Not saying that I don't read, but if finishing a sample of a Cesar Millan 🦮 training to assist with my talks with our Chihuahua rescue helped significantly... Straight buying the book could've helped us with his insecurity.

OMFG we really had a skin and bones dog who I was able to train to politely say please with a gentle paw to your hand or arm. It took them a bit to trust me after having lived undernourished and then brought to a shelter. It was so bad that a vet stared at us as if we did that to him.

Imagine how embarrassed they were when we told her that we just adopted him from a county away. We got our 1yo up and healthy. They weren't much for friending other dogs or strangers who came into the house. In fact he prided himself on being our protector. A job he sometimes took too seriously.

We love our boy. He was our protector who actually looked people up and down -- judging them. My nurses adored him. New strangers in buly, had him uneasy. It took him a week of studying me for him to see that I'm not going anywhere and I can't up and leave him. Anxiety about me 💨 -- gone.
