A warm bouquet for my Sunny Day fans ☀️ 

While harsh sun isn’t my favorite (hides under parasol), I do love to soak in the morning sun - Ikrit teases that I use Synthesis. =u= If I were to have a Sun team, it’d be definitely Grass-focused along with Sora in her sunny form, & maybe Anpan or Chocolat (my Dachsbuns) with their Well-Baked Body to eat Fire moves lol 🌻

Most of the flowers I found associated with the sun are warm shades of golds, sun-shaped with the round centers & petals radiating out, & like the sun, healing / medicinal. 🌼🌿

Sunflower - symbol of the summer solstice, they’re also heliotropic (meaning they turn to face the sun).

Daisy - one of April’s flowers symbolizing sunny energy & cheer.

Calendula - an ancient symbol of joy that opens every day at dawn.

Dandelion - while the bright yellow flower represents the sun, its puffy seeds symbolize the moon & stars.

Honeysuckle - full of sunny summer memories, it would be made into a cooling iced tea in some parts of the world.

Flying saucers in the garden. Likely a leftover of the 1964 NY world's fair at which I became separated from my parents as I recall. But that was a long world away and no-one was particularly worried or at least they didn't inform me about it.

This front garden has been seeded with an annual meadow mix of orange flowered Eschscholzia californica (California poppy) and Calendula officinalis (pot marigold, common marigold, ruddles, Mary's gold, Scotch marigold) which contrast with blue flowered Nigella damascena (love-in-a-mist) and Borago officinalis (borage, starflower), and dotted with the pink blooms of Agrostemma githago (corn-cockle).

A hot, dry summer was tough on plants and people, but it was a grand season for flower crab spiders. All of these, and many of their fancy friends, were in the back yard in early September.

My Calendula is trying to go all Day of the Triffids on me and start walking away from the pot. I've had to rustle her up and put her back where she belongs. At least she doesn't bite me when I replant her, unlike the Snap Dragons who have a very mean set of incisors.
