Just remembered this place exists and had a thought:
Have it be run by Chuckles and the other clowns and this would become Gideon’s personal hell.

to be fair, it’s now run by a las vegas resort/casino mogul and the motel rooms are themed after famous horror franchises (friday the 13th, halloween, etc) with a michelin star restaurant inside and package deals on cemetery tours so it’s a lot less creepy than the image and tweet implies. all the same, i’m working on booking a room with my bff for august since my sister is following in my footsteps and having her 21st birthday in vegas so claire and i are tagging along.

I forgot to mention -- on the way to Vegas, I was feeling lost and I know GPS cannot always be trusted.
At one point, I thought, “Is this taking me to Area 51?”
Not too long after that, I saw this store, which I’ve seen posts about here before. So yes, it took me at least CLOSE to Area 51.
On the way home I took a different route to avoid route 186, which was scary to drive on, and this new route included a stop in Tonopah to get gas and a beverage, where the infamous Clown Motel is that I’ve also seen posts about here.
And on the way out of town, I saw it. I was just driving by, so it wasn’t as creepy as some posts lead me to believe since I couldn’t look at it much since I needed to concentrate on driving; I thought about pulling in and looking at it more, but I was anxious to get home, knowing that I still had a long drive ahead of me.
Neither photo by me. I searched them. But I saw both of these places that I had only ever seen online before.
What a long, strange trip this was to see a concert that I was too tired to make it through.

Ghost Hunting in Tonopah, Nevada
Our road trip this time takes us deep into the Nevada desert to an old mining town that is still booming today. It was my kids 16th birthday and the only wish was to stay at a haunted hotel. So we headed out on a haunted road trip filled with abandon buil
