Broken Record [P.G6]
Tous les mêmes by Stromae
Warnings: Angst 🤭?????
Word Count: 1.1k
A/N: In my anti-Cupid era. COPE.
Part II
——————————————————————————
First occurrence:
“Pablo Páez Gavira! Your socks are on the stairs again!” You yelled out, picking up Pablo’s sweaty training socks. A few weeks after moving in together, Pablo’s habits started to worsen. Socks left and right. Shirts left and right. Unkept personal space, hair from his beard trimmer sprinkled in the bathroom sink. Every single time, an argument erupted.
“Pablo, your socks are still on the stairs. I asked you to put them away hours ago. I’ve already done laundry, I’m not doing a load just for your socks.” Your words echoed against the four walls of your room, Gavi’s focus being solely on his phone. “Oye, I’m talking to you!” You snapped your fingers at him.
“Mh, yeah. Thanks for the laundry, amor.” He said, barely looking up from his phone.
You sighed, exhausted from picking up after him. “Why do I stay?” You asked yourself.
Calling Aurora, you sobbed as you explained her brother’s behaviour.
“I don’t know what to do anymore. He’s just… a slob. Dirty dishes everywhere, dirty clothes. Tissues and towels randomly discarded. I don’t recognize the state of our home anymore. And I can’t keep cleaning for the both of us anymore, not as he undoes everything the second I’m done.”
But Aurora’s words were only excuses. She made you feel hysterical; unreasonable for feeling the way you did. She idolized Pablo’s actions, refusing to see the emotional and physical strain his behaviour had on you. Sobbing in bed, you turn away from Gavi, refusing to sleep face to face anymore.
Second occurrence:
The house was a mess. With his injury Gavi was always home. You, on the other hand, were juggling between your university classes and your internship, leading to an easier than normal exhaustion rate. Finally pulling up to your street, you prayed that Gavi had remembered to call the plumber. Opening the door, your face fell as you saw the state of the kitchen.
“Pablo…?” You called out for him.
“Gaming room.” His eyes were glued to the screen, barely greeting you as you came into the room.
“What happened in the kitchen?” You asked, a twinge of exhaustion in your voice. You were bracing yourself for one of Pablo’s nonchalant answers.
“Wanted to cook, but the dishwasher was broken. And I was too tired to do the dishes by hand. Why didn’t you tell me the dishwasher was broken?”
“Please tell me this is a joke…Pablo I told you to call the plumber, because the dishwasher is broken. The plumber goes on vacation for the next 3 weeks. That’s 3 more weeks with a broken dishwasher.” You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose.
“Dunno what the big deal is… You can just wash them by hand. Besides, how was I supposed to know to call him?”
“I left you a reminder on your phone, a voicemail and a handwritten note in the kitchen.” You said, slamming the door close.
Instead of catching up on the reports for your internship, you spent that night cleaning up Gavi’s culinary mess. You were finally putting away the final dishes when Hurricane Páez Gavira came and undid everything, leaving you in a state of emotional distress. “Why do I still do this?” You asked yourself.
Third occurrence:
Pablo Gavi. That was the name everyone in the media was talking about.
Gavi, rising midfielder, caught going out with a social media influencer.
Pablo Páez Gavira is simply a man.
Y/N Y/LN unable to keep her man away from other women.
Is infidelity a requirement to being a football player?
Headlines had your head spinning. Yes, Gavi has been caught going out with an influencer notorious for breaking couples. But you weren’t worried, not anymore. Your relationship was barely functioning at this point, with you and Gavi sleeping in separate rooms. In the eyes of the media, you and Gavi were still dating. But in private, you had gone from lovers to strangers in the span of a few months. You weren’t going to lie to yourself, the news stung, but something inside of your soul burst. A feeling of hope overtook you. You started packing your bags, leaving behind anything that reminded you of Gavi. After everything you had put yourself through in order to save the sinking ship that was your relationship; after the nights spent praying for a better partner, you finally had your way out. Gavi would forever be painted as the villain in your relationship, the reason why you had split, the reason why you had changed. And you didn’t mind, not one bit.
“Where are you going?” Pablo’s voice interrupted you.
“Away.” You coldly answered. He shuffled closer, picking up the hoodie he had given you for your 2nd anniversary.
“You forgot to pack this.” He handed it to you. It took a lot of self control to not smack it out of his hands.
“Keep it. I have no use for it anymore.” You lifted your suitcase from the floor, bringing it to the hallway.
“What if you get cold?”
“Why do you care, mh? Why do you suddenly care? Is it because you were caught with that influencer? Was it worth it? Was she worth it? I loved you, Pablo. I really did. But you proved yourself to be a selfish person, and an ever more selfish lover. I’m leaving,” you held back tears. “ I’m leaving this city, you, this house. Whatever happens to you in life, good luck. Maybe we weren’t meant to workout, but I would have loved to be treated with some much deserved respect in this relationship. I hope this failure serves as a lesson for your future relationship.”
“Respect? I respected you-” Pablo started arguing, but was cut off by your voice toppling his.
“You never respected me. I was left to pick up the slack, rain or shine; tired or not; I was the sole caretaker for this house. I cooked for us, I not only cleaned up after myself, but after you! For things I shouldn’t even have to remind you! Like your fucking socks, or the goddam dishes, or to call the fucking plumber. You couldn’t even bother Pablo. And I grew tired. So maybe you cheating off with this influencer isn’t that bad of a thing, because now I have an excuse to say to your face as to why I’m leaving you. Have fun being the villain in this story, Pablo, because I’m done.” You picked up your remaining bags and loaded them off in the trunk of your car.
Pablo was still standing in the doorway, his face closed off. He couldn’t do anything besides watch your car leave the driveway, the portal closing behind you for the last time.

The Mayor - The End
Lucy Bronze x Ona Batlle
Tumblr media
Alternate Universe: Mayor and Architect
Words: 2000
Masterlist
———————————————————————
"No, you can't knock down this wall!"
Jules looked at me with a puzzled expression in front of the model that stood before us.
"It’s a load-bearing wall!" I added.
Jules sighed loudly, slumping dejectedly onto the backrest of the kitchen chair.
"But without that, the main room is too small!" he grumbled.
"But without that, the floor above will collapse!" I teased him.
Hugo, who was cooking in front of us, started laughing, openly mocking his brother.
"You’re not going to build my house, bro!"
"Yeah, yeah! Go back to your stove and make us something disgusting again!" he shot back, offended.
"It’s funny, you didn’t think the tiramisu was that bad yesterday!" Hugo retorted.
In one swift move, Hugo threw a dish towel at his brother’s face, who immediately threw it back even harder.
"Oh guys, you’re not four years old anymore!" I thundered to call a timeout.
Hugo shrugged and went back to his culinary duties. Turning back to Jules, I tried to help him with his model.
"Look, if you take this piece and knock down part of this wall…"
"Let him think for a bit, how else can the student surpass the master?"
That was Lucy’s mischievous voice, which suddenly rang out. She came out of the bathroom with wet hair and had just overheard our conversation as she joined us. She walked towards the kitchen, glanced at the model, and placed her hand on my shoulder, gently moving it up to my neck.
"But Jules, don’t make this beautiful house collapse!" she added.
"Not you too, Mom!" Jules replied with such a desperate tone that it triggered a collective laugh in the kitchen.
Two years had passed since that fateful evening.
Jules had entered an architecture school and was about to take his second-year exams. I knew he would pass without any issues—he was very talented, even if he made a few mistakes out of audacity, always attempting new projects.
Hugo had joined a famous culinary school after spending a year in law school, mainly to please his parents. He had hated it, just as I had predicted, and I had managed to convince Lucy to let him pursue his passion—cooking, which he did brilliantly. He had moved to Paris to follow this training, while Jules had stayed with us at first. Later, he moved into a shared apartment with his friends in the city center this year. Hugo had come over for the weekend, and the boys were celebrating their 19th birthday with friends on that sunny afternoon in May.
I had grown very close to them, even becoming accomplices. Jules had gradually accepted the situation, although he struggled with some remarks at high school, and the fact that I moved in with him so quickly had somewhat upset him. But we had managed to build a real relationship of trust, as time went by. He had resumed playing the piano with me, something he had given up on years ago, and was even going to do his two-month internship with my firm this summer.
As for Lucy and me…
An ocean of love defying many obstacles.
Nothing was easy. Slowly, rumors spread around town: "She lives with a woman," "A younger woman, she left her husband for her," "She even moved in with her," "She’s the architect Ona Batlle!" "The Mayor is with a woman!"
We had to face many stares, some whispered comments.
Generally, I feigned indifference. Lucy had occasionally gotten upset by some comments in her political profession.
Some journalists even wanted to interview me. It was the first time that a politician of her stature had publicly appeared like this, and she didn’t hide it, which naturally fueled curiosity. But while we didn’t hide it, we didn’t want to go to the other extreme either and expose our privacy.
My friends and family were incredibly supportive. My parents adored Lucy and made her feel very comfortable in the family. Lucy’s friends accepted her well, even though they were initially surprised.
The most difficult part had been with Lucy’s family. It’s always easier to brush off comments from strangers, but family—that hit the heart. Her parents had struggled at first. They learned about the situation in town quickly, before Lucy had had the chance to tell them herself, which likely fueled their bitterness. I had only met them a year later, in a rather cold and tense encounter, almost freezing. I had to keep my composure—it was for Lucy. But things had improved lately, and they were willing to see me. The atmosphere, though not warm, had become more friendly. The only one still resistant was her older brother, who didn’t miss an opportunity to throw jabs at me. He couldn’t accept that his little sister was with a woman. I tried to avoid seeing him as much as possible, even though I had to during family meals and other Christmas gatherings. The rest of the time, Lucy would go alone to see her brother. It was about finding compromises to be as happy as possible.
Happy and in love, we were, wildly.
That’s how we got through the tough moments—exhaustion from certain attitudes or comments, some evenings when Lucy came home crying in my arms after talking to her family, after reading some insulting letters… Some nights when I, too, felt overwhelmed and hurt, her arms were there to comfort me.
We had never questioned our relationship, neither of us.
We also learned to laugh at it all, to take it with humor. One evening, Lucy came home with several dozens of letters addressed to her that she had received at the town hall, all separated into three different bundles.
She handed them to me.
"The first one is full of homophobic letters, insults! The second is letters of support from people saying it’s good to see public figures living openly, that it helps them too. The ones that warm the heart, kind of…"
"And the third?" I asked, curious.
A smile spread across her face.
"Letters from half-perverted people interested in us both, if you know what I mean!"
"I’m relieved to see that pile isn’t the biggest!" I replied, joining Lucy’s laughter.
There it was, simple. We had to move past it, laugh, live.
She had shown me her native island, Corsica, while I had taken her to the Basque Country, where I grew up. Whenever we could, though it was difficult with her schedule, we would escape to different places, flying off for weekend getaways in new European cities.
We lived our love freely.
Lucy came back to the kitchen a few minutes later, her hair dry, dressed in a cream-colored suit that suited her perfectly. We had an official lunch at the town hall that Saturday noon with the President of the Region, an influential man close to the Prime Minister. I had gotten used to attending certain official lunches and dinners, though it depended on my schedule and mood.
The political world was something of an enigma to me, even though I was passionate about it. I had trouble with the way some people operated and the pervasive hypocrisy that could exist. In this somewhat peculiar world, anything was allowed. I knew this, but I had learned it even more by being beside Lucy.
"Boys, I’m counting on you for your afternoon by the pool and the barbecue tonight! Don’t mess things up! By the way, how many of you are there?"
As Jules said "30", Hugo, in the same breath, said "Only about 15".
That, combined with Hugo’s glaring look at his brother, made me laugh immediately, which Lucy definitely did not share.
"Are you kidding me, Hugo?" she said, narrowing her eyes.
Hugo shrugged.
"No, it’s Jules exaggerating, we’re between 15 and 30! More like 15 than 30…"
Jules tried to recover, wanting to back up his brother.
"Yeah, exactly! I’m bad with numbers, I always overestimate!"
I couldn’t stop laughing at their weak acting. Hugo tried looking at me for support while Lucy pointed her finger at them.
"I’m warning you guys, I don’t want any wild behavior when we come back tonight with Ona!"
Hugo then put on his charming face, the one he knew so well.
"No, Mom, we’ll be the best sons …", then he turned to me, "…the most adorable sons-in-law in the world!"
I raised an amused eyebrow as Jules innocently asked.
"And what time exactly are you coming back?"
"Surprise, gentlemen! We can come back whenever we want!" Lucy immediately chimed in.
Jules put on his most dejected look before adding:
"Live your life, you’re not going to live off us, are you?"
"Very funny, Jules!" I replied with a wink. "Clue for the time: We’re visiting Alexia at the hospital after lunch!"
"Ah yes!!! She just gave birth!" Jules said with excitement.
Alexia had indeed just given birth to her second child, a little boy named Leo. I was going to meet him for the first time with Lucy today, and we were both excited. Lucy had teased Alexia when she entrusted me with her projects before going on maternity leave: "No women, just men’s projects," she had said, referring to her first pregnancy, which had been the reason for our meeting. "I’m not jealous, by the way!" Lucy loved saying she wasn’t, or at least, that’s what she liked to make people believe.
"And you’re coming back straight after?"
Jules didn’t let up and pressed on with his investigation.
"No, I managed to convince your mom not to play the police here by inviting her to dinner tonight!"
"So that’s why the invitation, you were in cahoots with them!" she said with a feigned angry look.
"Exactly, I was bribed by the boys, and it’s going to cost them dearly!"
The boys smiled at my remark, giving me a look full of gratitude.
It was now my turn to get ready before heading to the lunch. I took my time in the shower, slipping into a navy blue dress, tying my blonde hair in a fishtail braid.
Lucy gave me a sparkling wink when she saw me arrive, whispering a "splendid" discreetly.
Before leaving, I gave one last look at the boys.
"Don’t forget, your friends' friends are not necessarily your friends! You could end up with 50 people like that…"
"Don’t worry!" the boys replied in unison, before Hugo added, "Thanks for taking her to the restaurant!"
"The pleasure is all mine!" I replied with a wink, before giving one last piece of advice: "And take it easy on the vodka!"
I joined Lucy in the driveway.
"Do you think we’ll find the house still standing?" she asked as we stood by the car.
"Don’t forget, it’s solid! And if when we get back it’s a remake of Project X, I’ll give you a friends' discount on the renovations!"
She smiled at me, stepping forward to plant a kiss on my lips.
It was when she stepped back that a high-pitched scream rang out.
"What is this..." she exclaimed, surprised, turning her head.
It was Coco, our puppy, somewhat upset by the heel that had just stepped on him.

Spaghetti and Meatball(s)
Fandom: American Housewife

Summary: Oliver wants to surprise Cooper...what could go wrong?
Requested by: anonymous

Wednesday, April 18, 8:32AM
The subway cart was packed full, Oliver’s lanky frame was being folded into each other as more and more businessmen boarded the sub. He hugged his bookbag tight against himself. Their large frames taking over Oliver’s personal space which was seemingly nonexistent. That was the one thing he missed about Westport: the space….and the quiet…and how people actually cared…lack of traffic…okay, maybe he misses Westport more than he likes to admit.
“59th Street, Columbus Circle,” the automated subway system rang out. Oliver started pushing his way to the exit, but his attempts were unsuccessful: no one was budging as there was nowhere to go. He just sighed and prayed to the New York City rats that enough people would move.
As the train slowed to a stop, everyone swayed forward and stumbled when it came to a stuttering stop. When he heard the door woosh open and the muttering of the crowd pick up, he tried to go forward but was pushed to the side and everyone rushed in and out. All he could do was watch with despair as the subway door closed and started moving forward: he was late to his internship…again.
Fuck.
The whole way to the next stop, Oliver cursed himself and his choices. As much as he loved the city, it was a survival game. Cooper and him both found schools they love in New York City: Oliver graduated a semester early last December and Cooper was working his way to the top of the culinary world. It was a huge change for both of them, but they faced it together. Cooper’s dad paid for their studio apartment tucked away so that helped relieve so much but as they both started making their own money, they started to pay for half the rent. As much as they loved having their apartment paid for, they wanted to be fully independent. Four years later, everything was still okay.
The subway train sputtered out the next stop and Oliver was ready. This time he pushed forcefully to the door ignoring the grunts and hateful comments. Once the door opened again, he jumped out and ran up the stairs. He took a deep breath once he reached the street and looked around, okay he was not that far from his job.
Oliver set a fast pace weaving in and out of the crowd. As he walked, he saw a bare alleyway that gave him a clear view of his workplace. There was a few dumpsters that littered the pathway but he decided to take his chances; he was ready to fight anyone after the day he has had already. He puffed out his chest and held his breath as he started his journey through.
His confident stride slowed at every little sound: a bird chirping, trash falling, wind blowing an empty beer can. Suddenly, a fallen trashcan rolled out on the street right up to Oliver. “What the…” Oliver said slowly walking to the opening, his heart beating out his chest, he was not as tough as he thought. He squinted his eyes into the trashcan and saw something furry?
“A dog?” Oliver questioned out loud making the animal snap their head up. Oliver started to see features: the dog was scruffy looking, mainly white with light brown (almost ginger) spots placed randomly. If he had to make an educated guess, he would say Jack Russell Oliver expected the dog to become territorial over their food but when the dog saw him, they started wagging their tail and smiling. This caused Oliver to immediately relax.
“Hey buddy, what are you doing out here?” Oliver chuckled when the dog stood up and placed its paws on Olivers leg. He squatted down slowly trying so hard not to scare the dog. “Oh my gosh, aren’t you the cutest?” Oliver exclaimed, cute aggression coming out but that was quickly replaced with sadness.
Oliver couldn’t help the negative thoughts plaguing his mind: was this little dog abandoned? Was it born into this? Was it hurt? Was it scared of thunderstorms? Tears pricked Oliver’s eyes and the dog tilted its head and started licking Oliver’s hand. His heart shattered: here is this dog with so much bad in their life yet they are comforting Oliver.
Cooper.
This dog reminded him of Cooper! Cooper was on his own trying to figure it out, Cooper kissed the back of Oliver’s hand, Cooper would always comfort Oliver even though he had a bad day. Oliver needed to bring this dog home and have Cooper fall in love with the dog. It was perfect! Oliver even though the dog kind of looked like Cooper, the spots were almost identical match to Cooper’s hair. The soft, optimistic eyes they both shared melted Oliver’s heart.
Lately, Cooper had been asking Oliver all these questions about getting a pet, so Oliver figured that Cooper wanted a pet. Despite Oliver telling Cooper that he prefers cats, this dog was perfect. More negative thoughts creeped in, what if this was someone’s dog who ran away or got lost. Oliver examined the dog for a collar or anything to hint towards an owner.
“Do you want to come home with me?” The dog wagged its tail as if it was responding. “Oh, you do?” Oliver chuckled and picked up the dog despite every alarm of cleanliness rang. His dress shirt and pants could be washed, He pulled out his phone with his other hand and called in to work today and looked for the nearest vet to check on the dog.

Wednesday, April 18, 6:39AM
Today was the day Cooper was surprising Oliver with a cat. He had been asking Oliver questions for the past month, he tried to convince Oliver that they were just curiosity questions: do you want a cat? Which kind? How many? Okay, Cooper admits it is suspicious plus he found that he was not smooth at all with surprises. He was so bad; Oliver was starting to ask if Cooper wanted a pet. The idea of getting Oliver a cat arose when he noticed Oliver started sending him more and more cat videos and then ‘if I had a cat, I would do this! Oh, if I had a cat, I would treat her so right!”
Cooper quickly caught on that Oliver wanted a cat, Oliver tried to deny the allegations but would light up anytime they talked about owning a cat. Through conversations and questioning, Cooper knew that Oliver wanted a girl, black cat, not a kitten. How fitting, Cooper thought.
Cooper spent countless hours researching and calling and looking for the perfect cat. There was multiple nights he would pretend to fall asleep until Oliver did then stayed up researching. He not only was looking for a cat but also the best brands, toys, catnip, litter, anything about how to properly care for a cat.
Cooper had found Meatball on the local shelter page last week and immediately messaged them. He visited a few times and finally signed the papers after he was cleared. Meatball was a black cat with brown eyes, just like Oliver. When he visited Meatball for the first time, the cat was playing alone and seemed uninterested in Cooper. As Cooper talked to the owner, the cat snuck up to Cooper and was smelling him timidly.
Cooper acted like he didn’t notice as to not scare the cat which seemed to work as Meatball started tangling between Cooper’s legs. They played for over an hour though Cooper decided the second he saw the cat that he was getting her. He filled out the paperwork and waited for the okay. Oliver noticed Cooper’s excitement that day but didn’t question it too much.
“What…what are you doing up?” Oliver questioned sleepily from the island counter as he rubbed his eyes. “Why are you making breakfast at…6:45am? Come back to bed.” Oliver whined, he was dressed only in Cooper’s loose boxers.
“Because mi amor, I love you and wanted to make you breakfast before you start the day.” Cooper told Oliver like it was obvious. “Now, go get ready!” Cooper shooed him out as he finished the food. He set the island up as a buffet and placed some decorations to make it seem more formal, he asked the Alexa to play 50’s romantic melodies. Such a sap.
Oliver finally came to the kitchen twenty minute later just as Cooper set the last plate down; chocolate chip pancakes. Oliver tried to keep up his tough boy persona, but a bashful blush spread across his face.
“You are such a sap,” Oliver muttered before walking up to Cooper. “Oh my gosh, you still have this!” Oliver laughed as he traced the apron that said ‘Kiss the chef’ Cooper was wearing. Katie had got Cooper the apron as a going away gift.
“Well, I think you should listen to the apron.”
Oliver smirked wrapping his arms around Cooper’s shoulders and pulled them tight for a kiss. The two sat down and ate together in comfortable silence, the music danced around them providing a comforting atmosphere.
“Okay, I have my internship until noon then I have meetings where I just sit there and look pretty then I have to fill the paperwork from the meeting then I will be home probably around 5,” Oliver ran over his plans again hurriedly, maybe he got distracted by his beautiful boyfriend and his beautiful lips. “I have to go, Coop! I am going to miss the train!”
Cooper watched as Oliver ran out the door. He cleaned up the kitchen and got ready to leave. ID? Check. Money for Meatball? Check. Little travel cage for Meatball? Check. Best boyfriend ever? Check! He ran out the door and to his car in the parking lot. He cringed as he saw how busy the streets were.
The car roared to life and Cooper started his drive to the shelter. He got there swiftly despite the New York City traffic. Luckily, Cooper was heading the opposite direction of most the traffic. The shelter staff happily greeted Cooper, he didn’t know who was more excited about the adoption: him or staff or Meatball. As soon as Meatball saw Cooper again, she meowed loudly.
Cooper thanked the staff and let them say their teary good-byes to Meatball. “Hi Meatball! I’m your new dad.” He smiled at Meatball who was visibly and understandably nervous. “Okay, we have to go pick up food for me and you. I am surprising my boyfriend with, well, you tonight.” Cooper explained though he knew Meatball wouldn’t understand. Though, Meatball actually seemed to calm a bit and started batting the little mouse toy.

Wednesday, April 18, 9:42AM
“What?” Oliver bluntly asked.
“Look, I am sorry kid. Protocol, you can drop off the dog and come back at 3 when we are done.”
“But it is only 9am!” Oliver whined, the dog looked up at him and whined, sensing Oliver’s stress. “Okay, fine, put us down.”
“Okay, just go ahead and fill this out and we will call you when we are ready for you!” The receptionist smiled and handed Oliver a clip board. There was only one question that truly stumped him: name of pet. What does he put? Does the dog already have a name? Should Oliver name the dog or should Cooper? Is the dog a boy or girl?!
Oliver sighed and wrote down ‘Doggy’ in the name of pet section, that will work for now. He cringed at himself for writing Doggy instead of Dog but he can’t change it now. “Alright, Doggy, I promise I will be back.” He felt a pang of anxiety when the door shut behind him, will Doggy be okay? What if Doggy already had a home??? Oliver doesn’t think he could handle that, he had already decided that he was going to shop for Doggy while he waited. He decided that Doggy was coming home with him one way or another.
He walked downtown until he saw some pet boutique, perfect. He spent over two hours there talking to the owner who also has a Jack Russell. He told Oliver pretty much everything he needed to know; he even gave the kid a discount. Oliver was overwhelmed with joy; he didn’t realize how lost he was in owning a dog. Honestly, neither he or Cooper ever owned a pet: Bradford’s and Otto’s were not big on pets.
Oliver checked Cooper’s location and saw he was on some random road, maybe he was on his way to his culinary internship; senior year had been very busy for them. He decided he was going to pick up dog food (the store owner gave him a list to choose from, all varying in price) and hide everything in the apartment. He reasoned that if everything was already in the apartment, Cooper could not say no.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
Wednesday, April 18, 10:53PM
Cooper’s car powered down and he grabbed Meatball’s cage. There was no way that he have Meatball live like this right now. He looked around for a solution and found one of Oliver’s purses (satchel. Satchel Oliver reminds him every time), it could work. He took Meatball out while explaining the plan, Meatball sat happily in the bag.
Cooper browsed up and down the isles as Meatball sat patiently in the satchel. Luckily the carts had a place for children to sit which allowed Cooper to pet the cat as he shopped. He eventually found cat food that rated number one on at least 17 websites, he was hoping for 20 but 17 works. He also bought everything he might need: harness, leash, toys, catnip, food for months, treats, shampoo and conditioner, even little cat posters to maybe help her feel more welcome.
He noted the total; he had no idea owning a cat would be so much work and money, but it was all worth it. He couldn’t stop imagining Oliver’s face when he surprises Oliver. “Now Meatball,” Cooper started as he finished putting the rest of the bags in the car. “We are going to my favorite grocery store and we are going to get ingredients to make Oliver’s favorite dish…” A realization washed over him and he started laughing, Meatball just looked at him confused.
“Oh my gosh! His favorite meal is spaghetti and meatballs…and your name is Meatball! This is great!” Cooper couldn’t stop giggling to himself, how perfect is this working out! He finished his shopping list among a few other little things, and packed the car tight. He saw he had a message from Oliver saying his was going to be back around 4:30pm instead.
“Let’s go, Meatball.”

Oliver raced to the vet after he hid everything in the apartment, he prayed Cooper would not dig too much at the pile of dirty laundry in the closet. “And you are here for…Doggy?” the receptionist checked. “One moment please!” They shuffled to the back and returned with an eager Doggy. It seemed Doggy made a good impression as everyone gave a bittersweet good-bye.
“Okay, here is your special boy.” They handed Oliver the leash. “So, the vet found no signs of a chip and we checked all missing dog reports, not a single match. Looks like Doggy is yours!” Oliver didn’t even realize he was holding his breath, this was amazing!
“O-okay!” Oliver kneeled and ruffled Doggy’s fur, he was still in shock that Doggy was actually his.
“We did give him some of the basic vaccines and a much-needed bath, so he is all caught up and ready to love and play.” Oliver couldn’t help but smile even harder. “Oh! We did find that Doggy responds to Spaghetti.” Doggy even peaked up at the word expectedly.
“Spaghetti,” Oliver said with awe. He thanked everyone and even made a yearly check-up appointment. “Let’s go home, spaghetti.”

“Oop, looks liked your mommy is going to be home sooner than we thought!” Cooper exclaimed, they had got home 30 minutes ago, and Cooper had set up everything. He had ordered a cat tree a few days ago and it came today thankfully. He set the small cat jungle in their living room next to a window in case Meatball just wanted to look around.
Cooper set up the flowers he bought in a jar along with a card on the counter hidden from the entrance, he truly wanted to surprise Oliver. He started on the spaghetti and meatballs with some indie song playing in the background, the soft melodies filled the apartment. Meatball seemed to find herself at home quickly, she became obsessed with one of Oliver’s shirts and had pulled it in the cat house.
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
Wednesday, April 18 4:19PM
“Okay, so make sure to give him your best puppy eyes,” Spaghetti looked up at Oliver from his spot on the floor. As soon as they left the vet, Oliver put Spaghetti’s new harness and clipped it on his new leash. Oliver immediately snapped a photo, Spaghetti looked so cute in his new gear. “Perfect! Here goes nothing.”
He shoved his key in the door and heard hurried shuffling inside, “Hey…Coop. So uhm,” The two made their way inside slowly, luckily their apartment was covered in rugs, so Spaghetti’s nails didn’t clack against the hardwood. Once he rounded the end of the hallway into the kitchen he froze, oh shit.
“Wha…Coop…you…a cat!” Oliver started to cry, he felt so overwhelmed in a good way. Cooper stood there with his mouth dropped to the ground, what?
“Ollie, who is that?” Cooper laughed as he pointed to the dog who was just panting with joy.
“Oh uhm,” Oliver sniffed and wiped his eyes roughly. “So, this is Spaghetti…” He told Cooper everything: how he found spaghetti, the vet, what is in the closet, how they are never getting rid of him.
“Wow, sounds like you had quiet the day,” Cooper spoke in a high pitched voice to the dog, cat still in hand. “Well, this is Meatball…” It was Cooper’s turn to tell Oliver how he had been planning this for months and everything him and Meatball did today. As Cooper talked, Meatball reached for Oliver. Oliver’s heart swelled with overwhelming love for this little cat he just met, he took Meatball into his arms. Meatball immediately relaxed and started playing with one of Oliver’s buttons.
Cooper turned and pulled Oliver to face him before kissing him deeply and softly. “Thank you, Coop. I love Meatball.” Oliver smiled at Cooper; he couldn’t believe how lucky he was. They introduced Spaghetti and Meatball to each other which went perfectly, they sniffed each other until Meatball kissed Spaghetti. Cooper and Oliver just watched them interact, even snapping a few photos.
Cooper pulled away to Oliver’s confusion and knelt down, “Oliver Otto, you are perfect in every way. You are so selfless, willing to help anyone or anything.” Cooper nodded to Spaghetti. “You are the most hardworking person I have ever met, once you have a goal, you are finishing that goal. I wake up every day so inspired by you just being you. You, Oliver Otto, have granted me the best gift of all: enjoying life.”
“Cooper,” Oliver was already crying.
“I not only want to enjoy the rest of my life with you but I want to experience life with you: the happy, the sad, the angry, the hurt, all of it. So will you, Oliver Otto, marry me?”
“Of course, Cooper!” Oliver exclaimed, pulling Cooper up to hug him. They held each other with so much joy vibrating between the two of them, they have never felt more connected. “This is the best day ever.”
“And to top off the night, I have made your favorite…” Cooper busted out laughing, the couldn’t believe it.
“What?”
“I made spaghetti and meatballs, and our animals’ names are Spaghetti and Meatball!” Cooper exclaimed from the floor where he had to kneel because he was laughing so hard. Oliver joined him once he realized all the joy they felt today coming out as laughter. They spent the rest of the night just talking about their day over and over again; they could not get over how wonderful their life was.
Cooper had prepared Oliver an over-the-top bath with bubbles, candles, wine, music, even chocolate cover strawberries from Oliver’s favorite café. They shared the bath together before finally going to bed. They curled up with each other and two new members joined them. They fit together like they were a puzzle: Oliver curled up on Cooper’s chest, Cooper’s one arm wrapped around Oliver and the other Spaghetti who was curled up, and Meatball on Cooper’s chest where Oliver caressed her until they both fell asleep.
Wednesday, April 18, a day to remember for the new Bradford-Otto family.

Thorn In My Side, Rose In My Hand (Part 12)
Pairing: Rafe Cameron x Reader
Warnings:  N/A
Pronouns: She/Her
Word Count: 2.4K
Summary: Applying to university can be stressful, especially when you might have to go long distances. Sweet Birthday surprises are always the best kind.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“Have you guys made a Common App log-in yet?” Mason questions the group, shoving a hand full of chips in his mouth. They all nod, except for Lacey. Y/N vocalizes her answer, “Yeah, I also made a UCAS one. You know, the one for UK universities.” Y/N, Mason, Rafe and Lacey are all sitting around the Y/L/N’s kitchen island working on their university applications. Rafe is signing into Common App, but he brings one hand down to discretely feed Sparky, who is begging for food under the counter. “Sparky! Are you guilting Daddy into feeding you? You know you aren’t allowed any more treats today, Bubba,” Y/N chastises, picking up the puppy and placing him on her lap. Rafe puts his hands up in defence, “Hey. Don’t blame me. I didn’t know that he wasn’t allowed. Look what you did, Bubba, now I’m in trouble with Mommy.” Sparky excitedly tries to get into Rafe’s lap and get pets from his father. “Where are you guys applying to?” Lacey asks. She isn’t applying to any universities because she is planning on going to culinary school and working different internships.
Rafe looks at the list he formulated, “The Ivies, Stanford, UCLA, a few other American ones, Oxford, Bath, Cambridge, University of London, and Middlesex.” Shock crosses Y/N’s face when she realizes he is applying to a few UK universities as well. “Cameron, you know you don’t have to apply to UK unis just for me.” He looks up from his computer and smiles. “I know, my rose. But I want to,” he promises to her. He doesn’t continue the conversation, instead going back to his application and eating his cookie. “My rose, could you read over my essay, please?” He slides over his laptop and watches as she brings it closer to her. She scans the first line of his essay: My Girlfriend, My Hero. As she continues to read it over, she feels tears try to break free from her tear ducts.
He writes about how he is inspired by Y/N’s good doing and hard work, which pushed him to try to be a better person. He talks about how this caused him to focus more on his swim training, which led to his incredible win. He speaks honestly about how she helped him realize he wants to start thinking more about his future and how he isn’t hundred percent sure if university fits into that puzzle. It is filled with a few cliches and it is a little cringy, but it warms her heart that he chose to write about her. She makes comments on grammatical errors and where he needs to alter the writing, then hands the laptop back to him. “This is really good, Cameron. I’m honoured that you chose to write about me. Although, I’m not sure if this is what the university is really looking for,” she says, giving him a kiss on the cheek. Rafe shakes his head and wraps his arm around her, “If they don’t accept me because of my essay, then it’s like I wrote: I’m not too sure about going to uni anyways. I’ll take it as a sign that I’m meant to be your house husband. I am the one that can cook, anyways.” Y/N giggles at his joke, trying to keep her guilt and worry down.
——
Lacey heads out to go shadow The Wreck’s kitchen and Mason goes up to his room to watch the latest season of whatever he is binging, so Y/N and Rafe make their way to the gazebo with Sparky. She sits down on the love seat and he sets himself beside her. Sparky jumps up on her lap and places his head on Rafe’s lap. “What’s up?” he whispers to her with his lips placed on her hairline.
“What do you mean?”
“I know something is wrong, my rose. You forget that I know you inside and out.”
“What if we can’t do long distance?”
“Of course, we can do long distance. Plus, that’s why I applied to some UK unis, so we can be together.”
“But I don’t want you to throw your life plan off track just because my dream is to go to England. You wanted to go to UNC and then work for your dad.”
“Yeah, but our relationship made me realize that I’m not okay with just sitting back while my dad plans my whole life story for me. I want a say in what happens and if that means going to school in the UK or not going at all, then so be it. I think it’s the universe's way of putting me where I belong.”
“I didn’t know you felt that way. I’m glad you realized that before you made an irreversible life decision.”
He nods in agreement with her and pulls her into his lap, making sure that Sparky doesn’t get hurt, “You want to know what I felt insecure about? When we fought the night of my swim comp, my dad told me that maybe it was better I found out sooner rather than later that I couldn’t comfort you. However, Halloween night, helped me realize that wasn’t true. I was able to help you out of your panic attack without having to be told what to do and what was happening.”
“You really thought that? I’m glad you know now it is not true at all. Even if you couldn’t comfort me, you always knew how to make me feel better. Like setting up movie nights, baking me cookies or giving me popsicles.”
“True, it was a little silly. But now we both know we were wrong with what we thought and it is okay to feel the way we do. Talking will help us fix these feelings.”
She revels in his embrace and listens to the soft music he put on for them. They decide to spend the rest of the evening in the gazebo together, talking about their fears and how they can help each other get past them.
——
November 4 is the day Rafe Cameron entered the world and this year, the day is when he is going to enter adulthood. Rafe hadn’t planned anything special for the day; he only wanted to spend the day with the twins and Sparky. Y/N has other plans for the special day. He is always doing things to surprise her and make her feel loved, so she decided to throw him a surprise party. It isn’t going to be as big as the ragers he throws; instead, it is going to be on a smaller scale with all the people he loves and who love him. A pool party at the Y/L/N’s is the only way to go even with the slight autumn breeze. The heated pool will be sure to warm the partygoers. Everyone is setting up the decorations while Y/N is in charge of getting Rafe to the party location.
“I just need to stop by the house before we go to the restaurant. I forgot my wallet and I am not going to let you pay for your own birthday lunch. We have to use the back entrance because my dad is getting the locks change,” she informs, walking him toward the pool. He takes her hand into his, “You know I really don’t mind paying for lunch. All I want is to spend time with you. Although, seeing our baby would be nice. One of these days you are going to have to let him stay at my place.” Y/N couldn’t answer his question because the party guest yell “Surprise!” at their appearance. Rafe’s genuine reaction is a delight. “You did not plan all of this without me knowing. You can’t keep secrets from me.” She gives him a massive grin, “I know. I don’t know how I kept it so secret. I hope you like it.” “I love it, thank you.”
Rafe and Y/N take time and mingle with all of the guests. At some point, Sarah and Wheezie pop up in front of the pair with an instant camera to take a picture of them. After all that, Y/N and Rafe strip down to their bathing suits with the plans of going for a dip. He wraps his arms around her waist and places his chin on her shoulders as they look out towards the pool. An idea pops into his mind; a Cheshire cat smiles spreads across his face. He unwinds his hands from their position and quickly pushes her into the pool. The sudden surrounding of water surprises the girl. She looks at him with annoyance and reaches a hand out for him to help her out. “It’s the least you can do,” she pouts, waving her hand to exaggerate her point. He falls for her trick, taking her hand.
She uses all of her strength to pull him into the water with her. Y/N laughs her head off as he surfaces from the water. “Why does this feel familiar?” he inquires, swimming closer to his girlfriend. She wraps her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck, “Because this was the start of the dominion fall that lead to me falling for you. That movie night was my favourite make-up of yours.”
“Well, I’m glad I decided to be a dick and pushed you in,” he jokes, giving her a sloppy kiss on the cheek. She brings her lips close to his ears to whisper, “I have your gift in my room. I want to give it to you in private though. Maybe after cake?” “That sounds like a plan.” The evening is spent in the pool, playing chicken, marco polo, watching the boys try to show off on the diving board and many more activities. Aunt Millie brings over Franklin and Bella after their naps, ready to play. “Come on, Bells. You can do it!” Rafe encourages from inside the pool. He watches the young girl nervously make her way toward the end of the diving board with her life vest on. She looks at him with trust in her eyes and sees his outstretched arms ready to catch her then jumps into them. He catches the girl and brings her over to the shallow end where Franklin and Y/N are waiting.
“That was amazing, Bells. You did so great!” she praises the little girl, giving Bella a kiss on the cheek. Bella looks at her cousin with a smile and her face quickly changes to remembrance, “Oh, Rafe. I want you to open your gift.” Bella hops out of the pool and waddles her way over to the table with the gifts. Rafe hops out of the pool to dry himself off and takes Franklin out of Y/N’s hand so she can follow him out. Bella makes her way over to him with a wide smile on her face. She hands it over to him and watches as he opens it. Inside is a watch with Lighting McQueen on the face of it. It is obviously a children’s watch and probably not very expensive, but the look of joy on Bella’s face makes his heart swell. “I picked it out myself. Do you like it?” she confides. He picks her up into her arms and presses a kiss to her hair, “I love it. It’s so cool. I love Lightning McQueen.” He puts on his watch and sees Lacey beckoning him over as she places the candles on the cake.
He goes over to where she is with Y/N, Franklin and Bella in tow. He looks down to see the blue icing on the cake that says “Wow, you are getting old.” It is a definite sign Lacey is the one who made the cake. His eyes are instantly drawn to the cookies on the dessert table because he knows Y/N is the one who baked them. The party guest all gather around to sing happy birthday. They cut the cake and Y/N settles herself with two slices of cake onto Rafe’s lap on the patio chair. He takes the plate out of her hand, taking the fork into his as well. He holds up a cake-filled fork for her and as she moves her mouth closer to the fork. He takes the opportunity to bring the plate closer to her face too and smashes the cake into her mouth and face. “Ugh, Cameron,” she groans, taking a napkin to wipe it off. He brings them to a stand and starts to bring her upstairs, “Isn’t this a good excuse to go upstairs to your room?” Y/N gives him a confused look then nods once she puts two and two together.
She has him sit on the window sill and she goes to her desk to get his gift. “Close your eyes,” she orders when her back is turned. Rafe obeys and holds his hands up with his palms facing up. He feels a weight being placed on them and opens his eyes. The wrapping paper is white covered with roses and a purple bow on top. He opens the gift, making sure to be careful with the paper. The first thing he finds is a scrapbook with his name and the date range from his birthday to the day before his current birthday. He opens it up to see pictures of his growth in chronological order. He finds photos from every milestone that he had. “If you go to the back, there is a section on the start of your relationship,” she notifies him, helping him turn to the page. There was in fact a part dedicated to the two of them with all of his favourite pictures of them. He smacks his lips against hers. “This is the best gift ever. I love it! Thank you,” he thanks her. “There is more to the gift.” He puts the scrapbook down to see a leather journal underneath. His initials are imprinted on the front and the pages are completely empty.
“It’s a journal for you to document your life as an adult. Now, you have something that documents your childhood and to document your adulthood.” He looks at her with adoration in her eyes as he realizes the amount of time and effort she put into his birthday gift. “These are amazing. Thank you, my rose. Let’s go back to the party now. Can I keep these up here?” “Of course, let’s go back down.” The pair rejoin the party with dopey smiles on their faces.

Rank the heroes on how good their sleep schedule is. The highest having the most consistent and god-tier sleep schedule there is and the lowest being needed to knock-out cold just for them to sleep
Tumblr media
Takuya: My sleep schedule is fine.
Daisuke: Takki, do ya have a part-time job or something tho?
Takuya: Of course I have! I’m studying and training to be a professional soccer player after all!
Takato: And you live in Italy now, right…?
Takuya: Yup!
Daisuke: But we’re in Japan right now, so… How can you not get… Y’know, jetlag?
OG Taichi: Uh Daisuke you also travel around the world in seconds and never had that problem before…?
Daisuke: Huh, didn’t I tell y’all? World travel via the Digital World is not that bad… I think.
Takuya: Wait, you asked me a question and won’t even let me answer that?! 💧
Daisuke: Ya know, it’s like… The atmosphere of the Digital World is different from the human world’s atmosphere so the whole jetlag thing doesn't happen that often!
Takato/OG Taichi: Oooh…
Takuya: That makes no sense tho…
Masaru: The question wasn’t about traveling, you’re going off-topic 💧
Takuya: It was Daisuke who started it!!
Daisuke: My question does have to do with the question! Because your body has to readjust to the current time and it might make you feel exhausted or something!
Takato: Oh, that’s right.
Takuya: [muttering] At least no one is asking me why I moved to Italy tho…
Tagiru: Uhh… My sleep schedule is fine! At least now!
Takato: Ah, you had that strange dream every time you fell asleep, right?
Tagiru: Yup! And I couldn’t sleep well, It was terrible.
Daisuke: I think the younger-ones get to have a more balanced and healthy sleep schedule like the older-ones here… [sighs]
OG Taichi/Takato: Haha… 💧
Takuya: Seriously, my sleep schedule is fine too! What’s wrong with y’all?! What’s makin’ the oldies be soooooooooo messed up?!
OG Taichi/Daisuke/Takato: A ton of things, actually…
Tagiru: ? What’s wrong guys?
OG Taichi: A lot, actually. I’m working at a special department for the digimon at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and there’s a lot of work regarding a certain incident happening back home… You know, big things. And also…
Daisuke: I’ve been stuck for almost a whole year in your and Taiki’s world and I probably got kicked out from my culinary classes, might have lost my internship with a ramen restaurant and…
Takato: Someone said in the future artists will be replaced with AI and then my job as freelancer designer will end up doomed. So I’m concerned that…
Takuya: Wow folks… Could you… lighten it up a little here?
Daisuke: What do ya mean?!
Takuya: I know it’s hard, but… You all need to think about your health first! If you don’t relax a little bit, you might not even find the solution for your problems and it will make you even more worse.
Masaru: He’s right, and you three know it.
OG Taichi: I never expected Takuya to tell us something like that.
Takuya: W-what?! 💢
Daisuke: Hey… Workin’ hard is good but TOO HARD is bad, right? Takki’s right, we need to chill!
Tagiru: The newest heroes from different futures are also fighting their own battles too! We’re their predecessors, we MUST give them a good example!
Takato: Yes, we’re their seniors after all.
Masaru: Alright, but have you seen the other spiky headed kiddo?
Tagiru: You mean Taiki-san?
Masaru: Yup.
Tagiru: Ah, he had some stuff to do and– Oh. You mean HE needed to listen to that lesson too, right?
Tumblr media
Masaru: Yup, because he’s probably the only of the youngest heroes who had screwed up his sleep schedule and is deep down in this rank thing.
Everyone: . . .💧

Unveiling Hotel Management: Gateway to Global Roles
Tumblr media
Understanding the Scope of Hotel Management
Hotel management is a dynamic and multifaceted field that prepares individuals for careers in hospitality, tourism, and service industries. It encompasses everything from managing hotel operations to customer service, event planning, culinary arts, and beyond. As global travel and tourism continue to grow, hotel management has become an appealing career path for students seeking both local and international opportunities.
Udaipur, known for its rich cultural heritage and tourism-driven economy, has emerged as a significant hub for hospitality education. Students in this city have access to various specialized programs such as a Diploma in Front Office & F & B in Udaipur, Diploma in Bartender, and comprehensive training in F & B in Udaipur, preparing them for roles in both domestic and international hospitality sectors.
Core Areas of Study in Hotel Management
Hotel management education typically includes several key disciplines, each aimed at building expertise in specific operational areas. These include:
Front Office Operations
The front office is the face of any hotel. Training in this area emphasizes guest relations, reservation systems, check-in/check-out procedures, and communication skills. A Diploma in Front Office & F & B in Udaipur provides foundational knowledge to manage guest services efficiently, often integrating basic management and interpersonal skills that are vital for career progression.

Bartending and Beverage Management
The rise of fine dining and luxury hotels has created increased demand for skilled bartenders. A diploma in bartender, F & B in Udaipur  focuses on mixology, alcohol service regulations, customer interaction, and beverage inventory management. With both technical and artistic components, this training offers a unique blend of creativity and precision, making it a rewarding option for students looking for a specialized career.
Career Opportunities in Hotel Management
Hotel management offers a wide range of career paths, both domestically and internationally. Graduates may find employment in:
Hotels and Resorts

What to Look for in Hotel Management Colleges in Uttarakhand
If you’re someone who loves working with people, exploring different cultures, and creating memorable experiences, a career in hospitality might be just the right path. And what better place to start than Uttarakhand—a state known for its tourism, scenic beauty, and growing hospitality industry. Choosing one of the right hotel management colleges in Uttarakhand can set the stage for a dynamic and rewarding career.
But with so many colleges offering hotel management programs, how do you decide which one fits your goals and passion?
Here’s a practical guide on what to look for when evaluating colleges for hotel management, and why Uttarakhand, especially Dehradun, is becoming a preferred destination for hospitality education.
Strong academic foundation with a practical edge
The hospitality industry is a perfect mix of theory and hands-on experience. So, when choosing a college, look for a curriculum that blends classroom learning with real-world exposure. A good Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) program should cover the basics like food production, housekeeping, front office operations, and food and beverage service. But it should also dive into hotel administration, customer service, business communication, and event management.
IMS Unison University in Dehradun offers a four-year BHM program that checks all these boxes. Their curriculum is designed to keep pace with evolving industry standards and focuses equally on practical training and theoretical concepts.
Modern infrastructure and training labs
Hotel management isn’t a course you can study only through books. It requires state-of-the-art facilities to practice what you learn. Colleges that offer professional kitchens, mock hotel rooms, front office labs, and training restaurants help students build confidence in a controlled environment before stepping into the real world.
At IMS Unison University, students have access to fully equipped labs that simulate hotel operations. Whether it’s perfecting culinary skills in a training kitchen or managing guests at the front office lab, students get a realistic feel of what working in a hotel is like.
Industry exposure through internships and live projects
One of the biggest advantages of pursuing your degree from reputed hotel management colleges in Uttarakhand is the opportunity to engage with real businesses. Internships with top hotel chains and hospitality brands not only build your resume but also allow you to apply classroom learning to real-life situations.
IMS Unison University provides its BHM students with internships in reputed hotels and resorts. These experiences help students understand customer preferences, handle operational challenges, and get first-hand knowledge of how the industry functions on a day-to-day basis.
Qualified and experienced faculty
Hospitality is an industry where soft skills matter just as much as technical knowledge. Faculty members who have worked in the industry can bring practical insights to the classroom. They help students not only learn the theory but also understand the nuances of guest satisfaction, service standards, and team coordination.
At IMS Unison University, faculty members come from rich industry backgrounds and use real-world examples, case studies, and role-plays to make lessons engaging and relevant. Their mentorship often plays a big role in shaping a student’s professional attitude and career choices.
Placement support and career opportunities
A good hotel management college should guide you from your first day on campus to your first job in the industry. This means helping you build your resume, prepare for interviews, and find placements with leading hotel chains, airlines, cruise liners, event companies, and even luxury resorts.
IMS Unison University has a dedicated placement cell that connects students with recruiters from across the hospitality sector. Over the years, students have been placed in well-known hotel groups, both in India and abroad, with competitive salary packages and growth opportunities.
Soft skills and personality development
While technical training is essential, employers in the hospitality sector also look for confident, well-spoken individuals with strong interpersonal skills. This is why leading hotel management colleges in Uttarakhand integrate soft skills training into their programs.
At IMS Unison University, personality development workshops, communication training, and grooming sessions are a regular part of the course. Students also get to participate in seminars, competitions, and hospitality events that boost their confidence and public speaking abilities.
Campus environment and student life
The right college is not just about academics. You’ll be spending four important years of your life there, so the campus atmosphere matters. A lively, safe, and supportive environment can help you grow personally as well as professionally.
IMS Unison University offers a beautiful green campus in Dehradun with modern amenities, residential facilities, and a vibrant student community. Cultural events, hospitality fests, and club activities ensure there’s always something happening beyond the classroom.
Dehradun – A growing education and hospitality hub
Uttarakhand is known for tourism, and Dehradun, its capital, is at the heart of this activity. Studying hotel management in a city that thrives on hospitality gives students a natural edge. The presence of hotels, resorts, cafes, and tourism agencies makes it easier for students to find internships and part-time job opportunities while studying.
IMS Unison University leverages this advantage by collaborating with local and national hospitality partners, providing students with consistent exposure to the industry.
Conclusion
Choosing from the top hotel management colleges in Uttarakhand can shape your future in one of the most vibrant industries today. Whether you dream of managing a luxury resort, working on a cruise ship, or running your own café, the right education can take you there.
IMS Unison University stands out as a premier choice for students looking to pursue hotel management in Uttarakhand. With modern infrastructure, industry-aligned curriculum, dedicated placement support, and a lively campus atmosphere, it offers everything you need to succeed in hospitality.
If you are ready to turn your passion for service and travel into a professional career, IMS Unison University is the place to begin your journey.
