SPY x FAMILY Chapter 114 SPOILERS
So it's out a few days already, this time, focuses on more on the Briar family!
Well, it's exactly more about Yuri's pov about Yor! :)))
Morning-Noon: Negotiation for unrelated reasons (?) -> Tired :")))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But that tireness can't stop him from Yor's "date", yeah, he elaborated that TOO much :))) typical Yuri :>
Dude, like, as if he hadn't seen her for years🤣🤣🤣
Tumblr media
First, take her to shopping, but it kinda backfired (?) Yor takes family problems her top priority, before she herself :')
I think that ever since Yor lived with them, she starting to change a bit (and I think that's very obvious to ALL of you :))))
As a mother-figure to Anya, wife-figure to Loid, she cared so much about them, that she starting to sometimes "sacrificed" for them, to the point she doesn't know what she should get for herself.
That's why Yuri is surprised when Yor actually didn't want anything...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yet, ofc, he still tried to invite her to a fancy restaurant :3
Tumblr media
And Yuri overdramatic 🤣🤣🤣
"Go at it" meaning she went to 'drunk assassin' mode acidentally hit Loid 😅 not the other meaning 🥲
And why is Yuri's voice so loud :)))
As a counterintelligence agent of SSS (State Security Service), he knew mostly everthing about everyone, secret ones, too! Well, except Twilight and WISE :)
Tumblr media
Yor really trying her best to confront Yuri and reassured that she's alright without him though😌
Tumblr media
This is probably my favorite scene :))
Endo-sensei really know how to add piece-of-life drawings😇 making us feel like eventhough they have to do dangerous missions that could cost them their lifes, they are still human with emotions and their own "normal" life as a normal person.
This is probably everyone (especially your grandparents and parents)'s feeling when you have to go study abroad, move away, after so long... idk how your citizens of your country feels when you starting to move, but well, for me, it's something memorable🥹
After I got an official announcement that I passed and got into university in a different city from my home, we were overjoyed! I started to announce to my friends, teachers to taught me the past years to get me enroll in Medicine major! I started packing, trying to hang out more with by bestie to cover up the past times I couldn't meet her, spend more quality time with my family! Especially eating out in my fav restaurants, because I know that the city where I study might not have better food than home city. And the last meal was hotpot, right before I went to the airport with my dad to settle things in at my relatives' home in the other city once we arrived. It didn't ended up in tears, but in joy, actually. Because my mom contacted me almost everyday how I'm doing and sorts :)) But ofc, I knew that when I'm settled, dad will return home, and I know I will be homesick :")) And my parents and younger sis gonna miss me :"))) @chinp-mint my younger sis won't have anyone else to help her with her homework :")) Mom won't have me to assist her in the kitchen when cooking :) Dad's always busy with meetings and all... But I know we have to get used to it sooner or later :)))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why Yuri looked so cute in this panel 😭🥺
.
.
.
oh, he's back now with the rampage :DDDD
Tumblr media
And their hometown is finally mentioned after a while... I remember their home was first mentioned when Yor first learned cooking from her colleague, Camilla.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love those sweet moments of the siblings~
It's such a shame that they don't allow to be together like that...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yuri's true siscon form :")) (well at least he's at least better than Kyoichiro from Mission: Yozakura Family)
Ah ha! New ship unlocked: Yuri x Chloe :))))
Tumblr media
Edit: Check how many times he created noise pollution :)))
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's really tryin to win her over :")) Actually a very good younger brother! Though he's a bit dramatic :")))

The sound of loud crackling thunder wakes you from your peaceful slumber. The glow from the tv screen makes it possible for your tired eyes to make out the room you’re in. You don’t remember falling asleep at all, let alone on the couch in the living room. Light snoring comes from the mouth of your roommate Sasha, who apparently also fell asleep on the couch.
You sit up quietly, trying not to make much movement so you don’t wake Sasha. She’s been pulling extra shifts at the grocery store downtown to help keep you both afloat on bills. You couldn’t blame the poor girl for passing out every other night on the couch. Glancing up at the screen, you laugh quietly at the show you both were watching before you fell asleep – Death Note. How you fell asleep during your favorite anime, you’ll never know.
Another loud boom of thunder shakes the house. You make your way off of the couch, and head to your screened in back porch. Taking a seat in one of the lounge chairs, you sit and watch the storm roll in. The pitter patter sounds of rain hitting your roof brings a calmness to your clouded mind. Between school, working two jobs, and trying to secure an internship, you never really got the time to just relax. This being your first day off from everything in months, you decided to finally take an easy day.
You pull your phone out of the pocket of your black sweatpants, scrolling through notifications you had missed the night before. Nothing out of the ordinary – a couple missed calls from Connie, several texts from Connie, Jean and your parents, and some random social media notifications. You open instagram and check the notifications for your most recent post. One in particular makes your heart flutter.
Jeank-104 : pretty smile for a pretty girl 💛
Seeing comments like this from Jean were anything but unusual. Your relationship was one of those ‘girl loves boy but boy flirts with girl to make her flustered even though he has no feelings’ types. It was frustrating to say the least, but you would endure it as long as it meant he was in your life.
Jean was one of the first people you met when you moved to Trost, and he was one of the few who didn’t bully the absolute shit out of you your first year of school. Being the new girl was never fun, but being the new girl who obviously didn’t come from money was even worse. The bullying got to a point where you tried to pack up and leave, but being only 17 you realized you had no one and nowhere to run to.
On one particularly bad day, one of your biggest bullies had pushed you over the edge. You ran out of the school and didn’t stop. You had no idea where you were going, but you just knew you had to get out. After only a mile, your breathing became labored so you had to slow down. Walking another mile, you finally came upon an empty park. You found a huge tree sitting in the middle of it and plopped yourself down in front of it. There, you cried your eyes out for what felt like hours.
Once you had finally calmed down, you felt a hand pat your back lightly. You jerked away from the touch, sitting up quickly. Glancing up at the person sitting next to you, you met the softest pair of brown eyes you had ever seen. You were entranced by them, watching as little flecks of gold appeared to dance around his pupils.
“Uhm,” he said quietly, not breaking the staring contest you two had started. “Are you okay?”
You nodded your head lightly, bringing your eyes back down to the ground.
“You don’t have to lie to me, you know.”
Your head snapped back up to look at him, your eyebrows knitting together in confusion.
“I heard what they said to you,” he started again quietly. “Reiner is such a fucking dick. Someone needs to kick him in his tiny ballsack so maybe he’ll shut the fuck up.”
You couldn’t help but laugh at that. A smile made its way across your features, and he couldn’t help staring at you. To him, you had the most beautiful smile he had ever seen. He would do anything to make sure you never stopped smiling if he could.
“I’m Jean,” he said, holding out his hand.
You tell him your name as you extend your hand out, intertwining with his.
You smile at the happy memory as you pocket your phone. Rustling noises started to come from the kitchen, signaling that Sasha had finally woken up. You debate between going back inside or staying in your peaceful spot. Once you hear a faint cackling sound of bacon being cooked, going inside wins the debate. As you enter the kitchen, the smell of breakfast overwhelms your senses. You spot Niccolo at the stove, which would make sense since the food actually smells good and not like something is burning.
“Good morning sunshine,” Sasha sings, skipping over to you and engulfing you in a hug.
“Good morning Sash,” you say, trying to tear her body off of yours.
“Why won’t you accept my love?!” she yells as she struggles against your efforts to tear your bodies apart.
“Sash,” you laugh. “It is seven in the morning! Give me time to wake up.”
She releases her grip on you, throwing her hands up in the air.
“Fine! I’ll just go fuck myself, I guess!”
You can’t help but laugh at her overdramatic self. Ever since you’ve known Sasha, she’s been nothing but overdramatic in any situation. Even though you two were completely opposites, you also balanced each other out perfectly. Anytime she would overreact to a situation, you were able to bring her down – and anytime you needed to put someone in their place, she would be your backup.
Nicolo begins to put food onto plates for the three of you. Taking your seat at the table, Sasha follows as you start to converse about your plans for the day.
“I work from 10 to 6 today,” she says. “I also have an interview for a part time job somewhere around lunch time.”
“Girl you work yourself too much,” you reply. “I’ve got things covered for a while. Please take a break.”
“I have to agree with her, Sasha,” Nicolo starts in. “I feel like neither of us see you anymore unless you’re going to work or going to sleep.”
“I took off this weekend,” she says. “Let’s all go do something as a group!”
You nod your head in agreement as you start to tear into the food Nicolo prepared. Within minutes, Sasha is going back for seconds. By the time she’s finishing her second helping, you’re finished with your first. You place your plate into the sink and say your goodbyes to the couple, retreating to your bedroom to work on some homework. As you sit down on your bed, you put your airpods in and shuffle your study playlist. Cigarettes After Sex plays in your ears as you open your Biology book, settling in for the long day ahead of you.
A grueling three hours goes by before you’re finally caught up with all of your assignments in two of your classes. Your brain is throbbing at all of the information it has consumed in that time, and you decide it’s time for a break. You make your way over to your closet and dresser and pick out your outfit for the day. Since it’s still raining and cold, you decide on some black sweats, a cropped tank top, and a cropped jacket to match the top. You grab your dark green and white air forces, adding a touch of color to the simple look. Grabbing your car keys off your nightstand, you make your way to the garage. You needed to run a couple errands today anyways, and now seems like the perfect time to do so.
Entering the garage, you see your pride and joy – your all matte black 2021 Nissan GT-R. Your parents made a deal with you that if you got all A’s in high school, they would pay for at least half of whatever car you wanted. Working your ass off through school isn’t ideal, but you knew exactly what you wanted, and you knew you needed to come up with the other half. By the end of the year, you impressed your parents by getting all A’s, valedictorian, and coming up with half of the money needed to afford it. They couldn’t say no to you.
You enter your car, the smell of Champagne Toast invading your senses. You place your key fob in the cup holder and hit the start button.
Nothing.
“What the fuck,” you mumble to yourself.
After going through the motions a few more times, you hit the steering wheel in frustration.
“You’re brand fucking new,” you yell. “What could possibly be wrong?!”
You get out of the car, popping the hood as you get out. You make your way to the front of the car and look inside.
“I don’t even know what I’m doing.”
You grab your phone out of your sweats pocket and pull up the contact of the only person you trust to work on your baby. The last thing you wanted was to bother Jean, but you knew you had no other option. The phone rang once and he immediately picked up.
“Hey,” Jean spoke in a rough tone, almost sounding out of breath. “What’s up?”
“Hey Jeanboy, I really hate to bother you but my car isn’t starting. Is there any way you could come look at it? No rush or anything, but you know I don’t trust anyone else.”
“Anything for you,” he says sweetly. “I’ll be over in 10.”
He hangs up the phone and your stomach goes crazy. It feels like someone let an entire butterfly exhibit loose in it. You try to think of something to pass the time, but the entire 10 minutes is filled with you just thinking about Jean. Every time he said your name, your heart couldn’t help but get faster. You had been in love with the boy since that first time he sat with you while you cried, and he continued to do that any other time you had a breakdown.
Your garage door opens, breaking you out of your thoughts. You glance up to see the tall brunette boy that holds your heart walk into your garage. Every time you saw him, it was like the first time you had ever laid eyes on him. Even if he was only wearing dark blue jeans and a white tee, you still saw him as the most handsome man ever.
“If you take a picture, it’ll last longer,” he says, smirking at you.
Feeling yourself become flustered, you turn away from Jean so he can’t see the heat rushing to your cheeks. You try to think of words to respond, but between his flirting and just him in general, your brain was mush.
“Okay,” he says. “So tell me what it’s doing exactly, so I can try and pinpoint the problem.”
“It uh, just literally won’t start. Like no turning over, nothing.”
“Fuck,” he sighs.
Your stomach immediately flips. Never did you think one word could sound so sexy.
Jean reaches into his tool bag, grabbing out a few tools that you have never seen before. The only thing you knew about them was that they cost him a lot of money. He had more than once complained because a wrench would break, saying it was going to cost him over $200. Luckily, his dad owned the shop he worked for, so most of that money came from his dads pockets in the end.
“What do you think it could be?”
“Well,” he started. “It really could be a few things. You might need a new starter, or it could just be a dead battery. I’m hoping for a dead battery, because that’ll only run you about $100.”
“God damnit,” you sighed. “Of course this shit would happen in between paydays.”
“I’ll make you a deal. Make me lunch, and I’ll pay for whatever is wrong with your car.”
You shake your head immediately.
“Jean, no.”
“I don’t remember asking for your permission,” he cuts you off. “Let me do this for you, babe.”
Your eyes go wide at the nickname, and you don’t miss the cocky smirk coming across his face.
“Uh, uhm okay,” you stutter out. “I’ll go, uhm, order something real quick.”
He nods at you as he starts to look under the hood of your car. You dismiss yourself to head to the kitchen. Leaning against the sink, you take a moment to breathe. Jean has never called you babe before, so it had completely caught you off guard. He had you a stuttering mess, and you’re sure if he could hear your thoughts he would die of laughter. A mix of emotions run through your body – everything from nervousness to longing for his touch.
Grabbing your phone out of your pocket, you decide ordering food will be a good distraction from the thoughts running rampant in your head. You scroll through your apps quickly, ultimately deciding pizza would be the easiest and cheapest option. Quickly placing the order, you type in your credit card info and pray it goes through. When the green check mark pops up indicating the transaction went through, you silently thank yourself for keeping up with the payments on at least one card.
As you open the door to the garage, you stop in your tracks at the sight in front of your eyes. Jean is bent over the hood of your car, his attention not swaying from the task at hand. He has an arrangement of tools spread across your engine. His mullet is now pulled back into a small man bun, beads of sweat making his baby hairs stick to his forehead. The thing catching the majority of your attention though, is the fact that he is completely shirtless. You can see sweat dripping down his muscular back – a sight you never knew you longed to see so badly.
Your heart is beating so loudly in your chest that you’re almost sure he can hear it. If you weren’t already turned on him just by seeing him earlier, you sure as hell were now.
“I can feel you staring,” Jean says, never breaking his eyes away from your car. “Is there any way I can get you to help me?”
“Uh yeah.”
You slip off your jacket, leaving you in just your cropped tank top and sweats. Walking up beside him, you silently wait for instruction from him. He hands you a flashlight, glancing your way for a second.
“I just need you to hold this light so it’s shining right over here,” he instructs you.
You nod your head as you turn the flashlight on, making sure the light hits exactly where he pointed. Jean glances in your direction, but turns his attention quickly when he notices how prominent your breasts are in your low cut shirt. Pretending not to notice his glance, you lean yourself forward a bit more, making your breasts pop even more in your shirt. You can feel Jean’s staring in his peripheral vision.
“Take a picture,” you say. “It’ll last longer.”
Jean’s face turns beet red as his eyes focus back to your car. You giggle to yourself, not believing that you were able to make him flustered so easily. He continues to tinker with your car as you hold the light in place. You catch him throwing glances your way every once in a while, but you choose to not say anything.
“C’mere,” he says. “Let me show you something.”
You scoot closer to him, but not close enough to his liking. You're taken by surprise when he wraps an arm around your waist, pulling your body in front of his. He leaves his hand on your waist and brings his other hand around you to show you whatever it is he wants you to see. You hear words come out of his mouth, but the thought of his body pressed against yours takes over everything in your mind. Your hands find the edge of the car as you brace yourself against it, afraid that you might pass out from the unexpected events taking place.
“Did you get all that?”
You try to think of words, but all you are able to muster is a nod.
“You didn’t hear a thing I said, did you?” Jeans asks smugly.
“I, uuhm,” you stutter.
“Cat got your tongue?” he asks, pressing your bodies closer together.
A gasp escapes your lips as you feel his hardened length press into you. You would be lying if you said you hadn’t thought of this situation before, but never did you think this would all be happening.
“Jean, what are you doing?”
“I’m just trying to teach my favorite girl about her car,” he says slowly in your ear. “Is there anything wrong with that?”
You feel yourself getting wet from the sensation of his cock pushing into your backside. Feeling the pressure in your clit from being pushed against your car is enough to make you squirm under Jean. He grasps both of your hips tightly, trying to keep your body still.
“Every movement you make is making it harder for me to concentrate,” he says through clenched teeth.
The revelation that he is turned on as much as you are gives you a boost in confidence. Taking matters into your own hands, you turn yourself around to face him. You place your hands on his toned chest, pushing his upper body back slightly.
“Then focus on me.”
Your eyes stare up into his, seeing his pupils are completely blown. The lust is apparent in his eyes, and you’re sure that he can see it in yours too. You’ve wanted Jean for so long, it’s almost hard to believe what’s happening right in front of you.
Jean whispers your name so softly that you barely catch it. “Can I kiss you?”
Your mouth opens in shock at the question. Did you hear him right? Were you imagining he said that?
“You want to kiss me?” you whisper back.
Jean brings his forehead to yours, not breaking the eye contact between you two.
“Yes,” Jean starts. “I want to kiss you, so fucking bad.”
You can barely comprehend the words coming from his mouth. Not sure how far he was willing to take this, you know you need to set boundaries with him. You weren’t going to take this all the way just to be thrown to the side after everything was done.
“I don’t want to be another one of your girls, Jean,” you say quietly. “I can handle rejection from most guys, but not you. So, if you don’t want anything else from this, then let go of me and we’ll continue to be friends.”
Your breathing is heavy after you confession. You never expected it to come out, especially like this. Jean is just as stunned by it. Why would you ever think you were one of those girls? He had never been up front about his feelings, but he never wanted to distract you from your busy life. Every girl he slept with was just a disappointing reminder that he would never get you to himself. You always talked about being too busy for a relationship, so he just assumed that put him out of the running.
Your name softly falls from his lips as he pushes your chin up with his hand. “Why would you ever think you’re one of those girls? Those girls could never compare to you.”
You feel your heart beating rapidly at his words.
“I’ve wanted to kiss you for so long,” he continues. “Every time we hang out, it takes everything in me to not just grab you and kiss you for hours on end. Those girls mean absolutely nothing to me. You are everything to me. I don’t think you’ll ever understand how badly I’ve wanted to do everything with you – hold you, kiss you, touch you, make you forget every other man in your life. I want you to be mine.”
You stand there staring into his eyes, shocked at his confession. Words are spilling out of Jean’s mouth, and you know if you don’t shut him up soon that he won’t stop. You wrap your arms around his neck, but he’s so lost in his confession that he doesn’t even notice.
“Jean,” you say, finally getting his attention on you. “Shut up.”
You pull his face down to yours, finally kissing his lips. Your stomach feels like someone has released butterflies again. This is the moment you’ve waited so long for, and you don’t plan on letting it slip away from you.
Jean deepens the kiss, swiping his tongue across your bottom lip asking for entrance. You oblige, opening your mouth. As your tongues explore each other’s mouths, he pulls your body closer to his. His cock rubs against your already sensitive clit, making you moan into the kiss. You feel his grip tighten on your hips, keeping you place as he continues to slowly grind against you. Your hands make their way into his hair, slightly pulling at the strands. He moans into the kiss, and that’s when you start to lose your composure.
Jean slightly lifts you up so you’re sitting on the edge of your car. Immediately wrapping your legs around his hips, he pulls you even closer. He grinds his cock along your entire cunt, adding more friction to your clit. The friction makes you whimper, something Jean never thought he would hear. He slides one of his hands underneath your shirt, cupping your breast. As he lightly kneads it, your moans become completely uncontrollable, your body getting lost in the pleasure.
“Jean,” you whine. “Not here.”
He removes his hand from your shirt, bringing them both under your thighs.
“Up,” he demands.
You help pull yourself up as his hands move to your ass, picking you up with ease. Your legs tighten around his waist, causing more friction between your sensitive clit and his hard length. He makes his way through your apartment, never once breaking the heated kiss between you two. As soon as he leads you through your bedroom doorway, he slams the door shut with his foot. You gasp as he tosses you onto your bed as if you weigh nothing. He looms over you, taking in the sight of your body lying below him.
He says your name quietly. “Are you sure you want to do this? ‘Cause if we do this, there’s no going back. You are mine.”
“Jean,” you respond quietly. “Please make me yours.”
Jean brings his lips down to yours, kissing you hungrily. Your hands roam his chest, feeling his muscles under your fingertips. As your hands make their way down his chest, they stop at the waist of his jeans. Your fingers find their way to the button on his jeans, unclasping them. You slowly start to shimmy them down his legs, his calves finishing the task. He breaks the kiss, and you whine at the loss of contact.
“It’s not very fair that I’m sitting here in my underwear, yet you’re still fully clothed.”
He grabs the waistband of your sweatpants and tugs on them, signaling that he wants them off. You hurriedly grab them, pulling them off easily. Jean moves himself to the edge of your bed, grabbing your wrist to pull you over to him. You get off the bed and stand in front of him. He pulls you closer to him by your waist, putting one of his legs in between yours. His hands grip your waist roughly, moving your body down to sit on his thigh.
“Show me how good you can ride my thigh.”
His hand makes its way under your shirt again, kneading your breast with his calloused palm. The feeling of his rough hands against your soft breast is already driving you crazy. He bounces his thigh causing a whimper to spill from your lips. You grab his shoulders for support as you slowly start moving yourself against him. You bring your lips to his, letting your moans fall into his mouth. He trails the kiss from your lips down to your neck. His lips search for your weak spot, earning a moan when they finally find it. You feel his cocky smile as he nibbles on it, making you moan loudly.
Feeling desperate for more, you rock your hips faster. The moans and whimpers spilling from your mouth are music to Jean’s ears. He moves his lips from your neck up to your jaw, placing soft kisses along it. His hand releases your breast, making its way up to your neck, applying light pressure to the sides. His other hand stays firmly on your hip, helping you keep your balance as you continue to grind onto him. Your hands grip tighter onto his shoulders, nail marks becoming apparent on his skin.
“Does that feel good?” he asks in a gruff voice. “You like that?”
“Yes,” you moan. “Feels so good.”
“You’re so good at riding my thigh,” he says lowly in your ear.
Your wetness is practically soaking Jean’s thigh, a sight he had dreamed about many times. Jean bounces his thigh lightly again, causing you to sharply take in a breath. The pleasure was starting to overwhelm you, and your orgasm was quickly approaching. Your rhythm starts to get sloppy, and Jean knew you were there.
“Jean,” you whimper. “I’m close.”
“Be a good girl and come for me.”
A wave of pleasure crashes over you as Jean releases your throat, grabbing your hips with both of his hands. He continues rocking your hips, helping you through your high. Once the your orgasm wears off, you lay your head on his shoulder, breathing heavily. Jean runs a hand through your hair.
“Such a good girl for me,” he says quietly in your ear. “But I’m far from being done with you.”
“Jean, I’m so sensitive. I don’t know if I can handle anymore.”
Jean grabs your face gently with his hands, pulling you off his shoulder. His rough thumb rubs lightly along your cheek.
“We’ve both waited too long for this,” he starts. “I’m going to make you cum as many times as I can until you’re screaming my name.”
Redness makes its way across your cheeks as you try to bury your face back into Jean’s shoulder. He stops you just in time, cupping your face in his hands.
“Don’t you ever hide your beautiful face from me.”
You nod your head lightly.
“That’s my girl.”
You can feel yourself getting wet again from all the praises you were receiving from him. Jean presses his lips against yours, much softer this time than the rest. You wrap your arms around his neck as he places his hands on your ass. He stands up while holding you, turning around and placing you back down on the edge of the bed. You pull back and gave him a confused look.
“I wanna show you how good I can make you feel.”
He lightly grabs the bottom edge of your tank top, pulling it up and over your head. Your breasts bounce as the fabric releases the hold on them, and you swear you see Jean drooling at the sight. His hands immediately take hold of each breast, lightly rubbing them in his palms. He leans forward and takes one of your nipples in his mouth, swirling his tongue around it. The sensation makes your head fall back, quiet moans falling from your mouth.
He lets go of your other breast, his hand working its way down to your core. It stops on your thigh, and you feel his thumb making small circles on it. You push your hips forward, trying to get him to touch where you want him most. Jean chuckles at the sight of you being so needy for him. He removes his mouth from your nipple, a small string of saliva in between.
“Look at my girl being so needy,” he says. “Tell me what you want.”
“Need your touch,” you whimper. “Please.”
Jean’s thumb makes contact with your clit, making you gasp as his thumb lightly draws circles on it. You try to quiet the moans that escape your lips, but the immense amount of pleasure is making it difficult to stay quiet. He slips your dark green lace thong to the side. One of his fingers lightly runs up your wet pussy, making you arch your back.
“So wet for me,” Jean whispers in your ear.
He continues to rub your clit as his finger runs up and down the folds of your dripping cunt, every pass making you ache for more.
“Jean, please,” you moan out.
“Anything for you, princess,” he says, slipping a finger into your wet pussy.
You whimper at the feeling, trying to keep your moans quiet still. Jean pulls his hand away from your core, making you whine at the loss of contact. You pull him down into a heated kiss as you feel him sliding your thong off you. He lays you on the bed as his hand finds your pussy again, easily slipping his finger back into you. You become a whining mess underneath Jean as he breaks the kiss. His lips make their way down to your core, kissing every inch of you along the way.
His lips make their way to your inner thigh, kissing and nibbling on the sensitive skin. He stops moving his finger, letting it rest inside you. You try to buck your hips, but his arm laid across you prevents any movement from happening. As you let out a whine in frustration, Jean brings his mouth to your clit, letting his warm breath fan over it.
He says your name gruffly. “Don’t hold back your moans. I wanna hear you scream my name.”
He places his mouth on your swollen clit as he begins to move his finger again. His tongue flicks it, causing a loud moan to fall from your lips.
“Oh my god!”
Jean smirks as his tongue continues to lick circles on your clit. Your hands reach down to his hair, pulling at his strands, earning a moan from him. The sensation of his finger and his tongue licking your clit is enough to form another knot in the pit of your stomach. Your hips try to match the movement of his finger, trying to get yourself closer to a release. Jean slips a second finger in, earning an even louder moan from you than before.
“Don’t stop Jean,” you breathe out in between moans.
You don’t know what comes over you as you push his face deeper onto you.
“If you want more, pretty, all you have to do is ask.”
“Want more, Jean,” you moan.
Jean flattens his tongue against your clit, curling his fingers inside you to hit your sweet spot. The sensation has you practically shaking underneath him. You push yourself harder onto his tongue, desperate for the friction to help you get closer to your release.
“Don’t, stop, please.”
He adds a third finger, making you lose your composure completely. The rhythm your hips created was completely lost. Pleasure takes over you as your orgasm rips through you. Jean continues his pace licking and fingering you, helping you ride out your high. Once he notices your breathing start to go back to normal, he slips his fingers out of you. You whimper at the loss of them, but he replaces the feeling when he slides his tongue up your pussy, cleaning up your mess.
“Jean,” you loudly moan. “Too sensitive, please –“
“Just cleaning up your mess,” he says with a smug grin on his face.
You feel heat immediately rush to your cheeks, your hands reaching up to try and hide it. Jean leans over you, pulling your hands down.
“Don’t make me tell you again,” he says, staring down into your eyes. “Don’t hide your face from me.”
Nodding your head obediently, you can’t help but stare into his eyes. You can see the lust in them practically begging you for more. Your hands seem to take control of themselves, moving to the waistband of his underwear. As you slowly pull them down his legs, he bends down and kisses you. The moment his underwear hit the floor, Jean spreads your legs slowly, putting himself in between them.
He stops the kiss to look down at your entrance. Grabbing his cock, he slides the tip slowly through your folds, causing a shiver to run down your spine. You whimper as he continues to edge you, driving you crazy.
“You’re sure about this?” Jean asks in a sincere tone.
“Yes, Jean,” you whine. “Please, fuck me.”
Jean brings his lips to yours again, capturing them in a passionate kiss. He lines his length up with you, and slowly pushes himself in. You both moan loudly into the kiss as he bottoms out inside of you. He breaks the kiss to look at you, waiting for your confirmation on when he can start moving. After a few seconds, you nod your head as you bring his lips back down to yours.
He starts out slow, letting his cock slide out just enough for only the tip to be left inside. It takes everything in him to not completely hammer into you, but he wanted to make this special. Your hands grab onto the sheets, gripping them tightly in your fists as he slowly thrust into you.
“Jean,” you moaned. “Faster, please.”
Jean happily picks up the pace, grunting every time he fills you. His grunts and moans get louder as he starts kissing down your neck. He finds your sweet spot, letting his teeth nibble on it. Letting go of the sheets, you wrap your arms around his back. You can’t help as your nails scratch down his back, leaving marks that he would most definitely feel later on.
Your moans get louder as you feel the knot build in your stomach again.
“Jean,” you loudly moan. “Oh, fuck!”
“Not yet,” he groans back.
His hands gripped your hips firmly as he flips you onto your back, his length not leaving your dripping pussy once. Your eyes go wide as he handles you like you weigh absolutely nothing.
“Ride me, baby.”
You do as he commands, placing your hands on his chest as you move yourself up and down on him. Jean brings one hand down to your clit, his thumb rubbing circles on it. You throw your head back moaning in pleasure as he brings his other hand up to your neck, squeezing the sides rougher than the last time. You clench your walls around him, making him moan louder than he has.
“Fuck,” Jean says loudly through breaths and moans. “You’re so fucking beautiful. Look at you taking my cock so well.”
The praise itself is almost enough to send you over the edge, but you hold yourself back. Jean lets go of your throat, bringing both of his hands to your hips. He grips you tightly as he begins to slam into you fervently, his pace much quicker than what you were doing by yourself. You put one of your hands on your clit, rubbing it vigorously as you felt your orgasm approaching fast.
“You like that, don’t you?” he asks roughly.
You try to nod your head, but the pleasure is too much.
“Jean!” you yell. “Gonna –“
“Cum for me,” Jean moans your name loudly.
Your third orgasm crashes over you as Jean continues to thrust wildly into you. You keep your hands firmly on his chest, trying to keep yourself steady as he helps you through it. Your pussy grips onto his cock like a vice as he fucks deeper into you. His brows furrow together, and you can tell he’s getting close.
“You can cum in me, Jean” you lean down and whisper into his ear.
“A-Are you sur-“
“I’m on the pill, Jean.”
“Oh fuck yes!” he moans out loudly.
Jean grips you harder as his thrusts start to lose rhythm. The praises you moan out to him are working.
“Ah, Jean! Don’t stop!” you yell out, your fourth orgasm approaching. “Feels so good!”
“C’mon baby,” Jean says loudly. “Show me how good you feel.”
Your sweet moans echo through his ears as you come undone on his cock, feeling his cum fill your cunt at the same time. You fall onto Jean’s chest, too exhausted to hold your body up any longer. He slowly takes himself out of you, the mess spilling onto the sheets below. You stay laying on his chest as he wraps his arms around your back. The sound of yours and his heavy breathing fills the room.
“That was –“
“I really like you, Jean,” you admit quietly.
Realizing you said that out loud, you nervously burrow your face into Jean’s neck. He chuckles quietly as he brings a hand up and runs it through your hair.
“I really fucking like you too,” he says. “Always have.”
You lift your head up slightly, just enough so you can see his face. He looks down at you with nothing but love and adoration on his face.
“Really?” you ask, tears brimming your eyes.
He moves a piece of hair out of your face gently.
“Of course, baby,” he says, kissing your nose. “Will you please be mine?”
You pull him into a deep kiss. Your wildest dreams are coming true right in front of you. Who knew your one day off would become the best day of your life?
“Absofuckinglutely.”

Okay, everyone's had a few days to be sad. But the world didn't end, so there is stuff to be done. Mid terms are in 2 years.
This post isn't going to tell you anything other people haven't done better or in more detail, and I'm not even American, so what the fuck are you listening to me for, but I think it might be useful to somebody as a place to start, and I think it's useful to keep in mind that none of us are helpless - no matter how much it might benefit somebody else to let you think so.
I'll add to it as and when I can.
NOW
Check your ballot. Tell everyone you know to check on their ballots. Spread the word to everyone you can possibly tell to check their ballots. The Presidential election is absolutely not going to be reversed, but local races and initiatives can be decided by twenty, a dozen, two votes. The window's closing on this by now, so check into this immediately if you haven't already. And if there is any possibility for a recount where it might achieve something, make noise for one.
You would be absolutely amazed how much harm can be spared and how much good can be done at the Parks & Rec level, no matter what's happening up top. Do not waste the chance to make friction for bad guys later on, or lay down some tools for the good guys in advance.
Then, if you have a Dem Senator, call their office and urge them to confirm all Biden's judicial nominees now, right now, ASAP. Here's a rough call script.
Btw mid terms are in two years.
NEXT
Spend the next two months -
Buying a little extra boring ass shelf stable food and water on your grocery runs, and build up as much food security as you can. You're probably not gonna need it, but it's good to have, even only as a hedge against inflation or unreliable weather/disaster relief responses.
Stock up on medication you might need if you can. Organize whatever procedures you might need done if you can, including contraceptive measures. And find a reason to need a Morning After Pill or two in the next few weeks, somebody you care about might be real glad you did.
Consider making any big ticket purchases that will be affected by proposed tariffs (electronics etc), or any... slightly less conventional things you want to buy, now - but otherwise it would be a good time to lay some money aside if you can.
Get in the habit of paying for things in cash, and limiting how much information on your habits are out there. Stash a little cash somewhere, for if you want to buy something less visibly in future, too.
Do your homework about your digital footprint. Accounts, posts, doxxable clues, data, behavioral info, browsers, wifi links, cookies, consumer history, always-on "Smart" speakers and devices, think about all of it. Your phone is telling everyone where you are at all times whether the Location stuff is on or not - get in the habit of leaving it at home, so that suddenly not having it is not, in itself, a sign of anything. Your fitness wearables are mapping your entire lifestyle - it is effectively recording where you work, what time you finish, what routes you take, what stores you go to, where your friends live, where you go for recreation, where your family lives and what your relationship is like with them (where's your fitbit at Thanksgiving, Christmas etc?). Don't use fingerprint or facial recognition for anything, ever, if you can help it - apart from cataloguing your biometrics, it is much easier for a third party, police included, to use these to access your stuff than a password. It probably goes without saying, do not digitally document your menstrual cycle in any way.
Figure out what channels you can use in future to retain access to as much as possible if someone decides you shouldn't have it, or wants to know if you look for it. VPNs are a starting point, but not the end point. Do your homework on this now, before you need to know it.
Look into securing documentation that might be of use in future, this includes property, legal stuff like Power of Attorney, passports etc. (Though that doesn't necessarily mean carrying it at all times to everything, just sayin'.)
What's your ACA status? Are you currently availing of absolutely everything you're currently entitled to? If not, work on it. Government resources are always harder to take away from you once you're getting them than to deny you outright.
If there's any gay shit you like or want preserved, it would be a good time to buy/download/back it up. This includes movies, fics, books. It would also be a good time to seek out and subscribe to independent and non-digital gay media, zines, etc, and get to know your in-person scenes. You might be surprised how much stuff still exists and happens in ways that are invisible to the internet, gay and otherwise.
Don't forget that mid terms are in 2 years.
THEN
The mid terms are in 2 years.
Mid terms are 2 years away. Which means the campaigns for them start in a year, which means the work for them starts now.
All else aside, Democrat flips elsewhere in the government structure at that point would make it way, way harder for them to keep smashing everything, and there is work that you can do towards making that happen. For better and sometimes worse, the American political system is a very big and very awkward machine, and King Dipshit and his cronies cannot wave a magic wand to get their way everywhere all the time as a result. Look into your immediate local political scene, and figure out what you can do for it.
You might be getting sick of everyone talking about "building community". What this usually means in practice is firstly, seeking out local or neighboring orgs and groups that are doing what you want done, and joining them; or else, starting them yourself.
That might sound daunting, but it's not hard to start an interest group, just very annoying early on. You'll have to do a lot more printing than you might expect. You're going to have to deal with some deeply irritating people who are, nonetheless, very good at getting good shit done, and you're going to have to learn that's a You problem to deal with.
I'm involved in a couple of local groups in my country and it is WILD how much even one person can get done purely because nobody else gives enough of a shit about boring small potatoes stuff to notice or oppose it. That can be a blessing and a curse, so make it the first one.
Apart from this stuff being generally good, it will stop you losing your fucking mind. No, you're not going to community garden your way out of this one, sure, but that community garden might stop you letting the bullshit beat you into the ground before you can do something more important down the line. And it might introduce you to the girl who knows somebody with the thing that can do the shit you need around then too; it might teach you a lot of practical and psychological stuff you'll be glad of sometime.
It might even teach you how to get much more important things done in your local political infrastructure, who is on your side, who isn't, how to get the best from either - some of the most valuable shit I've learned about my little universe was picked up in the course of volunteering for a haunted house.
I am as guilty as everyone else as looking at the outlook and saying fuck it, bad guys won, but that is legitimately irrational no matter where you live. They never win, not outside of stories, because real life doesn't end like a story does. There is stuff to be done to make life more bearable than it would be otherwise, more bearable until it's possible to make it even better. There is so much stuff to get doing, instead of just feeling bad.

Would be willing to write a part two for heels over head? it's so good and I'd like to request it if so
Don’t Take My Heart, Don’t Break My Heart
Tumblr media
Leon Kennedy X Chubby! Single-Mom! Reader
Part 1
Leon watches Finn for you, and he gets to know you a bit better
Y/N: I'm really glad you liked the first part! I was a little worried it was a little aimless but I did plan to do another part. Lowkey I need to write more older Leon. At this point I might need another part for this story
(Title from "Head over Heels" by Tears for Fears)
Leon double-checks his apartment, making sure it doesn't look like a disaster. Better yet, that a kid won't get into anything they aren't supposed to. He here's the knock at his apartment door and tenses up a bit. Taking a deep breath, he opens the door greeted by you and Finn.
"Hey!" You smile brightly and wave.
"Hi, Mr. Leon!" Finn greets him with a smile. His backpack is secure on his shoulders.
"Hey to you both," He says softly, opening his door wider for you both to enter. Finn enters before you, finding a spot on Leon's couch, you approach him.
“Okay Finn, be good for Leon please.” You kiss his forehead as he nods eagerly. You turn to Leon with a soft smile. "Thanks again for doing this for me."
"It's no problem," he brushes it off with a wave with of his hand. "We're neighbors after all." He assures you with a soft smile. You give him a smile back, really appreciating all that he was doing for you.
"I should be back by eight, and you know you don't have to feed him. I can definitely do that."
"I don't mind." Leon assures you, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder. "Finn is in safe hands." You look at him, and as his blue eyes meet yours. You believe him and trust him.
"You boys have fun." You say with a smile and a wave.
"Bye mom!" Finn says happily as he watches you leave. His legs kicking as he sits on the sofa.
"Alright buddy... you want to do anything?" Leon turns to Finn curiously.
"Mom says I have to finish homework first." He sighs thinking about it.
"Oh gotcha, if you need any help let me know." Leon adds on before leaving Finn to do his work. He tried to not worry too much about him as he did his own thing.
Leon doesn't know how he ended up on the floor on the floor with Uno cards and an eight year old but he that's where he was.
"Okay... I pick red." Leon decides after thinking for a moment. Finn can't hide his smile as he puts down his final card.
"I win!" The boy declares happily.
"Dang, you got me!" He declares feigning upset. He watches as the boy celebrates, and Leon smiles softly. As he watches the bright smile on his face, he can't help but think of Sherry. When they were traveling together after Raccoon city. A knock at the door distracts him from their game. "Wait here for a minute," he tells the boy before he stands. Groaning a bit as he does, he opens to the door to see you with a smile and slightly exhausted look.
"Mom!" Finn runs up and hugs you tightly. You hug him back squeezing him a bit. He rushes off to grab his things, leaving you and Leon in the doorway.
"How was he?" You ask softly.
"Great, he's a really good kid." Leon assures you gently. "And if you ever need help again don't hesitate, okay..?" He looks at you with a soft look in his kind blue eyes. You nod gently in return.
"Thank you..." You reply softly, feeling your cheeks getting a little warm from his gaze. Leon notices and feels his own face get warmer.
"Got everything!" Finn announces happily, his backpack secure on his shoulders. Interrupting whatever was happening between you and Leon.
"Alright, ready to go home?" You ask Finn gently to which he nods eagerly. "Thank you again, Finn say thank you."
"Thank you Mr. Leon!" He replies happily. "I had fun!" He adds on cheerfully, to which the man can't hide a smile.
"It was no problem." Leon says with a nod. You turn to leave but the man suddenly grabs your shoulder gently. You look to him, his blue eyes meeting yours. "I-I'll see you around, right?" A smile comes to your lips.
"I'd be disappointed if I didn't." You say your cheeks red and he only nods breathlessly.
"Yeah..." Is all he can manage to say as he watches you and your son return to your apartment. His cheeks warm as he shuts the door to his apartment.

omg please do anything shourtmanda for your drabbles, im currently obsessed with the pairing!! also, just asking, were you ever planning to continue beautiful oblivion? it was such a good read what you had posted so far!!
Hi!! Yes, I do plan on continuing it, but I’m having a bit of writer’s block on it. I have to go through what i have outlined and drafted and see if I can put a couple more chapters together. In the meantime, here is a tiny Shourtmanda thing:
It started the same way most things in Courtney’s life started: with a harmless joke. Harmless wasn’t totally accurate, maybe. Harm was surely done, but only in the sense that once Shayne pointed it out, it stuck to the inside of Courtney’s brain like a starfish in a tank. They’d been hanging out at lunch, checking out the new Sabrina Carpenter video together. Courtney wasn’t saying much. She tended to approach music videos like they were homework, studying technique and lighting and the like. Shayne was well aware of that, so he always kept quiet, too. Something about this particular video wouldn’t let him. She could see him fidgeting out of the corner of her eye, readjusting his sitting position so one of his legs was crossed over the other. Everyone else was still in line waiting for food. Courtney looked over to see Amanda standing a hundred feet or so away, waving at them the instant she noticed their attention.
Courtney waved back at her girlfriend(?), her head shaking at the cuteness of the gesture.
She tuned back into her and Shayne’s thing just as the dude Sabrina was kissing onscreen transformed into Jenna Ortega.
“Why do I feel like you and Amanda should recreate this?”
It wasn’t fair then that Courtney’s brain immediately transported her to a place where she and Amanda’s lips were the ones meeting so feverishly. Her hands physically tingled at the thought of holding Amanda by the jaw to keep her close.
Well.
She stared at Shayne, who was watching everything play over her face with interest. “You want to be the dead guy?”
He laughed. “I’ve already drowned in a pool once so…”
Jesus Christ.
“You’re insane.”
He shrugged and scratched his beard. It’d grown in so well. She told him how much she liked it every day. “Maybe.”
She was saved from thinking anything more impure about him by Amanda returning to the table, one leg swinging over the seat dramatically, eyes and smile both aimed right at Courtney.
Courtney’s entire body reacted. Her heart picked up speed, her stomach did a nervous dance, her lips turned up into a shy smile. She wasn’t sure what there was to be shy about. Amanda had been in her bed last night.
“What are you two over here goofing and gabbing about?” Amanda asked, settling into the spot on the other side of Courtney.
“Courtney was showing me the new Sabrina Carpenter video.” Shayne replied. He leaned over slightly so he could look at Amanda without having to do it over Courtney’s head.
“Oh, yeah, Taste? That thing’s awesome.” Amanda rested her hand on Courtney’s knee under the table.
Courtney glanced over at her, smile still on and growing less sheepish by the second. “Shayne was just saying that you and I should recreate the whole thing for bit city.”
Okay, so he hadn’t said all that. Still, the sentiment was there.
“Yeah! We should. Wait.” Amanda looked at Shayne. “Are you trying to be the dead guy?”
Courtney burst out laughing. Shayne laughed with her. Amanda just seemed confused.
“I just made that same joke.” Courtney explained. “Shayne said he’s qualified because he already drowned once.”
That made Amanda lose it. “Okay, you’re fucking insane.”
“How? It’s literally the truth.” Shayne smiled at Amanda’s amusement.
“Good God.”
The vibes settled in, and they all ate together, conversation about random shit breaking out between them every so often. Courtney couldn’t help but think about how secure she felt sandwiched between her two favorite people. Lately, she’d been thinking about the three of them as a collective. The driving force behind Smosh. The woman she was falling in love with and the best friend she was not so subtly crushing on.
That. That was where it started.

Shadow Knight, and Magic Girls IX
Chapter Nine
Ciel Soleil, student council president, teachers pet, and overall, very academically dedicated individual.
Everyday before school, she arrived two hours early with her homework complete, organized, triple-checked, with any errors in the questions pointed out and corrected, ready to be graded.
Afterwards, she'd help them get prepared before school began, helping carry out any duties she believed would help the school overall.
Such as fetching students for Ms. Goodwitch, Headmistress of the School.
Jaune followed behind her, quietly, still carrying his lunchboxes under his arm.
Secretly relieved to be away from Ruby and her friends, they seemed like good girls, but they were too intense for his mood at the moment. But, he had the sinking feeling he wasn't done with them today.
He peered covertly over his shoulder, confirming his suspicions, as he saw five shadows huddled together behind the corner, poorly hiding they're presence.
Jaune ignored them, choosing to focus on what Ms. Goodwitch might want with him. Had he done anything recently to get her attention?
Probably. Not that he could think of anything at the moment. Well, nothing to be done about it now, she'd probably state the problems he was making for her in alphabetical order.
After going up the stairs to the top floor, Ciel led him to the Headmistress office. She paused, looking behind him squinting her eyes.
"Looking at something?" Jaune asked, holding back a laugh.
Ciel scanned down the hallway, and Jaune saw the group of shadows dive clumsily into a corner, he could even make out a muffled, 'What it!' and 'Sorry!'
Though, Ciel didn't seem to have as sharp of eyesight and hearing than Jaune, she did possess good instincts, frowning, she stared directly at the mass of shadows.
He could practically feel they're tension at being caught.
Then she turned away. "Nothing, it seemed a bit noisy. Probably the vents." She didn't sound convinced by her own reasoning. "Inside, please."
Inside was a perfectly organized office, not too large, not too small, it was perfectly sized to a almost uncomfortable level.
The desk was nice, but it wasn't luxurious. It had personal items on it, but all in they're own little corner. A riding crop next to a well, polished gold trophy of a woman riding a horse, a hard-light photo that Jaune could see, a set of high-quality pens and a note pad.
The rest of the desk was dominated by work-related items, a large holographic screen, obscured on his side, but perfectly visible to Goodwitch, along with a folder on the desk that was very clearly his.
There were some shelf's in the back, more trophy's, a couple degrees in education, The Interaction between Dust and known laws of Science, and advanced mathematics. Also, along the shelves, were rows of books, a tea set, a pendulum, and a set of Dust Crystal in a very, very secure, locked case.
Behind her, oddly enough, was the symbol of Vale, 2 battle axes with a wreath. That wasn't the weird part, it was they were real, very sharp battle axes.
Ms. Goodwitch was a beautiful woman who didn't look a day over thirty, not that anyone was brave enough to ask her actual age, and regularly agreed upon by the student body to be the most attractive member of faculty aside from Prof. Peach.
She sat at a nice, comfy chair lined with purple velvet. She pushed up her glasses, then gestured to a seat across from her. "Take a seat Mr. Arc."
Jaune obliged, with Ciel still standing.
"You may leave, Ms. Soliel."
"Yes, Ms. Goodwitch." She turned and went to the door, tried to open it. She looked puzzled by this. "Ms. Goodwitch, I believe the door to be jammed."
The Headmistress rose a pale eyebrow, "Is that so?"
"Yes, it feels like they're a very heavy weight leaning against it in fact." She stated matter of fact.
Jaune thought he heard a muffled sound of agitation that was quickly shushed.
Headmistress Goodwitch gave a faint smile, turning to Jaune. "You don't mind if she stays a minute does she? This won't take long."
Jaune shrugged. "I guess, not."
"Good." She nodded. "Allow me to cut to the chase, Mr. Arc." She took a breath. "You are on the verge of failing out of school."
Jaune felt his heart go a little cold. He knew he wasn't doing good in class, but he hadn't realized he was doing that bad.
She opened up his folder. "According to your current grades, you are failing in 4 of 6 of your classes, behind in work of the 2 you are not failing, been late more than 3 times to all of your classes, and missed over 12 days of school this semester. Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
"No. Not really," Jaune thought for a second, how he wanted to phrase his argument. "I just have had things I feel are more important than school for a while."
She did not look happy with that answer. "Mr. Arc, what could be more important than securing you future?" She asked firmly, her eyes hard and piercing.
'Stay alive, mostly, and killing monster, every night.' Jaune didn't think that answer would fly, unless he wanted a one-way trip to a mad-house.
He opened his mouth, then thought for a moment.
"Well, Mr. Arc?" She asked coldly.
Jaune fought the urge to snap at her, hating that she was putting pressure on him.
"Is there a time-limit, to the question?" Jaune asked.
The headmistress frowned. "No, but there is no reason to wait on a simple question."
"I wouldn't consider my future, a easy question."
Her eyes opened a fraction wider. "No, it's not."
"Then give me a moment,"
"I will allow you a minute, then I'd like a answer."
Jaune thought on it a moment, cobbling together his best answer. "I've been doing community service, and working on my part-time job."
"Really?" The Headmistress asked, not really believing him. "I didn't realize you had a job, you really should have informed the school," She paused. "What is your job?"
"Um, self-employed until recently," She looked suspect at that. "Repairs mostly, but, I got hired ... as a member of the Xiong Organization, yesterday."
The room went silent, as that seemed to take Headmistress Goodwitch aback. "You what?"
"I have been in contact with them over the last year," That was technically true, if you consider a pipe to the face contact. "Doing odd jobs for them." Also, true if you consider relieving them of they're consciousness a service rendered. "They can confirm my community service too,"
"Mr. Arc," She added with a note of worry. "You aren't in trouble are you?"
'Only every single night of the last year,' Jaune thought to himself. 'Bit late, to ask that.' His stitched itched, and he felt more tired than ever, eye's drooping.
"No? Why do you ask, I'm just working with my Uncle."
Ms. Goodwitch let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, you had me worried for a moment. The Xiong Organization has a bit of a reputation for using young men like yourself. Who is your uncle, if I may ask?"
"Uncle Xiong."
She looked confused. "Not an Arc? I had met your parents before, neither of them looked as they were from Mistral."
"They not," Jaune realized he might have slipped up. "It's a honorary uncle-nephew thing."
Ms. Goodwitch looked suspect at that. "I see, how long has he been in your life?"
He'd either have to lie, or stretch the truth, what was he going to do? "Is that any of your business?" Jaune respond, something no answer was the best answer. "He's my uncle, simple as."
"I see." She looked unhappy with the answer, but didn't pry further. "Do you have a contact for them that I can see? I'd like to verify your story."
Jaune nodded, sending her a contact from his scroll.
"I'll be checking it later," She sighed. "Mr. Arc, I must say I'm surprised, but somewhat happy, I'm glad you haven't been spending your time aimlessly, but actually making a foundation for your future outside of school."
She was ... complimenting him? That was strange.
"I try my best."
"Yes, outside of school that is," She sighed. "We've strayed far enough from the main topic, let us return." She pushed up her glasses again. "You are on the verge of being kicked out of Beacon, due to aforementioned reasons. So, now I ask what are we going to do about it?"
If it had been any day before yesterday, Jaune would have just asked to let him fail. He could get his GED in his free-time, sure his family would be disappointed, but he didn't need school to do what he wanted to do.
Now, though? Well, he had expectations that insisted he reconsider.
"I'll work on doing better." Jaune stated.
Ms. Goodwitch grimaced. "Yes, that's well and good, but you are far behind on your work, and failing most of your classes. Just saying you'll do better isn't enough, you're going to need help recovering, and I'm asking, how can we help you?"
Jaune frowned, he really didn't have an answer for that. It was one thing to say, it was another to do. He had slept through so many classes at this point he'd need a tutor, or five, to ever catch up.
Ms. Goodwitch searched his face, then looked at the door.
"Ms. Soleil, would you mind trying the door again?"
"Yes, Ma'am." She opened the door, opening without resistance this time.
As five young ladies fell into the office.
Jaune, Ciel, and Goodwitch stared at them as they lay on the floor.
Yang got up first. "Oh, this isn't the cafeteria? How'd we end up here?"
Blake nodded, rising. "Yes, I think we got lost."
"We should get going," Pyrrha offered.
"That sounds like a great idea," Weiss agreed.
"Please don't kick out Jaune, Ms. Goodwitch! I know he's tall, and scary-looking, but he's nice!" Ruby pleaded with Goodwitch.
"Well, that's what we're trying to prevent, Ms. Rose." She rested her head on a palm, looking on with veiled amusement. "Thankfully, it seems that there are some incredibly smart young ladies are here to help. If they would be so willing?"
Yang, Blake, and Ruby all scooted back, while Pyrrha scooted forward with Weiss, standing next to Ciel.
"We'd be glad, too." Pyrrha smiled.
Ciel nodded. "Yes, Ms. Goodwitch."
"As long as he doesn't get the wrong idea," Weiss huffed.
"Good, I'll allow you three to sort out out the details, you are dismissed." She waved them off. "Oh, and remember, Mr. Arc, no more being tardy, or missing school without a note."
Jaune felt a light-bulb go off, fishing out his doctors note. "Here."
She read over it, then looked at Jaune. "Well, while it does excuse one absence, how are you standing, right now?"
"Pain-killers." Jaune lied.
"Try not to get hook on them." Headmistress Goodwitch said offhandedly, still looking over the note, unsure how real it was. "Handle him carefully, ladies." She waved them off, as Jaune was dragged out of the office.
'How are they so strong?' Jaune wondered, being lifted into the air, feeling slightly embarrassed that this has happened twice in one day.
As soon as the door closed, Glynda made a call on her holographic screen. She was going to figure out how real this Doc. Autumn was.
The call took several rings, then a tired looking woman picked up.
"My apologies, this isn't a bad time is it?"
The young woman blinked, and then shook her head. "No, it's fine. May I, ask what you calling me about?"
"Well, I received a note from you office, about one Jaune Arc-"
"He's not bleeding again, right?!" She asked wild eyed.
"N-no," Glynda stuttered. "Not to my knowledge."
"Did the stitches break?"
"Stitches?"
"Oh goodness, do we need to fetch him back? I knew we should have kept him another couple days."
Glynda felt a shock go through, what had happened to her student? The Magic Girls were one thing, but Mr. Arc was entirely normal, what had he gotten up too?
"Would you mind me asking what happened?"
Amber looked into the screen, pausing. "Wild dog attack."
"What?"
"Yeah ... He got attacked by a pack of feral dogs ... they dragged him down the street over some broken glass. It was terrible." Amber lied, as no way this woman would believe her.
"Dear Brothers, does his parents know?"
"... Sure." Amber honestly didn't know Jaune had parents, she didn't want to assume anything about him. He might just be a genocidal time-traveling demi-god cyborg for all she knew at this point, but that might just be her tired-brain making things up.
Glynda caught the slip though. "His parents, do know?"
" ... Sure. " Amber.
"That's not very reassuring, Ms. Autumn."
"Dr. Autumn." She wasn't actually legally registered as a doctor, but she liked the title anyway. "Don't worry, his Uncle knows."
"Mr. Xiong?"
"Yeah. Anyway, I need to, - uh, do stuff." Then she ended the call.
Glynda stared at Jaune's file. "Well, maybe he can have a couple more sick days."
---
"Jaune!" A orange blur tackled into his stomach, and the blonde felt his eyes roll back into his skull.
'Why? Why is it always when I'm injured?' Jaune wondered, as he definitely tasted blood in his mouth.
He felt the short-stacks grip on him, as she shook him like a dog with toy.
'This is how I die, not fighting criminals, or shadow-monster, but Nora.' Jaune mused. 'I knew it was going to end like this.'
He patted her head. "Good to see you, Nora." Jaune said, managing to hide the blood behind a smile. "Ren, help me?"
The effeminate boy nodded, and pried Nora off of him. "Feeling better?" Ren asked.
Jaune nodded. "Yeah. Just had a long night."
Ren gave him a once-over. "Hmm, alright then."
Nora popped up between them. "Wait a second ... You're not asleep!" Nora exclaimed!
Jaune thought about this, and realized, she was correct. "Oh, I've been banned from bad behavior for the foreseeable future."
"You're going to stay awake! Who's hair am I going to play with now?"
Jaune looked at Ren, who looked back at Jaune, they were pointing at each other.
"Heyoh! Make room!" Yang bellowed, making her way with the others over to they're table.
Jaune raised a eyebrow, why were the coming over here?
Ren noticed, patting him on the back. "We couldn't get rid of them, sorry."
"Apology accepted."
Lunch continued on, and just as they were about to separate, Ruby tugged on Jaune's sleeve.
"I need a favor, Bestie."
"Ok." Jaune said tiredly, the lack of sleep was getting to him.
"I need you to take me to the bookstore."
Jaune nodded, trying to figure out if he could sleep with his eyes open. "Alright, sure."
"Yay! No more blackmail!"
"What was that?" Jaune asked.
"Nothing, just be ready to walk me around town!"
Huh, that didn't sound bad, when was the last time he had actually hung out with anyone. It would have to been ...
The night he had his first encounter with a Shadow-Monster.
Well, not like this could go half-as bad as that, right?

Sorry for all the Tulpa-discourse lately, this is more of a Buddhist ramble / discussion than syscourse but ya know
It's been on my mind a lot between it being in syscourse circles heavily and the fact that I'm actually currently on a system-designated theraputic homework assignment to reconnect with Buddhist concepts and to incorporate it into my self care routine so I can get back to my baseline after doing something of a survival mode to help balance out XIV being in borderline-crisis lately resulting in my burn out
I'm (as Riku as a part) actually usually very hesitant to talk about much of my cultural and personal experiences and AAPI-rooted parts of my life because of old system dynamics, persecution, and a lot of other things that make me very anxious and prone to fawning when me existing in a space I am involved in is at all challenged which is largely why I leave it to XIV to voice it for me since he also is the guy that keeps me from falling into old dynamics. (<- literally is the person who thought I was *checks notes* faking being asian like that is a possible thing let alone something I thought LONGER than me faking DID)
So honestly, its kind of a bit cathartic occasionally to actually have a sense of self and security enough to have the balls to actually defend myself in terms of this sort of crap and assert that I actually, ya know, have an experience in life. So as much as I typically hate the negativity and contention that bringing this stuff up brings, it's honestly theraputic and part of me expressing a valid part of my existence and self - so with XIV's nudging I tend to let myself have that space.
With all that said, I wanted to bring up a discussion point and correction point now that I'm not genuinely and authentically triggered about racism, I think a thing I do want to comment on in regards to the rhetoric on the tulpa topic that anti-tulpa-term people get wrong when talking about Buddhism and """""""tulpamancy""""""" is that Buddhism is not a closed culture or closed practice and stating that does a disservice to the group as well; albeit its the lesser of two wrongs by a LONG shot so I shirk it off as a "to get to later" point
But Buddhism is incredibly open to anyone interested on engaging with it and its part of why - when I specifically talk about the critiques of """"""Western Tulpamancy"""""" in terms of Buddhism I try to remind myself to desalinate between "westerner" and "white". There are many many many white Buddhists - as there are many black, latin, native, Middle eastern, etc Buddhists as well.
In some cases and for some people, Buddhism is a religion and/or spirituality, for others it's more of a way of life / philosophy. Tibetan Buddhism, as I know it as a non-Tibetian Buddhist, is a lot more on the religion side of things which is a different topic I honestly am under knowledgeable to comment on - but overall the thing that ties a lot of Buddhism together is the core and underlying principles of acceptance, letting things go, connecting to the greater world, and just general enlightenment as a means of finding peace.
Myself, and a lot of Buddhists, gladly encourage people to look into Buddhists practices and principles and ideology because its honestly extremely healing and regardless of if you are SUPER into it and go become a monk or what not or if you just dabble in it, so long as you do it respectfully and understand your biases and genuinely have GOOD RESPECTFUL intent and an interest on understanding it more, its an amazing and really welcoming thing to get involved in.
The thing all the 'pro-tulpas' quote on the Dalai Lama is honestly entirely true. Almost everyone could benefit from the practices and principles found within Buddhism.
That is to say however, that there is a large difference between spending a day or two at a monastery and learning more about the culture and the ideas of Buddhism and integrating them into your life and just grabbing this Really Cool and Quirky High Level Principle / Ritual / Practice of a Specific Typically Very Dedicated Version of Buddhism and ignoring EVERYTHING ELSE about Buddhism and saying "this aspect, this aspect I like and I'm going to completely warp it how I like it while calling it and/or referencing it in terms of Buddhism to make it look intellectual and enlightened for me to be involved in it."
I've seen it said in some Buddhist communities and discussions regarding the more ritual and involved aspects of Buddhism - specifically in regards to the Mahayana approaches - that a lot of the practices and rituals when used inappropriately or unguided can be "dangerous" with danger in this sense being a worsening of the individuals conditions resulting in an increase in a lot of the core things almost all versions of Buddhism considers unhealthy and unideal such as increase in conflict, desire, and disconnect from the greater world and thus generally more suffering.
And on that front, while not being of the Mahayana school of thought and as a result not really believing so much in bodhisattvas, I can - from my personal view and perspective - entirely understand how frustrating it is to see a term often sighed with "buddhists roots" be used in a way that - in my opinion - almost exemplifies the exact opposite of what I understand to be the crux of the idea of Buddhist peace.
A large part of me getting more involved into the concepts Buddhism has to offer and honestly a thing that had both helped my healing journey and how I interact with my system is the large realization that the existence of "I" doesn't really have much ground to it in what it is and what it means and what defines "I".
That identity and human nature is largely a mobile and constant changing force part of a larger and grander thing that is just really existence as a whole and there is little that makes me more unique than say the trees or the squirrel looking for nut or a bird singing in the tree other than the fact that I have the "curse" of conscious awareness and 'advanced intellect' that makes it so that I both feel the need to >Be< something and the bother of "the next thing". A large part of practice is letting go of a lot of notions that a lot of society and life reinforce - one of the most in my current stage of learning and practice - is letting go of the concept of "me and I" and just, ya know, being.
And to me, looking at the """""Western Tulpamancy Community""""" you have people who are sectoring off a part of themselves, their experience, their life whatever and not only identifying it as seperate from them (NO!!!! We are all connected >:[ <- light hearted comment) but also giving that part of themselves an entire identity of it's own and a whole second sense of "I" beyond what was already there - combined with the overall themes of 'developing your tulpa' by giving it more traits and details and stuff until it 'becomes independent' is rooted in such American / Western individualism which DO not even get me started on how toxic individualism is and how inherently opposite it is to Buddhism and
//deep breath//
I'm getting ahead of myself, the truth is while the concept of 'creating a headmate' or whatever greatly concerns me as a Buddhist - as a human and as a Buddhist (in a different perspective), seeking out to change people is the last thing I'm interested in and it's honestly not this uber horrible or harmful thing and its really not my business; so as long as it is making someone happy and what not, I really don't care if it doesn't match to my theory cause ya know, theory is that - just theory. Live and let be ya know - yall have your own life to live and yall know how to live your own life better than I could assume to know so I'm not gonna try to tell you how to live it. Philosophical theory comes second to philosophical practice and practice says to live and let be.
But its just really frustrating a lot of the time to see how the topic is handled when its far from really what it is. And in theory, I should let it go because honestly, people using the word "tulpa" to describe experiences that are largely anti-thetical to my understanding of Buddhism - while annoying - is not the end of the world and fostering hate and aggression does nothing but increase the overall suffering (dukkha) in the world. Often, when I think about talking about it or getting mad, I do tend to repeat that mantra back to myself and most of the time I refrain and leave it be.
That being said, XIV runs on the philosophy and critique of the over theroretical approach to Buddhism over the realistic and practical in saying that by "letting go of" certain frustrations and annoyances and grievances - while healthier for the individual person - enables and perpetuates long term suffering for the masses and years to come. So that while it would be best for me / us to let it go and exist in a state closer to Buddhist peace and doing so is an entirely valid decision (thus why I respect Buddhists who say using the tulpa-term is fine), I would also be choosing to maintain my peace over acknowledging and speaking up about the honestly long and ongoing racism and disrespect that plague those that I feel particular kinship with and in XIV's perspective (one that I am starting to take on a bit more lately) - the choice of personal peace is a selfish one that is complicit in increasing the suffering of the world as a whole in favor for the individual "I" that honestly has become a bit distasteful for our system.
But anyways, I digress. Buddhist ramble done.

LORE
My mother used to say ‘No dove comes from raven eggs.’ She showed me how precious these birds were actually, using the birds to send messages, vocal or written. When my parents went away on business, I would play with the ravens and learn how intricately intelligent they were. Some even learned how to attack on command. A simple three whistled note usually suffices, because any more appears to overload them. Not many people know, but ravens can be musically too. More so, melancholy than merriment. Nonetheless, I admire every aspect of the dark creature.
It’s the last thing I have from my life before – a golden oval locket with an outlined raven etched on the top. I can’t even claim that I had a life in district thirteen, because if I did, I’d be executed. I remember my friends and running through the empty tunnels in restriction. Being late for curfew was my only trouble. I assume that’s what freedom feels like. I was completely wrong. Freedom looks like dressed up slavery slapped with clever words to keep us in line and maintain order.
I was nine when my parents were stripped from me and Min Nan took me in, who is my great-grandmother. I’ve only met her once and now she has to be my caregiver…I wonder who she truly is and who she is exactly related to. My parents never talked about her, yet she's full of stories of my folk.
Officials say my parent’s death was a terrible accident that happened and wouldn’t give any extra information. Nan says that they were on an undercover mission in the Capitol and it went south, ending up getting caught and executed as an example of what happens when you side with rebels. No way out and no chance of rescue, that was their fate.
Nan swore to keep me away from the trade, and damn has she told me plenty. Something about my mother beating her hand in poker and begging her to look after me if they didn’t come back. And they didn’t come back. It took me longer to warm up to the notion that they weren’t unnecessary deaths; they were needed. Their deaths changed me, mentally and spiritually.
Physically, I was persistent about getting trained, getting vengeance for Snow’s cruelty. That was an option not taken from me, so I took it for myself. It’s ultimately her undoing for telling me enough to paint the picture, being so candid with me that I’m actually grateful. Slowly but surely, chipping away the promise, Nan reluctantly agreed.
The beginning was rough, to say the least. The long, tiring hours of training my muscles just to be okay in the biting cold and flaring heat in ever-changing weather of Panem grows demanding. Even throwing dagger after dagger becomes exhausting. Nan says ‘muscle memory helps in fights, so keep throwing.’ And, I do. I work hard, keep my head low and do what I have to do.
At sixteen, I partnered for my first mission. Granted, the mission was only to reconnect a few wires at an abandoned building for reconnaissance and my job was just to stay watch. It was so exhilarating that just a taste of field work wasn’t enough. I needed more.
By nineteen, I accompanied multiple missions from gathering information to setting up hidden equipment. Even spent a day in the cooldown room after my first kill. The trauma doesn’t escalate to my parent’s death, but it's all the same: unrelenting torment that they aren’t coming back. The last mission was only to trade information. They didn’t tell us about the Peacekeepers being nearby and I had barely any time to choose between staying put or infiltrating the Capitol. I chose the latter as the Peacekeepers take me in cautiously as a grunt worker, cleaning up trash after the grand parties held on the streets or picking up people from parties who didn’t drink the clear liquid. I know Nan will understand.
Now, I go by Mirabel Fife – actually Mira. I worked through the ranks and now I work as a security guard for the Snow family. Go figure. I keep tabs of the ongoing and transgressions occurring behind gold gilded doors. Every now and again, I find myself staring at the horizon, wondering if the ravens and Nan are missing me just as much as I am missing them.

In India, cricket is a love that binds millions of people together, not just a sport. The thrill of watching a match can be heightened by the excitement of online betting. With so many outlets at your fingertips, betting on cricket has grown in popularity among many people. This guide aims to help beginners navigate the world of online cricket betting in India, outlining everything you need to know to get started responsibly.
Understanding the Fundamentals of Indian Online Cricket Betting
Legality and Regulations
The legal landscape for online betting in India can be unclear. Online betting frequently operates in murky waters, even if state laws governing gaming differ. Many popular betting sites are licensed overseas, which invites both opportunities and risks. A 2023 report indicated that the online betting market in India is worth over $1 billion, reflecting a growing interest. However, players must engage in responsible gambling practices to avoid any legal trouble.
Types of Bets
Understanding the types of bets is crucial for beginners. Here are some common bet types:
Match Winner: Bet on which team will win the match.
Top Batsman: Wager on which player will score the most runs.
Total Runs: Bet on the total number of runs scored in a match.
Every kind of wager provides a unique way to participate in the game.
Odds and Probabilities
Odds indicate the likelihood of an event occurring. They also determine how much you can win. For example, if you place a bet with odds of 2.0 on a match winner and wager ₹100, your potential winnings would be ₹200 if your team wins. Making wise wagering choices requires an understanding of how odds are interpreted.
Choosing a Reputable Online Cricket Betting Site
Licensing and Security
Choosing a licensed and secure betting platform is crucial. Seek out websites overseen by reputable organizations like the Malta Gaming Authority or the UK Gambling Commission.. These licenses ensure that the platform adheres to strict standards for fair play and security.
Payment Methods
In India, you have various payment options:
UPI: A popular method for instant transactions.
Debit/Credit Cards: Widely accepted across platforms.
E-wallets: Options like Paytm and Neteller are commonly used.
Always check which payment method suits you best to ensure smooth deposits and withdrawals.
Customer Support
Reliable customer support can make your betting experience stress-free. Look for sites that offer 24/7 support via live chat, email, or phone. Reading user reviews can also help identify platforms with strong customer service.
Placing Your First Bet: A Step-by-Step Guide
Registration and Account Creation
Choose a Platform: Pick a reputable betting site.
Sign Up: Click on “Register” and fill in your details.
Verification: Verify your email or phone number.
Making a Deposit
After creating your account, you need to deposit funds. For example, on a site like Betway:

Confirm the transaction.
Selecting and Placing a Bet
Find the cricket section on the betting site.
Choose the match you want to bet on.
Select the type of bet you wish to place.
Enter your wager amount and confirm your bet.
Strategies for Successful Cricket Betting
Understanding Cricket
Knowing the rules and nuances of cricket can give you an edge. Familiarize yourself with different formats like Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and T20s.
Research and Analysis
Do your homework. Check player statistics, team form, and match conditions. Useful data points include:
Past performances.
Pitch reports.
Weather conditions.
This information can significantly influence your betting decisions.
Money Management
Setting a budget for betting is crucial. Consider these tips:
Decide beforehand how much you can afford to lose.
Avoid chasing losses. Stick to your budget.
Keep track of your bets to see what's working.
Responsible Gambling and Avoiding Pitfalls
Setting Limits
Establish clear betting limits for each session to help manage your finances. This could mean setting daily, weekly, or monthly caps on your spending.
Recognizing Gambling Addiction

Poor customer reviews.

License and Insurance: Confirm that the moving company is licensed and insured. This protects you in case of accidents or damages.
Membership in Industry Associations: Membership in organizations like the Canadian Association of Movers (CAM) is a good sign of credibility and adherence to industry standards.
Request Detailed Estimates
Pricing is an important factor, but transparency is even more crucial. Follow these steps:
Get Multiple Quotes: Obtain estimates from at least three companies to compare services and pricing.
In-Home Assessments: Opt for companies that offer in-home assessments rather than providing a quote over the phone. This ensures a more accurate estimate.
Ask About Additional Fees: Clarify if there are extra charges for stairs, heavy items, or long distances.
Understand the Services Offered
Different moving companies offer various levels of service. Some points to consider:
Basic Moving Services: Loading, transport, and unloading.
Packing and Unpacking: Does the company provide packing materials or assist with packing?
Storage Options: If you need temporary storage, check if the company offers secure facilities.
Specialized Services: If you have valuable or fragile items, like pianos or antiques, ensure the company has experience handling them.
Check for Red Flags
Watch out for warning signs that indicate a moving company may not be trustworthy:
No Physical Address: Reputable companies should have a local address and office.
Demand for Large Deposits: Be wary of companies requiring significant upfront payments.
Unmarked Vehicles: Professional movers typically have branded trucks.
Vague Contracts: Ensure all terms and conditions are clearly outlined in a written contract.
Assess Customer Service
Communication is key during a move. Evaluate the company’s responsiveness:
Prompt Replies: Are they quick to answer questions and provide information?
Professionalism: Is the staff courteous and knowledgeable?
Flexibility: Can they accommodate your preferred moving date and specific needs?
Review the Contract Thoroughly
Before signing on the dotted line:
Verify All Details: Ensure the contract includes the agreed-upon services, estimated costs, and moving dates.
Understand Liability Coverage: Ask about the company’s policy on lost or damaged items.
Keep a Copy: Retain a signed copy of the contract for your records.
Conclusion
Choosing the best moving company in Toronto doesn’t have to be daunting. By conducting thorough research, verifying credentials, and understanding your needs, you can find a reliable mover to make your transition seamless. Remember, investing time in selecting the right moving company can save you money, stress, and unexpected complications.

How to Get a Better Seat on Any Flight - Even at the Last Minute!
Hey there, fellow frequent flyer!
Ever boarded a plane and wished you could magically teleport to one of those comfy seats with extra legroom or maybe even into first class? Well, while magic might not be on the menu, there are definitely some clever hacks to get you closer to that dream seat. Let's dive into the art of seat selection and upgrades.
1. Do Your Homework
Before you even pack your suitcase, do some research. Websites like SeatGuru or airline seat maps can show you which seats offer more legroom, which have limited recline, or which might be near noisy areas like the galley or lavatory. Knowledge is power, and in this case, it could mean the difference between a cramped journey and a comfortable one.
2. Check-In Like a Pro
Forget the old 24-hour rule. Many airlines now allow check-in earlier, sometimes up to 30 hours before departure. The moment check-in opens, be on your device, ready to secure your seat. Early birds not only get the worms but also the best seats.
3. The Mile High Negotiator
Here's where you can channel your inner diplomat. At the check-in counter or gate, if you see a better seat available, ask nicely. Sometimes, just a polite request can work wonders. Mention any special occasions or loyalty status if you have it; it might just tip the scales in your favor.
4. Loyalty Pays
If you didn't get to be a pro last time, here's your cue. Sign up for airline loyalty programs. Frequent flyers often get priority when it comes to seat selection. Even if you're not flying often, those points can eventually upgrade you when you least expect it.
5. The Art of the Upgrade Bid
Some airlines offer the chance to bid for an upgrade. This isn't a guarantee, but if you're willing to pay a little extra, it's a chance to score a premium seat. Research what others have bid successfully and place your bid strategically.
6. Special Requests Can Work
If you're willing to wait until the last minute, sometimes airlines will move passengers with special requests (like families needing to sit together) to accommodate them. This can free up desirable seats. But this is more of a gamble, so only go for it if you're flexible.
7. Dress for the Seat You Want
There's an old trick where dressing well might get you noticed for an upgrade. It's not foolproof, but looking sharp can't hurt, especially if there's a last-minute need for a passenger in a higher class.
8. The Power of Polite Inquiry
Sometimes, asking at the gate if any upgrades are available due to no-shows or overbooking can snag you a better seat. Crews often appreciate a courteous passenger, and if there's room, you might just luck out.
9. Last Minute Hero
If all else fails, board the plane last. This isn't always comfortable, but if seats are still available, especially in business or first class due to no-shows, you might be the lucky one asked to move up to fill the space.
10. Credit Cards and Partnerships
Some credit cards offer perks like priority boarding or upgrades. Also, airlines partner with credit card companies for special deals. If you're a frequent flyer, consider these cards as an investment in your comfort.
A Little Humor Goes A Long Way
Don't forget, a smile and a light-hearted attitude can make you memorable. If you make the gate agent or flight attendant laugh, they might just go out of their way to help you out. Plus, who doesn't want a fun passenger on their flight?
So there you have it, my friend. With these tips, you're now equipped to play the game of seat selection like a pro. Remember, while these methods can increase your chances, there are no guarantees in the skies. But hey, isn't the adventure of trying part of the fun? Safe travels, and may the seat be with you!

The Best Car Deals: How to Find Your Perfect Ride at the Right Price
In today's fast-paced world, finding the best car deals can feel overwhelming. With countless options available, it’s crucial to know how to navigate the market effectively. Whether you're looking for a new or used vehicle, this guide will help you identify the best deals, saving you time and money.
1. Do Your Research
Before stepping foot into a dealership, it’s essential to do your homework. Start by determining the type of vehicle you need—consider factors like size, fuel efficiency, and features. Websites like Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds, and Autotrader can provide valuable insights into pricing, vehicle history, and consumer reviews.
Key Tips:
Compare Prices: Look at different dealerships and online marketplaces.
Check for Incentives: Manufacturers often offer cash rebates or financing deals that can significantly lower your overall cost.
2. Timing is Everything
When it comes to snagging the best car deals, timing can play a pivotal role. Dealerships often have sales quotas to meet, which can create opportunities for savvy buyers.
Best Times to Buy:
End of the Month/Quarter: Salespeople are more motivated to meet their targets.
Holiday Sales Events: Look out for promotions during major holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Black Friday.
End of the Model Year: Dealers may discount outgoing models to make room for the new inventory.
3. Consider Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Vehicles
If you’re open to buying used, Certified Pre-Owned vehicles can offer a fantastic balance of quality and savings. CPO cars typically come with warranties, thorough inspections, and have been well-maintained, making them a smart choice for budget-conscious buyers.
Benefits of CPO:
Lower Price Point: CPO vehicles are generally more affordable than new cars.
Added Assurance: Most come with manufacturer warranties, providing peace of mind.
4. Negotiate with Confidence
Negotiation can be daunting, but it’s a crucial step in securing the best car deal. Arm yourself with information from your research to back up your offers.
Tips for Negotiation:
Start Low: Begin with a price that is lower than your maximum budget.
Be Prepared to Walk Away: If the deal doesn’t meet your needs, be willing to leave. This can sometimes prompt the dealer to offer you a better price.
5. Explore Financing Options
Understanding your financing options can save you money in the long run. While dealerships often provide financing, it's worth exploring banks and credit unions for potentially better rates.
Financing Tips:
Know Your Credit Score: A higher credit score can qualify you for better rates.
Get Pre-Approved: Securing a pre-approval can give you a clear idea of your budget and strengthen your negotiating position.
6. Keep an Eye on Hidden Costs
When calculating the total cost of a vehicle, don’t forget to consider additional expenses such as taxes, registration fees, and insurance. These costs can add up and should be factored into your budget.
Common Hidden Costs:
Sales Tax: This varies by location but can be a significant expense.
Dealer Fees: Some dealers charge documentation or delivery fees.
Conclusion
Finding the best car deals requires a mix of research, timing, negotiation, and awareness of your financial options. By following these steps, you can make informed decisions and find a vehicle that suits both your needs and your budget. Remember, patience is key—take your time to find the right deal and you’ll drive away satisfied with your purchase!

Stay flexible, keep an open mind, and you’ll soon find yourself on the path to homeownership in this vibrant city.
Here are a few tips to kick off your home search:
Expand Your Search Options:
Don’t rely solely on major real estate platforms when hunting for property in Ainslie. Explore listings from smaller real estate agent Ainslie and attend open houses in areas you may not have initially considered.
Utilise ACT Programs:
The Suburban Land Agency’s Affordable Home Purchase Scheme offers eligible buyers a chance to buy property in Canberra at discounted rates.
Consider Different Property Types:
Apartments, townhouses, and duplexes can offer more affordable alternatives to standalone houses, especially in high-demand areas.
Evaluate Your Commute:
While a longer commute may not be ideal, it could open up more affordable housing options. Check for accessible public transport to ease your daily commute.
Stay Open to Different Opportunities:
Look at Fixer-Uppers:
Don’t overlook homes that need some renovation. These properties are often more affordable, but make sure to account for the costs of any repairs or upgrades before making a decision.
Start Small:
Opting for a smaller home can be a wise choice for first-time buyers. It offers an affordable entry point into the market, with the flexibility to move to a larger property in the future!
Get Expert Guidance:
Mortgage Broker:
An experienced mortgage broker can help you assess your borrowing capacity and match you with the most suitable loan options for your budget and financial goals.
Buyer's Agent:
A buyer's agent can be a valuable asset in a competitive market. They can help you navigate the buying process, handle negotiations, and secure the best possible deal on your new home.
Keep These Considerations in Mind:
Stay Practical:
Define a budget and stick to it. Don’t let emotions or spontaneous decisions push you beyond your financial limits.
Conduct Thorough Research:
Stay updated on market trends and be prepared to act swiftly when the right property comes along. Doing your homework will enable you to make a well-informed offer.
While finding an affordable home in Canberra may take some work, a methodical approach can help you find a place you adore without exceeding your budget. Best of luck with your house hunting!

How to Ace Your PGDM Interviews: Tips from Industry Experts
Tumblr media
Cracking a PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) interview can be a daunting task, but with the right preparation, you can make a lasting impression and secure your spot at your dream business school. Here are some expert tips on how to ace your PGDM interview and stand out from the competition.
1. Research the School Thoroughly
Before your interview, make sure you know everything about the institution you’re applying to. This not only shows your genuine interest but also helps tailor your answers to align with the school’s values and programs. For instance, if you're applying to Calcutta Business School, learn about their specialized courses, faculty expertise, and unique offerings. It’s essential to highlight why you’re a good fit for their PGDM program.
2. Prepare for Common Interview Questions
Business school interviews often revolve around standard questions like:
"Why do you want to pursue a PGDM?"
"What are your short-term and long-term career goals?"
"How will this PGDM program help you achieve your aspirations?"
Have well-thought-out answers for these questions. Be specific and avoid generic responses. Showcase how your past experiences, academic background, and goals align with the business school’s offerings.
3. Know Your Resume Inside Out
Interviewers will most likely delve into your resume, so be ready to discuss any points in detail. Whether it’s a past job role, an academic project, or a leadership position, explain how these experiences have shaped your career choices and prepared you for the challenges of a PGDM program. Be honest about any gaps or transitions, and use them to highlight your growth
4. Highlight Your Leadership and Teamwork Skills
Business schools look for candidates who can work well in teams and have leadership potential. Share specific examples from your academic, professional, or personal life where you’ve demonstrated these qualities. Whether it was leading a project, resolving a conflict, or working in a diverse group, provide concrete examples that showcase your ability to contribute positively in a team environment.
5. Ask Insightful Questions
Interviews are a two-way street. Asking well-thought-out questions shows your genuine interest in the program and helps you gather information to make an informed decision. Avoid questions that can be easily answered by looking at the website. Instead, inquire about specific aspects like:
Opportunities for international exposure
Industry connections for internships
Unique specializations offered in the PGDM program
This not only leaves a strong impression but also gives you valuable insights into how the program can meet your career aspirations.
6. Dress and Act Professionally
Your appearance and body language speak volumes before you even say a word. Dress in formal attire, maintain good posture, and make eye contact throughout the interview. Be mindful of your tone and pace while speaking—confidence is key, but humility is equally important. Remember, first impressions matter!
7. Stay Calm and Be Yourself
Lastly, remember that the interview panel is not just evaluating your knowledge but also your personality and how well you’d fit into their student community. Stay calm, be genuine, and don’t try to impress by pretending to be someone you’re not. Authenticity always resonates well with interviewers.
Conclusion: Preparing for your PGDM interview can be stressful, but following these tips will help you stay confident and well-prepared. Remember to highlight your unique strengths, do your homework on the school, and showcase how the PGDM program aligns with your career goals. Good luck!
