Regressor Joel headcanons
(Spoilers for The Last of Us up to ep 3)
Tumblr media
First of all, let's make this an AU where everything is less bad and Tess, Bill and Frank are all okay because I need them to be TwT
Joel is always protecting everybody so he sometimes needs to be protected too
-The first time he regresses it's unintentional. It's been a really stressful couple of days, so when he finally got a chance to sit down, he wanted to just breathe for a moment but the sudden stop from all the running hit him full force and he felt so tired. Everything went fuzzy in front of his eyes, he felt off and he couldn't put his thoughts together. It wasn't until Tess entered the apartment, stopping in her tracks and asking 'what's wrong' that Joel realised his eyes were full of tears. Tess walked over to sit next to him, putting her arm over his shoulder and Joel pulled up his knees on the couch curling in on himself. He leaned further against Tess and started quietly sobbing in frustration when he couldn't find the words to answer the concerned questions. When it was clear the questions weren't going nowhere, Tess just hugged Joel tighter until the sobbing stopped and the snores began. They stayed curled up together through the night, Joel's hand firmly holding onto the hem of Tess' shirt.
-Joel is reluctant about letting himself slip, always on high alert and looking around for danger. But both him and Tess remember how much more relaxed he was after the first time he regressed. So even though it takes weeks, Joel allows himself to explore regression under Tess' watchful supervision.
- He tends to be quiet and very careful when he's Little. He doesn't let his caregiver out of his sight even for a second and often follows after closely like a little duck
-He's happy with whatever he finds, using random items as toys and finding a hundred different uses for the simplest of things. He can repurpose a sheet of paper from a convas to countless origami animals, to planes, to a ball and then even puzzles! Of course he dutifully gathers the ripped paper after he's done playing
-Joel constantly looks to his carer for reasurance. Either just looks at his carer to make sure he can take an another item to play with or glancing over at his caregivers face to make sure that he's not doing something bad (he never does, but he's worried and needs to make sure)
-When he's comfortable enough, he visits Bill and Frank with Tess. He doesn't go anywhere other people are when he's little, but the two older men became something of close friends with Joel and Tess and their town turned into a safe space.
-During the visits the little guy is still most likely to be found close to Tess, but as Bill and Frank prove themselves to be trustworthy caregivers Joel trusts them enough to be led away from Tess to see things they want to show him
-Just the same as they hold on to clothes for Tess, Frank and Bill gather any children's books, toys and anything alse they find suitable for Joel. Eventually there's boxes full of children's things permanently at their house for when the visitors return
-Between the 3 carers, Little Joes rarely gets a chance to get bored. Tess often spends the time with him by reading or retelling different stories or trying to catch along with whatever adventure Joel makes his toys play out
-Frank likes to introduce the little one to gardening and more artistic activities. The two spend hours in beds of flowers or making picnics from the plants they pick out. Joel also gets to play with paint, gathering prise at his finger painted drawings. By the time it's dinner, Joel is always covered in paint or dirt, or sometimes both. Oftentimes Frank is in a similar shape- the small guy gets clingy and who is he to refuse a hug? Becides, a dirty child is a happy child!
-Bill's caregiving mostly consists of either working or music, or one followed by the other. There's always something to fix in the secure town so he finds a way to make it fun for Joel. He finds something that's not too dangerous to work on and recruits the tyke to 'help him'. Of course it's mostly just for things like holding a flashlight, handing over individual screws, watching if the lights light up or fetching things, but the little guy gets so invested in his tasks! And he proudly points out what he helped with to the other carers. When the tasks are done and Joel gets tired, they go to the radio basement where Bill tells the younger man all about music that's playing before they fall asleep on the small couch. But sometimes when Bill is having a good day, they'll play pretend- some of the favourite games being a game where Joel has to sneak around super-agent style to not be noticed by imaginary intruders while Bill randomly points to where someone is or playing Floor is Lava. When the game is over the house tends to be a mess but the carers deem it a worthy sacrifice for how giddy and excited (if tired from playing) Joel is.
That's all I have for now but since my brain won't let go of Joel there probably will be more :³ plese tell me your hcs id love to hear other peoples ideas!! <3

✨EMILY’S DEBUT IN THE KAITOU JOKER ANIME✨
Takes place during season 1 episode 2
(Note : WHAT?? SHE POSTED TWO TIME TODAY?? Im just silly 🤭)
when I think of a time where emily appearing in the anime it would be in episode 2 the paris 100 year safe. Yes yes she would be with inspector oniyama once again in order to "capture" (more like interview) Joker. So I'll put it in bullet points to make it more easier in my brain
So Emily and Oniyama arrive at Paris towards the museum.
Inspector oniyama is looking around the area theorizing ways of how joker will be arriving to steal the Recollection of Napoleon while Emily is just entering the museum because you know she would never pass up an oppertunity to go look around france's best artwork
Besides apparently theres this 100 year old safe thats going to open in just a few minutes right now! Talk about once and a life time!
Eventually she is bound to meet Detecting Viridian A & Mister l'm an amazing painter who can make BEAUTIFUL artwork AND a detective at the same time
Now to make it clear
This isn't the first time they have met
They met when Emily had to interview Viridian on his skills
It was fine
Until well Viridian said something that make Emily ick. I won’t give you thw details since it was only between the both of them but lets just say they have a love hate relationship in a way
“Oh? Miss Emily I didn’t know you were here at Paris. What are you doing here?” “Oh hello Viridian, well just so you know I’m here to-“ “interview that theif? The one you have been writing articles about” “…If you knew that why did you ask me!” “Heh well I’m here to capture said theif! This Kaitou Joker is just an ugly pest I will put behind the bars.” “Suree thats what they all said” “Don’t doubt me yet, Miss Emily. Just watch and see”
So they arrive at the room where the 100 year safe is located bla bla bla viridian find out joker and hachi are disguised as inspector oniyama bla bla bla The detective snatches the guide book of the museum to see the painting bla bla blaand then..joker reveals he has already stolen the Recollection of Napoleon?! (Que the curator fainting)
WHA?! WHAAT?! (folks who watched the episode if you know you know)
BRO EVEN SHOWED THE PAINTING TO PROVE IT
Obviously everyone is shocked, emily is quickly jotting this down in her note pad.
Hachi notices but he doesnt get to say anything when the countdown to the safe opening has started
Honestly I wouldn’t blame Hachi in tjis scene beacuse I too would be freaking out about a 100 year old safe opening
So its open
What seems to be a child’s painting is found inside
Literally everyone : 😦😧😯
Joker : 😏✨
Emily, sweetie, dont write too hard, you’ll rip a tear through the paper…
Bla bla bla bla joker and hachi try to escape bla bla viridian reveals that he painted the door so they wont escape (Emily did not even realize it) and explained how the room is slowly moving with the safe bla bla bla joker and hachi are stuck
So at some point hachi asks about what emily is doing since he’s been seeing her write alot
She introduces herself and explain that she is writing an article about this
“Emily?! Emily Oak?! W-wait really?!” “Yeah and you’re Hachi right? Joker’s new..assistant?”
A wild Joker joins the conva as he waves the paintings around to find the door with a yell (viridian is picking up the paintings and making new ones as well) “He’s my apprentice!”
Hachi huffs out in pide with a smirk and Emily smiles and she jots down this new information.
Later on the phantom theif thinks its amazing idea to use his one of his playing cards to blow up a wall (viridian thinks its a horrible idea, emily thinks its cool)
Unfortunatly that plan is foiled and now Joker is in cuffs, hachi is spewing out apologized for messing up, viridian is so close to doing a victory dance and emily dawns the realization that THE kaitou joker is actually losing…TO A FRENCH DETECTIVE
NOW SHE’LL BE FORCED TO DO BORING ARTICLES AND SHE WILL LIVE WITH THE FACT THAT VIRIDIAN IS RIGHT
All of a sudden
A door opens
A pizza man arrives from an open door in the safe room
“….huh?” “Oh yeah, I ordered food” “…..*gasp*!”
AHA THE GRAND ESCAPE BEGINS
But whats this? Joker is running to the childish painting inside the 100 yr safe and switching it with the “real” painting?!
And whats this?! Hachi is going for the “real” painting as the countdown starts for the safe to close?!
AAAA THE SCENE WAS TOO MUCH FOR A LITTLE KID LIKE ME AROUND THE TIME
Anyway of course hachi didnt get stuck inside
Or else the show would have ended duh 🙄
With the power of smoke bombs from joker’s cards, he sticks gum into the gears of the safe and grab hachi out of there to exit the museum with the childish painting.
Viridian smirks and looks at what he thinks is the real paitning “Even if I didn’t arrest Joker, at least I successfully prevented him from stealing the Recollection of Napoleon! I would say that is something to applaude for, Miss Emily” “I guess, but don’t you think it was strange for Joker to do that?” “Its fine, the theif just made the worst decision ever. I mean of the course the Recollection of Napoleon would look this beautiful unlike the one that Joker stole, it is truely a masterpiece!”
The curator finally awakes from his faint. Viridian turns around to face him prepearing a daring speech of how he kept Joker away from stealing the painting but was met with a shriek instead.
“W-what?! Thats not the Recollection of Napoleon!!” “EH?!”
ok im lazy to tell the rest bro just watch the episode
Anyway Emily Oak was once again amazed by Kaitou Joker. She couldn’t wait to write an article about this adventure and the new addition of Hachi, Joker’s apprentice.
Bonus‼️ ⭐️ :
Back in the Sky Joker, Hachi (after cooking dinner for him and Joker (who was fast asleep in his room with the painting)) was going through the internet. It wasn’t long until the ninja boy found an article by Emily Oak about what happened today in paris. He smiled with excitement as he read the whole thing and was happy to see he was mentioned.
“WAAAA I’M FAMOUS NOW!!✨✨”
“HACHI BE QUIET!!l
————————————————————————
WOOO HOOO
Damm that took long
Ok for me
Any other person would think “I can do this quick wdym”
well good for you buddy🧌 I’m happy for you
Thank you for reading! I hope you liked it and have a nice day or night‼️ ✨

Once upon a time, a singer, a painter, and an author all met together for a picnic.
As they were all artists, they decided they would all share their works with one another.
The singer performed a brief ballad with many crescendos and vibratos, even an allegro. When she was finished, she smiled with pride.
But the painter and the author stared confused. "What was that?" They said.
"Where were the colors?" The painter asked.
"And where was the twist?" Inquired the author.
"It's a song," huffed the singer indignantly. "Let's see you do better."
The author confidently retreived the manuscript of a short story they were preparing from their bag and handed it to their fellow arists, awaiting for them to finish reading all the way through. There was a hook, a climax, and even a tragic ending.
"I don't understand," the singer said, puzzled, "where was the melody? What part was the chorus?"
"And what of the characters?" The painter cried. "They had no shape! No form!"
"It's a story," the author grumbled as they snatched back their tale and hid it away. "If you're so skilled, what do you have?"
The painter grinned as he got up and held a covered convas before his fellow artists. Pulling away the cover, he revealed a vibrant landscape with brilliant stars, detailed mountains, and a family of birds in a snow-sprinkled tree.
They waited and stared.
"Is that it?" Said the author. "How does it end?"
"The birds - they have no song at all!" Said the singer.
The painter's head fell, and his shoulders slumped. "It's just a painting," he said. "If none of us likes the others' art, even though we're all experienced artists, does that mean..."
"Does that mean none of us are really that good?" The singer finished. "Oh, no! That would make sense. After all, how could we all be wrong?"
The author sat silent, still looking at the painting. Their eyes lingered on the birds, curious as to what their story would be. "Tell me, what is the mother bird's name?"
The painter found the question odd. "Well... I hadn't thought of that. I suppose she doesn't have one. Or, I suppose... you could choose one?"
They paused and pondered for a moment, then lit up. "I think 'Willa' would suit her." The author nodded proudly. "Her chicks are hungry and tireless, but she makes an effort to sing to them every night anyway."
The singer, now curious as well, spoke up, "And what do you think she would sound like?"
The author puzzled for a second, then turned and said, "I don't know, but perhaps you could invent her song."
The singer smiled, then nodded. She closed her eyes, took a breath, and let a song dance from her lungs and fill the air.
The painter and the author sat and admired the painting of the bird, listening to the singer's song and imagining Willa, the mother bird, tending to her nest.
When the singing stopped, the painter looked up and said, "You know, I think your song does have color after all."
The singer sat beside the painter and looked to the author, "I just kept thinking of Willa while I sang - I think I found your story's melody."
The author smiled proudly, and looked over to the painting once more, leaning their head on the painter's shoulder. "Oh," they say. "There it is."
The painter chuckles, "There what is?"
"The end."

met a girl in college who, when we were assigned to wander around campus looking at all the art pieces hung up in the various halls, would straight up put her hands on the art. Not the super delicate paper stuff, but the ones with layers & layers of paint that always looked so good to touch but I never had because it wasn't allowed? Anyways no one stopped us & lowkey I think she changed the way I see art forever. Hope she's doing well out there

Norman Rockwell: Art Critic, 1955. Oil on canvas Cover illustration for "The Saturday Evening Post," April 16, 1955 Photo: Norman Rockwell Museum Collections. A popular, recurring subject in Norman Rockwell’s work are images commenting on the practice of both creating and appreciating art itself. For 1955’s Art Critic, Rockwell posed his son, Jarvis, as a young artist intensely examining gallery artworks that, unbeknownst to him, are staring back at him — blurring the line of fantasy and reality.

This is an Old Painting that I've made back in Sptember 2017, the Same Day HURRICANE HARVEY occurred. I was living in San Antonio,Tx back then, Houston was the most affected city, but we still get a verry massive storm in San Antonio as well.
Somehow that Crazy weather gave me inspiration to mix some Black & White Acrylic-Paintings on a canvas , so i choosed my apparemnt balcony wich is my favorite space work, to capture that vibe and save it on this convas.
I was thinking to add some additional details, but after a moment of reflection, i decided to just keep like it was, otherwise it ll loose it's vibe.
