so apparently my roommate straightup Did Not Know that leaving your food out on the countertop for several hours can give you food poisoning. i thought when she brushed me off every time i told her to put her food away she was simply throwing caution to the wind. This month I played A LOT of games. Fun games. Spooky games. Games with friends. Games that make you think. And they have kept me from falling into complete despair over the state of the world. (Hang in there, friends!)

There are so many games I want to mention, so we're going to take a different approach than usual.

If you like the vibes of Doki Doki Literature Club, check out MiSide and... uh, let's look this one up: "The NOexistenceN of you AND me"? 😅 Another oddly named, but interesting set of games are "Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk" and "Milk outside a bag of milk outside a bag of milk". Along with Looking Up I See Only a Ceiling, these games deal with the feelings of living with anxiety and mental illness.

For something a bit more lighthearted, I recently found my copy of Nintendo Switch Sports. This game doesn't quite live up to Wii Sports, in my opinion, but it is pretty fun, and being able to play online is great. Even more enjoyable, I finally started playing Stardew Valley. I was always overwhelmed at the thought of how much you could do in the game, but I'm playing with a friend who's guiding me through it. And we're having so much fun!

I've been deep into The Sims 2 again. And enjoying watching over my beloved pixel people. 🥲 Also, I'm playing Undertale for the first time. Which is really sweet and funny so far, but I'm partly fearing there will be some sort of sad ending.

And for one little side mention, my Mom and I have been watching The Repair Shop, and we both love it. This show is heartwarming and emotional, where people's precious items are repaired with such love and care.

Frustrating. I would love to vent about the spiraling chain of stuff I’ve been dealing with, but it would take forever.

Like, to explain “this”, I’d have to tell you about “that”, and to understand the significance of “that” I’d have to tell you about something else…

Basically, to REALLY make sense of it all I’d have to give you 35 years of back story!!!!

When people ask how things are going, it’s like trying to explain a comic book continuity or long running soap opera to someone that’s never heard of it!

Trouble is, it’s a comic book without world saving fight scenes or soap operas with no romances. In other words boring! Long winded AND boring!!

So, no, I can’t vent about dealing with the contents of, and then refilling, a huge closet I’d never realized was there** is a crucial step it working on the plumbing.

Back to to work, and the world of deadly dust and jutting nails….

**I knew there was a door, and it must be a closet, but damned if I remember it ever being opened. My whole family slept in that room the first nine years of my life, for crying out loud! Long story.
