When I was first talking about movement on this list between 2022 and 2024, I wasn’t sure how much movement there would be in the Top 10. Those games are still great, shouldn’t they stay up there? Of course, some games might supplant them, games that I hadn’t played last time. But today’s list shows that some games aren’t just supplanted, they take a hefty fall. dialtown object head model masterlist
looong post incoming! i've been on a hunt to have a full list of what every dialtown character's head is, kind of as an extension of my own phone (and printer) collecting irl. these were compiled with the help of a very kind handful of people, most notably @germaaaaaaaaaa who has a real knack for sniffing models out! photos are from the sources linked as well as my own personal collection.
phonegingi/callum
3D models based on this specific Ericsson Bakelite 1507, as shown in the extras menu (see first photo below). Note the broken plate on the front where one would put the number card, which is reflected in both Gingi and Callum’s models (Gingi’s has it facing downwards, and Callum’s faces upwards):

typegingi
3D model based on two typewriter models: the overall shape is that of a 1948-1949 Royal Quiet Deluxe, while the keys, carriage, and various details (like the color indicator dots to the side of the keyboard) from an Olympia SM9. Jbhusker on r/typewriters identified that for me :]

oliver
Telecom Eireann Slaney, the Irish version of the BT Relate 200, in color “oatmeal”. He also has a removable plastic standee part on the back that allows it to be hung on the wall, which we don’t see in his sprites but we do see in an image Dog posted of the back of the phone (which is how we know he's in oatmeal, since it's noted on the sticker- the photo below of my slaney is actually in alpine white, it's just become a similar oatmealy color due to age), as well as in the crowd shot during Roger’s presentation, with someone else with the same head.
karen
3D model that is primarily based on a Canon Pixma ts202 (thanks to Smooth in phonecord for that ID!), but has significant differences in shape and color. She’s one of a kind!
randy
Nokia 3410, which came in a couple colors (the Randy aqua we know, silver, and rarely red).
bigfoot
A disposable camera without its outer plastic shell or paper labeling, this Renault one or something similar (maybe different branding? I swear dog mentioned he got bigfoot’s camera at a zoo.). Smooth on the discord found this one.

norm
norm's head is made of meat. here's his hat (which he wears backwards in his sprites). (i never wrote down who found this one and i can't re-find it in phonecord search, sorry. like a 90% chance it was germa)

mingus
Salvage the cat. Salvage the cat is a very unique model of cat.
roger
FeTAp 791-1, in orange (apparently hueshifted- in real life he’s red, but there ARE orange versions of this model, they’re just harder to find than some other colors). This model came in a bunch of colors- please enjoy this one that looks like it’s made of meat and gristle. Far as I can tell, these were mostly German, but also popped up fairly frequently in the Soviet Union. Mine is an Argentinean release of the same model.
peter
Western Electric Model 500, the most widely-produced rotary phone in history, in red. Note also that Peter has no lettering or numbering on his head, which is edited (it’s not possible to sand off a 500’s numbering because it’s actually filled-in plastic vice paint on top). Due to the color & clear plastic wheel, Peter’s model is from 1956 or later.
god
Emerson 11P50. Here’s the specific stock images that his sprites are of, too. byrdffv on phonecord.
jerry
Bell JO-4 or JN-4, same make, different color. Jerry is the same solid color all-around. I’d assumed he had to be custom-painted- I haven’t seen a single Jerry or almost-Jerry that’s the same solid color he is on the internet besides his OG stock photo (since, as you can see on mine, the metal and plastic parts are always different colors), but it’s not a well-documented series of models, and according to Dogman he’s seen ones like him IRL. Here’s the stock images used for Jerry. See also, his wheelchair, a LAWC001 (that one’s credit to Germa).

mr. dickens
K6 Telephone box. Not much more to say, there aren’t a massive amount of red UK telephone box models.

and with that, i've reached the 30-image limit per post. i'll continue this in a reblog, or you can view the rest of them at the google doc i've set up here!

Those new B&N “Night Court” editions of the ACOTAR books are totally wrong.
If you truly want covers representative of the Night Court and all it stands for they should be brown, maybe with little bits of corn stuck to them. Deluxe editions would have a scratch and sniff sticker that smells like my cat’s litter box after I share my ice cream with him.
#anti acotar#anti night court#anti rhysand#anti feyre#fyi I am saying these books are shit because they are#pro tamlin#anti sjmaas#anti sjm

I started and beat this within like 4 days in July 2023, and I just completely forgot to take photos of this spread T-T.
BUT I loved Tunic so much, one of my all time favorite games I've ever played. If this was a Zelda game, it might've been my favorite Zelda game. This was only beat out by Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice bc my aa brainrot is that bad hfjdkal.
All of the stickers come with ordering the physical version of the game on fangamer!! There's also a freebie fox sticker I got from TheLittleBirdeeCo thats below keep reading.
My writing is typed below as well as my game notes. I will not type out my game notes and I also don't recommend looking at them unless you have played the game.

Game notes^ Plus a little blurb after rewatching a playthrough that I won't type out either since these are more just for fun.

Game Notes:
beautiful 3D animation and modeling - very pleasing
wide attacking range - don't just attack straight forward
incredible environmental design and path making
two endings - exploration and collection for good end
diverse attack patterns and learning curve + boss rush
Summary
What a phenomenal game. I loved playing this game so much. It was challenging and I wasn't used to the souls mechanics, but I learned fast and had so much fun fighting the bosses. I love the two endings. The Bad where you replace your former self as the heir, continuing the cruel cycle. The Good where you free the Heir and find out it's you, older, someone who is no longer stuck in the cycle, and you get to be friends together. The music is absolutely gorgeous. I listened to it while falling asleep and was just sobbing from it. I love how mysterious the lore is and how everything still hasn't been answered. I love the designs of the environments and enemies and how the game can go from nice and serene to dark and creepy. I loved how this game was a perfect blend of 2D zelda plus monument valley plus a souls game, it forced me to think outside of the box and use my journal to takes notes on all the little secrets and surprises. I can def see myself play this game again, it's such a charming game that has a lot of nostalgia despite being a fairly new game. I am so happy I bought the deluxe edition, I truly cherish this game so much and love the stickers and artbooks I received. I highly recommend this game to anyone, it is such an incredible journey to go through. I'm gonna be spending a lot of time watching and reading about the lore and digging deeper into this game. Truly what a phenomenal game with such a cute yet tragic main character, ough i love tunic.

Wilco - Orpheum Theatre, Boston, Massachusetts, October 19, 2002
After Tim, another big-ass midwestern boxed set ... a little while back, Wilco released a massive Yankee Hotel Foxtrot super deluxe edition — weighing in at 11 LPs, it may be the heaviest collection of music I own (I got a deal on it I couldn't refuse, you see).
With a few hours worth of previously unreleased studio material, it gives you a microscopic view of YHF, from ragged sketches to lavish arrangements. But the album holds up to this kind of scrutiny; in fact, I might argue that Wilco was trying (unconsciously, perhaps) to make something that would require a box like this. After all, these were guys who had quite clearly spent the previous decade gorging themselves on Smile and Pet Sounds sessions, The Beatles' Anthology, Dylan's Bootleg Series and beyond. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot may have been hailed as Wilco's embrace of art rock ... but it's more accurate to call this stuff "outtake rock" when you look at it as a whole. Tweedy and co. delighted in approaching these songs from every angle imaginable, creating a dizzying number of possibilities to choose from. YHF as it was released is just one of those possibilities, a single piece of an unsolvable puzzle.
Or something like that, anyway. I saw Wilco several times during the YHF era, in increasingly larger spaces. It was cool to hear how the band grew into the new stuff, evolving away from the baroque textures of the late Bennett period and into something a bit subtler. This Boston show was probably the best of the bunch — great sound, a thoughtful setlist, a cool vibe. Listening to the tape all these years later, the highlight is still the same: the churning "Not For The Season" (AKA "Laminated Cat") that shows up early on, a song that wasn't on any album (Loose Fur, Wilco or otherwise) at the time. But it still feels like a total hit, as the band careens into a long closing jam, another possibility.

Board Game Buddies
Rating: T Words: 890 Fandom: Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse (No Spoilers)
Johnathon Ohnn met Ozo Macias at a board game cafe.
-
Both had shown up individually, drifting around on an event night. Most other people had already settled into groups; some played simple games like Uno, and others had complex sets with hundreds of tiny little tokens and other tchotchkes.
Johnathon was sitting at a table, unpacking some sort of inventory building game, when a shorter man approached him.
“Is this seat taken?” the man said as he gestured to the seat across the table.
“Uh- no, you can sit.” Johnathon briefly looked up to acknowledge the person, but immediately looked back down. The chaotic crowd was overstimulating, and focusing on a single task helped keep his anxiety under control.
The stranger tilted his head curiously, surveying the mess of tiles and pop-up meeples. “What game is this? I don't think I've seen it here before.”
“Oh, no, of course you wouldn't have- I supported this game on Jumpstarted and got the deluxe edition copy out of it.” Johnathon continued popping little cardboard pieces out of their containers. The texture felt nice, the sound was satisfying- and the smell of fresh pieces was always so pleasant.
“It looks like fun. May I play?”
Johnathon looked up from his pieces again, finally taking in the stranger who had sat before him.
The first thing he noticed was the hair- a dark emerald green that appeared almost black at first, had it not been for the fluorescent lighting that hinted the coloration. It was cropped short, showing off cat themed earrings.
He wore large circular glasses with a thin metal frame that perched on the edge of his nose, which highlighted the contrasting brown and green eyes lined with heavy pencil eyeliner.
His shirt read, in bold white lettering, "PROUD PARENT OF A GAY CAT." The words were printed over a black cat outline superimposed over a rainbow. Bootcut jeans were very obviously rolled up several times, showing small bits of rainbow patterned socks. Chunky pony-bead bracelets lined both his arms, and a leather satchel hung over one of his shoulders.
"How do you know your cat is gay?"
The man's eyes lit up and a cartoonish grin stretched over his cheeks. "It runs in the family. Like father like son!"
Johnathan couldn't help it- he laughed. "That's a good line."
"Thanks! I'm Ozo, by the way." Ozo stretched out a fist towards Johnathon. "So... is that a yes on playing?"
"Johnathon. And sure." He did not acknowledge the fist, deciding instead to pass the instructions to Ozo and let him read it over.
Ozo flipped through the pamphlet, silent as he studied. It gave Johnathon time to finish the last of prepwork, most things already sorted. He offered the different character tokens to Ozo, curious as to who the man would pick.
"Hmm.. do any of them have backstories?"
"Oh! Ah, yes! Hold on let me grab it-" Johnathon stuttered out, fumbling for something still in the box. He handed Ozo slightly larger cards that read as mini bios for the character tokens laid in front of him.
To say Ozo was excited was like saying a tornado had wind- technically true, but didn't quite capture the full scope. He gleefully accepted the cards, eyes skating over the words rapidly. He shook his head and stuck his tongue out at one, placing the card down. Another was sorted into maybe, another immediate reject, and on he went until only two characters; Arachne the Venomous and Octavius the Lyrical.
"Damn… the hardest choice before a roleplaying game. Do I wanna play a funny little guy or a cuntress?"
Johnathon let out a quiet wheeze at the boldness of Ozo's statement, amused if only for the absurdity in wording.
"If it matters any- the backstory doesn't really matter, it was just something extra they included because I helped Jump it. Normally you'd just pick based on appearance."
"Cuntress it is!" Ozo said, slapping his hand on Arachne's tile.
Johnathon laughed harder at that, an actual snort. Ozo smiled, his cheeks tinged pink.
"Glad I can make you laugh. Now… you ready to play?"
"Yeah. I think we'll make a good team."
Ozo and Johnathon began the game at that point, and time seemed to blur as they counted coins and traded trinkets.
And so it went, even as other guests to the cafe slowly trickled out. It was just them, an employee, and two other people playing chess. The employee stopped by their table, interrupting the game.
"Hey, we close in 20 minutes. Finish up your game."
Ozo glanced back at John. "Maybe we can play again sometime?"
"Ah- yeah. yeah, I'd like that."
"Cool. Give me your number, I'll send you a picture of my cat so you know it's me."
Johnathon listed the numbers, got in his car, and drove away as Ozo walked to the nearby subway station.
When he got home, he noticed a text had arrived from an unknown number. John opened the message- and was greeted by a picture of an adorable black cat dressed in a lobster costume. directly below it was just "haii :3 his name is nyx".
He read over the text, stared at the image more, and came to a sudden realization.
Johnathon Ohnn became infatuated with Ozo Macias at a board game cafe.

No Girls Toy (Fanfic)
New chapter from my main series 🩷
When Pinocchio woke up that morning, he found it odd that Gemini wasn’t in the room with him, he got out of his room, and in the living room, his father was waiting for him, Gemini’s cage was on the table.
“Good morning son, just time time to see the surprise” His father was smiling.
With that said the cage was opened and Gemini came out from inside.
“Hey buddy”
Pinocchio had stars in his eyes, he kneeled to get a closer look, Gemini was finally out of his cage, he extended his hand and Gemini jumped into it.
“Gemini we can finally do so many things together!” Pinocchio was so excited. When they did stuff together he was the one who had to do things on Gemini’s behalf, and that didn’t bother him at all, it’s more so the fun part that Gemini is finally able to do them.
“He is still going to have to be inside his cage while outside, so it can protect him” Gemini is made out of the best materials so he is very resilient himself, but the best is for him to be inside his cage for protection, and little crickets aren’t exactly safe walking outside by themselves.
Pinocchio and Gemini were so excited about all the fun stuff they could do together, but they decided that first, the best idea was to make Gemini’s life at home more comfortable.
—-
Pinocchio knows Krat extremely well, so he remembers passing by many times the place they are currently in, it’s a doll store that sells different types of small houses and other accessories and of course the dolls themselves. All in different sizes.
Gemini was in his hands looking at everything, Both could overhear the store staff talking.
“Isn’t that Pinocchio, Geppetto’s son?”
“Yeah, go there and show him the most expensive house”
“Why?”
“What do you mean why? Geppetto is loaded, he probably gives him a huge allowance”
“Pinocchio tell them that you don’t need any help” Gemini spoke up, geez, if they were going to say stuff like that they should at least lower their voices more.
Pinocchio followed Gemini’s advice and they were left alone, “Gemini what does that mean?”
“Don’t think too much about it, just that your father has a lot of money and they want to take advantage of that” Not the first time something like this has happened, Gemini always helps Pinocchio not to get stuck buying things that are way too expensive or falling for scams.
Well, most of the time, the boy certainly didn't listen to him when he was dealing with the fox and cat stalkers, but Gemini has come to just accept that Pinocchio sees them as friends, more than that he sees them as family, and that at least they care about him.
“Mmm, there are so many options” Gemini wasn’t sure what to pick, there were so many, all in different sizes.
He doesn’t need a big one, it’s not like he is actually going to use the things inside of them, it’s more so for comfort and to have a space for himself, so he doesn’t need that 5-floor deluxe edition with a balcony one that they were about to offer them. He already has that small bed that Lady Antonia gifted him and it looks like it can fit in any of these houses.
They decided that would be a good idea to buy a simple 4-room one that was empty and let Gemini choose what sort of things he would like to have inside the home.
While Pinocchio was paying for everything another person came inside the store, who as soon as they saw Gemini rushed to their side.
“I’ve never seen this toy before, where did you buy it?” A man said, “And why did you take him out of his box?“
“Not this guy again,” Said one of the store clerks under his breath, He took a deep breath, he is a collector too so he understands but this guy tends to take it too far. Still, that’s their best customer so…
“I’m not…” Gemini then realizes that he is at a toy store, buying a toy house, and even buying toy clothes, this guy isn’t going to take him seriously if he says that.
“Gemini is my friend” Pinocchio felt uncomfortable, this guy was staring way too intensely at Gemini.
“Okay yeah he is your friend but where did you get it, I know every single toy line that has ever been released to the public in Krat and I KNOW that this toy, isn’t one of them” The man had a know-it-all voice.
“My father made him for me” Pinocchio doesn’t want to try and explain everything and maybe mentioning that Gemini is unique would leave him alone.
But it had the exact opposite effect.
“Who built him for you?” Then the man stopped staring at Gemini and stared at Pinocchio, “Wait, you are that son Geppetto built for himself right? So he can also build toys? Why does he waste his time and talent building puppets when he could be making beautiful toys like this one” He was pointing at Gemini now.
“Here is your change come back soon have a nice day” The store clerk wanted to avoid dragging this conversation.
Gemini went back inside his cage but before he and Pinocchio could leave, the man stepped in front of Pinocchio.
“Man don’t start” The store clerk was done, and the other one had gone to the back, not wanting to deal with the situation.
“Can you take him out of his cage so I can have a closer look? I want to know how he can change colors like that?”
“It’s because he is angry” Now Pinocchio was angry too.
“It changes colors with its emotions?! That’s unheard of, I need to see him again”
Pinocchio took a few steps back, this guy was capable of trying to steal Gemini.
“Look man, I’m done with your shit, you are banned from the store”
The man refused to leave and refused to stop questioning Pinocchio, so the store clerk grabbed a broom and chased them out as if they were a cat.
Pinocchio and Gemini couldn’t help but laugh, it was amusing.
“We also make custom clothes, in case you and your friend need something special”
Pinocchio was smiling, despite the strange experience, maybe this was a place he could come to later if Gemini needed more things.
As both left the other clerk came out from the back.
“Well we lost our best customer but we got Geppetto’s puppet son, that’s probably going to be even better business!”
“Am I the only person that works in this store that actually likes toys?!”
—-
Back home, Pinocchio was helping Gemini set up his new house. He even made him a tiny painting so that he could hang it in his new home.
“Buddy, what’s wrong?” Gemini could tell something was wrong.
“Um well…” It was something Pinocchio noticed that had been happening more and more.
“That son Geppetto built for himself”
At least that one store clerk was nice, he even knew his name, but the experience with that other man made Pinocchio remember other words like that.
“Geppetto’s puppet”
“Geppetto’s pretend son”
“Carlo’s replacement”
If he can take a guess the comments have increased because more people recognize who he is. Not to say that every time he goes outside he hears those things but it always makes him upset.
“It’s okay to feel upset, if you pretend it doesn’t bother you then it’s going to hurt you in the long run” Gemini chirped.
Pinocchio wiped a few tears from his face, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bring the mood down”
“It’s okay buddy, don’t apologize for how you feel”
Pinocchio feels really lucky to have Gemini as his friend.
—-
Gemini really enjoys his new house and everything about being able to walk around, what surprises him is how high he can jump, just as high as a normal cricket, if not a little more. Geppetto truly is a genius inventor.
Pinocchio wanted to do something nice for his father, and so did Gemini but it seems like they were disagreeing on how to show their gratitude.
“Pinocchio you are still banned from using the kitchen” Gemini knows that he has good intentions but rules are rules.
“Come on Gemini, now that you can walk, you can help me more!” Pinocchio was excited, too excited it looked like he wasn’t going to back down.
Gemini took a deep breath, he told Pinocchio that maybe he should make his father a painting or buy him something but that brat couldn’t stop insisting, he said that he wanted to make something for his father so that when he came home he would have something to eat so there was no other choice.
Pinocchio decided to bake his father a cake, everything was going surprisingly well, Gemini was standing up on top of the recipe book, and Pinocchio was following the instructions, he used the correct amount for everything and the texture was just as described, the only thing left was to put it inside the oven.
—-
“WHAT DID I SAY? WHAT RULE DID I GIVE YOU? YOU ARE GROUNDED!”
Geppetto was shouting, all the firefighters could hear him loud and clear, thankfully Pinocchio was taught the emergency services number, even better is that the kitchen was only partially burned, only the oven and stove were truly damaged but they would have to be completely replaced.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry” Pinocchio was crying, Gemini was standing on his shoulder, he wanted to say, “I told you so” but his father was scolding him like never before.
”You aren’t allowed to go outside for 3 weeks!”
“3 weeks?!” Pinocchio had never been grounded for so long.
“It’s going to last more if you try to question me” Geppetto wasn’t playing around. “No hanging out with Eugéne or Venigni and no lessons with your Mother”
“But-“
“I already called her and told her what happened, and she agreed with this” Unfortunately as much good intentions Pinocchio had, he screw up badly, bad enough that his mother that spoils him all the time agreed with this punishment.
“You can’t see your pony either”
Pinocchio started crying louder. “I’m sorry Father please, I’m sorry!”
Geppetto knows that his son didn’t mean any harm, but this could have ended so much worse.
Pinocchio stomped his feet on the ground, this was so frustrating! He only wanted to do something nice and he is a fast learner, why doesn’t that work when he starts baking?!
“Buddy don’t throw a tantrum in front of the firefighters,” Gemini said.
But that had the opposite effect and Pinocchio began to throw an even bigger tantrum, saying how it wasn’t fair that he couldn’t understand how to bake, how he could do all these other things but he still didn’t know what to bake. He stomped his feet multiple times, to the amusement of everyone watching. Pinocchio doesn’t tend to act this much like a brat, so Gemini is assuming that he is still upset about the things he heard about him before, maybe it’s best he talks with his father about this.
Eventually, Pinocchio calmed down and his father hugged him. Gemini took that opportunity to jump to Geppetto’s shoulder and while Pinocchio went to his room after all was done, he explained the situation to his father.
“I see, I’m going to talk with him about this, thank you Gemini”
Gemini only wants what’s best for Pinocchio. He jumps to the floor and makes his way to Pinocchio’s room, he slides down from the small space of the door and enters, he sees that Pinocchio is writing in his diary, best not to interrupt him; Gemini makes his way to his house, that’s just in Pinocchio’s nightstand so they can sleep close to each other.
He opened the door and turned on the lights, he was quite impressed with the fact that it came with working lights for each room. He made his way to his new bedroom. Soon after, Pinocchio stopped writing and changed clothes, ready to go to bed as well.
“I’m sorry” Pinocchio mumbled under his breath.
“It’s okay, I’m here for you if you need anything”
Pinocchio turned off the lights in his room, and Gemini turned off the lights of his home.
“Goodnight”
“Goodnight Buddy”
