On this New Year's Eve, are you too thinkin' bout season 8's: "I did everything I could to get you out! Everything... I did not leave you!" "Nothing you could have done would have saved me, because I didn't want to be saved... After the things I did... I didn't deserve to be out." and season 15's: "I left, but you didn't stop me."?? Because let's be real - Cas would *not* have stayed if Dean had stopped him as he didn't think he deserved to have Dean's acceptance/love. (can't believe that 3yrs later on I am doing 180 on this - i.e. initially thinking that Cas not staying was a result of Dean not asking)

anyways, I guess this is your usual reminder that Dean saving Cas from the Empty & saying "you don't think you deserved to be saved/loved?" is the only series conclusion that would've made perfect sense. See you with the same message, just rephrased differently, next year!

It's kind of silly, but I HC that listening to Eyes Without a Face by Billy Idol totally brings back the vaguest, blurriest memories. Dean can't figure out what it is for the life of him, until Cas starts appearing behind him and Dean can feel the intensity of that stare and he's like-- oh yeah when Cas showed up in hell-- *memory wipe*

I want season 16 to start with a black screen, Zeppelin playing quietly and slowly getting a little louder. The black screen pans down, and we see Cas sitting in darkness, eyes closed, headphones on with a little walkman on his lap.

He looks tranquil, barely, and then the walkman breaks (somehow), the music either skips and sputters to a stop or just straight up stops, and Cas opens his eyes, fearfully looking around and down at the walkman. Hes frantically trying to fix it, then slowly loses willpower. Tears gather in his eyes, the camera pans back into the darkness.

We hear a tiny, broken voice, "Please." And the Title Card is in the pure darkness.

Supernatural September - Day 2 | Identity

[i think that moment near the end of s7, where cas, who still isn't even all himself, who doesn't want to fight anymore, looks at dean and tells dean "i'll come with you", was a moment where a switch flipped in dean's brain. i think dean might've been falling in love with cas slowly, behind layers and layers of emotional fog, over the course of seasons 5-6 but this was maybe the moment he hit the ground. after the betrayal and the pain of losing cas he probably thought he banished all positive cas related feelings but he didn't really banish them, he just suspended them, threw a dirty sheet on top like he did the impala. and then this moment, "i'll come with you", and the sheet's ripped off, the feelings un-suspend, and the loves comes crashing down around him, only he still doesn't know it's love, not like that, because he's dean winchester, of course. but how else do we explain how doubled-down invested he is in cas's safety, in his remaining by dean's side, throughout purgatory and then in 8x07, when just prior to that he was still stubbornly feeling betrayed by cas and kinda refusing to see him, acting irritated by him.]

think i was probably gonna make some grand conclusion to this but i just found it in my drafts and I don't remember. have it anyways cause yeah i believe it. idk final hour season 7 love halfway-realization even though cas is still loopy, makes me crazy!!!!!

Just finished S14, just have to question why Dean was so quick to try and kill his magic son like his brother and bestfriend haven’t also done incredibly insane things for a variety of reasons.

And the real kicker is.

It’s going to get so much worse.
