I really hope Armand finds himself now that he's on his own. Having been coerced into roles and situations his whole life, by his Maker, the Children of Darkness, the Paris coven, and in a way by Louis too with assisting in his art dealership, he's lived such a codependent life. He's going to struggle immensely with being on his own (until Daniel finds him) but I hope he learns to thrive on the freedom he now has.

I really love that Anne gave Lestat a romantic interest that didn't fall within the conventional 1990s westernized standard of beauty, like his description of a forty-year-old Gretchen in TotBT is just so refreshing to me — even today!

I thought again how like the Grecian women of Picasso she was, large and fair. Her eyebrows were dark brown and her eyes light-almost a pale green-which gave her face a look of dedication and innocence. She was not young, this woman, and that, too, enhanced her beauty very much for me.

Large and not young! What a visionary, truly.

*I will not be talking about Gabrielle here because a) she's Lestat's mother and he loves her so he is already predisposed to want to see beauty in her and b) Lestat describes Gabrielle as being slender with features that were "too kittenish" which "made her look like a girl"; I feel that that is obviously a different type of beauty altogether.

My brother looked into my room and told me it looks like a bookstore or library was closing its doors because of the amount of books everywhere. Any kind of moving requires so much cleaning and physical labor my whole body is sore but I'm glad to be getting more exercise than just the occasional walks I go on. Also I was gifted a basketball by someone who won a promotion at a store and got one for free lol and now I am on the hunt for someone to play basketball with one of these days.

Allowing me to experiment as much as possible. They don’t want me to get caught up in the day to day operations, they want me to focus on the bigger picture.

connecting me with different people and resources.

Sending me to conferences abroad and within the country.

Reviewing my work on a weekly basis to guide me.

Setting targets to help me understand what needs to be done.

Recommending books and videos to watch.

letting me make my own decisions, regardless of whether they’re wrong or right

What do you think a mundane Izzy would do for a career?

i already answered this somewhere on my main blog, but to reiterate.. i think she'd go into fashion! stylist, model.. i could even see her having her own boutique line at some point, but that would be contingent on things like her wealth and notoriety lol which also depends in part on simon's own level of fame (if any)

I am so brave. Someome on twitter was being Mad about how it is somehow okay for people to go crazy over the swimsuits in the beach section of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth but liking Xenoblade gets you called a porn enjoyer when it never puts the whole party in swimwear and I blocked him instead of arguing.

But I still need to vent so have my argument anyway. But as say a mini essay and not fighting a twitter war I cannot win.

First of all exaggeration much? Xenoblade 2 isnt a porn game but it does have sexualised aspects that can and should be criticised. But nobody is gonna call you a porn addict for liking that game (cause it IS a good game outside of those issues). Second, you can very much put the whole party in swimwear with dlc or even just naturally in 1 and X. Third and most importantly tho: context is actually a factor in sexualisation. In my research one of the points of the sexualisation scale was "is the outfit appropriate to the situation" so a revealing swimwear kinda look would be appropriate attire at say a beach but not in a war zone. So yes, putting Tifa and Aerith in a bikini in Costa del Sol is less sexualised than throwing one of the half naked female blades into a battle zone or a cold af place like Tantal. But also my biggest issues with XC2 arent even so much with the character designs themselves but the way the game treats the characters. Like the unnecessary close ups of Pyra's boobs and the Mythra sleepwalking scene and like all of Tora's bullshit (Blushy Crushy, having a maid fetish then making his robot blade into a maid, Poppi qtpi looking Like That because Tora is horny for Pyra etc)
