not to come out as a vicious capitalist for the wedding industry but if you want a traditional wedding dress from a traditional wedding store...........go there At Least 3 months before your wedding..................please.
#like you dont have to do the traditional american thing of deciding every color and menu item#(im not)#but if youre going to for the love of god leave enough time to actually get it all done#a bride came in today and she hadnt decided even a color for her bridesmaids to wear and her wedding is in a month.....#babygirl. it takes a month for these dresses to be delivered to you and another month for alterations YOU HAVE NO TIME!!!#another bride's wedding was a month away and she didnt have a dress!#and then she got snippy bc we didnt have any appointments until later in the evening like ma'am. this is a weekend during our big season#we were already doing two brides per person like pleathe.....

Why did we not get a bridesmaid and a best man?
I did like the combination of yellow and lilac flowers for the Polin wedding in the church.

being nonbinary in a wedding party is uhhh... stressful
#i love my sister and i want to be a part of her big day. and she loves me and is super supportive and i'm specifically a bridesperson and#not a bridesmaid but also i KNOW i'm gonna get misgendered bc i'mnot particularly masculine and i'm going to be standing up there with#three women. and then there's the outfits like... the groomsman just get to be in gray with accent color ties/shirts but the bridespeople#are going to be in green. like not only do i have to find formal wear that doesnt make me dysphoric but it also has to be a non-standard#color like. and also its gonna be summertime and probably hot and humid as heck

#i think probably i wish the arrangement of the text was slightly different#like either i'd expect one line at the top of the image and the other at the bottom#or i'd expect them both to be overlaid#this placement is a little random and it might be a dealbreaker#the sense of whimsy IS very fun tho#(really i mostly only wear really plain clothing—sometimes tiny shorts in quite bright colors but not usually graphic tanks)#(but like. a boy can dream)#anyway i got started on this bc i saw threadless was having a big sale but like. have not attempted 2 navigate that site in many years lol#i think there are probably some designs on it i'd like but most of them are hella tacky and it's not as if you can sort by 'actually good'#which is a shame bc a lot of sites sure could use that filter! etsy in particular lol#good stuff there but also SO much custom bridesmaid shit#the inevitable end of all human endeavor probably

Second off why is that #2 in the list of things you needed to discuss with me today. Why was that a front running question??
