Even to the last, Bruno Richard Hauptmann drew a crowd. This was the “Gallery” that watched and waited outside the Fresh Pond Crematory in Queens on April 6, 1936 as a simple service was held for the executed Lindbergh baby slayer and the body cremated.

If you are looking for a unique, cheap, fixer-upper, complete with a basement crematory, look no further. For only $147K you can get this 6bd. 5ba. home in Oswego, Kansas. Bring the whole gang! This unique property was built as a hospital on 2 acres- don’t you love the blue stripes? It looks like a modern estate.
It housed a museum & college in the past as well. Most recently it is a residence. I don’t see how it’s a residence, but this must be the living room.
It's concrete from ceiling to floor, & has been used for the town's storm shelter in the past, so you’ll be super-safe in here.
There are 4 rooms, with a waiting area in the West wing that was an ER. It’s a mansion- it has a west wing just like the White House. Do you think this was the ER?
There are 15 rooms, 1 full bathroom with 2 nonfunctioning half bathrooms, and an office on the main floor.
Clearly, this is one of the non-functioning baths. What is growing out of that toilet?
Heading up the second story, there are huge closets and 4 rooms with the 2 nonfunctioning full bathrooms.
The owners have living quarters in the back as well as a workshop.
Like the murals in this room.
In the basement, you will find storage space, the old crematory, and access to the new plumbing.
Here’s your crematory.
This actually looks like an old parking garage. Plenty of sheltered parking. A sound investment.

i worked for almost twelve hours today and it was truly one of those working-in-a-crematory-is-weird days. i spend like two hours organising for this man to get a bigger coffin as the already bigger coffin he got was still too small (like he did not even properly fit into our cooler - his feet touched the door).
i cleaned this head wound of a woman who fell from the stairs and died screaming, her face was all distorted. everything smelled of blood and shampoo.
i helped this old woman close the coffin of her ex-husband who was still her best friend. nobody came to the viewing and she really did not want to go see him alone, or close the coffin on her own, so i put in half the screws.
she asked for a hug afterwards and i was glad for it because i already really wanted to give her one.
also they changed the smoking spot for employees so in between everything i stood there smoking in the bike shed like i was back in high school or something.

literally cried today at work. we had the viewing of a fourteen year old boy in the morning, and then the viewing of a 30 year old woman in the afternoon. both commited suicide, for both the mothers were the contact, both were referred to by their first instead of their last names. it was just so much. having to bring people my own age or younger to take a look at the dead body of their sibling or their friend, i don't know. had to have a sitdown with a colleague for a bit.
