Cost to develop an app like Facebook
Producing an application like Facebook would depend upon many factors like features, platform, and the location of the development team. Some key features like user profiles, messaging, and notifications have very significant implications on the overall cost. After producing the application, maintenance, marketing, and sustaining the application afterwards make equally crucial things that must be included in your budget. Knowing these will help you estimate the overall cost to develop an app like Facebook.

ninjamuffin newgrounds post!
tl;dr
fuck ads!! use adblocker whenever you can!!
the crew tries to make fnf as ad-free as possible, not just the game but where you download it- it's why it's on itch/newgrounds and not anywhere that offers ad revenue
that being said, fnf mobile will likely have a free version which... will have ads. they will try not to make the ads too obnoxious
(there will be an ad-free paid version too!)
extra note from me, not the post: if you're an android user you totally shouldn't use youtube revanced and purpletv or anything for mobile youtube and twitch adblockers. it would be such a hindrance to the advertisers. ha ha
full post copied below ⬇️
greetings and merry xmas newgrounds
on my brain for a very long time has been advertisements. Something about ads that stick in my brain ever since I came across this little thing from Lichess.

In due time, unfortunately this post will become a bit hypocritical, as we will eventually publish FNF onto mobile, and that will very likely have a free ad supported version. Hopefully that doesn't undermine my thoughts too much, however FNF is more than just me and my brain! Not everything I say goes in terms of FNF decisions! So with all that being said, let me begin shouting about everything I hate about ads.
I use adblocker on everything, and you should too. UBlock Origin has been my reliable go to. Online ads are especially an insidious breed. I'll try not to be some tinfoil hat, but I do often wonder what the internet would look like if the online ad model *wasn't* fruitful back in the early days of the internet. Would Facebook, Google, etc. have an arms race to the bottom to get infinite amounts of data on every single person ever? Would social media algorithms optimize for a different experience other than *spend as much time as possible on our site*? Ads have existed before Youtube, Google, internet though. They exist on TV, on subways and buses, on radio, in newspapers. I think for the most part my deep hatred of ads is for online kind, I do think there can be "irl" ads that I find very unpleasant. Going on a subway or sitting at a bus stop, I think people deserve more dignity from their city public transit than to have something sold to them! I don't think an ad free life should be only reserved for those who can pay for spotify premium, youtube red, etc. I think everyone should be entitled to that DIGNITY.
X (the everything app, formerly Twitter ) has a Premium subscription that costs 10$/month (CAD), and they will only give you *half* the ads in your feed. How generous of them. I will be dramatic, and say that I look at ads with disgust. I hope to think I'm somewhat justified, as most ads look like dogshit, and are pretty worthless.
For a very long time (and currently, as of writing/posting) FNF has been entirely ad free. We did stand up to putting it on other web portals that offer ads and ad payments/rev share, because we do somewhat want to be part of the change we'd like to see in the world. We want to believe in a world where someone can put out a free game on itch/newgrounds, and have the development be supported purely off donations (which FNF was supported by that in the early days / first 6 months of development!). We definitely could have made much MUCH more money if we put FNF on websites that offer ad rev share, but we didn't, and I hope that doesn't fall on deaf ears.
However we do promote our own things from within the game, Kickstarter, merch, etc. I suppose I'm less upset or even thinking about that, I think there's a big difference if we had a lil Kickstarter trailer in-game that played, opposed to having an in-game advertisement for some fuckass mobile game or some cosmetics or somethin. We specifically are still curating what we are putting in the game with our lil links to merch, kickstarter, etc.
We also provide the soundtrack on Spotify / streaming services, which do indeed get money from ads. I think I'm so detatched from Spotify ads and being angry at them, since I've been spotify premium user even at the brokest poorest in my life... i need them album downloads!!! I do think that's an aspect where there is an adfree alternative, which is Bandcmap, where you can listen to the FNF OST as much as you want, and if you pay some coin, you can download it in high quality!
My thoughts on FNF mobile with ads is that they will make me very unhappy and deeply sad. I do sincerely apologize to those of you who would be unable to play FNF on anything other than a mobile device, and aren't able to get the full mobile version, so you become punished with ads. We do hope to not be obnoxious with mobile ads. If you have a computer, even a shitty busted one that runs slow, I personally hope you end up compiling the mobile version yourself to get past ads. The thought of that lets me rest easier just a little bit. The FNF will be proudly open source forever.
There will also be a paid version of FNF mobile, that will have no ads. Pay for that one if you please.

Rise of the Guardians Dash n Drop

The mobile game by PikPok and released in the App Store and Google Play. It stayed online for years but ultimately was taken down in 2016.

This game, by every right, should have been what was released on game consoles everywhere. The graphics, music, and gameplay are all brilliantly done. The game is fun, addictive, and incredibly challenging without being frustrating. It has only one single control, something that should make this unbelievably simple to play but creates a difficulty in maneuvering around the constant enemies approaching from all sides.

This likely encourages the purchase of boosts in the workshop, but the lack of negative consequences to losing a level means you don't experience the frustration that fuels in-app game purchases.

The price of coins is reasonable for the cost of each lower level boost. For $20 you can get 1,500 Holiday shields, protecting you from 4,500 nightmare attacks. (In 2012 I was making $10 an hour, the cost of the ticket to see this movie was $8)

And that's not the only boost, as you progress across the cities you begin to gain support from your fellow Guardians, who will attack or block the Nightmares to protect your sliegh.

From Sandy turning them into Coins, recouping part of your purchase, to Jack freezing them in place making them harmless or easily breakable if you run into them. These boosts are not just a purchase item, you can collect them as you go, either by themselves or by rescuing Elves on the way.

Like all mobile games they keep you coming back with daily goals, and get you started with rewards for logging in on Facebook and joining their group or liking them. So you don't have to spend real money on coins if you didn't want to.

And a Leaderboard so you could see how you were stacking up with fans around the world.

If you never got the chance to play this, or are feeling Nostalgic, TouchGameplay on YouTube has a video with 15 minutes of gameplay.
youtube
And shout out to Pokémon Trainer Ryan on Youtube for attempting to archive the music.
youtube
Although its no longer in the app store if you have an older Android phone, or download the Vmos app and run an older version of Android on your phone, you may still be able to download and play the game HERE. This is a fully downloadable app, but I have not been able to verify if it still works disconnected from the developers.

All my love to game archives that do their best to preserve old mobile games.

Okay; I HARDLY know how Tumblr works, or write on this app, but I was so sweetly tagged by the impossibly talented: @23fallencomets. I won’t be tagging anyone, but if you see this and have any WIPS I am absolutely advocating for you to post them for this little series and for you to tag me! This is very late, but I've finally got some time to post a little something, so take this.
Consider this the hintest of teasers for one of my project fics this summer. :)
(Sandwich) 2k words.
— LOSCAR: Based heavily off of the film “Dinner In America." With punk lead singer Oscar and neurodivergent Logan. SLIGHTLY NSFW.
After dinner, Logan escapes to his bedroom, which exists in a state of suspended animation, frozen in time like a museum exhibit dedicated to the concept of arrested development. The Star Wars posters on his walls are the same ones he hung when he was fourteen—The Empire Strikes Back, mostly, because Logan has always identified with characters who get their hands chopped off and discover that their fathers are evil.
There's a twin bed with a comforter his mom bought at Walmart during a back-to-school sale, blue and gray stripes that were probably fashionable in 2008, when having a Facebook account was still considered cutting-edge technology. A bookshelf holds his collection of racing magazines, issues of Racer and AutoWeek and Karting magazine that he can't bring himself to throw away but can't bear to read anymore, because every page reminds him of when he used to believe he belonged in those pages himself.
It's pathetic, Logan knows this, but it's also the only space in the house that belongs entirely to him. His parents stopped asking about redecorating years ago, stopped suggesting that maybe it was time to "update" his room to reflect his adult status. Logan suspects they're afraid of what they might find if they dig too deeply into his attachment to adolescent nostalgia, afraid of conversations about failure and growing up and what happens when your childhood dreams refuse to die quietly.
Logan lies on his back and stares at the ceiling fan, which makes the same click-click-click sound as the one downstairs. He counts the clicks like meditation beads, trying to find some rhythm or pattern that might make sense of the noise. Click-pause-click-pause-click, sixty clicks per minute, thirty-six hundred clicks per hour, a mathematical progression toward nothing in particular.
The fan has been broken for three years now, wobbling slightly with each rotation, but nobody bothers to fix it because fixing things costs money and hope in roughly equal measure. Logan has googled "ceiling fan repair" approximately fifty-seven times, has watched YouTube videos about blade balance and motor replacement, has even measured the fan to figure out what parts he would need. But research is easier than action, and action requires admitting that you care enough about your environment to try to improve it.
Logan isn't sure he's ready for that level of emotional commitment.
He thinks about Bradley, the kid from today, and his pristine racing suit that cost more than Logan's monthly salary. He thinks about his father's disappointed face across the dinner table, the way his eyes go distant when he talks about racing, like he's seeing ghosts that only he can recognize. He thinks about the stack of unpaid bills on his dresser that grows a little taller each month, despite his careful budgeting and his habit of eating peanut butter sandwiches for lunch to save money.
Mostly, though, he thinks about Oscar Piastri.
The memory always starts the same way—with Logan sitting alone at lunch on the first day of Ocala Karting Summer Camp, picking at a sandwich his mother had made with too much mayonnaise, watching the other kids form groups and alliances with the casual efficiency of children who've never doubted their right to belong somewhere.
Logan had been twelve and nervous, wearing a borrowed racing suit that was two sizes too big and carrying a helmet his father had bought secondhand from a driver who'd given up racing to sell insurance. Everything about him screamed amateur, from his mismatched gear to his anxious habit of constantly adjusting his gloves to make sure they fit properly.
Then Oscar Piastri had appeared at his table like a small, compact tornado, dropping his lunch tray with a clatter and sliding into the seat across from Logan without asking permission or waiting for an invitation.
"You're the new kid," Oscar had said, and it wasn't a question. His accent was thick and unfamiliar, all rounded vowels and sharp consonants that made every word sound like it mattered more than it probably did.
Oscar was everything Logan wasn't—confident to the point of arrogance, comfortable in his own skin in a way that seemed almost supernatural. He had dark hair that stuck up in all directions despite what must have been liberal applications of gel, and eyes that seemed to see everything at once—the loose chin strap on Logan's helmet, the way Logan's hands shook when he held his sandwich, the fact that Logan was trying very hard to look like he belonged when he clearly, obviously didn't.
"Logan," Logan had managed to say, around a mouthful of mayonnaise and anxiety.
"Oscar. You race much?"
"Some. Local stuff, mostly." Logan had tried to make this sound more impressive than it was, but Oscar's expression suggested that his efforts at casual competence weren't entirely successful.
"Right. Well, you look terrified, so you're either new or you're bad. Since you're sitting alone, I'm guessing new." Oscar had taken a bite of his apple with the kind of confidence that came from never having to worry about whether other people liked you. "Want to see something cool?"
And just like that, Logan had been absorbed into Oscar's orbit, pulled along by a gravitational force he didn't understand but couldn't resist. Oscar showed him the secret places around the camp—the spot behind the timing tower where cell phone reception was actually decent, the loose board in the fence that let you sneak out to the convenience store for candy, the best vantage point for watching the stars after lights-out.
But it was the racing that really mattered, the way Oscar could make a kart do things that shouldn't have been possible, coaxing speed and precision from machinery that seemed to respond to his touch like it was alive. Logan had been fast before, but Oscar taught him to be smooth, to think three corners ahead, to understand that racing wasn't just about going fast—it was about going fast at exactly the right moment, about patience and timing and the particular kind of courage that came from trusting your instincts even when your instincts told you to do something crazy.
"Racing's not about forcing the kart to do what you want," Oscar had said one afternoon, after Logan had spun out trying too hard to keep up. "It's about asking nicely."
They spent two weeks as inseparable as camp regulations would allow, sneaking out after lights-out to practice on the wet track in the dark, sharing stolen snacks from the dining hall, talking about everything except the obvious fact that they were both falling into something that felt bigger and more complicated than friendship.
Oscar told stories about Australia, about the go-kart track his uncle owned in Melbourne, about koalas that slept in eucalyptus trees and beaches that stretched for miles without a single person in sight. He talked about his parents' divorce with the casual brutality that children use to describe disasters they don't quite understand, explaining that sending him to Florida for the summer was probably the most civilized thing his parents had done for each other in years.
"I'm gonna be a Formula One driver," Oscar said one night, lying on his back in the grass behind the dining hall, staring up at stars that seemed close enough to touch. He said it with the absolute certainty of someone who had never been told that dreams were luxuries for other people's children.
"Me too," Logan had whispered, and for those two weeks, it had felt possible. With Oscar beside him, everything had felt possible.
"No, you're not," Oscar had said, but he'd said it gently, without cruelty. "You're too nice. Too worried about what everyone thinks. F1 drivers are bastards."
"You're not a bastard."
"Yes, I am." Oscar had turned to look at him in the moonlight, and his face had been serious in a way that made Logan's stomach flutter like he'd swallowed a live bird. "Watch."
And then Oscar had kissed him.
It was clumsy and desperate and tasted like the lemonade they'd stolen from the counselors' refrigerator, all teeth and tongue and the kind of hunger that twelve-year-old boys don't have words for. Logan's first kiss, delivered by a boy who tasted like artificial citrus and possibility, under a sky full of stars that seemed to be witnessing something important.
The kiss lasted maybe five seconds before they both pulled away, breathing hard and staring at each other like they'd just discovered fire or electricity or some other force that could change the world if handled improperly.
"See?" Oscar had whispered, and his voice was barely audible over the sound of cicadas and Logan's heartbeat hammering against his ribs. "Bastard."
Logan had reached for him, wanting more in ways he couldn't articulate, but Oscar was already scrambling to his feet, already backing away. "Oscar, wait—"
Oscar's fist had connected with Logan's jaw before he could finish the sentence. The punch wasn't hard enough to knock him down, but it was hard enough to split his lip and leave a bruise that lasted for a week. Logan sat there on the ground, tasting blood and confusion in equal measure, while Oscar stood over him with his hands clenched and his eyes bright with something that looked like panic.
"Don't," Oscar had said, and his voice cracked on the word like ice breaking under pressure. "Just don't."
He was gone before Logan could ask don't what?, disappearing into the darkness between the buildings like he'd never been there at all. Logan sat in the grass for what felt like hours, touching the tender spot on his jaw and trying to understand what had just happened, what he'd done wrong, why something that felt so right had ended with violence and confusion and the taste of his own blood.
The next morning, Oscar's bunk was empty. His parents had come to pick him up early—family emergency, the counselors said, something about his grandmother being sick in Australia. Logan never found out if that was true or if Oscar had called them himself, desperate for any excuse to put distance between himself and whatever had happened in the grass behind the dining hall.
And he'd stolen Logan's helmet. Logan only realized it was missing three days later, when he was packing his gear to go home. He'd searched everywhere—under his bunk, in the lost-and-found box, even in the dumpster behind the dining hall where he'd found Oscar sitting sometimes when he needed to be alone. But his helmet was gone, and so was Oscar, and Logan never saw either of them again.
For years, Logan wondered why Oscar had taken it. The helmet wasn't anything special—just a basic white Arai with blue trim and a collection of stickers they'd accumulated over the two weeks. A sloth wearing sunglasses that Logan had found in a gas station vending machine. A faded OCALA KARTING decal. The number 81, which had been Oscar's favorite because it was 18 backwards and he'd thought that was clever.
Logan had convinced himself that Oscar kept the helmet as a memento of their friendship, as proof that those two weeks had meant something to someone other than just him. It was a romantic notion, the kind of story Logan told himself late at night when loneliness felt like a physical weight pressing down on his chest.
Now, lying in his childhood bedroom with his hand drifting toward the waistband of his boxers, Logan lets himself remember the good parts. The way Oscar's mouth had felt against his, warm and soft and tasting like summer. The weight of Oscar's hand in his hair, fumbling but eager, like he was trying to memorize the texture. The sound of Oscar's voice in the darkness, low and teasing: You're too nice.
Logan closes his eyes and lets the memory wash over him, lets his hand slip under the elastic of his underwear as he thinks about what might have happened if Oscar hadn't pulled away, if that kiss had lasted longer, if Oscar hadn't gotten scared and ended everything with a punch that Logan still feels sometimes when the weather changes. If they'd grown with one another. Still kept in contact.
He's always been gentle with himself, careful and methodical even in this most private of acts, because Logan has never learned to be rough with anything he cares about.
His breathing gets shallow as he strokes himself slowly, thinking about what Oscar's crooked smile might look like now at their current age, about the way his accent made Logan's name sound like music and what it'd sound like now with maturity, about the night when everything felt possible and nothing felt impossible.
Logan bites his lower lip to stay quiet, a habit left over from years of sharing thin walls with family members who don't need to know about his private moments. He's close now, close enough that his vision starts to blur around the edges and his free hand grips the comforter tight enough to leave wrinkles.
He's so lost in memory and sensation that he doesn't hear the footsteps in the hallway until it's too late, doesn't register the sound of his bedroom door opening until Dalton's voice cuts through his private moment like a fire alarm.
"Logan, you decent? We're going—oh, fuck, sorry."
Logan scrambles for the bedsheet, his face erupting in heat that has nothing to do with the broken air conditioning. His heart hammers against his ribs like it's trying to escape, and for a moment he can't breathe properly, can't think of anything except the horrible awareness that his brother just witnessed his most private ritual.
"Jesus, Dalton, knock!" The words come out strangled and higher than usual, and Logan pulls the sheet up to his chin even though it's approximately three seconds too late for modesty.
"My bad." Dalton doesn't look remotely sorry. In fact, he looks like someone who's just won the lottery and can't wait to spend the money. There's a grin spreading across his face that Logan recognizes from childhood, the same expression Dalton used to get when he caught Logan doing something embarrassing like crying during Bambi or practicing dance moves from music videos when he thought no one was watching.
"But this is actually perfect timing," Dalton continues, stepping fully into the room and closing the door behind him with a soft click that somehow makes everything worse. "Because we're going out."

The Elon Musk–backed America PAC has spent thousands of dollars advertising on the Elon Musk–owned social media platform X to support former president Donald Trump’s campaign. According to X’s political ad disclosure data, between July 8 and October 1 the America PAC ran 59 ads, costing more than $166,000 and yielding, per X’s metrics, 32,058,424 impressions. All of the ads targeted swing states: Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, and Wisconsin.
Musk first endorsed Trump immediately following the attempted assassination against the former president in July in Butler, Pennsylvania. Since then, Musk has said he is “all in” on his support for Trump, and appeared at a second rally in Butler earlier this month. “This election is the most important election of our lifetime,” said Musk at the time. “This is no ordinary election.” It was one part of Musk’s—and the America PAC’s—efforts to turn out voters for Trump in swing states.
The America PAC has been a driving force behind voter mobilization for the Trump campaign, developing an app to help canvassers target likely voters. (The effectiveness of this strategy remains to be seen, with canvassers reportedly faking voter contacts at scale.) The PAC has offered $47 to any swing state voters who would agree to sign a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments. Musk has also said he will give out $1 million a day to voters who sign the petition, in a move election law expert Rick Hasen described as “clearly illegal.”
Federal Election Commission filings released last week revealed that Musk has funneled $75 million into the PAC since July, dwarfing other Silicon Valley donors who back the former president. Musk has also donated to the Building America’s Future PAC, which has run anti–Kamala Harris ads aiming to dissuade Black and Muslim voters, particularly in swing states.
Musk has also used his ownership of X to further promote Trump. In August, Musk sat down with Trump for an interview hosted on X Spaces. He has also promoted and reshared conspiracy theories pedaled by the Trump campaign, including by alleging that the Democratic Party would allow undocumented immigrants to vote in order to win the election.
In one ad that ran between September 27 and October 1, the post read, “Georgia is filling up with illegal immigrants: In just 3 years, Kamala released more illegal immigrants into our country than almost 3x the population of Atlanta. End Kamala's Border Chaos and request your ballot for President Trump today.” The ad links to the website votesafe.org, which is paid for by the America PAC and where voters can look up their voter registration status and request ballots.
All of the PAC’s ads are linked to the @theamericapac X account, which links to the PAC’s website. Before his appearance at Trump’s October rally in Butler, Musk had appropriated the @america handle for the America PAC.
The America PAC has also invested heavily in ads on Meta’s platforms, Facebook and Instagram, running more than 250 ads in October alone.
A representative from X did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Why a Digital Marketing Agency Beats Freelancers in 2025
In a fast-moving digital world, businesses are confronted with a tough choice in 2025: to hire a freelance individual or a full-service digital marketing organization? As with many other decisions in our lives, there are advantages and disadvantages to hiring a freelancer versus going with an agency. In the case of the task at hand, it was possible that the freelancer could be cost-effective and/or flexible in their approach than an agency. However, considering all things digital marketing can change so quickly, I feel it is better for the business to go with a scalable agency. After all, digital marketing is not a process with a beginning and an end; it is best viewed as a process with a process over the long-run to receive all advantages out of your work. And a freelancer cannot provide that. This blog will discuss why hiring a digital marketing agency is the best option in 2025, and how on the whole provide far more comprehensible digital marketing options than a single person can provide.
1. Full-Service Digital Marketing Solutions
Unlike freelancers, who often specialize in one or two areas, a digital marketing company in Jaipur like W3Teck offers a complete suite of digital marketing services:
SEO in Digital Marketing
Social Media Marketing Services
Google Advertising and PPC Services
Web Design & Development
Mobile App Development
Ecommerce SEO and management services
These integrated solutions mean your campaigns are aligned, your messaging is consistent, and your brand grows across all channels.
2. Expertise Across Multiple Domains
Digital marketing today is far more than SEO or running a few ads. It’s about combining skills in copywriting, meta-ads, Google search ads, ecommerce SEO, Amazon account management services, and app development.
Agencies employ experts in each of these domains:
SEO Specialists and SEO experts to manage rankings
Certified google ads specialist and Facebook Ads Managers
Web designers and app developers for performance and UX
Content strategists and copywriters for better engagement
A freelancer simply can’t match this level of specialization and teamwork.
3. Scalable Campaigns and Reliable Delivery
A common problem with freelancers is bandwidth. As your marketing needs grow, a freelancer might struggle to keep up. Agencies, on the other hand, are built to scale.
Need to run a YouTube video promotion, design ecommerce websites, and launch meta ads simultaneously? An agency has dedicated departments to execute all these tasks without delay or compromise.
4. Data-Driven Strategies and Transparent Reporting
Leading digital marketing agencies use data to drive decisions. With access to tools like:
Google Analytics
Fb Ads Manage
Heatmaps and conversion tracking tools
Advanced PPC Advertising dashboards
agencies ensure every rupee spent is measurable and optimized. Freelancers may not offer real-time reporting or insights, and you may end up flying blind.
5. Access to Premium Tools and Platforms
Premium tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, SurferSEO, and paid ad intelligence platforms can cost thousands monthly. The best seo agencies and marketing firms already have access to these tools and include them in your package.
This gives your brand a competitive edge without the extra expense.
6. Better ROI with Strategic Campaigns
Digital marketing companies craft long-term strategies tailored to your business model. Whether you’re an ecommerce company, a mobile app developer, or a local service provider, agencies analyze your market, customer personas, and competitive landscape to build data-backed campaigns.
Freelancers often focus on task execution, not on holistic brand strategy or revenue-driven campaigns.
7. Compliance, Quality Control, and Brand Safety
2025 brings stricter regulations around user data, AI-generated content, and ad compliance. A social media marketing company in India must now ensure:
Ad policy compliance across platforms
Ethical usage of data and AI
Unified brand messaging and tone
Agencies have compliance teams or SOPs in place. Freelancers rarely do.
8. Reliability and Project Management
Agencies operate with structured workflows, deadlines, and deliverables. With project managers, account strategists, and performance analysts on board, you never have to chase someone for updates.
Freelancers might go unresponsive during personal emergencies, vacations, or if overloaded. Business momentum suffers.
9. Cross-Channel Marketing Mastery
Marketing in 2025 demands omni channel presence. A single campaign may involve:
Google Search Ads
Facebook Meta Ads
Instagram Marketing
LinkedIn Ads
Amazon and Flipkart marketing
Email automation
Web push notifications
Only an agency can build and manage this ecosystem seamlessly.
10. Long-Term Partnership for Business Growth
Freelancers often operate on a short-term, task-based model. the best marketing agencies however, align their success with your business growth.
They constantly refine strategies, test new platforms, and update tactics to ensure consistent revenue and brand value growth.
11. Dedicated Support, Consultation, and Strategy Building
A reputable agency doesn’t just execute campaigns — they become your marketing partner. Expect dedicated support, regular consultations, strategic brainstorming sessions, and periodic reviews. These consultations lead to better budgeting, brand positioning, and faster decision-making, giving your business the edge it needs.
12. More Cost Efficient in the Long Run
Freelancers may offer cheaper services phase by phase, but agencies are often much more efficacious in the end. Their process is repetitive, which cuts down on the chances of mistakes, keeps lengthy revisions down, and makes for better conversions. Plus, agencies can often find separate ways of productizing their services to offer you tools, reports and consulting that you would pay extra for a la carte if you were contracting separate freelancers to accomplish these things independently.

Having a Digital marketing agency is no longer just a nice to have, it is a must have for any business looking to exist or grow within digital in 2025. Dropshipping: Start an E-commerce Business Without Inventory in 2025
Meta Description:
Learn how to start an online store using the dropshipping business model. Discover how to sell products without inventory and build a profitable e-commerce business in 2025.
Introduction: Why Dropshipping Is Still a Top Business Model in 2025
In today’s digital economy, more people are looking for ways to start a business with low risk, low overhead, and high scalability. That’s where dropshipping comes in. With the dropshipping business model, you can start an online store and sell products without inventory, making it one of the most accessible and profitable e-commerce opportunities in 2025.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned entrepreneur, dropshipping allows you to build a brand and generate income online—without ever having to handle physical products.
What Is the Dropshipping Business Model?
Dropshipping is an order fulfillment method where a store doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a customer places an order, the seller purchases the item from a third-party supplier—usually a wholesaler or manufacturer—who ships it directly to the customer.
As a result, you never need to hold inventory or deal with shipping logistics.
Key Benefits:
Low start-up costs
No inventory management
Wide product selection
Work from anywhere
Scalable and automated processes
How to Start an Online Store Using Dropshipping
Step 1: Choose a Niche
Select a niche you’re interested in with high demand and manageable competition. Popular niches in 2025 include:
Home fitness equipment
Eco-friendly products
Pet accessories
Personal development tools
Tech gadgets
Skincare and beauty
Step 2: Find a Dropshipping Supplier
Use platforms like:
AliExpress
DSers
Spocket
Printful (for print-on-demand products)
Zendrop
Choose suppliers with fast shipping times, reliable customer service, and quality products.
Step 3: Build Your Online Store
Create a website using platforms like:
Shopify (most popular for dropshipping)
WooCommerce (WordPress plugin)
BigCommerce
Design a clean, user-friendly store with optimized product pages, trust signals, and secure checkout.
Step 4: Import Products and Set Pricing
Use apps like DSers or Oberlo (for Shopify) to easily import products from suppliers into your store. Set prices with profit margins in mind, and don’t forget to factor in shipping and transaction fees.
Step 5: Launch and Market Your Store
Use digital marketing strategies to attract customers:
Facebook and Instagram ads
TikTok organic or paid content
Google Shopping ads
SEO for product descriptions and blogs
Influencer marketing partnerships
How to Sell Products Without Inventory Successfully
The key to success in dropshipping lies in the customer experience. Since you don’t control fulfillment, you must:
Choose reliable suppliers
Provide accurate shipping timelines
Offer excellent customer service
Use automated tools to track orders and follow up with customers
Also, focus on building a brand—not just a store. Use unique product descriptions, custom packaging (if possible), and high-quality imagery to create a trustworthy online presence.
Pros and Cons of the Dropshipping Business Model
Pros:
Easy to launch and manage
No need for warehousing or upfront bulk purchases
Test multiple products with little risk
Can be operated from anywhere
Cons:
Lower profit margins than traditional e-commerce
Less control over shipping times and inventory
Higher competition in some niches
Customer service responsibility still falls on you
Final Thoughts: Is Dropshipping Worth It in 2025?
Absolutely. If you want to start an online store without the risk and hassle of managing inventory, dropshipping is still one of the most effective business models available. With the right tools, suppliers, and marketing strategy, you can build a successful e-commerce business that earns income around the clock.
The sooner you start, the faster you can test ideas, learn the ropes, and scale a business that works for you.

Top 5 Cross-Platform App Development Frameworks you need to Know in 2023

Cross-platform app development is the process of creating apps that can run on multiple platforms, such as Android, iOS, web, and desktop, with a single codebase. Cross-platform app development can offer many benefits for businesses, such as faster time to market, lower development cost, wider reach, and easier maintenance. However, cross-platform app development also comes with some challenges, such as performance issues, platform-specific features, and user experience differences. Therefore, choosing the right cross-platform app development framework is crucial for the success of your app project.
In this article, we will introduce you to the top 5 cross-platform app development frameworks that you need to know in 2023, and how they can help you create amazing apps for your business.
Flutter
Flutter is Google’s UI toolkit for building beautiful and native apps for mobile, web, and desktop from a single codebase. Flutter uses Dart as its programming language, which is a fast and expressive language that supports both object-oriented and functional paradigms. Flutter also uses a declarative approach to create UIs, which means that developers can describe what the UI should look like, rather than how to create it. Flutter also provides a rich set of widgets, animations, themes, and navigation features that can help developers create stunning and responsive UIs.
React Native
React Native is Facebook’s framework for building native apps for Android and iOS using React, a JavaScript library for building user interfaces. React Native allows developers to use the same codebase for both platforms, while still leveraging the native capabilities and features of each platform. React Native also uses a declarative approach to create UIs, which means that developers can describe what the UI should look like, rather than how to create it. React Native also supports hot reloading and live reloading, which means that developers can see the changes in their code without rebuilding or restarting the app.
Ionic
Ionic is an open-source framework for building hybrid apps for mobile, web, and desktop using web technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ionic allows developers to use the same codebase for multiple platforms, while still accessing the native features and functionalities of each platform through plugins. Ionic also provides a rich set of UI components, themes, icons, and animations that can help developers create beautiful and consistent UIs.

Connecting the dots of recent research suggests a new future for traditional websites:
Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered search can provide a full answer to a user’s query 75% of the time without the need for the user to go to a website, according to research by The Atlantic.
A worldwide survey from the University of Toronto revealed that 22% of ChatGPT users “use it as an alternative to Google.”
Research firm Gartner forecasts that traffic to the web from search engines will fall 25% by 2026.
Pew Research found that a quarter of all web pages developed between 2013 and 2023 no longer exist.
The large language models (LLMs) of generative AI that scraped their training data from websites are now using that data to eliminate the need to go to many of those same websites. Respected digital commentator Casey Newton concluded, “the web is entering a state of managed decline.” The Washington Post headline was more dire: “Web publishers brace for carnage as Google adds AI answers.”
From decentralized information to centralized conclusions
Created by Sir Tim Berners-Lee in 1989, the World Wide Web redefined the nature of the internet into a user-friendly linkage of diverse information repositories. “The first decade of the web…was decentralized with a long-tail of content and options,” Berners-Lee wrote this year on the occasion of its 35th anniversary. Over the intervening decades, that vision of distributed sources of information has faced multiple challenges. The dilution of decentralization began with powerful centralized hubs such as Facebook and Google that directed user traffic. Now comes the ultimate disintegration of Berners-Lee’s vision as generative AI reduces traffic to websites by recasting their information.
The web’s open access to the world’s information trained the large language models (LLMs) of generative AI. Now, those generative AI models are coming for their progenitor.
The web allowed users to discover diverse sources of information from which to draw conclusions. AI cuts out the intellectual middleman to go directly to conclusions from a centralized source.
The AI paradigm of cutting out the middleman appears to have been further advanced in Apple’s recent announcement that it will incorporate OpenAI to enable its Siri app to provide ChatGPT-like answers. With this new deal, Apple becomes an AI-based disintermediator, not only eliminating the need to go to websites, but also potentially disintermediating the need for the Google search engine for which Apple has been paying $20 billion annually.
The Atlantic, University of Toronto, and Gartner studies suggest the Pew research on website mortality could be just the beginning. Generative AI’s ability to deliver conclusions cannibalizes traffic to individual websites threatening the raison d’être of all websites, especially those that are commercially supported.
Echoes of traditional media and the web
The impact of AI on the web is an echo of the web’s earlier impact on traditional information providers. “The rise of digital media and technology has transformed the way we access our news and entertainment,” the U.S. Census Bureau reported in 2022, “It’s also had a devastating impact on print publishing industries.” Thanks to the web, total estimated weekday circulation of U.S. daily newspapers fell from 55.8 million in 2000 to 24.2 million by 2020, according to the Pew Research Center.
The World Wide Web also pulled the rug out from under the economic foundation of traditional media, forcing an exodus to proprietary websites. At the same time, it spawned a new generation of upstart media and business sites that took advantage of its low-cost distribution and high-impact reach. Both large and small websites now feel the impact of generative AI.
Barry Diller, CEO of media owner IAC, harkened back to that history when he warned a year ago, “We are not going to let what happened out of free internet happen to post-AI internet if we can help it.” Ominously, Diller observed, “If all the world’s information is able to be sucked up in this maw, and then essentially repackaged in declarative sentence in what’s called chat but isn’t chat…there will be no publishing; it is not possible.”
The New York Times filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft alleging copyright infringement from the use of Times data to train LLMs. “Defendants seek to free-ride on The Times’s massive investment in its journalism,” the suit asserts, “to create products that substitute for The Times and steal audiences away from it.”1
Subsequently, eight daily newspapers owned by Alden Global Capital, the nation’s second largest newspaper publisher, filed a similar suit. “We’ve spent billions of dollars gathering information and reporting news at our publications, and we can’t allow OpenAI and Microsoft to expand the Big Tech playbook of stealing our work to build their own businesses at our expense,” a spokesman explained.
The legal challenges are pending. In a colorful description of the suits’ allegations, journalist Hamilton Nolan described AI’s threat as an “Automated Death Star.”
“Providential opportunity”?
Not all content companies agree. There has been a groundswell of leading content companies entering into agreements with OpenAI.
In July 2023, the Associated Press became the first major content provider to license its archive to OpenAI. Recently, however, the deal-making floodgates have opened. Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp, home of The Wall Street Journal, New York Post, and multiple other publications in Australia and the United Kingdom, German publishing giant Axel Springer, owner of Politico in the U.S. and Bild and Welt in Germany, venerable media company The Atlantic, along with new media company Vox Media, the Financial Times, Paris’ Le Monde, and Spain’s Prisa Media have all contracted with OpenAI for use of their product.
Even Barry Diller’s publishing unit, Dotdash Meredith, agreed to license to OpenAI, approximately a year after his apocalyptic warning.
News Corp CEO Robert Thomson described his company’s rationale this way in an employee memo: “The digital age has been characterized by the dominance of distributors, often at the expense of creators, and many media companies have been swept away by a remorseless technological tide. The onus is now on us to make the most of this providential opportunity.”
“There is a premium for premium journalism,” Thomson observed. That premium, for News Corp, is reportedly $250 million over five years from OpenAI. Axel Springer’s three-year deal is reportedly worth $25 to $30 million. The Financial Times terms were reportedly in the annual range of $5 to $10 million.
AI companies’ different approaches
While publishers debate whether AI is “providential opportunity” or “stealing our work,” a similar debate is ongoing among AI companies. Different generative AI companies have different opinions whether to pay for content, and if so, which kind of content.
When it comes to scraping information from websites, most of the major generative AI companies have chosen to interpret copyright law’s “fair use doctrine” allowing the unlicensed use of copyrighted content in certain circumstances. Some of the companies have even promised to indemnify their users if they are sued for copyright infringement.
Google, whose core business is revenue generated by recommending websites, has not sought licenses to use the content on those websites. “The internet giant has long resisted calls to compensate media companies for their content, arguing that such payments would undermine the nature of the open web,” the New York Times explained. Google has, however, licensed the user-generated content on social media platform Reddit, and together with Meta has pursued Hollywood rights.
OpenAI has followed a different path. Reportedly, the company has been pitching a “Preferred Publisher Program” to select content companies. Industry publication AdWeek reported on a leaked presentation deck describing the program. The publication said OpenAI “disputed the accuracy of the information” but claimed to have confirmed it with four industry executives. Significantly, the OpenAI pitch reportedly offered not only cash remuneration, but also other benefits to cooperating publishers.
As of early June 2024, other large generative AI companies have not entered into website licensing agreements with publishers.
Content companies surfing an AI tsunami
On the content creation side of the equation, major publishers are attempting to avoid a repeat of their disastrous experience in the early days of the web while smaller websites are fearful the impact on them could be even greater.
As the web began to take business from traditional publishers, their leadership scrambled to find a new economic model. Ultimately, that model came to rely on websites, even though website advertising offered them pennies on their traditional ad dollars. Now, even those assets are under attack by the AI juggernaut. The content companies are in a new race to develop an alternative economic model before their reliance on web search is cannibalized.
The OpenAI Preferred Publisher Program seems to be an attempt to meet the needs of both parties.
The first step in the program is direct compensation. To Barry Diller, for instance, the fact his publications will get “direct compensation for our content” means there is “no connection” between his apocalyptic warning 14 months ago and his new deal with OpenAI.
Reportedly, the cash compensation OpenAI is offering has two components: “guaranteed value” and “variable value.” Guaranteed value is compensation for access to the publisher’s information archive. Variable value is payment based on usage of the site’s information.
Presumably, those signing with OpenAI see it as only the first such agreement. “It is in my interest to find agreements with everyone,” Le Monde CEO Louis Dreyfus explained.
But the issue of AI search is greater than simply cash. Atlantic CEO Nicolas Thompson described the challenge: “We believe that people searching with AI models will be one of the fundamental ways that people navigate to the web in the future.” Thus, the second component in OpenAI’s proposal to publishers appears to be promotion of publisher websites within the AI-generated content. Reportedly, when certain publisher content is utilized, there will be hyperlinks and hover links to the websites themselves, in addition to clickable buttons to the publisher.
Finally, the proposal reportedly offers publishers the opportunity to reshape their business using generative AI technology. Such tools include access to OpenAI content for the publishers’ use, as well as the use of OpenAI for writing stories and creating new publishing content.
Back to the future?
Whether other generative AI and traditional content companies embrace this kind of cooperation model remains to be seen. Without a doubt, however, the initiative by both parties will have its effects.
One such effect was identified in a Le Monde editorial explaining their licensing agreement with OpenAI. Such an agreement, they argued, “will make it more difficult for other AI platforms to evade or refuse to participate.” This, in turn, could have an impact on the copyright litigation, if not copyright law.
We have seen new technology-generated copyright issues resolved in this way before.2 Finding a credible solution that works for both sides is imperative. The promise of AI is an almost boundless expansion of information and the knowledge it creates. At the same time, AI cannot be a continued degradation of the free flow of ideas and journalism that is essential for democracy to function.
Newton’s Law in the AI age
In 1686 Sir Isaac Newton posited his three laws of motion. The third of these holds that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Newton described the consequence of physical activity; generative AI is raising the same consequential response for informational activity.
The threat of generative AI has pushed into the provision of information and the economics of information companies. We know the precipitating force, the consequential effects on the creation of content and free flow of information remain a work in progress.
