There was no scene of Levi and Celia hugging supportively after the close call with the Scarlett, 0/10

Levi has been turned into a marketable plush. But Celia doesn't mind

Based on this comment, 'cept I used Celia instead of Vi.

Honestly, what's wrong with Queen Elizant II in bugfables? She was not a good queen.
A group of ladybugs stole some aphid eggs and she decided to ban ALL ladybugs from the ant kingdom? And then when they tried to make their own country because they were kicked out, she was "lol, no, go live in a ditch in the desert". Totally messed up.
Poor Levi had to get a special permit just to live in his own home.
Honestly given the chance I woulda joined Astotheles, no doubt about it.

Bugtober day 11: Full Moon
"Hey Levi?"
"Yes, Celia?"
"Is the moon big?"
...
"Is it?"
...
...
"That is considerably larger than usual."
"I know, right?"

Just the Foxes Image from that one ask now. Levi and Celia are probably easier to distinguish as their counterparts than Scarlet but tbh we want our specific version of selkies to be slightly more difficult to differentiate as Themselves in Pelted Form compared to Normal Form so take this as "dude trust me".

"Sounds like an oxymoron, but it is pretty expected to see unexpected alliances here, in the Zone. That being said, last thing anyone expected from an ant mutant hunter is to put a good word for a supposed bandit - at least his gear surely was one of the bandits'.
Celia known around as the daredevi picking up the hunting contracts most bugs avoid. PseduoGiants? Spore Controllers? Centimeras? She has quite a few on her trophy wall - if she had the said wall, I mean. It's hard not to be a powerhouse, when you're an ant gone stray and your natural endurance helps ya to keep a hecking machine gun loaded with expansive and AP mixed belt shooting straight at the target even on the move. You may be a dangerous beast, but try to fight under the precise hail of bullets - you'd had to have no brains or self-preservation, I say.
Where were I? Ah, right. And all of the sudden, one day you see her walking together with a ladybug. You know, their species has, to say the least, quite a dislike on the Big Land - and moreso, there was a gossip Levi hails from one of the Loners group gone into banditry. Nobody likes bandits. Still, Celia picked him as her partner. Seemingly, Levi saved her at some point, and after that, he became her "cover me abdomen" bug, shooting mutants who try to bite her in the arse, disposing of things like pseudoaphids, psy-weevils and their illusions, and such, and such. Also, cuts her ammo expenses by sniping small fries and checks finances.
And... hm. Now, I don't want to tell ya about their shenanigans - not because I am noble and don't pry into personal matters, I just don't know - but some whispers say that this ant is, ironically, very protective of her ladybug. I know, right? Her lesser ancestors should've been protecting aphids from these beetles, and yet if now any pseudoaphid will try and harm Levi, she WILL turn it into a poorly minced piece of meat in lead sauce. But don't dare tell anyone I said that - I don't want to have an angry blue ant pointing guns on me for, cough, "slandering"."

Febuwhump Day 12 - Semi-Conscious
Hi. We forgot to post things. Our apologies for any tag spam that may occur, we're putting these under-cut regardless of actual length so that we don't violate common courtesy too much here. Behold, part one of the We Forgot To Post Some Prompts Special.
We are staggering these by a day or two because we don't want to flood the tag. You can expect three today and four (probably) in a bit - our apologies for the flood, and our apologies for repeating the same crime as in the end of February proper.
We have a grand total of seven prompts in the same technically-finished-but-we-were-busy-on-the-day-of state for this event - which is entirely too much for loading the Bug Fables tag with in one day, since there are other people also posting who may not want their stuff buried under seven different bits of mostly "we cut this up because the full concept is a few thousand words long and got too ambitious to fit in a single month" works.
Although technically one is an illustration, it is also an illustration that we finished... in a different country, while travelling. In theory, it's in our bags somewhere. In practice, we're mostly unpacked and haven't found it, which means it's either lodged in a sketchbook somewhere or left in a different country. For obvious reasons, this puts a slight damper on being able to post it (thus, the probably four).
The smell was even stronger here, a pervasive corpse-scent seeping through the space. As she got closer to the source of the scent, Celia couldn't shake the feeling that something was watching her, hidden in the shadows just ahead. Celia glanced around the cavern, fear creeping up her throat-
A moth laid in the corner, staring at her with wide, pale eyes.
Celia froze.
It looked like death warmed over - or like it was already dead, and the body just hadn't fully collapsed yet. Its limbs were limp, only barely propping up his body, its eyes glazed and reflecting the light of her torch like white pearls, its chitin looking brittle and half-faded. She took a moment just staring, trying to tell if it was still alive or already gone, trapped in its blank, unmoving gaze.
Its sides weren't moving.
Celia uncertainly moved closer, staring at the... was it a dead body? She felt the setae raise on the back of her neck, the distinct feeling of something watching her creeping into the back of her mind. The moth's body was still, but she couldn't shake the feeling that it was looking at her.
The tracks ended here. The scent trail, likewise, had dropped off. The scent of dying ant was strong, but there weren't any ants in here. There wasn't anything here but the moth's body, in fact - and though she knew that her sense of smell wasn't the best, compared to other ants, she could swear that the pervasive dead-ant smell was coming from...
Celia tentatively reached out to touch the moth's wing, and it moved.

Some very general buggy headcanons for Bug Fables, focusing on the Main Three and the Explorers Association. Spoilers for the game.
Kabbu: (Rainbow Scarab Beetle)
- being a dung beetle (despite the name he's perfectly happy with mushrooms and leaves and everything else, he's actually quite diverse in his diet), he is very good at digging. He actually really likes digging too! Take a little dirt nap
- related to the previous, he loves being COMPRESSED. To mimic the feeling of layers of soil, he'll pile on blankets and pillows until he's satisfied. (During cuddle sessions he is at the very bottom of the pile)
- when it gets cold, his tunneling instinct increases ever so slightly. Not enough for him to start acting different, but he tends to hoard blankets.
Vi:
Leif (Technically a Fungus running on moth hardware, but sometimes old habits die hard lmao), Mothiva, and Yin:
- Bees don't need to 'dance' in order to communicate anymore, but Vi still uses a lot of hand gestures and moves a lot when talking, especially if she's frustrated or feels like she's not communicating well enough. If you bring attention to this, she will get mad.
- When cold, Vi will try to huddle up to bugs nearby. Typically Kabbu, but she's also done it to Maki, Zasp, Celia, and Stratos. (Leif is very jealous of this, but he's already cold, so-)
- they groom their ruffs, wings, and antennae frequently. For starters, this acts as a grounding experience that calms them down, and secondly no one likes having dirt on them. Yin isn't super good at it because she's so young, but she's getting better. Mothiva uses specialized powders and perfumes while doing it, but Leif does it the 'old fashioned way', aka with his spit, lol. Mothiva nearly fainted when she first saw him doing this.
- bright lights (especially artificial ones) can really mess up with their internal clock and GPS. I'd imagine Leif and Mothiva getting really really really lost in the Termite Kingdom and Bee Kingdom because of this.
Maki and Kina:
- they both have amazing reflexes, and they can go from a standstill to moving very quickly in what seems to be an instant
- they will track quick movement instinctually, especially from smaller bugs and critters. Most bugs assume this just shows how observant and skilled they are, when really it's a hunting trait. The two actually find it very embarrassing to suddenly interrupt a conversation when they see something move very quickly out of the corner of their eye and NEED to turn their head to see what it was.
Zasp: (I know the game says he's a potter wasp, but for my writing he's a paper wasp. He doesn't know this though, and assumes he is a potter wasp)
- when anxious, he will grind his mandibles against one another. It almost looks like he's chewing on nothing, and it would kinda be like chewing your lip or grinding your teeth. Chewing on things also helps.
- loves sleeping in little nest-like formations with blankets and pillows. He'd gather up all the bedding material, form a little "wall" with them, and climb in the middle to sleep.
Celia, Gen, and Eri:
- The three of them still use their antennae to help with direction, location, and general senses. This can lead to issues; Gen and Eri have accidentally followed each other for hours (cough cough ant spiral) and Celia, having a broken antennae, is terrible with directions. (If blindfolded, Celia will slowly go in circles)
- Ant Strength baby!!! The three of them are surprisingly strong, and can carry really heavy stuff! To compensate, they're a bit frail (it's why Celia has a shield, and why Gen and Eri rarely get into actual fights).
Levi:
- My man fucking loves Aphid Eggs. Due to the tension between the Ant Kingdom and Ladybugs, he actually doesn't like buying them in public. He usually settles for mushrooms.
- his blood is actually toxic, (something Delilah learned the hard way during a spar) and is sort of a 'last resort' defensive maneuver. If a target can get over being covered in blood, they definitely can't deal with the toxins.
Stratos: (I believe he's a Hercules Beetle)
- He's a technically nocturnal, so he's a little groggy during the day. To others it looks like he's being lazy, when really he's just tired and a little out of it. During the night is when he really shines as a fighter and explorer
- he can dig like Kabbu, but isn't very vocal nor enthusiastic about it. Stratos prefers a shallow little ditch to lay in, which is something he might do if he's really really tired.
Delilah:
- She only actually drinks blood during fights as an attack, or if she's seriously injured and needs a pick-me-up (Stratos will usually step up to the plate for that). She's totally fine with nectar and plant juices and berry juices otherwise. Delilah is aware of the stereotype, and she just kinda rolls her eyes at it.
- Delilah can actually fly like Vi or Zasp. But she prefers to keep this information to herself, as she's worried it'll have people ask her to do more work.
