Man has always wanted to soar high into the clouds. The dream of building a building that would reach the sky seemed more realistic than flying, and the prospect of living as high as possible has fueled the architecture of the most important buildings in cities for many centuries. What Apple Vision Pro Brings Us？

On January 9, 2007, at the Macworld conference held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, USA, Jobs delivered the most incredible keynote speech of his life, which is also the most fantastic conference in the history of consumer electronics. She was used to being up late into the night, doom-scrolling on Instagram, laughing softly at reels she came across as she sent them to her friends or family before going to the next one. It was her safe space, the quietness surrounding her as she blocked out everything else in her life. 

And the bonus? Paige was right behind her, arms wrapped securely around her waist, her head buried in her neck, her soft snores background noise to her phone. Paige was exhausted, y/n knew that from the moment she opened the door and saw her standing there, so it was no surprise she passed out as soon as she collapsed on y/n’s bed and pulled her into her arms. 

Y/n was trying her best not to wake her up, suppressing her laughter whenever the ‘chicken banana’ song came on or whenever she stumbled upon a reel of funny cats. But that all failed when she scrolled again and ‘Die With A Smile’ came on, and she was faced with a small bunny who was getting ready to make his home. 

At first, she was going to scroll, but then she got too invested in the bunny’s journey to find the perfect space for his home to do anything about it. She watched as, time and again, he failed to find a spot, stumbling into other animals along the way. 

But she almost lost it when the bunny finally found a spot he thought would do, and just as he shoved his shovel into the wall, it cracked, and water consumed him. He held onto the small paper that had his plans for his house, climbing back up the tunnel he made, and leaving his other belongings behind. 

That was all she remembered before tears clouded her vision, slipping down her cheeks as she watched the rest of the short movie. She was too caught up in the ending and the tears that ran down her face to hear Paige shifting behind her, to feel her grip tightening around her waist. 

“Ma?”

Y/n blinked the tears away at the sound of her voice, wiping her cheeks harshly to get rid of them, powering her phone off to hide the evidence that she had been on it. 

She turned her head slightly, eyes locking with Paige’s tired ones, “Yeah?”

“Wha’s going on?” Her speech was slurred and rough, sleep still evident as she talked.

“Nothing, go back to sleep. M’okay.”

Paige knew the second the word ‘nothing’ slipped out of her mouth that everything was indeed not okay. 

She turned her around, her eyes trailing over her face like she was searching for an explanation as to why she was acting the way she was. Her gaze lingered on her cheeks, on the redness and the small tear stains littered across them. 

“Baby…”

“S’stupid.”

“Tell me.”

“He just wanted his home.” Y/n’s voice cracked, unable to keep her emotions at bay any longer, as she buried her head into her chest.

Confusion was plastered across Paige’s face as she heard her words, her hand automatically cradling y/n’s head, scratching at her scalp as her other hand rubbed soothing circles across her lower back. Had she really been out that long?

The only thing she could do was lie there and listen to her sobs, occasionally leaning down to press a soft kiss to her head.

Her actions got her to calm down minutes later, her soft sobs quieting into small hiccups and eventually sniffles, allowing Paige to cup her face, tilting her head so she could look at her. “What about his home?”

“The bunny, on the video.” Y/n made a weak gesture to where her phone was, face down on the bed, almost underneath her pillow.

She pulled her back into her arms, and she went without protest, y/n’s arms wrapping around her waist as Paige opened her phone and navigated to Instagram, watching the video to better understand what was going on.

“Baby, it’s just a video.”

“I know, but it-”

“Yeah, okay,” she kissed her head once more, turning her phone off. “Let’s get some sleep, that’s enough scrolling for you tonight.”

And she didn’t argue, burying her head further into her chest, relaxing as her hand resumed rubbing circles against her back, finally drifting off to sleep.

“Turn around Robin!” Batman growls authoritatively over the radio.

The commands alone shoots fear down your spine. The unspoken threat forcing every cell in your body to comply. Yet despite what you want, you stare at Robins solid back, still running ahead of you without so much as a wavering hint of submission.

“Trust me Batman- I can do it! I grew up here! I know what I’m doing.” Robin reassures.

“It’s not about trust Robin- abort the mission now!”The radio runs silent. Robins reassurance falling on deaf ears.

Feeling torn between supporting your leader, your best friend, something in your gut was telling you to turn around and high tail it out. “Stop Robin, we should abort the mission.”

“No I can do it.” He waived you off without a second to spare. Suddenly, his sense of self-assurance has you doubting your reluctance.

Jon frowns, also torn between obeying his father and being a trusting team member. “We know you can do it Robin, but we shouldn’t. Let’s just go and reassess later.” Jon coax’s unsuccessfully.

“There’s no time, I can do it.” Robin voice cracks down on both of you like a whip. His tone commanding you both to shut up and put your trust in him.

“WonderGirl, return to base now!” Wonder Woman commands, the angry voice of a mother talking to a defiant child.

“I’m sorry- I can’t just abandon him.” You say, reaching for your communications. tearing the ear piece from its place.

“Yes you can sweetie- listen to M-“ You hear the end of your mother’s pleading, less like a super hero and more like a desperate mother trying to reach her daughter.

“Superboy come back to base now!” Superman yells uncharacteristically, you expect Jon to be quaking in his boots, but Jon continues to stare forward, certainty and trust in Damian, clouding his better judgement.

“I can’t just leave them.” He says, also reaching for his comms and turning it off.

“Son-“

You three reach the end of the hall. Throwing open the doors an ultrasonic sound reverberates, a green sparking flash, bangs, instantly killing all vision.

Two hands slap against Damnians back with a brutal shove, Robin, smacks hard into the floor, the speed knocking the speed knocking the wind out of him.

One moment the world was black. The next he was crawling to Jon’s side, who continuously groans in pain. Unable to fathom the onslaught of questions falling from Damian’s mouth.

Jon continues to groan as he shakily lifts a crocked finger to point at your body laying unnaturally limp on the floor.

Your hair sprayed in strands.

One eye sealed shut whilst the other eye is left open, pupil remaining unchanging to the shifting lights. Your arm sits twisted behind your back as your unrising chest seems to release a loud sigh before you remain unmoving.

“No!” Robin screams scrambling to your devastating state. He reaches to pull you in his arms, to safety. But the mangled state of your appearance makes his arms wrench away. Terrified that the slightest movement could kill you.

‘Analysing��’ the AI voice says ‘WonderGirl: ECG is 0. SP0C is 78% and rapidly declining. Pulse is undetected. Temperature is 34 degrees Celsius and declining. Injuries sustained are significant.’

The blood rushes to Damian’s head. The roars of rushing blood drowns out any and all sound.

‘Analysis complete. Sending a black alert to headquarters. WonderGirl is deceased.’

Without uttering another word, Damian picks up your body and pulls Jon at his tattered sleeve as he sobs. “Come Superboy, we’re going to the Lazarus Pit.”

Damian stands in the Lazarus Pit, cradling you with sincere regret. Your sorry state burning permanently into his broken mind.

“Why isn’t she coming back?! She should be back right now right?” Jon says, flailing in panic behind Damian.

“Calm down Jon- sometimes it takes time.” He reassures, but Damian’s shaky hands breaks the facade of his confidence.

“Calm down?! She’s dead! You-“

“Knew you would save me Short Stuff.” You mutter weakly. Cutting Jon off from uttering any words of regret he’ll be unable to take back.

Damian pulls you into a crushing hug. Needing to feel your liveliness himself. Jon leaps into the pit, throwing his arms around you both. His teary face pressing into you.

“Jeez, if I knew I would get this kind of treatment, I should’ve kicked the bucket earlier.” You chuckle, weakly returning the hug to these two lugs.

“Yeah well don’t get use to it freak.” He whispers with a wobbly lip. “… don’t ever do that again.” He says, pulling you even closer than before.

“Idiot,” You wheeze, slight pain shooting up your spine at how tight Damian was holding you. “you would’ve been obliterated on the walls. I have no regrets and I’ll do it again if I have too.” You reassure which only makes Damian pull away with a crooked brow.

“Moron! No you won’t.” He reprimands. Making you gasp.

“You absolute brat! Don’t tell me what to do!” You lecture back, shoving a pointed finger into Damian’s chest.

“Stop trying to sacrifice yourself you masocist.” He yells back, throwing you onto the floor with a loud thud.

Still weak from revival, you remain limp on the floor. “You ungrateful brat! I died for you-“

“Oh great, how long are you going to hold this over me.” He cuts you off, turning his back once again and walking off.

Jon sighs in resignation, scooping up your weak form and carrying you right out with him. “A lifetime.”

“A lifetime? You-“ Damian’s sentence cut-off by Jon as he rips him into a group hug again, a large smile plastered across his face.

This year has been very hectic for everyone what with the election results so I haven't been very active on tumblr (I think everyone can understand that) but I was originally planning on also having each month of the year being a different themed writing / art challenge but got a bit distracted real life.

So, what is the Novella November Challenge?

It's a fun challenge where writers come together to write 30,000 (or your own personal writing goal!) words in 30 days, sharing tips, writing advice, plot ideas, accessibility aids, and committing to having fun while explicitly fighting back against Generative AI by using our own words and disavowing the use of scraping and generating to take away the livelyhoods of artists of all spectrums, and proving everyone who insists "generative AI is an accessibility tool" wrong by committing to our creative visions and making it easier for everyone to find the tools they need to succeed by sharing tips, free programs, and finding a like-minded community to support you! 💙

Most modern phones have a built-in option available on your keyboard settings which can be used on any writing program on your phone, and most modern PCs that allow a microphone (including headphone) connection has some kind of native dictation function, which you can find by opening your start panel and searching your computer for "Speech to text" or "voice to text".

Want to write while on the go, but don't want to / can't use the small phone keyboard to type, or speech to text?

You can, for as cheap as $40, buy a bluetooth keyboard that you can pair with your smart phone or tablet and use to write in any and all writing applications on your phone -- this allows you to write on the goal (especially using cross-platform websites or services, like 4thewords or google docs) , and the small screen can also help minimize distractions by muting notifications in your writing time.

Alright so two days ago my battery DRAINED like crazy. Like, it was almost dead by 4 pm where it usually has at LEAST 50%, but usually more than 60%. This is after the UI 7.0 update, universally hated.

Bonus Note: to turn off the stupid separate notifications/other panel thing, swipe down on the notification bar → click the edit button (the pencil) → click "panel settings" (top left) → change from "separate" to "together"

I went into my battery to see what was draining it...

Lo and behold, it's AI shit that nobody wants ✨

BUT don't panic, I figured out how to fix it! (Cut here so it doesn't clog up feeds) :)

You need to go to settings → apps and then click the filter button (see below if you don't know where it is, drawn very shakily in blue) and select "Show system apps"

To find our culprit, scroll down to the "P" apps, and click on "Personal Data Intelligence". Here's where it's draining your battery: the permissions that it automatically accesses for no reason but to (presumably) put AI stuff/options on there!

Clear the data first, I don't know if it actually did something but it made me feel better.

Now deny all of the permissions it has access to. It's going to show a pop up every time claiming that features of your device (AI features) won't work as intended and you're going to click "deny anyway" for ALL of them.

I don't know if it affected anything, but I also: blocked notifications, set default to other apps so that it wouldn't open, turned off background data usage (in the Mobile Data section)

Also, don't forget to make sure it can't change your system settings!! I don't know what it wants to change, but it might turn the permissions back on and continue draining your battery if you allow it to change system settings.

While you can't do it with this, with other apps you can change the battery usage to "restricted", meaning it will not run in the background (as much) and use less battery!

Here's the results from today, I have used it less than yesterday but it didn't even show up on the battery usage list so I think I fixed it!!

I've also done this process and/or deactivated (bolded ones are for sure AI or similar stuff) (these are my personal preference): AI Wallpaper, Android System Intelligence, Avatar Editor, Avatar Stickers, Bixby, Bixby Vision, Customization Service, Drawing Assist, Galaxy Avatar, Galaxy editing service, Galaxy Themes Service, Game Booster, Game Optimizing Service, Gaming Hub, Gemini, Google Location History, Google Play Services for AR, Hey Google Hotword, all of the "Knox" stuff, LiveEffectService, MDMApp, Meet Installer, Meta App Installer, Meta App Manager, Meta Services, MhsAiService, Modes and Routines, OK Google Hotword, Recommended Apps, Reminder, Samsung Checkout, Samsung Cloud, Samsung Cloud Assistant, Samsung Editing Assets, Samsung Intelligence Voice Services, Samsung Internet, everything with "Smart" in the beginning of the title, Video Effects, Voice Wake-Up, aaaaand WiFiAiService
