Back to Coram Campus this week to shoot for the children's charity, Coram. The event was a celebration of a new Coram Group partnership with The Churchill Fellowship, creating a new partnership themed on children and young people with experience of care. Inspiring the audience about his experiences was Churchill Fellow, Emmanuel Akpan-Inwang highlighting the impact of his Fellowship, including the recent opening of a new type of children’s home in south London, Lighthouse Pedagogy Trust.

apologies if this has already been asked, but what languages do you think your graphic novel will be available in? I’d love to read it but alas I know zero french lol

For now it's only slated to be published in french, but the international right have also been signed off so if the publishing house decides to do so there might be translations in the future. For now it's impossible to tell and it hinges on the success of the french edition beforehand so fingers crossed !

Feeling sad about the fact that like. Lyra had nobody waiting for her when she came back to Jordan. Yeah, Iorek said that she's always welcome at Svalbard, but as we saw in season one, that's pretty far away, it's not like she can just pop over for coffee and a catch up whenever she feels like it. Serafina goes through with her, but she's got a whole clan to be queen of, she's got shit to do- and, with the prophecy resolved, she can consider her duty to Lyra done, she doesn't need to keep watching over her anymore.

She had Roger, but he's dead and dissolved into atoms, same with Lee. Her parents jumped into oblivion, so it's not like there's even the hope of reconciling with them at some point. The only people she still has in Oxford, really, are the Master, Ma Costa, John Faa and Farder Coram, who would probably like to see she's okay, but we don't see any reunions with any of them. And at the end of the day, it's not really the same as Will reuniting with Elaine. For all we joked in the first two seasons about Lyra collecting parents everywhere she goes, when all is said and done, she doesn't really have anyone left- nobody on that level, at least.

And that's honestly really sad to me.

I started sketching some Pulp Musicals characters around midnight last night and thought to myself, "hey, these look pretty damn good!" so I kept going until 3 am. Today I brought 'em into clip studio to play with them some more, and now I have these!! plus my silly doodles and dumb commentary + jokes. <3

and some versions w/o color! the traditional + digital sketching is a neat combination, I think.

A day to remember. A few portraits from the Coram Day reunion organised by the Old Coram Association, a group of former people who grew up in the Foundling Hospital between the 1930s & 1950s. Hats off to the 17th century innovator Thomas Coram & the dedicated Coram staff who continue his work today!
