on the JP server, when does groovy art come out? cuz like ive been checking wiki gg to see if the rapunzel groovies have been released yet and idk it might just be the wiki holding off until the events over (but i haven't seen groovy art of it at all but it might just be me since im trying to avoid spoilers for riddles card specifically). but since EN is like a year behind JP all the cards and stuff have already been released so theres no wait time so idk if on JP you can only groovy new cards until like the event ends or smth

the schedule says the Lanterns groovies/personal stories will come out on the 5th, which is when the event ends! usually they release them along with the last part of the event (sometimes the SSRs afterwards), but this time they're waiting til after on all of them for some reason. 🤷

not too much longer to go though! the aesthetic of this one is sooooo pretty, I know already that they're going to absolutely ♪ murder meeee ♫ ( ᐛ )

Continuing on the whole "Alola thinks Mega Evos are bad!" thing... even though there ARE potential dangers associated with Mega Evolution that are touched upon even in the Generation they were introduced in, it was always framed in a way that suggested that any complications with Mega Evos tended to be the result of inexperience or other external factors. Not to mention that some Gen 7 Dex entries absolutely frame certain Mega Evo entries in such a way that it reinforces the cultural bias instead of challenging it. Like they carried out experiments to gather data on Mega Evolutions, but in such a way that the results were guaranteed to favor their already skewed viewpoints that favored the use of Z-Moves instead. Like a "We, the Obviously Biased Group of People, have done an internal investigation on whether or not we are in the wrong about this thing and have concluded that, on totally fair grounds, we are absolutely right and correct about this thing all the time forever." sort of thing.

Oh I really like this take, especially considering that we have a shady scientific organisation in Alola that could have absolutely fed into these "findings" through questionable studies (*cough cough* Aether Foundation *cough cough*)

talking (just rambling, really) about the end game region of the echo ending, spoilers ahead!

-> please do not share information from the second ending of the game; i haven't played that far yet and would like to experience it for myself.

surprisingly, i haven't seen anyone really talk about how we got our first ever look at the world before the iterators.

in the spinning top watcher ending, our end game region is ancient urban, a region in which there is no rain timer. at first you could assume this is because you're atop an iterator structure, but the presence of sewers and old style shelters* could say otherwise.

*these shelters are only ever seen in outer expanse & ancient urban, so it can be assumed that these were an older model of shelters (assuming that downpour lore & watcher lore are connected, which is not confirmed as far as i'm aware).

this ending was incredible in terms of lore -- we get to see things only hinted at before now, while still not having full confirmation on a number of things. i think it was a fantastic way to keep the mystery of the game intact, while giving us a bit of fan-service as well.

think of all the things we now know for certain about the ancients: their heights (no, not the giant shadows lmao), the masks, the void baths, their voices. incredible, honestly. i cried for 30 minutes after the ancients reveal i won't lie (only made worse by spinning top's ending).

but anyway, nothing much to take away from this. i’m just being sentimental about this game lol

I am usually not a wof poster and I don't follow the series very closely anymore, but there was something I was disappointed with in perils design over the course of the graphic novels. Here's what she looked like in the first one:

Really cute, I think! Her head shape is pretty unique and recognizable. Now, here's how she's drawn in the most recent comic.

She just looks like... Everyone else. She was reduced to the L-shaped head, just like all the other designs. This made me so sad because I remember being in love with how she was drawn in the first one. Is this an artist change? A style change? A design change? Who knows! Just something that made me sad.
