under it.

4B. Smart Sharpen

Note: I recommend testing your sharpening settings on one layer BEFORE applying them to all layers, as it will be easier on your computer.

I utilize this in addition to high pass usually, but you can do it all by itself as well! To begin, select all the frames in your folder (if you used high pass, select the frames in the *Bottom* folder). Open the "Filter" tab on the top left, hover over "Sharpen", and select "Smart Sharpen". Now find what you like!

For stim GIFs, if I used high pass, I'll go for 75-110% amount, and a .1 radius. I personally don't like the look of an over sharpened GIF, so I only use smart sharpen if I want to enhance some small details high pass didn't touch enough, which is why I use so little. If you don't like high pass, you might use more here!

4C. Combining animation folders

If you used high pass, you'll notice you have two animation folders. To fix this, select both folders using ctrl + shift, open the "Layer" tab, hover over "Animation", and select "Merge". It will give you a popup to confirm, and you can go ahead and accept!

If you don't merge these, Photopea will think they're two GIFs in one document, rather than only one, which is why this step is so important.

As a note, once you merge these folders, you can no longer shift the frames around to change where they are in the crop like you could earlier.

5. Coloring (Image Heavy)

This section is going to be less of a tutorial and more a basic rundown of the adjustment layers and what they do. Coloring will change from GIF to GIF, and you can do light or intense coloring, so this is just a guide to begin with, but really just play around and find what you like!

To access the adjustment layer menu, in the bottom right where "New Folder" was, the one directly next to it that looks like a circle made of two half-circles, will bring up your adjustment layers.

As a note, I always group my adjustment layers in a folder above my animation, for ease of hiding to compare with and without.

5A. Levels

Levels is one I almost *Always* use on a GIF because it makes it look cleaner to me. In the first box, sliding the black square on the left *increases* the blacks, sliding the white square on the right *increases* the whites, and the one in the center changes the general brightness up or down.

Sliding the black box on the bottom bar *decreases* the blacks, sliding the white box *decreases* the whites.

If you change the channel from RGB to another option, you can change the balance of reds/cyans, greens/magentas, or blue/yellows, I personally don't touch this for stim GIFs. In the RGB channel, I set the top black box at ~10, and the top white box at ~245 usually.

5B. Curves

This is another way of adjusting brightness, blacks and whites, or color balance. By adjusting the dot in the bottom corner you adjust blacks, the top corner adjusts whites, and if you make a dot in the center, it adjusts general brightness! You can also make multiple dots to separately adjust some values. By changing the channels, you adjust color channels rather than white/black.

5C. Exposure

This is another way of adjusting the lights and darks of the GIF. Sliding the exposure up and down will add/take away light from the lighter parts of your images. Adjusting the gamma correction up and down will add/take away shadow from the darker parts of your image. Offset increases/decreases the brightness of the whole thing but I almost never use it.

5D. Vibrance

Vibrance is what I like to think of as a "softer" way to increase intensity of colors, instead of using a Hue/Saturation layer. It affects warmer colours more intensely than cooler colours, whether you use the vibrance or saturation slider. The saturation slider here is more intense than the vibrance one, but less intense than saturation in a Hue/Saturation layer.

5E. Hue/Saturation

This one is simple! Sliding the hue slider changes the colour, sliding the saturation slider increases/decreases saturation, and sliding the lightness is basically like directly adding black/white to a color. I use lightness only sparingly.

What's cool here, is you can adjust the range to target a specific batch of colours! If you find your reds are too bright compared to everything else, you can target the saturation of them specifically.

5F. Color balance

This is a simple way to adjust the base colors of an image, by changing it to be more cyan or red, magenta or green, or yellow and blue. This can be useful for making a GIF appear warmer or cooler!

I almost only touch the shadows & midtones, and highlights sparingly. "Preserve Luminosity" preserves the highlights and shadows of the image, so by unchecking it, you can achieve some more intense results.

5G. Black & White

The black and white layer is useful because you can change exactly how light or dark a color appears after making it black and white. For that reason, I prefer it over a gradient map if I need to make something black and white.

5H. Photo filter

Photo filter is a simple way to add a color filter over the entire image, and adjust how strong or weak it is. "Preserve luminosity" once again just keeps the darks and whites of the original GIF.

5I. Channel mixer

I couldn’t even begin to cover channel mixer here, but this is for very intense color edits (I typically use it when I'm trying to make a GIF fit a board). However, here's another tutorial solely about channel mixer if you're interested in taking a crack at it!

5J. Selective color

Finally, selective color allows you to adjust the amounts of color or lightness/darkness of a specific batch of color.

By changing the color channel, you can affect different batches of color. The cyan slider controls cyan/red, the magenta slider controls magenta/green, the yellow slider controls yellow/blue, and the black slider controls black/white.

Checking the "absolute" is essentially like "Preserve Luminosity" in the other layers. With absolute, it's like shifting the color one way or the other, and without absolute, it's like adding to the pre-existing color.

6. Exporting and Optimization

6A. Exporting

With all that done, we're ready to finish it up! To finish your GIF, open the "File" tab in the top left, go to "Export As", and select GIF!

Here you can rename, adjust the size (WILL ruin the sharpening you did), the quality (I leave at 100%), and the speed.

Another important thing to note is the "Dither". If you leave dither off, you can potentially encounter color banding, which is where (typically gradients) with look like strips of color, rather than smooth. This is because GIFs only have 256 colors they can render, so if something has too many, it bands.

By checking dither, it can get rid of color banding, at the cost of dots on the image (around where the worst color banding is usually). Sometimes the dots aren't noticeable and this is the better option, however it will Also increase your file size. It's up to you if you want to use it!

6B. Optimization

This is technically an optional step, as tumblr's GIF size limit is 10mb, so as long as you're under that, you can post, however, smaller GIFs load faster and I personally find are better for use in stimboards where you're loading a lot of GIFs! So to help this, let's head on over to the optimize section of ezgif. My personal goal is UNDER 4.5MB, ideally under 4MB.

The two main things I recommend are Lossy GIF, or removing frames, and I always start with Lossy GIF. I do anywhere from 5-15, and usually this will bring down GIFs a lot if you made them in Photopea! My example GIF was 6.7 MB to begin with, and afterwards it was 4.2MB.

However if you find that to be not enough, you can remove frames. When you remove frames, it speeds the GIF up, so I also recommend slowing it down (this is why I set my frames high in the beginning as well). I typically do "Remove every 4th frame" and slow it down to 75%-85%.

7. End results, and misc tips and comments

(source) The first GIF is without sharpening/colouring, the second is with sharpening but no colouring, and the third is with sharpening and colouring. I didn't color it much besides making it slightly warmer, but I hardly ever do much anyways!

As for misc comments:

In firefox, when you import footage directly, sometimes it glitches and tries to load 4000 blank frames, which is extremely resource intensive on a computer. The solution is import the footage in chrome, save as PSD, then open the PSD in firefox. (Or work in chrome but why do that /half silly). The other solution is screencap which I do since I do this often, but both work fine.

In firefox, sometimes you're unable to slow the GIF down upon export and it will export faster than it actually is. Slowing the video down to 50% restores it to native speed I've found, and you can do this in ezgif before other optimization.

When colouring, my number one tip is slide something all the way up first, then adjust down! By seeing it at max, you have a better idea of what's getting adjusted.

And that concludes our tutorial! My apologies for the length, but I wanted to cover every possible thing here. It definitely seems like a lot, much more than working in ezgif, but when you get used to what you're doing, it goes extremely fast (even if you spend extra time screencapping). I personally find it worth it for the ability to sharpen GIFs alone, but as well as more detailed coloring opportunities.

I hope @angelbabyspice sees this message, because I want to tell her a few things: 1. "I don't want to see it" Nobody is forcing you to see it. You are free to scroll right past it, just as we are free to blaze a post if we so wish. We all see things we don't want to see, but we are smart enough to know that we have the ability to look away and move on with our lives. You are making the choice to not only look at art you don't like, but to obsess over it to the point that you spend hours of your time harassing those who create and share it. I have posted 21 works, though I very recently deleted one of them because I had initially put it up as an Evil Author Day offering and it's been reshaped enough since then that I felt it was time to let the old version go. Plus, I'd initially meant for it to be part one of a three-part arc, and that arc has since changed to feature a different pairing entirely, so...

Every single one of them. It may take me months to do so, but every comment brings me joy, and some of my most treasured fandom moments/connections have come from comment interactions.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I don't think I have a fic that ends in angst. At the moment, Wish You Were Here might fit this bill because I've only posted the first chapter and it's about avoiding dealing with the unexpected death of a loved one. There was one I wrote for Heroes, back in the day, that was solely about Peter burning his mother alive, so yeah, that probably qualifies--it's not on AO3, though.

Do you get hate on fics?

Not so much hate, no, but every once in a while a comment might criticize a character's actions or make suggestions on how they personally would've written a scene, etc. Any outright hate I've ever received for my fics has come from a site other than AO3.

Do you write smut?

Almost exclusively. Nearly every time I'm drafting out a fic for Teen Wolf, particularly when it's Sterek, I'll have a "then sex if there's time for it" note, and Derek barges in with that determined "I'll make time" face, so...

Once, years ago. It wasn't the entire fic, but it was a sizeable chunk of one, and the names had been changed for the "author's" chosen pairing/fandom, but apparently they liked my wording so much that they didn't feel the need to come up with their own.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! Also years ago.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes indeedy. Co-writing is one of my absolute favorite ways of writing. Co-creativity is my jam, the energy feeds me. I've written KH fic with @caseyvalhalla, and I've cowritten Teen Wolf fic with my not!wife, Anna. It is my hope to continue to do so with other people, should our visions/writing styles align. I've got one fic in particular that I think at this point is going to need a co-writer so I don't lose focus.

All time favourite ship?

Sterek. I adore many other ships, some of them hold a special place in my heart and I will always come back to read them, but Sterek is the one that gripped me over a decade ago and hasn't let me go since. Like @oldefashioned said, I think it's because I love the characters individually as much as I love them together.

Other than Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski (as well as factoring in Peter Hale with any combination of the three), there's Adam Banks/Charlie Conway, Harry Potter/Draco Malfoy, Alanna/George Cooper, Dean Winchester/Sam Winchester, Nathan Petrelli/Peter Petrelli, Angel(us)/Spike, Spike/Buffy, Angel(us)/Buffy, Angel(us)/Spike/Buffy (really I could've just said any combination of the three), Arthur/Eames, Fenris/Mage Female Hawke, Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers, Riku/Sora, and most recently Maximus/Lucy MacLean, with the added complex triad factor of Maximus/Lucy/Cooper Howard.

What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I still haven't actually verged into "doubt I ever will" territory yet, but two WIPs that have been begging to be finished for a while now are Wish You Were Here (Kingdom Hearts) and Light Up as If You Have a Choice (Dragon Age: Origins).

What are your writing strengths?

I don't know. Dialogue? Establishing a setting? That answer might require a survey from other people who actually bother to read my fics.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Not being able to move on until I have a scene "perfect." If I'm stuck on getting from Point A to Point B, I am mentally incapable of jumping ahead to Point C--it is Point B or Point Bust.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I tend to avoid it if the translation starts to read too much like an index, or like I'm writing a conversation twice over. However, if the other language is vital to the narrative (i.e. a character says something in a language they know the other person won't understand, etc.) then yes, I write it in that language, rather than something like, "'blah blah,' he said in Polish."

Favorite fic you've written?

Depending on the fandom, Freaks and Fools was a Kingdom Hearts fic I co-wrote, and more recently, I'd have to say my favorite Teen Wolf fic to write is a toss-up between You Gotta Promise Not to Stop When I Say When and My Echo, My Shadow, and Me. Promise because it is just me writing myself via Stiles, wishing I had a Derek; Echo because I'd wanted to write an alternate version of season 3a for a while, and I finally got to do it, thanks to the Sterek Reverse Bang.

Im no creator or anything, but that last part you wrote about how the internet is becoming a lonely place…i kinda feel that. Most likely not in the same sense you do, but everywhere the release of new and newer stuff and media is on the forefront, AI is rising and making the release even faster (at the cost of quality most of the time) and it‘s just…there‘s no appreciation anymore? Nobody stops to listen or see or engage with stuff because newer music or art or anything really is coming out and everyone wants to keep up. Communities or fanbases become short lived and that‘s for the huge pieces, and the smaller ones kinda seem to just…fall behind and are forgotten

Engagement also seems to have become somewhat precarious. That‘s solely an opinion of mine, but whenever I hear what creators have to deal with due to the animosity made possible by the internet…it‘s just sad. And as such, I for one don‘t want to bother anyone and so I feel like not wanting to say the wrong thing and in the worst scenario cost an artist some motivation or joy (yes, Im aware, me sending an ask anonymously is a bit ironic, but that‘s mostly my anxiety peaking)

Yeah, I totally agree about everything going way too fast. Over the last few years I REALLY began hating the binge-format brought on by streaming services, ever since I noticed how quickly communities die out after new shows air because of it. I remember a lot of people complaining when certain ones like hbomax and disneyplus decided to release their shows weekly instead of all at once, but I actually felt relieved and excited by the idea, because it meant we'd all actually have time to digest and truly appreciate what we were seeing and have actual discussions around it like we used to.

It's why I describe the feeling I get when people simply leave a quick "like" on my art without actual engagement with me and my work as "consumption." I don't fault people for doing it on occasion, I get sometimes we just like what we see and don't have much to say about it and that's that, I certainly do the same thing sometimes. But when it's constantly the only form of recognition I'm getting, it really starts to feel like I'm not being seen as a person behind the screen, that my work was churned out for instant individual gratification with no extra thought behind it.

This feeling started to get really, really bad with the rottmnt fandom in particular actually, which is why I swore off making any more fanart for it. Seeing several strangers discover me, spam-like through my blog on all my fanart posts, ignore everything else, no reblogs, no comments, and not even follow me afterwards, it really began to leave a bad taste in my mouth and made me super uncomfortable. It was happening literally every day for months at one point, after the movie came out. It made me feel like a content mill, and I very nearly deleted every single one of my fanart posts because of it. I'm hesitant to jump into making fanart for any other fandoms now too, because I don't want that to happen again.

As for what you said about the way people treat artists making you nervous to engage yourself, in worry that you'll bother them or make it worse- tbh, I think your recognition of that makes it even more important for you to say what you want to say? Art is a form of communication. Artists are looking for community, when we share our work to the world. We're always bound to not be understood or treated fairly, when you open yourself up like that. Whether that's feeling hated, or ignored, or disrespected, I think every positive comment left by someone who enjoyed what they saw helps to drown out those bad experiences. It's all we're ever looking for, to know that our effort meant something to someone.

I totally get where you're coming from with your anxiety, but I truly think you could only do more good than harm by letting someone know that you liked something they put a lot of love and effort into creating. I always reblog art that I like over on my personal blog, and I try to leave little comments in the tags whenever my brain's not totally fried after an 8 hour shift at my job, lol. It doesn't even need to be anything specific! I try to do that for people when I can because I know how happy it makes me feel when someone else does that for me. :)

I actually don’t know about that. It seems a little too convenient that “you went to school with chucky” as we are talking about her alleged behavior in school. This is one of those things an anon said about “taking everything with a grain of salt”. I really don’t believe you, as this could be another one of Alex’s bored fans trying to “confirm” a rumor that’s going around (and was most definitely started by fans around the same time as the other blog posted that ask) all you have to do is check the dates, and if you were around on that blog at the time of the rumors starting you would know that. But unfortunately people would rather be bullies because they like a celebrity that they can’t have so they have to make other people look bad or crazy (because deep down they know that’s what they are) this blog isn’t even relevant enough for many people to know about (stated by the admin themselves) if it was, there would be several people in his comments “warning” Alex about his “awful” girlfriend, not just the 1 lana account, or the account spamming gifs, which I’m pretty sure are the same person. And the only reason the admin wants you to “please not” spam his posts with that type of stuff is because they know this blog is wrong, and if Alex or johanne found out about it, it would most likely get deleted. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, and you’re absolutely right — you’re within your right not to trust everything you read online. But I believe everyone around here already knows that and it’s up to them to decide for themselves what to believe or not. However, stating one’s opinions (or even stories) on a gossip blog doesn’t make anyone a bully. Bullying would be to personally attack/harass Johanne, Alex and/or anyone related to them, or inciting others to do so. Which I personally do not condone.

Now please, do not pretend to know me or my motivations and do not twist my intentions. The reason I advise people not to “spam his posts with that type of stuff” is because I personally don’t agree with it, as it can be considered bullying, as aforementioned. I know how to separate things, and believe that it’s one thing to have an opinion and discuss it among ourselves, where it doesn’t hurt anyone, and it’s another thing to actually go and take the time to spread negativity/hate on their pages. To put it simply, let’s make a parallel with the physical world — think of this blog as a tea house, where friends and like-minded people gather to discuss things and voice their opinions, in a fun, judgment-free, lighthearted way. No one’s harming anyone at the end of the day, so it would be okay. However, would it be okay for any of us to enter Johanne’s house and tell her “I don’t like you, because you did so and so… and you’re ugly, and your attitude sucks!”? Would you do that to a neighbour you don’t like? Or would you just choose to ignore them and go about your day, occupying your time with more pleasant things? So, this is my reasoning behind advising people against doing that on her IG. Do you have to agree with it? Absolutely not! At the end of the day, I’m not anyone’s mother or teacher, so you’re totally free to ignore my advice. I’m only responsible for my beliefs and my own actions anyway. 🤷‍♀️

But as you can see, none of it has to do with knowing that this blog is “wrong” or being afraid of Alex & Johanne not liking it. As long as there are celebrities, there will always be gossip blogs and magazines, some more relevant than others. Do you truly believe celebrities like those? I bet most of them really don’t, especially when the news/gossip aren’t flattering, but the public does, and continues to engage with them. So as long as there’s interest, such spaces will always exist. Besides, if things got deleted or ceased to exist just because someone has a problem with them, there wouldn’t be many blogs, books, movies, tv shows, artwork, etc… around anyway. 🤷‍♀️ It’s impossible to please everyone at the same time, and that’s a fact. What’s also a fact is that the only one with power to delete the blog (besides myself) is Tumblr, and according to its guidelines, there’s nothing wrong with this blog. As long as I’m aware, I’m living in a free country (and assume you are too), where freedom of speech is everyone’s right. No rules are being infringed — I personally checked, and you’re free to do so as well. Hope that helps. 😘

(And if you really think this blog is so “wrong”, wouldn’t it be wiser to find some other content which is more “right” for you? Or is being here some kind of guilty pleasure? 😉)

Scaler Academy Review with Proof

Hello community, I am one of the ex-Scaler students from the April Batch. I got a job from Campus Placement and I got only one referral in the entire one year. Sadly, I need to pay them, hence I wanted to make people aware of some facts backed with proof, so that they do-not fall into this trap. I have seen a lot of things written about Scaler in the recent month. Scaler came out in public with a video on "What we do and Why we do", where they said their curriculum is focused on learning and not on jobs. But they end up getting disappointed, like most of us in our did.

In India, rarely people will come out in open to speak, because no-one wants to risk their future, so do I. People join such courses thinking that we do not need to pay now, we will pay when we get job. Hence they just join without giving it a second thought. But the main disappointment starts when you start paying installments for 24 months without getting any help to land up a job from the people whom you are paying. Let me bring to you some interesting facts about Scaler which proves that they sell their course on referrals and maximum people do join Scaler thinking that.

Their course costs you around 4.5L if you have a job paying around 15L base. It might cost you more if you have a good base salary. It is 15% of your base for 24 months.

We were near about 200 people in our April Batch who joined for the sake of a backup that Scaler might help us. Gradually with time, it appeared to us that they were hoping for us to get a placement on own rather then putting efforts to place us. Once we guys got a placement on own, the EMI plan was setup immediately, and they blacklisted us for future referrals since we crossed the slab. They say that they will keep referring us, but they don't once you are placed. The sole reason is they have got their money from you.

Only referrals were provided to Amazon which is considered to be a mass recruiter in India now, and every 3/10th people on Linkedin provides you a referral. Referrals to Lido learning was provided, but the people from my batch backed of, because the company had a legal case running. However some did join it, after joining those people had to use their laptops in work, they were not even provided with laptops, and those people are paying their installments and are really upset with the way they were cheated.

They state that they have 500 partner companies with them in their website. This is one of the other lies they have been spreading, they hardly have 8-10 companies, and they also hire a max of 10 people every year. If they had 500 partner companies, why were referrals not provided to us, May and June batch for Uber, Booking.com, Netflix, Google, Facebook, Tower Research etc?

In their recent video they released, if you ask them about referral stats, or anything is posted which goes against them, you will find that comment deleted withing an hour. Their new batch started this week, where to enroll people they published a blog which claims that 97% people were placed from the batch. The moment you take the entrance test and select people, you know those people are some of the best talents in India and will get a job. They released their placement stats, where you will not find a company which they mention in the above image.

Moreover they have not added a stat count on how many referrals did they provided to FAANG or other companies, which they boast of during the enrollment. The companies listed below are not even the names they mention in their websites. They have added 4 count to Amazon placed people in the name of PPO just to fool people around and boast them of fake numbers. Amazon Interns have confirmed that Amazon never confirms PPO chances before the internship ends. Moreover, Amazon did a intern drive for entire India and this was open to all. They claim to refer people to De-Shaw. What they simply do is, they go on to Careers site of De-Shaw and fill up your application form, and you get a test link(saying this because referral test of De-shaw is of 70 minutes, and the career site test is of 100 minutes). Then they term this as a company referral. Link to blog.

They have banners which states that there are all the top people teaching the course. Truth is, the people in the banner hardly take 3/4 classes each for the sake of the banner they posted. Most of the classes are taken by some guy who is not that good, or someone who is graduating in 2020 without any industry experience. Previously they gave good slabs to people joining them, they have started giving slabs of 7/8 to the new batches, which is a clear indication that they do not have companies to refer too.

They have some set of mentors who take the mentor sessions for the sake of 1.5K that they get per session. On an average every guy does 7-10 sessions. This is because whenever you approach Scaler for referrals, they will carve out a reason of the ground. Sometimes it will be, your problem % is less, sometimes your attendance, sometime your mentor session is less. And at the end when they are not left with reasons, they come up "What we do?, Why we do?". They claim they spend lacs of rupees for every student, hence their fees is that high. Let me bring you up some calculations.

Average 8 mentor sessions costs 1500 * 8 = 12k.(Source: Mentor). Everyday a class is taken by an instructor who teaches roughly 50 people(50 because most of the people do not join classes after 2/3 weeks) for 2.5 hours. In India, the average fees for an instructor teaching is 3k/hour at a maximum(it is 2k/hour on average). Lets take 10k. So 10k/200 = Rs 50 per day. Every month they have 20 classes, at max they will have 140 classes in 6 months. I have taken the extreme higher limit of everything. Which eventually costs you 7k across 6 months. Since they are not providing you with referrals, I am not adding any money count to it. They for sure do-not have 500 partner companies, lets round off 12 + 7 = 19k to 25k. The profit margin which they are making is immense, 4.5L — 25k is 4.25L per student. I say per student because, maximum people will eventually get placed with the talent they possv when you are binding them for 1.5 years under you in the name of a contract.

I started practicing at Interview-Bit in my second year. I was so pleased with the platform they had then. Then the Scaler thing came up giving us so many hopes. But eventually it is all about making money. The so known good guys(Abhimanyu and Anshuman) are exploiting Indian talent to earn big. This needs to stop. I will urge everyone to share this post as much as you can, the exploitation of talent needs to stop.

Dating apps are trash

i should probably do an intro post, but I doubt anyone is going to find this page so ..no!

so anyone who has Reddit knows that you get random recommended posts. So I got one that was titled *My Dating Experience as an ugly guy* MY INTEREST WAS PEAKED!

He explained that he barely gets matched on Tinder, so as one does, I started going through the comments.

So ofc, it had the men saying that he is better off touching grass, or switching from Tinder to hinge ( the same thing), saying he probs needs to brush up his picture-taking skills blah blah blah. When really THE APP IS TRASH! It is solely based on beauty standards. A person will always watch to see if you are attractive before they look at your bio.

The app is like a drug. You go on the first time and the high of potentially finding someone gives you this adrenaline rush that you find yourself swiping endlessly, you delete for 3 months cause you don't get any matches and then u go back. It's literally this circular cycle.

Let's say you happen to match.

They either hit you with a cheesy line that goes nowhere or you realize the person has ZERO personality, and I think ppl always expect this big rush of love when they first meet someone like "oh my gosh when he messaged, we hit it off instantly and I was in love" GIRL BYE. That does not happen to everyone please be fr. For some ppl, it takes days to years to develop feelings. AND THAT'S OKAY WTH!

But idk, from bumble to Grindr they ALL function the same way. Plus so many people, especially women, are moving away from dating apps because of danger. So all in all, when you join these apps please do not be delusional.

*When it comes to all my 80's playlists I try so hard to keep the songs in that time frame but I have broken that over time XD but mainly it is still a good 80's mix. Is this love that im feeling: yes course this gonna be about Casey. Raphael just thought he had no real interest in romance why would he after all? He is a mutant turtle? maybe if there was a female mutant turtle? But even then he had doubts. The only time he kind of liked a girl was when he was hit with a love potion after all. He didn't seem to like girls so he wondered if he liked well men instead? based off his own comments he thought were just jokes. Then in came Casey Jones. Who he fell for pretty quick sure at first he found them nuts but he was attacking his brothers. And it didn't stop him from fighting Casey again later. But didn't keep Raph once they had a more friendship going on to wonder what was there. Turns out it was love its why he changed his tune to like Casey clearly. I also just like it for when he and Casey date. Sure loving someone is enough to date them but dating is how you see if you continue to love them. And that what Raph figured out. Also I like to think this is a song Raph would sign towards Casey uwu

Beat it: I find it funny and clear proof others don't watch the 87's series. Cause they have this weird outlook of Raph not lighting ti fight or being a fighter. And I agree he isn't looking to pick a fight but he is fucking petty and will start a fight. Raph is a very "I didn't start it but i'll finish" it type of fighter in this series. So a good song about throwing down to fight seems fitting for Raph's rude behavior.

Hercules: Generally I love this song because it really works to dip into Raph's need to protect. It's not just in a physical way either Raph despite calling himself a lone wolf is someone who really just looks out and cares for others. He comes off selfish and uncaring but then you see how he is quick to put others before himself. Down plays anything going on with him but will put more worry into it for others. He loves to have space but is quick to try and reach out to someone else if he feels they need it. His stubborn ass is what makes him so loyal he has so much faith in others. He really will shield others from harm when they can't themself.

Brother: I love this song for TMNT in generally because a brotherhood is just such a strong theming for the series. BUT I'm directing this to his brothers. Raph's heart is one of four, his brothers are his whole world. Anything happens to one of them? and best look out he will die if it meat protecting his brother or getting revenge for them. Raph can seem harsh and distract but in the moments that matter most? he is the one by his brothers sides first. When need be he will step up into leader role so to make sure the rest are safe if Leo isn't around like when Leo left to see the Ancient one and they got attacked by Karai. One thing you don't get between is Raph and his brothers even when Raph distances himself them he knows they have him and he knows they know he has them. Why they count on him and will call out for him when needed especially Donnie.

I'll be good: It's not secret that Raph is his own worst critic. It's why I feel Splinter never got on Raph's case as much as he dose Leo during Leo's emo arc. Splinter will step in if Raph's going to far and offer advice but he knows no amount of scolding is anywhere as bad or deep hitting as what. It's hard for Raph to understand where his anger comes from. He wants to protect his family and it scares him to see how big the world is out there if they stayed in a much smaller area easier to maintain it be easier to protect them. Raphael just feels like he can't do right he fears being the one to hurt his brothers why he has nightmares of him being the shredder. He regrets any fight he has with Leo, the times he went to far with Mikey hell he got regrets with Donnie too. He wants to be good he wants to be more positive like Mikey can be but he just can't he feels something wrong he feels if he could cut into himself deep enough maybe just maybe he can find what it is and take it out.

My best friends ex: I couldn't give up the last three for this song but didn't wanna leave it out XD. Raph and Von's friendship in 03 verse is just so damn good to me I love it I love them being besties so much. It's funny cause I feel you wouldn't see these two being so close. But I think Von just not caring to fall for the image Raph sets up allowed her to get close to Raph. Maybe cause of her background who knows. Just in my mind if Von ever dated anyone outside Donnie they knew/or knew about Raph that friend thats hates them funnier if Raph don't know them he hates them uwu.

Raphael hated that they were told they couldn't basically go on with their lives with Leo gone. Raph lost a good source of his distractions because of that and struggled with things going on with himself. Slowly he started to make things worse shut out his family, and pushing away those who he needed most. Donnie someone who always makes him feel a bit more grounded. But Raph lost his footing. Casey someone who always made him feel loved and needed. But Raph didn't love himself or feel he was needed. Night Watcher was so easy for him to hide anyway into. If he was the Night Watcher he didn't need to be anything more.

wannabe: Why this song? how do a spice girl song fit Raph. I feel like each of the adults have had moments where they are watch both Summer and Ariel on their own. Raph's soft for the two on their own as is. When they are together? He might as well be a floor mat for them. Just image them in a classic moment of the girls finding a way to rope Raph into thier antic and feel one is singing along to songs well messing around. Raph can act like he dont wanna be part of thier sleep over antics but I feel Casey walked in and found Raph singing along to the Spice girls with his daughters. XD basically it more a song that just makes me think of Raph in a parental route.

Killing me: May seem a bit misleading on how Im gonna be using this song but this is more meant for when Casey is going though his mid life crisis. You think Summer felt her dad just left? Oh trust Raphael felt the same way. But where Summer can speak on that and express how she feels Raphael will not. No different from how with his own family Raph seeing Casey going through what he was he in part knew that Casey needed to be allowed to. Raph had to go through his own stupid shit for a time. He saw Leo have to as well and even Donnie. But it wasn't easy, Raph had to keep things in home well in order. Had to make sure Summer was taken care of. Seeing Casey not in the right state. In truth I feel Raph reached out to April A LOT during this time. If he could swing it with disguises he of course takes Summer to practice himself. Raph didn't really have a support when he fell apart (he pushed them away that why) so he wanna try and give Casey the room to fall apart too and show Raph is there to help pull him back together like Casey has for him. But even Raph dose feel Casey's absence and it's killing him uwu

Lost: Some of my favorite scenes dealing with Raph are when they see Splinter get thrown down into the sewers. And in his fit of rage Mikey hugs him to snap him out of it. And again during the space arc when one the angry planet Raph once more snaps and Leo hugs him. What snapped him out of it? Love uwu. Raphael is someone seen as uncaring he is quick to say he don't like ti deal with certain emotions. He is meant to be big bad tough Raphael. Yet, he is full of pain and a feeling of being just lost. Where he should be aware he is loved and needed sometimes he needs that assurance because Raph sees the worst in himself. Raph is hurting deep down and it come out in his anger and he wishes he knew better how to handle it to even understand why it's there so sometimes a bit of affection paid his way helps. Raph isn't bad a kid hes just very unheard. It shows that he can be heard by some and it should make Raph look weak that he dose need that at times. But to him dose. He just lost in the storm always in his mind. Sometimes he just needs to grab on to someone a moment.

Sharks: It's funny how often you can mirror Raph with some of the villains. You got of course his often foil in 2012 Fish face, the more obvious Slash before he was redeemed even being shown like a worse case for what Raph could become. And of course, there is the fact he and Leo are like a new generation of Yoshi and Saki. Often I feel why Splinter is how he can when it comes to Raph's anger and complaints on Raph likes to think he is better because hes good so he should be better he wouldn't sink to their levels. But he has he can even Slash alone showed what would happen if Raph let his anger consume him too much the beast he could become if he didn't have his brothers around? Raph would become so much worse. If he didn't have family he loves and looks out for than what would he have to keep him grounded?

Fine: Raph is the stereotypical character who talks shit about love and romance. Act like he so above his brothers who more open to showing they would like to fall in love. Raph very much that person who just can't understand someone loving him because of his own self hate. And he sort of projects that on the him and his brothers Who would love them. And yet? He wants it he wants to be stupid over someone, he and try and deny how he felt for hockey playing idiots all he wants but he don't want that he wants to also turn and say he's an idiot and he feels those things too. Cause deep down Raph is just a sappy romantic. He wanna just embrace those things too given the chance. So why not go ahead and show he might have intrest in his best friend just a bit uwu

Chateu: since Raphs known casey the longest in this verse, i feel these two have had a lot of time to be all fuck this place mind set over time. Between Raphs family drama and Casey own. Raph has had Casey in his corner from day one. This is just a very nice song for Casey and Raph in general I feel ;3; they need each other, they make eachnothers hearts bear. Course, there's a reason it took them time to get together, but they been able to give up on some things thiwr hangs up and such cause they got the other ;3;

The phoenix: in truth this song I played on repeat often well playing the game it self xD It just fits!!! Anyway in universe I would say it's because Raphael is pretty goal set in the game. He feel long as they stay together as brothers they will get Splinter back because well he needs to or he will get hopless himself. I'm not erasing anyone, I am just going by actual realism and giving my answer accordingly. Learn what 'implying' means. Implying, sweetie, means to say something without saying it directly. I didn't 'imply' that this is the only way autism happens except for a one out of a million autistics. PS, learn to read all my posts, because like I pointed out, people who are trained in shooting have hearing protection whereas in real life, gang don't use that shit. There's a HUGE difference between actual survival in a setting like Fall-Out 4 and John Wick VS a shooting range with hearing protection where it's a literal controlled, safe enviroment. How thick does your skull have to be to not understand me pointing out the differences between all these scenarios I keep getting asked and actual real life? If you want to advice the other anon, on how to write a story they want to write but isn't relatable to the vast majority of the autistic community regardless of what category, subtype or whatever you are, go ahead and write a post about it on YOUR OWN BLOG. I've seen dozens of posts now asking people to reblog things, and when I check the notes it's almost all people completely missing the point in the most obnoxious way possible, or just people who genuinely aren't familiar with the sites features (and on the lowest percentage, people who know about the features but knowingly don't reblog for one reason another, which is perfectly fine, I think) But all in all the replies are usually people who feel targeted for some reason... (which you are not, ignoring the post is fine, most of you have seen it because you follow someone who reblogued it, do I need to explain to you then, the value of reblogs? just ignore it and carry on, noone has @'d you)

Anyways, I do not think people who don't want to reblog things should.

What I think is that knowledge and understanding is important. This post is aimed at people that genuinely don't understand or know. Noone else. I'm not telling you to reblog things if you don't want to. I'm explaining something to people who might really just not know the benefits of reblogguing things.

Benefits of reblogging (besides the algorithm):

- Archive: There's a risk to using "likes" as an archive. When people delete a post or their blogs, their posts WILL be deleted from your likes. Things on your likes depend on the blog you liked it from (not necessarily OP, but if it has a "readmore", which always links to OP, then consider the post lost either way). An effective way to archive that depends solely on you? A reblog. It will stay on your blog regardless of OP or whoever you reblogued it from, for as long as you keep it there.

- Encouragement: Are you here because of fandom? To see writings and fanart? If the answer is yes and you want to encourage the people who make the things you like, then reblogging is a great way to do it. It's a way to give back, and it's free.

- Ecosystem: It's just a healthy way to keep your fandom alive. You will often see artists feeling dicouraged, who delete or stop sharing their work because they only get likes. If people out there have the right not to reblog because they don't feel like it, then artists have the right to be discouraged by that sort of reception.

Reasons you might not want to reblog, and explanations:

- "Noone will see it": Factually wrong. Not everyone, but lots of people check the blogs of people who leave only likes/follow. Otherwise noone would know those blogs exist and noone would be raising a stink about it, would they? They might not follow back, but just going to your blog (because they saw you on their notifs) will already put before their eyes anything that is on it, if only for a minute. Like reblogs. So, somebody would see them.

-"I don't have any followers": If you don't want any followers, that's fair, you are doing what you should by keeping a blank blog then. If you want followers, reblogguing is a good way to do it. Often people will come across a blog that maybe doesn't post anything, but reblogs lots of things they like, and just follow. You've curated your reblogs in a way that someone decided to follow.

- "It doesn't fit the theme of my blog": Fair. I don't vibe with the posts that tell people to reblog things regardless. If you want to reblog things outside of your main blog's theme, you can make a secondary blog and reblog it there (you can make that blog a different theme too!). And if you don't want to reblog anything outside the one theme then you don't have to.

-"I don't want to spam": You don't have to! You can reblog things once a day, once a week, once a month, it's fine either way. Whether you reblog 1 thing or 200. Queueing things will automatically schedule them one hour apart I believe. But you can edit that manually by going to your queue tab, to however often you deem good.

-"I don't know what to comment": Then don't! You do not have to. A blank reblog is always preferable to none.

-"I don't want to reblog reblog bait/political stuff.": Then don't. That's far from the only thing on this hellsite. You don't have to if you don't want to.

-"I leave my likes public": Most people who go to your blog will not see them. Leaving them public or private is all the same.

-"I don't want to tag things.": Then don't. You do not have to, there's a reason this is one of the few sites that don't force you to tag anything you post. (It would be good practice to say you don't tag things in your bio though)

And finally:

-"I do not want to reblog it.": Then don't! If after reading and understanding all this, you don't want to reblog things, then don't. You have your reasons. You are using the site as you want to, knowingly. Like I said before, this post is for people who might NOT know these things.

Gang of Secrets Aftermath

Because I want it and I’m a writer so *hands you head canon post on a silver platter*

Alya hugs the absolute crap out of Marinette as she ends up sobbing into her shoulder from stress and exhaustion.

Alya is soothing Marinette, eyeing the widows, doors, and every crack an akuma could squeeze in through.

Even long after Marinette has stopped crying, they were still hugging. She took comfort in Alya’s arms around her.

“...Alya?”

“Yeah?”

“Thank you.”

Alya squeezed her tighter. Marinette deserved this.

“I’ll always be here for you, Marinette. Don’t you forget that.”

They pulled apart, Marinette wiped the tear stains off her cheeks and she huffed out a small laugh.

“I’m surprised you’re taking this so well.”

“I’m holding it in. You really needed a friend.”

Marinette smiled as she braced herself. “You can let it out now.”

Alya breathed as she stood up. She went over to Marinette’s computer and pulled up a picture of Ladybug and made it fullscreen. She looked at Marinette, then to the Ladybug picture, then back to Marinette.

*inhales*

“I... I can’t believe it! My best friend! You- You’re Ladybug! How could I have not seen it? I mean I know I couldn’t have seen it, but you’re fighting Hawkmoth and saving Paris everyday!” Alya stammers. “When? Wait I know when, but how? I just- It’s been you this whole time. Everything makes since now, you being late, odd excuses, why you picked me to be Rena Rouge. I feel like my brain is exploding!”

Marinette laughed.

Alya replayed today’s events and relaxed. “But wait, Ladybug said that she’s now the guardian when she-you gave me the necklace, which makes you the guardian. What does that even mean? Actually, no don’t tell me, it’s probably incredibly important and stressful, and you’ve been having a stressful time, I don’t want to add to that.”

Marinette sighed. “No, it’s fine, it just means I have a lot of responsibility now on top of being Ladybug.” It felt so weird to say that to her best friend, but it felt like a huge weight was being lifted off her shoulders.

“I’ll help you in any and every way I can, you can count on me.”

“Thanks Alya.”

Alya goes home and marinates with this new information.

She swore on her life that she wouldn't tell a single sole this information

As she’s pacing in her room, she’s debating on completely deleting the LadyBlog.

She ends up spending hours completely reformatting the website. Taking down the “Who’s Ladybug” posts and adding a couple of mental health posts. She makes a post about giving back to Ladybug and Chat Noir by working together to figure out who Hawkmoth is.

As she’s reviewing her LadyBlog, she finds a few old videos The first one was Ladybug noticing her in a sea of reporters and commenting her on her work on the LadyBlog (The Mime episode). Marinette did that for her, and she smiled at how sweet that was of her to do.

The second video was her first actual interview with Ladybug (also Mime). She remembered how Marinette thought she deleted the first video so she stole her phone to try to recreate it, and when she couldn’t she gave her a surprise. Alya didn’t even know how she managed to convince Ladybug to give her an interview back then but now it’s obvious. Marinette is such a good friend!

The third was about Lila, talking about how Ladybug saved her and how close the two of them are. And suddenly Marinette’s hatred for Lila made sense.

“That Bit-!”

Alya deleted the video and whipped out her phone.

Mari, I am sorry for ever trying to defend Lila and that it took me this long to realize that she’s a liar.- A

Oh yeah, I couldn’t exactly tell you that I knew that she didn’t know Ladybug because I am Ladybug-M

Again, sorry for being stupid.-A

It’s okay, at least you know now-M

Dang all the lying she’s doing for attention, I almost feel bad for her-A

Alya remembered what Lila had done.

Wait no I don’t! She got you expelled and nearly akumatized by Scarlet Moth! What a lying snake!-A

She also threatened me in the bathroom that she’d make everyone turn against me if I tried to expose her and her lies and it made me so angry that I was almost akumatized by Hawkmoth -M

I’m actually going to push her down a flight of stairs! I don’t care that you have your ladybug powers, you can’t stop me!-A

Nino also messages her, noticing the website change. Alya said that she wanted to use her skill to find Hawkmoth and help Paris civilians. Nothing more.

She spends the rest of the night staying up late researching ways to control emotions and to keep anger and other strong emotions at bay. If Hawkmoth akumatizes her, it’s all over, and she’s never going to let that happen again.

Alya falls asleep thinking about Marinette being Ladybug this whole time.

And whatever hardships Marinette had to deal with, Alya was ready to give her a boost to fight it all.
