Sooo I saw Frozen the Musical last night (with THE Caroline Bowman), and when I tell you that it changed my life in profound and indescribable ways—

So on Thursday I went to see the National tour of frozen at PPAC (its the closest I'll get to Germany) and it was incredible, the first show I went to that I actually wanted to go to (long story) and so stagedoor after I missed both Caroline and Lauren but then I went back the next day and when I tell you the gay panic I felt when Caroline walked out that stage door, I really hope she didn't notice me staring at her and I may have been hallucinating but I'm pretty sure when she handed me back my playbill she called me honey and it was a surreal experience. But then afterwards my mother being my mother wanting to document my state of ecstasy and pulls out her phone and is telling me something and I see Caroline and Lauren right behind us walking to their car and I kinda flipped out saying to her "THEY'RE RIGHT THERE" so now I feel inclined to dm them on Instagram and apologize for flipping out but they probably didn't even notice but if they did if nothing else maybe it made them laugh

"Well uh.. suicide can do that to a person," Lilly joked. "I can't believe you're here!" She exclaimed as she moved to hug her friend.

Mal stepped back...

"What?! No!" Lilly scolded, grabbing Mal's arm gently, turning Mal towards her.

Mal looked up at her, tears evident in her eyes.

Silence from Mal.

Lilly sighed and nodded, her smile fading before she began to walk away.

Mal grabbed Lilly's hand.

"I'm happy you're here.... but it's not safe for you to stay.... we haven't done rhis in a while just... let me crawl before i can walk," Mal replied.

Lilly stayed silent, listening.

"I feel like im home... but everything turns to chaos when I'm around the people I love..... I'm bad luck.. if you're around me, you're in danger," Mal explained.

"I get that you mean well. But things are gonna get bad real fast. Just leave me alone... let me figure stuff out," Mal stated.

"Mal, I'm here for you! We can fix this together. For once just listen to me! I'll beg you if i have to!" Lilly argued.

"You just make things worse! I can't control my emotions when you're here! It's going to get you hurt!" Mal scolded.

Mal sighed before wlaking away without another word, leaving Lilly there alone, tears streaming down her face.

Aponi walked backstage after her performance, tugging at the collar Valentino had made her wear while she danced.

As aponi took off her makeup, she heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" She called out, expecting Angel dust to waltz through the door.

But instead she was met with a voice she never thought she'd hear again. Especially not after her suicide.

"Lilly?"

Aponi turned around quickly.

"Mal," she deadpanned, the shock eminent on her face.

Aponi stood there like a deer in headlights, not making a move.

Then she remembered the Val's threat that one day when she had disobeyed him.

"You have to leave....." Aponi stated as she turned her back on Mal.

"What? No! I haven't seen you in years! If you hate me, just say so!" Mal fought back.

❄️Fun story: this photo is from my solo Elsa shoot I did at the St. James theatre in NYC before the tour started in Fall of 2019. My husband made me a “powerful women”playlist and I danced and strutted across the stage in my Elsa dress. At the end of the photoshoot, the team said “this is our last shot!” And blasted me with snow without telling me and this was my response! The cold never bothered her anyway! And that final photo ended up in our souvenir book!❄️

Rebus – BBC picks up new series

Richard Rankin takes on the role of the famous Scottish detective

The BBC acquired the Scottish crime drama Rebus. Made by Eleventh Hour Films for Viaplay, and based on Ian Rankin’s novels, the series stars Richard Rankin (no relation) in the title role.

The detective has been previously played, as an Inspector, by both John Hannah and Ken Stott.

Rebus

The six-part series has been adapted for the screen by Gregory Burke who reimagines the character earlier in his career. Detective Sergeant John Rebus is drawn into a violent criminal conflict that turns personal when his brother Michael, a former soldier, crosses the line into criminality. Rebus finds himself torn between protecting his brother and enforcing the law to bring Michael to justice.

Gregory Burke To Adapt Ian Rankin’s Rebus Series as Eleventh Hour Drama Black Watch. Both adaptations, have Richard Rankin’s participation. Based on interviews with former soldiers, it tells the story of troops from the then Black Watch regiment serving in Iraq. The play toured around the world and went on to win four Olivier Awards.

The series promises to explore family, morality and class in an emotionally charged story, set against the Scottish landmarks that Rankin’s readers know so well.

Joining Richard Rankin (Outlander), the series also stars Lucie Shorthouse (Bulletproof), Brian Ferguson (The Ipcress File) and Amy Manson (The Nevers). Plus, Neshla Caplan, Noof Ousellam, Stuart Bowman, Caroline Lee Johnson, Sean Buchanan, Thoren Ferguson and Michelle Duncan.

Filming took place in Glasgow and Edinburgh last year.

Author Ian Rankin says:

“I’m thrilled that Rebus is coming to the BBC. A great cast and a compelling story – I really can’t wait for viewers to see it.”

Rebus will air on BBC Scotland, BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this spring.
