This cleanser contains 150 ml (5.07 oz) and has a pretty noticeable natural mugwort scent, it's quite astringent actually.

The cleanser is a gel cleanser and the gel has kind of a thick consistency. It also has a natural greenish tinge. It spreads well but it doesn't really lather too much and it's best to apply to wet skin to get it to spread on the skin.

Once it's rinsed off, it does leave a nice hydrated finish.

Recommended use is to create enough later with a sufficient amount of cleanser on your wet face and hands. Gently massage over your entire face and then rinse off with lukewarm water. The cleanser is cruelty-free, pH balanced, and free of artificial coloring, fragrances, and ethanol. It’s also vegan-friendly. After using, it's important to note, the natural mugwort fragrance is strong, I didn't notice any irritation but if you're sensitive at all to fragrance, though I actually do think this is a great option for sensitive skin, it is best to find a different product. The cleanser is extremely gentle and it does say it can remove sunscreen and makeup effectively. I found that I still needed to double cleanse, I'd suggest this to remove light makeup and non-water resistant sunscreen. It doesn't lather too much which I did find a little disconcerting, I love when I can get a good lather to really work into my skin. So that's really down to personal preference. There are some great ingredients in this cleanser and it leaves my skin looking and feeling more hydrated and evens out my complexion. If you've tried any other products from their mugwort line, you would definitely enjoy this. I'd recommend this to anyone, especially those with sensitive skin and dry skin.

Hi of course I can!! I’ve been asked about non-oily ones that aren’t super creamy, so please see below (prices in dollars as most of my followers seem to be in America, but these can also be found globally!).

So obviously there’s a lot to consider when buying sunscreen, such as your skin type, if you want a tinted or sheer sunscreen, and what coverage you would like. I would always recommend SPF 30 at least, as that protects you against 97% of UVB rays. Choosing a sunscreen also depends on your budget, so I’ve listed a few affordable options below then some more expensive ones.

also I’m passionate about cruelty-free cosmetics and skincare so all the products listed below are certified cruelty-free by Cruelty-Free Kitty (Supergoop hasn’t been yet, but it is certified cruelty-free by PETA and Leaping Bunny).

Affordable options ($10-$20 dollars):

Yes To Avocado Fragrance-Free Daily Mineral Lotion SPF 15

I love this brand and it's so affordable! This is only SPF 15 (I wish they’d bring out an SPF 30 one!) but it’s completely fragrance-free so it’s great for sensitive skin, and it still protects you against 93% of sun rays and is broad-spectrum so it protects against both UVA and UVB rays. Plus its zinc oxide level is 14% which is great! And it feels so lovely, like silky avocado butter. Highly recommend (just make sure you reapply throughout the day because of its low SPF level)!

Thinksport Mineral Everyday Face SPF 30

This is another great budget option! Very smooth, lightly tinted and gives you good protection at SPF 30. (Side note, don’t go for the SPF 50 face & body one as I’ve heard it’s really pasty even under makeup!!)

Australian Gold Tinted Face Lotion SPF 50

This is a bit more expensive but you get 90ml! And it’s lightly tinted, which gives you a little coverage if you don’t feel like wearing foundation. It does contain shea butter which gives it this lovely, pillowy feel but it’s not greasy and from reviews I’ve read it doesn’t cause breakouts (and it includes red algae which is amazing for skin!). I love this one!!

*another good option could be The Ordinary’s SPF 30 sunscreen. The Ordinary is a great brand, but I’ve heard it can be really white and pasty.

More expensive options ($20-$40):

Supergoop! Unseen Screen SPF 40

One of the best sunscreens I’ve ever used!! It feels so light and clean, and it’s completely invisible so you can wear it by itself or under makeup. Plus it’s fragrance-free and has anti-oxidants! It’s so good that Kylie Jenner’s skincare line has even tried to rip it off!!! If you can afford any sunscreen from this brand, I’d HIGHLY recommend it.

Juice Beauty Oil-Free Moisturizer SPF 30

This is a great sunscreen! It’s cruelty-free, organic, vegan and contains anti-oxidants. AND it’s oil-free which means it’s fantastic for skin that’s prone to acne or breakouts. You just need to apply a bit of elbow grease to make sure it really sinks into the skin and isn’t visible (also some people don’t like the smell due to the organic ingredients but I didn’t have an issue with it personally).

Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel SPF 50

This is a Korean sunscreen and I’m in love with it!! It’s so lightweight and gives you this beautifully dewy look without looking greasy. And it contains hyaluronic acid which is great for hydrating your skin! Isntree have a lot of lovely products including cleansers and serums so if you’re interested in Korean skincare like I am, you should definitely check out this brand!

*there are other great options like Dr Sam and EltaMD, but they’re not cruelty-free so I haven’t included them here <3

I don't know about locations but Goddess Gardens Organics Sunscreen is vegan, cruelty-free, eco-friendly packaging, and reportedly (anecdotally, don't quote me) reef-safe, so if you were to go swimming with the sunscreen on, at the absolute least, it would not do as much damage as regular sunscreen. Not sure if this would be an option for you or Anon but came across this a couple years ago and tracked it back down to let y'all know :)

Fragrance-free product. Cruelty-free, black-owned brand.

AVEENO Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer - Not the cheapest drugstore option but it’s still an option under $20 and it’s a good one. Oat, centella, and feverfew extracts to soothe sensitive/sensitized skin, and as it is a “gel” consistency, it’s lightweight so it’s great as a standalone moisturizer for those with oily skin. Drier skin types may need to layer or use a heavier moisturizer. No fragrances, no nonsense. Plus the packaging is pretty.
