Had to say good bye to our Dog Velho this weekend. He was the best boy. He had Cancer and we didn't know it. It ruptured and he passed on Saturday night. We are devastated. He was so good. So happy. So filled with life. I will miss my boy until the end of time.

Magic abhors memory.

Long has that been the overriding principle of our craft. The act of thaumaturgy - to summon miracles heedless of cause and effect - is one that shies away from observation and recording. We rely on tricks and mirrors to maintain our memory of magic. Setting up illogical psychological traps that force us to confront the mystical. Promises turned into enforced geas directives that entangle us in contradictions until we are forced to perish or realise what we are constantly on the verge of forgetting.

But it is possible we have been mistaken about the nature of magic. Perhaps it is not that magic refuses to be remembered.

Perhaps it is that what cannot be remembered is what we have named magic.

An academic difference, but one that implies that our craft is a doomed one. We think ourselves to be pioneers and explorers of an uncharted territory. How do we know that our trusted rituals have not failed us?
