Unlike the other men who'd text you back if you tell them you're leaving and want a divorce, Price won't respond. Oh, no, honey, that's not his style.

You think you're in the clear, crossing your t's, dotting your i's, and setting your new place up. You'd always love your Jack but it was time to move on, and move on you did.

It wasn't until you woke up one morning to the smell of—wait. Wait a fucking minute—what the fuck—who... who the fuck is in your kitchen?! And just like that, peace turned to fear and apprehension. You stumbled out of your bedroom to see Price cooking up your favorite breakfast. How did he—?

"Sit down, sweetheart." Your husband didn't turn away from the stove once.

You were too stunned to do anything else.

Price set breakfast out in front of you with your favorite drink in tow—just like you like it. You began to eat but everything felt heavy and it was hard to swallow.

And then Price lit a cigar, took a few puffs, looked at you, and smiled his disarmingly charming smile, cheeks big and everything.

"We need to talk, darling."

i am always thinking about the stolen earth two parter and how it was so desperate for more interaction between the companions. so here are interactions i would've liked to see

jack and rose catching up!!! jack explaining the immortality thing, rose apologising profusely, jack saying he thought she was dead, him having to defend the fact that he works for torchwood, just the two of them catching up on how their lives have changed so drastically since they last saw each other

jackie and donna getting on like a house on fire and the doctor HATING it. especially when they roast the shit out of him

martha and mickey talking, having some kind of interaction that makes their marriage in the end of time feel less out of nowhere. them bonding over feeling second best and being treated badly by the doctor but how they still loved travelling with him, bragging to each other about the cool things they did

rose and martha being besties. initially rose is obviously jealous of the pretty girl the doctor replaced her with but quickly gets over it when she realises how cool martha is. then the doctor has to deal with another new pair of besties roasting him. rose encouraging mickey and martha's relationship, even?

jack and jackie flirting. rose HATES it. the doctor's not a fan either. they have no intention of actually doing anything but they keep flirting just to get a reaction out of rose and the doctor

I genuinely don’t think anything will ever top the feeling of watching the Doctor and the other Doctor and Rose and Jackie and Mickey and Martha and Donna and Jack and Sarah Jane fly the Earth home in Journey’s End. That episode came out fifteen years ago and I have yet to find any other moment of a movie or TV show that makes me feel quite so brilliantly joyful. And I am completely okay with that.

Do I love them or am I in love with the idea of them? They’re always on my mind, I’ve known them for a while, I’d do anything for them. Is it love? I feel that I don’t know them deep enough to love but the feeling is so strong, could it be love?

Price, when he gets home, craves the intimacy he missed the moment he walked out the door.

You're swept up into his embrace and you return it with equal intensity; he buries his nose in the crook of your neck and it hits him that he's home. His hug is firm. Warm. Loving. It's simply him and he doesn't have to be Captain John Price right now. He can be John, John-John, Jack, Jackie, or any other pet name you always come up with.

He relishes the moment. And then he feels the familiar squeeze of your hands on his ass.

Price lets out a breathy chuckle.

It feels good to be home.

the thing is, in terms of yellowjackets’ plot it makes perfect sense that jackie dies. the fact that she symbolises normalcy and civilisation so she has to for the rest of the group to spiral completely into cannibalism and cultism. and with the more basic fact that jackie obviously has the least amount of survival skills in the group like why would she be one of the survivors out of everyone? and yet actually thinking about her death tears me up inside so much. that she was killed by alienation from the group, as someone who was supposed to be their leader. that she died thinking shauna hated her. that she was killed by both her and shauna’s own stubbornness. that her death was Completely avoidable. and that any other night staying outside wouldn’t have killed her at all. dying in her sleep, possibly the tamest way to die out in the wilderness and yet the most haunting

Doctor Who family scheme

I'm still working on this, but it's an attempt at a family tree of the doctor. (Or rather a web of family trees surrounding them)

It is of course pretty difficult and chaotic per definition

journey's end/the stolen earth is a fun watch but if you reakly analyse the plot...it's doodoo.

the doctor just stands there and gets lectured by davros. all rose does is hold his hand. martha, mickey, jack, jackie and mickey are all red herrings. torchwood, luke and k9 are also there. the only people who drive the plot forward is the meta crisis doctor and donna. then rose gets a copy and paste doctor because apparently she's the only one who's allowed a happy ending only it's not happy at all and comes at the expense of donna. remember, donna only loses her memories because she is half timelord, something that only happened because of the meta crisis' existence. who was only created in the story to give rose a crappy happy ending. what's the point of it all. sara talks about how big the doctor's family is but the show isn't gonna have him call out for help from this established family after he loses donna because we need the timelord victorious arc to be set in motion and have it only last one episode. martha's giving us a salute so her soldierfication is complete despite us getting three episodes so establish she is more than that. it's all so frustrating. it's also a lot to juggle but i think rustle bit off more than he could chew there.

and it definitely doesnt read that the doctor has learnt much regarding human nature either because pairing rose off with his copy makes perfect sense to the alien doctor thinking it would be fine, it's him offering joan to travel all over again. but not the alien doctor who is supposed to be learning from his companions. they're supposed to make him better aren't they? you'd have thought he would have learnt from it? i guess not.
