So, some folks have probably seen by now that the trailer for Michael's appearance on The Assembly this Friday has dropped, and the first question shown is, "How does it feel to be dating with someone who's only 5 years older than your daughter?"
Already, I am seeing people clutching their pearls in response to this, particularly on Twitter. Saying that it's an inappropriate question, that this person has an opportunity to ask Michael anything and chooses this, that he looks so uncomfortable, and so on. One piece of context that seems to be missing is that (to my knowledge), none of the interviewers are fans of Michael's. They were given the opportunity to do research prior to the interview and developed their questions based on that, but none (again, AFAIK) are coming from the vantage of being a fan. So immediately, that gives a different sense of where the interviewers are coming from and how this shapes and informs the interview itself.
What also came to mind is that if Michael is uncomfortable, it's worth thinking about why that might be. It seems like a lot of fans have created this perfect portrait of Michael and Anna's relationship in their minds, so if we are to follow the logic of that--if his and AL's relationship is as sunshine and roses as many people believe it to be--then Michael might be surprised by the question, but probably wouldn't be uncomfortable. Yet in the trailer, we can see the change in his body language and the way he tenses up immediately after the question is asked. Because for as talented an actor as he is, Michael absolutely cannot seem to hide his true feelings as himself.
I also definitely think that whatever answer he gives to that question will be a PR answer. Which is not to suggest that Michael will be dishonest, but rather that he will be polite, but likely without saying what he really feels about their relationship. Again, do I think he owes anyone his full, unvarnished emotions? No, of course not. But Michael is a fully grown adult man who is more than aware of the consequences of his actions, and he does not need to be "protected" or shielded from such questions. So if fans are uncomfortable with Michael's discomfort in talking about a relationship he's been in for the last five years, it might be a good idea to think about why that is.
The other thing I wanted to mention is that the editing of the trailer is already confirming some of my previously-held fears where the autistic/neurodivergent interviewers are portrayed as rude/weird, and Michael is "so brave" for taking on the "challenge" of being interviewed by "those people." It's somehow a combination of objectifying and dehumanizing, putting us (I include myself, as an autistic person) in the category of "other" for actually saying out loud what other people are only thinking. This both entirely disregards the producers/editors tacit encouragement as part of the format of this, and Michael being willing to answer, and demonizes/places the blame on the ND interviewers instead.
That is my take on the trailer, at any rate. I still intend to watch the full show once it's released, and am hopeful that the joyful atmosphere found in other parts of the trailer will prevail throughout the show. Happy as always to hear from my followers with your thoughts, so feel free to chime in...
#michael sheen#welsh seduction machine#the assembly#still apprehensive about this#i can also feel the 'othering' vibes creeping in and it's making me uncomfortable#but i will watch and decide for myself#as well as the scapegoating that I am seeing on Twitter#people really seem to project all over Michael and AL's relationship but never really look at it for what it is#so if nothing else maybe this will be the start of that#but i will leave it to my followers to make up their own minds#anna lundberg#relationships#discourse#Youtube

do u have thoughts on tim’s autism & how he masks/doesn’t mask around ppl he’s close with? personally i think bart is his vibrating weighted blanket. this ask was brought to you by me yesterday at a concert rocking in place so violently people thought i was on molly peace and love
lord i know i DO have such thoughts but most of them infuriatingly just out of reach at the moment. (<- brain nerfed by a migraine today and also for the past like 2 weeks at this point. augh) lets see what i do got.
in general? tim drake KING of masking. his masks have masks. i dont think he really does it consciously either; i think he grows up just kinda repressing facets of himself depending on his audience and assumes everyone does that. (i don't think he ever gets a formal autism diagnosis or anything as a kid, either. even if a teacher or someone clocked him and mentioned it to his parents i don't think they'd get him any sort of child psych eval. not in the "oh theyre horrible neglectful awful abusive one dimensional figures" way, but in the "sometimes parents take the idea of their kid having any mental health or neurodivergency issues as a personal insult and then sweep them under the rug bc it is easier than addressing any of said behaviors in themselve as well" way. hopefully i am explaining this ok. and you get what i mean. its not like we know much abt janet to begin with but i just dont think jack drake the republican is particularly supportive of nd kids. this is a tangent. anyway)
so to tim i don't think he ever really consciously considers it as masking. it's more of him internally clocking and cataloguing people who are okay to express certain thoughts and behaviors around, in a whole complex categorization system in his mind. very few people get to the category of "fully free expression is allowed" in his head; even his closest friends take yeeaaars to get there. like i don't think that happens until postcanon (postcrisis no flashpoint edition).
bart is def good at being a vibrating blanket. kon is really good at being a weighted blanket (ttk makes his ability to squish people godly). cassie is someone who Gets him really well and makes it easier to communicate even when he's struggling to do so. but even when he trusts them with his life i do think he has trouble actually reaching out or letting them know if he's, like, feeling overstimulated or anything. this is in large part bc he isn't really aware that not every single person has this complicated categorization system of "what can i and can't i act like in front of this person" system going on in their minds at all times.
#answers#Anonymous#i KNOw i had another thought but its gone now#maybe if it comes back to me later ill add on to this. sorry anon you get migraine rimi rambles :T#i don't think i even fully answered the question but alas#tim

Yvette Heiser - Mastering Filters in Photos for High-Impact Professional Photography
In professional photography, taking the ideal photo is just the beginning of the creative process. The other half lies in how you enhance and present your images to create a lasting impression. Filters play a crucial role in this process, allowing photographers to manipulate light, color, and mood to produce high-impact visuals. Yvette Heiser - The Role of Light in Professional Photography highlights how understanding light and using filters effectively can dramatically transform a photo’s atmosphere and appeal. Mastering filters in photography is essential for anyone aiming to elevate their work from ordinary snapshots to compelling, professional-grade images.

Understanding Filters: More Than Just Effects
Filters are not just trendy overlays or Instagram presets. In professional photography, filters serve as powerful tools that modify how light interacts with the camera sensor or film. Filters generally fall into two categories: physical filters that attach directly to the camera lens and digital filters added during the editing process.
Physical Filters
Physical filters are glass or resin attachments placed on the camera lens. Some common types include:
Polarizing Filters: These reduce reflections and glare from surfaces like water or glass, enhancing color saturation and contrast.
Neutral Density (ND) Filters: ND filters reduce the amount of light entering the lens, enabling longer exposure times or wider apertures even in bright conditions.
Graduated ND Filters: These help balance exposure between bright skies and darker landscapes.
Color Filters: Used primarily in black-and-white photography, these filters can accentuate contrasts or tones.
Digital Filters
Digital filters are applied during editing using software like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom. They can simulate the effects of physical filters or introduce creative adjustments such as:
Color grading
Sharpening or softening
Adding vignettes or lens flares
Enhancing textures
Why Mastering Filters Is Vital for Professionals
Using filters effectively allows photographers to control their image’s story and emotional impact. Whether aiming for a dramatic landscape or a crisp product shot, filters help set the tone. Here’s why mastering them matters:
Enhance Visual Appeal: Filters can make colors pop, deepen shadows, and add contrast that draws the viewer’s eye.
Control Light: Proper use of ND or polarizing filters helps manage tricky lighting situations, enabling clearer, more balanced photos.
Create Mood and Style: Filters contribute significantly to the mood of an image, whether it's a warm, nostalgic feel or a cold, modern aesthetic.
Save Time in Editing: Skilled use of physical filters can reduce the need for extensive post-processing, saving time without sacrificing quality.
Tips for Mastering Physical Filters
Invest in Quality Gear: High-quality filters maintain image sharpness and avoid unwanted color casts. Cheap filters can degrade your photos.
Understand Your Environment: Know when to use each filter depending on lighting conditions and subject matter.
Practice Long Exposures: Use ND filters to capture motion blur in waterfalls or clouds for artistic effects.
Rotate Polarizers: Adjust the polarizing filter to find the best angle for reducing glare and boosting colors.
Tips for Mastering Digital Filters
Subtlety Is Key: Avoid overusing digital filters that make images look artificial.
Learn Color Theory: Understand how color adjustments affect mood and composition.
Use Layer Masks: Apply filters selectively on different parts of an image for balanced results.
Experiment with Presets: Start with presets to learn different styles, then customize them to fit your vision.
Combining Physical and Digital Filters
The most impactful professional photos often result from a blend of physical and digital filtering techniques. For example, a photographer might use a polarizing filter during shooting to reduce glare and then apply digital color grading to enhance mood in post-production. This combination provides greater control and flexibility than relying on one method alone.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Overfiltering: Too many filters can clutter an image and distract from the subject.
Ignoring White Balance: Filters can alter color temperature; always adjust white balance accordingly.
Neglecting Lens Quality: Using low-quality lenses with filters can cause unwanted effects like vignetting or softness.
Relying Solely on Digital Filters: While convenient, digital-only approaches sometimes lack the authenticity that physical filters provide.
Conclusion
For photographers aiming to produce striking, professional-quality images, learning how to effectively use filters is an essential skill. Yvette Heiser – Texas, talks about the importance of filters in photos, emphasizing how understanding both physical and digital filters, knowing when and how to use them, and avoiding common pitfalls can significantly improve the visual quality and emotional depth of their work. Whether shooting landscapes, portraits, or commercial projects, filters are indispensable tools that help transform ordinary photos into powerful stories told through light and color. Invest time in learning these techniques—it’s an investment that will pay off in every frame you capture.

Books I read in 2023
I completely fell down on keeping track of books I read this year as I went, but I decided to try listing my 2023 reading as best as I can remember so I have some record of it. This list includes middle grade, YA, and graphic novels, but not picture books (I have to read a lot of those for professional purposes) or fanfic. Text categories include both print and eBooks. They're alphabetical by author within each section.
New Reads: text
Adult -Borderline by Mishell Baker -Captain Vorpatril’s Alliance by Lois McMaster Bujold -Cryoburn by Lois McMaster Bujold -Nettle and Bone by T. Kingfisher -The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher -The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune -The Spare Man by Mary Robinette Kowal -Sword Stone Table: Old Legends, New Voices. Edited by Swapna Krishna and Jenn Northington -My Roommate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine -A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske -Red, White, & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston -Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse -Thirteen Storeys by Jonathan Sims -Witch King by Martha Wells
YA -Twelfth Grade Night by Molly Booth (graphic novel) -In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan -Strange Grace by Tessa Gratton -Nimona by ND Stevenson (graphic novel)
Middle Grade -The Impossible Destiny of Cutie Grackle by Shawn K. Stout -The Last Hope in Hopetown by Maria Tureaud -Bea Wolf by Zach Weinersmith (graphic novel)
New reads: audio -Bad Cree by Jessica Johns -Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle -Black River Orchard by Chuck Wendig
Rereads: text -Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire -A Local Habitation by Seanan McGuire -An Artificial Night by Seanan McGuire -I reread several Murderbot Diaries books at some point within the past year and a half, but I really can’t recall if it was 2022 or 2023.
Rereads: audio -Dracula by Bram Stoker (as performed in Re: Dracula. It may be a podcast but it had the full-length novel text so I'm counting it)
My favorites of the new reads were probably Nettle and Bone, The Hollow Places, Nimona, and In Other Lands. Yes, that's two T. Kingfisher books in my top four. This was my first time reading her books, but I will definitely be seeking out more; she's fantastic. Weirdly, I don't think I read a single nonfiction book this year, which is something I'd like to change next year.
Any of these you're interested in and want to know more about? Or any here you've read and want to chat about? Any books you loved this year that you want to shout about?

Equipment You Need for Professional Photography

Professional photography is a great career option for all budding photographers owing to its huge scope of opportunities nowadays. It requires a keen eye for detail, a prolific sense of understanding subjects and frames, and good communication, among other skills. However, acquiring those skills won’t be enough if you don’t have the right equipment.
In this post, we will delve into the importance of photography equipment for professionals as well as share the names of the vital equipment that professionals usually need. The blog will surely help you find the most appropriate gadget for your career and thereby secure a permanent position in the fascinating world of professional photography.
Why Do You Need Photography Equipment?
Photography is a diverse career option owing to its various genres or categories including, wedding photography, event photography, fashion photography, product photography, portrait photography, wildlife photography, and many more. For each of these categories, you need different types of professional equipment to capture the best snaps.
In this context, it’s really important to understand the need for such gadgets. You might wonder why you would need additional equipment than your camera. Well, the answer is simple! To capture stunning visuals, you need to compose the entire setting of your subject, which includes light settings, which can be challenging in different lighting conditions.
Also, the frame you want to capture will need proper lenses and other tools depending on the style or category of your photography. Of course, your camera is the basic and most important gadget but without these additional gadgets, you won’t be able to get the best shots. We will delve into more detail as we explain to you the gadgets below:
Equipment You Need for Professional Photography
These are the gadgets that you need to ace your career as a professional photographer:
Camera: First, you need a good quality camera if you want to become a professional photographer. There are multiple brands manufacturing professional cameras that you can explore before choosing the right one. Moreover, there are several types of cameras such as DSLR, mirrorless, etc., which you can choose from.
Lenses: The next most important equipment required for photography is the camera lens. When it comes to lenses, the disposal is much wider than cameras. Prime lenses, zoom lenses, wide angle lenses, single aperture lenses, and many more are available which you can choose from depending on your photography style.
Filters: Though it might seem obvious to buy filters for the sake of protection of your camera lenses, the role of filters is multifarious. For example, ND lenses are of a distinct type that lets you capture perfect images when there is too much outdoor light burning your photos. So, you may need to acquire filters depending on your needs.
Tripod: To frame your images correctly, your camera needs proper elevation, stabilization, and support. Tripods, the three-legged camera mounting stands, are just about that. There are various sizes and capacities that you can select from while buying a tripod. However, make sure the equipment is compatible with your camera model.
Lights: Here comes one of the most vital equipment for professional photography, the light equipment. Irrespective of whether you shoot indoors or outdoors, you need flash and other types of lights to control the lighting condition. Today, you will find a plethora of options while choosing photography lights including softboxes and stands.
Reflectors: Apart from lights, you need another equipment for controlling the light setup of your images, which is a reflector. The role of a reflector is to eliminate shadows and bounce light, which helps highlight the subjects of photographs. The two situations when reflectors are essential are outdoor photos and indoor product photography.
Editing Tools: Photography is a diverse career option enabling you to specialize in either taking or editing. But, as a photographer, you need to know some basic editing tools to manage the post-production needs of your photographs and hand them over to your client easily. For this purpose, you may need a laptop or a desktop setup.
Maintenance Tools: A professional photographer needs to keep the camera and other equipment clean to enhance the longevity of the devices. And so, tools like dust blowers, lens wipes, and microfiber clothes are quite essential. Also, keeping the camera and other tools organized in a proper camera bag helps them to ensure portability.
Additional Tools:
Above are the basic equipment needs of professional photographers. Yet, there are plenty of other tools and devices that you might need in the long run. The list below includes such devices:
Camera Bag
Memory Cards
Extra Batteries
External Hard Drives
Monitors
L-Brackets
Props

♡ Welcome to Agere Archive! ♡
[PT: Welcome to Agere Archive]
The goal here is to Archive all Age/Pet Regression and Dreaming flags, as well as related terms, genders, and IDs! System Littles and Middles / Syskids, Systweens, and Systeens are also included and welcome here!
All flags & terms are reblogged from their original source, unless otherwise stated. We add image descriptions, (OP) DNI transcripts, and plain text as needed.
We do our best to tag for eyestrain, but if we happen to overlook one, please let us know!
We used to make high quality [HQ] 5000px by 3000px versions for every flag we archived, however we now only do this by request. If you would like a hi-res version of a flag, feel free to send an ask with a link to which flag you'd like! Or if you need an alternate (ie, icon friendly, without symbol, etc) version, we don't mind doing that either.
As an archive, this blog doesn't have a DNI; However, keep in mind that creators each have their own DNI criteria. Please respect each of them and their boundaries
Tagging system is below the cut
Note: This post is tagged as most of the following to make filtering easier, since tumblr's blog search function can be finicky.

hello :) could i please ask with a gender neutral reader x sinbad where the reader is taking sinbad to their bedroom after he’s had too much to drink and he’s just rambling about how much they love the reader bot realizing he’s talking to them, please? hopefully it’s not too cheesy

-🍓 Character(s): Sinbad
-🍓 Type of reader: Gn!Reader
-🍓 Category: SFW
-🍓 Warning(s): None
-🍓 Edited: ❌
Sinbad knew damn well he couldn’t hold his alcohol well, yet he decided to drink his heart out tonight.
So here you were, holding Sinbad by the arm and helping him to the bedroom you both shared.
Of course, him being drunk came with a price. That price being him talking nonstop.
“You ‘now…there’s this person I like. They’re so cool ‘nd so fun to be around.” Sinbad slurred as you laid his head down on your lap once to two of you were finally in the room. “Oh? Tell me more about them if you don’t mind. And what’s their name?” You said as you played with his hair.
“Their name is Y/n very sweet name if you ask me. They’re mean to me..BUT! Very very nice to me sometimes.” He said making you smile, knowing he was talking about you. “And how are they mean?” “Because yesterday..they kicked me out our bedroom! All because I…complained about them stealing the covers.” Sinbad grumbled as he folded his arms, acting like a complete child, it was cute though.
“You kind of look like ‘em too.” He began poking your cheeks and feeling your face making you laugh.
“Next time watch how much you drink, Sinbad.” You told him and kissed the hand that was on your cheek. “How ya know my name?” Sinbad raised a brow as he looked at you, squinting his eyes. “Cause it’s Y/n you idiot.” You sighed making his eyes widen.
“Whaaaa? So you heard what I said?” Sinbad gasped and you nodded making the man groan as his cheeks tinted with pink, embarrassed for himself.

he/him, it/its, xe/xyr. ND disabled transfag, gay trans boy. not putting your age in your bio is online privacy 101 but for those who need to know i am over 18.
no DNI but i do block liberally. this is a strictly inclusionist space and i will not tolerate presuming to know someone else's experiences better than they do or demonization (etc.) attached to any identity. in particular i would like to mention that those with paraphilias and paraphilic disorders are welcome here. yes, even the big three.
I always want my blog to be more accessible, and welcome feedback or suggestions on how to do so.
If I add an image description to your post, please edit it in with or without credit. If you want to reblog a different chain/version of a post I've added a description to, please copy the relevant description into your reblog, again with or without credit.
If you want to include my tags in your reblog, please either copy/paste or describe your screenshot.
Tagging system is in the works, I have a few running tags but they're not very consistent. If you want me to tag something, ask me and I will either tag it or tell you that I won't.
Accessibility tags:
# undescribed : for any image or video that isn't described
# description implied : for when there isn't an ID explicitly written out, but it's easy to infer the image from the rest of the post
# image incidental or irrelevant : for when a post can be understood without any of the (undescribed) images
# described : (inconsistent) for when an image or video is described
# id in alt : (inconsistent) for when an image is described in the alt text
# captioned : video may not be transcribed or described, but you can get all necessary information from either the video or the audio, without needing the other. if there's small differences between captions and audio i may tag this and then add a second tag with what the differences are rather than type a full description.
# minimal audio : for when a video can be understood without the audio. i may add a short description of the audio in the tags rather than a full description.
note: i'm in the process of rethinking how i tag for videos, and will likely do more to separate out the visual and audio components in my tagging, as those are (in)accessible to separate groups of people. i'm going to continue using these tags for now but may be adding new ones and updating this in the future.
# no plaintext : (inconsistent) for posts with cursive, zalgo, more than a few words in all caps or colour, leetspeak, heavy typing quirks, or any other form of text that may not be easily readable or screenreader friendly, and that don't have a plaintext version included
# plaintext : (inconsistent) for posts with any of the above that have a plaintext version included
# flashing : (inconsistent) for flashing lights
# eyestrain : (inconsistent) for stuff that seems eyestrain-y
# unreality : (inconsistent) for unreality
# unreality maybe : (inconsistent) for stuff that i'm not sure whether or not is unreality, which is more often than being sure
note: may add a tag for stuff that isn't real but is more of a bit that doesn't fall into typical unreality triggers - think promotional posts for things that don't exist, onion headlines, and the like. The closest i have right now is # satire but that doesn't feel quite right for everything in this category.
Other tags:
# faggotry-enjoyer original : for my posts
# faggotry-enjoyer asks : for asks
# faggotry-enjoyer additions : for when i add in the text of a reblog rather than just tags, excluding image descriptions
# horny on main : what it says on the tin
quite a few others that are primarily vibes-based and which i barely keep track of in my head.

The pages in this category are redirects from names that are unsuitable for inclusion in a printed version of Wikipedia. To add a redirect to this category, place {{Rcat shell|{{R unprintworthy}}}} on the second new line (skip a line) after #REDIRECT [[Target page name]]. For more information follow the links. Never substitute redirect template(s), nor place them on soft redirects.
See also the complete list of redirect templates and the redirect style guide.
This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories.
This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. They are not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme.
This category is hidden on its member pages—unless the corresponding user preference (appearance → show hidden categories) is set.
These categories can be used to track, build and organize lists of pages needing "attention en masse" (for example, pages using deprecated syntax), or that may need to be edited at someone's earliest convenience.
These categories also serve to aggregate members of several lists or sub-categories into a larger, more efficient list (discriminated by classifications).
"Unprintworthy" redirects are redirect pages on Wikipedia that aid online navigation, but would have little or no value as pointers to target articles in a hard-copy book. The name of a redirect may be unprintworthy for a number of reasons, including being nearly identical to the name of the target page, containing typographical errors, or not being encyclopaedic. Redirects are not unprintworthy just because the name may be offensive to some, unless the name is also not encyclopaedic.

Suppose I should tell y'all what the flag means huh?
I realized I didn't make a post about the flag & my stance on xeniden flags as a whole.
First off, this flag is meant to cover all xenidens at once. Past, present, & future. This one flag in itself is friendly to any & all xeniden labels. It is the ultimate catch-all.
[Read more under the cut ..]
Second, this isn't really a flag template, and I'd strongly prefer if no one made a (public) template without my explicit permission.
Generally, I'd prefer xenidens to not have pride flags with them since they aren't an lgbt++ thing and I do not want them to get mistaken as genders/sexualities/etc since they are not, and I would love to encourage colour palettes and visual aesthetics/moodboards because they give more inspiration to the xeniden itself rather than the concept of "just having a flag for it." (If you look at seaiden, you will notice I created a colour palette in the middle circle, but not as a flag!)
Visual representations in the form of moodboards also lends way to tons of creative options for one to represent a term coined. This is about expression and self-perception!
And, as a reminder, xenidens are allo cishet nt+ friendly too. Everyone is welcome as long as they are using labels in good faith! Flags tend to be used for lgbt/disabled/nd/etc communities only (afaik, I may be wrong though lol)
If you still want to make a flag, you can, but for the foreseeable future, no flags will be considered "official," even if you made it along with a term you have coined. I will still reblog qualifying posts even if they do have flags though!
I'm not ANTI-flag, I just don't feel that they are necessary here. If you have an excellent argument for why you feel flags are necessary to include, or 100% should be considered official any time one is made, please let me know! Can't say my opinion will for sure change but you're free to argue with me lol (/g)
Alright, onto what the flag actually means:
Upside down rainbow similar to xenogender flag: Represents a loose parallel to lgbt & xenic communities but not exactly the same; just based around identity and self-expression.
Blue & pink: Representing traditional masculinity & femininity & how it ties into one facet of our traditional self-expression, as well as how a lot of things in our cultures are often tied to one or the other arbitrarily.
Yellow: Representing things outside of the binary of masc & fem, to do with individualistic expression without the direct influence of the former two categories.
Cyan & orange: An even further extension outside of the binary or trinary, representing expression free from anything traditional styles would like us. These also represent complete nonconformity and the ability to just do what you want. It doesn't mater what "colour" what you like is, all that matters is it's you!
Circle: Represents what "you" are, one whole who has many facets; of which xenidens can represent just one part of your whole without necessarily directly interfering with others. Can also represent a feeling of whole-ness that some have expressed after discovering xenidens; the full & complete freedom to just Vibe(tm) with your identity without gendered (or other) restrictions.
Lines within circle: Represents the different parts of self as mentioned above, how even if these parts may or may not be divided, similar or related, they all are part of you, and thus are within the boundaries of the circle. They are horizontal to match with the stripe pattern of the rest of the image. It also seems to form an "equals" sign, which represents how we are all welcome to xenidens, and all xenidens are treated as equals to one another in every circumstance. Can also represent how xeniden labels are just as valid as all other labels people use to describe themselves.
*.+
Xeniden Carrd in case you have no clue what I'm going on about
*.+
Please don't edit or re-vamp this flag without my permission!!!
#long post?#xeniden#iden#mogai#xenogender#should i be tagging this as /gq#i dunno how to use tumblr lol don't mind me#xeniden flag#xeniden pride flag#flag

A neurodivergent alterhuman pride flag, for when you feel as if your alterhumanity is in some way affected or influenced by your neurodivergency!
(Original alterhuman symbol created by @kindness-flags; we edited the infinity symbol in to make an ND alterhuman symbol!)
This flag is open for all neurodivergent alterhumans, regardless of one's belief system (psychological/spiritual/etc)! This is because the ways neurodivergency can affect alterhumanity are expansive and not limited to psychological alterhumans alone. (We're spiritual and ND!)
What does alterhuman mean?:
(adjective) A personal identity which is beyond the scope of what is traditionally considered ‘being human’, including but not limited to: otherkinity, therianthropy, otherlinking, otherheartedness, etc. Can also include groups such as plural systems, furries, and daemians by self-identification.
(noun) a person with such an identity.
What does neurodivergent mean?:
(adjective) Differing in mental or neurological function from what is considered typical or normal (frequently used with reference to autistic spectrum disorders); not neurotypical.
I personally have no desire to label what does and doesn't count as neurodivergent or alterhuman, (other than listing some of the most common associations), since both labels are largely based in self-identification! If you personally feel that you fit under these categories, you're free to use these flags. :)
Color meanings:
We took the red, orange, and yellow from our alterhuman flag and set them in the center, because those colors are also often associated with autism advocacy! (Red for RedInstead, gold because the chemical symbol for gold is Au, and orange because it lies between the two!)
From there, the top colors are a gradient from the initial red to portray the spectrum of neurodivergency, and the bottom greens are a callback to the greens seen in other neurodivergent pride flags, as well as just being calming colors!
And for funsies, a little nd alterhuman gem :)

this episode's track list (title / artist / source / license):
1. "Way Back When (Featuring Chuck D)" by Just Plain Ant [blocSonic] (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) 2. "30:5 / moonshine ft. chadah-hadassah" by Yashiyah [Bandcamp] (CC BY-NC-ND 3.0) 3. "LoveSigns" by Makaih Beats [Free Music Archive] (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)
For the past two decades, "pause" merely existed as long-form commentary on the BSOTS website. Roughly a week after Jam Master Jay's murder, the bile in my belly fueled a rant in my brain and it all came spilling out onto my computer keyboard. More emotional than logical, it wears my sarcasm and cynicism like spike-studded armor. I'm definitely in my "I said what I said" bag here, back when I had no problems taking an either/or approach when dividing music into rigid yet subjective categories like "commercial" vs. "alternative" and viewing hip-hop as if it were a sonic civil war with only two sides: "conscious" vs. "gangsta." I had one foot out the door of the culture and the music when I wrote this and it shows.
Creative Commons licensed tunes break up the commentary, featuring selections from netlabels like blocSonic and Dusted Wax Kingdom as well as cuts scattered across Bandcamp, Jamendo, and the Free Music Archive. The blocSonic cuts include guest verses from Chuck D of Public Enemy and Darryl "DMC" McDaniels of Run-DMC. The sound of dusty vinyl underneath certain parts of the commentary comes directly from a project entitled This Is The End, Beautiful Friend by File Under Toner. The description of this project on the Free Music Archive begins with the following question: "Are the hiss, crackles, and pops on records protected by copyrights?" All of the featured sounds are from the locked grooves at the end of various records, which get messed with using delay, reverb and other audio techniques. I thought that these works added just the right amount of tension at certain times, more than traditional background music would. The locked grooves running into themselves in this circumstance just sound so stark, like it's occupying the space where Jam Master Jay's cutting and scratching used to reside.
I live with me all the time, enough to know that the longer I hold on to this episode, the more that my own doubts and anxieties will keep me from releasing it into the podosphere, so I have to let it go. It's going to do whatever it does. Here's hoping that you will give this one a shot and consider it time well spent.

Do you have any advice for Arknights like completing levels and stuff because I find myself somewhat stuck on episode 2 and I don't really have a proper idea of what kind units I need and not like specific characters but like guard nd sniper that kind of stuff
I can make a longer piece of this if you like anon (I just have some critical classwork to finish today so I can’t be immediately as in-depth as I’d like to be) but my general tips:
1) The three star units the game yeets at your head, while not as exciting per se to develop as higher rarity units, are significantly easier and cheaper to level, and from them you can always have a solid core of a team. The 2*s tend to be for more clutch/unique plays, as they fall into the ‘weaker but skilled’ category, e.g. Durin’s dodge, Ranger’s anti-air mastery, Noir Corne being an incredibly low cost block-3 unit, especially as you get more tokens from recruitment.
2) Said units also serve as something of ‘intro’ to the archetypes within each class of Operator, and understanding when to use them will help you analyse usage for higher rarity units in the same category. e.g. Fang serves as a balanced, in terms of attack and defense, vanguard, while Vanilla goes hard into attack and is a bit squishier. Melantha is your first duelist/assassin guard, meant to deal with high priority targets. If you don’t mind some reading, clicking on the class names on tvtropes will lead to a mini-breakdown of the sub-archetypes in each.
3) Speaking very generally deployment order is going to probably be something like Vanguards to generate DP, snipers/slow supporters to help with killing early enemies, healers to keep everyone alive, casters/aoe snipers as your big guns, block-3 guards/defenders to draw aggro. This is probably the ‘core’ deployment order, with variations according to map needs. Develop units with this in mind and you’ll have a strong foundation.
4) People have some very good low rarity stage clear guides! KyostinV and Eckogen probably come to mind first for most (I favour Eckogen slightly more because Kyostin doesn’t always edit vids to be ‘just’ a working clear and doesn’t cut runs that didn’t work, which means sometimes you’ll need to backtrack if you’re following exactly and he makes a mistake, but watching both certainly doesn’t hurt if you’re trying to develop your own strats and understanding). Trying to connect what they’re doing with your knowledge of the units’ archetypes will help you grow your understanding. Other notables: Dreamy, who does some excellent work breaking down units among other things, and Just3c, who has a whole playlist that includes resources and advice for getting better at Arknights.
5) Longterm, developing for versatility will give you a lot more breathing room than just focusing a power hitter in each sub-archetype. e.g. Saria absolutely hits above any other healing defender, and her calcification is Appropriately Bananas, but Nearl’s E2 passive of bolstering all healing is nothing to sneeze at.
I hope this helps! Please don’t be afraid to ask any more questions; I love to help people enjoy this game ^^

VI b. Changing the texture displayed in Blender
(Previous: UV_0)
You probably noticed that even though we're using that colourful template in the uv map area, the model is still dressed in the same top as before. Why didn't it turn colourful as well? That's because the texture displayed on the model has to be changed in a different place.
Please note that this will affect only the texture displayed in Blender! Unless you bake it (we'll probably talk about it way later), it has nothing to do with your diffuse map, S4S etc.
In the panel on the right, go to 'Texture' (3rd from the right). In the 2nd subcategory ('Show material textures') you'll see two textures: one for the skin, one for the top. Click the latter one.
If you scroll down a little bit, you'll find an 'Image' category. When you click the icon on the left, you'll see a list of all the textures used currently by your blend file.
If you choose the template file instead of the top diffuse map...
...your model will change their clothes.
You can also completely remove the texture by clicking that little cross to the right. Two buttons will appear instead: 'New' and 'Open', just like in the uv map area. This way you can upload any texture you want. It can come in very handy if you want to check whether your uv map is done properly (e.g. if it's not weirdly stretched anywhere etc.) - you just have to open a file with a pattern.
***
This is something I don't personally use, but @simulatedstyles brought to my attention a cool feature, which some of you might find useful. Click the 'New image' button, name it whatever, give it the right dimensions (1024x2048 or 2048x4096) and then, in the 'Generated Type' box, choose 'Color Grid'.
Untick the top box – the one with the skin texture. Now your whole model should be covered in a colourful mosaic.
Just like uploading a pattern, it's very useful for spotting any problems with your mesh!
***
If you are frankenmeshing, you probably realised that different parts of your mesh use different textures. Chances are you're not extatic about it. To change it, you have to go to the 4th category from the right, called 'Material'. You'll see that there are a couple of diffuse maps listed there:
Just for presentation purposes, I appended the belt and the ribbon from my 1884 bathing suit
If you want everything to use just one diffuse map – probably the one you're using in the uv map area – you can just delete the other ones by clicking the minus on the right.
You can also do the opposite and use this Material section to add textures to your mesh (as mentioned, the changes will be visible only in Blender). If you go to edit mode, you'll see that a couple of new buttons appeared, including 'Assign'. You can add different textures to the list and then assign them to different parts of your mesh. I use it quite often not with textures, but with different colours, just because it makes working on a project more visually pleasant. Let's say I want the belt and the ribbon to turn yellow. I'll select them, click the plus icon to add a new material and then, below, click 'New'.
Then I'll click 'Assign' and switch to object mode, to make it easier to see any changes, and then click the white bar under 'Diffuse'. A colour wheel will appear.
And then I'll just change the colour to yellow.
You can add as many materials as you want and have some fun with colouring your mesh. It won't affect anything outside Blender, but can give you some inspiration for swatches and, in general, make you feel like your creation starts looking like something. I admit that I love it. Here's the same mesh, after a minute or two of colouring:
