Pens social media finally made the boys sign old photos and I am feral and gnawing at my cage about it.

I love these boys so much. Petey and Rak are so married Pens soc med team got the other to present the photo. All of the mom's facebooks the social media team found. All the photos in general are precious. Ned's pink hair for breast cancer awareness and the fact that he was expecting a different embarrassing photo. Doc's baby hockey photo and Sid thinking he was a child while Doc informs him he's actually 17 at the time of photo. Sid looking delicious and sweaty but inedible due to the inescapable sight of his disgusting pads. All of the literal child photos of the children are so good. Special shoutout to pickering and mcgroarty for being babies. There implication that they did this to Hayes and Cookie which means we might get a part two. I am feral guys.
"The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Cody Glass, a 2025 third-round draft pick and a 2026 sixth-round draft pick from the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Jordan Frasca, it was announced today by President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Kyle Dubas."
hi! I'm a casual hockey fan geographically tied to PIT, can you explain why people (at least as far as I've seen) are so excited for the Cody Glass trade? I know we've been terrible lately and could use all the help we can get, but does he fill a particular niche that we need filled or is it just new blood frenzy? thanks for everything you do! 💙
Hi there anon! I'll just point you to this article to start...
The good news about Glass is that at 25-years old, he could possibly be the youngest forward on the team next season (Valtteri Puustinen is two months younger). Glass also had a 14-goal, 35-point season in 2022-23 for the Predators.
And this:
I think it's mostly fresh blood. Glass has some potential, and definitely was a bad fit with the Brunette system, but to expect him to be more than a bottom sixer is silly imo at this point in his career.
However, it's notable that Pittsburgh basically got Glass and some picks for free. Nashville needed the cap room, so they tied picks to Glass in exchange for an ECHLer. That being said, that's the second cap dump Pittsburgh has accepted and a strong sign that they don't intend to be competing in Crosby's twilight years.
That being said, if you can get 22-23 Glass back, that's a 0.5ppg player, which is solid as a third liner. So there is upside, it's not like they picked up an abysmal player. We'll see how it shakes out though!
Matthew Tkachuk #19 of the Florida Panthers and Cody Glass #8 of the Nashville Predators battle for control of the puck during third-period action during a preseason game at the Amerant Bank Arena on September 25, 2023 in Sunrise, Florida.
No words can say how I'm proud of this team this lose hurts but they have fought so hard til the end. Thank you preds for a year like this especially during that 18 game point streak. Boys don't hang your head low because of this keep them up high. Let's look for to next season. 💛💙
Preds U2 revenge tour win streak ended by the habs?! 😂 and Suzuki got the OT gwg lmaaooo (not surprising tho). Ok so i had this sitting in my drafts, written during the avs loss against preds the other night when someone got a hat trick...
Ppl keep asking who tf is cody glass?!! Fun fact about cody glass.. vgk had a buncha draft picks and got both him and nick suzuki in the 2017 draft 1st round
In a 2018 trade with the habs (bergevin trying to get rid of pacioretty after some bad blood) tatar was the main piece and vgk threw in 13th pick Suzuki as an add-on to help sweeten the deal. habs pushed back with wanting 6th pick Glass instead but vgk was all lmao no he's more valuable than that here have this other dude
ff to now, Glass gradually coming into his own with the preds after some up n down to the AHL. Meanwhile Suzuki been captaining a rebuilding storied franchise🙃 that 2018 trade ended up being habs ex-captain for their future captain
Just funny how things could've been so different. Trades be WILD
