Just wondering, do you think it’s possible for Dark Parables to come back?

Only if another company bought the rights. Because it went from Blue Tea to Eipix, and I'm pretty sure Eipix was bought by Playrix, and no new games are being made for the series nor Mystery Files if I remember correctly.

But if another company wanted to take a crack at the games, I would be all for it! Maybe a reboot or just remastering the old games and then continuing on. I would especially love to see a continuation of Cursery

I've been reading a lot of childcare manwha so here's Childcare AU with Cursery duo and Belladonna. It's revisiting the old crossover art I did with Parn and Bella, but with a more wholesome twist.

Alternate titles: Messed-up people with god-like powers become each other's emotional support. Serial killer gets too busy spoiling child with abandonment issues to do any serial killing. One of them is a tsundere and it's definitely not the catboy (or so he says).

I purchased Cursery: The Crooked Man and the Crooked Cat a bit ago and have been playing it off-and-on since. Something about the beginning gameplay is...hard to get through. But I'm enjoying it all the same!!

So, you said you've played a ton of hidden object games, so I was just wondering if you have ever played Cursery: The Crooked man and the Crooked Cat or the Bonfire Legends? Thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day/night!

!!! Yes, I've played Cursery: The Crooked Man and the Crooked Cat! But I don't remember how long ago it was and how far I got into it. I'll Wishlist it on Steam to buy later so I can replay it. I'll post about it when that happens!

Also, if you mean Bonfire Stories, Faceless Gravedigger and Heartless are two of my favorite hidden object games of all time! I don't like the third game(Manifest Horror), and it seems to be the weakest out of that series. But I'm in LOVE with those games, and I ought to post about them more because they're amazing!

My NonCohesive Mess of Thoughts on LGIEF (Spoilers, long post)

Ok I will likely make episode breakdowns because apparently that’s the person I’m turning into (Jack and Joker what did you do to me) but my overall thoughts on LGIEF as a show!

Before we get into the plot let's talk about the other aspects, the soundtrack is beautiful and several songs will likely be added to my liked songs on Spotify. Music 8/10

The costuming is intricate, detailed and diverse. I feel like male characters often get left behind in gorgeous diverse costumes but everyone looked stunning. I've convinced two of my friends to watch the show due to the costumes alone. Costumes 10/10

Set Design is PHENOMANAL, Everything looked like it truly belonged in the time/space. Down to lighting and smaller props. So much of it is clearly practical too and I really love practical effects over cgi/edited so 10/10 for Set Design/Props as well.

The blocking and acting is amazing as well. Every character has such a wide range of emotions, and while I am immensely partial to the DIVINE acting skills of DYX and his overly expressive eyes; truly everyone on the cast did an amazing job. Every side character and even the background characters felt so full of not only life but true human experience. 9/10

Now onto the storyline. LGIEF is a Isekai style Cdrama with several classic tropes (transported into a book, became evil female character, game system) but that is just the first layer of the iceberg that is this show. The first episodes grabs easily with cute graphics along the screen and 'killing' off the main character no more than 20min in, using the 'Trial/Beginner Mode' as something that not only Miaomiao is going through being put in this new situation, but US THE VIEWER is also experiencing with a lighthearted and no consequence silly drama show with pretty design. BUT IT'S SO MUCH MORE!!!!

The next layer down of this iceberg of a show is that this show is about the Power of Friendship, showing people that it is not only possible to love and trust but better for yourself and those around you to have those relationships. Shown not only in the main 4, but Miaomiao's relationship with her father as well. Miaomiao is determined to not be Lin Yu who is spoiled and cruel and not only that but to help these characters with their flaws. At this point in the story one could argue that Miaomiao is not particularly attached (not anymore than one would be a fictional character) and is more focused on completing the task to leave. I'll make another post about Miaomiao and her struggles with the system and the battle of seeing these characters as real people or pawns in a story later but the true core of all of these intro episodes is that Her Care is what will shape and change the story.

But this is not an ordinary Friendship Saga, nonnononoo. It's about redemption, about repentance, about self love and forgiveness. We all love a good story about learning to accept ones faults. Hell I've read thousands of fanfics with that exact concept over and over again. It really drew me into this story to see each character fighting with themself over something that they feel they must go through alone. Struggles can seem so hard and daunting alone, and that makes it all the more scary to ask for help.

The next step down is immensely meta (my friend admitted she got a bit lost here) but it ties everything together!!! REALLY IT DOES LISTEN!!!

Chasing Demons, the book in the show, is a story about distrust, abandonment and the cruelty of the world. It is the epitome of self defeatism and reenforces the message that 'people will hurt you', 'people will abandon you', 'no one will truly accept you as you are', 'you can't trust anyone'. LGIEF the show itself, is about learning that Trust and Love are important to have in the relationships around you, and that giving that to others is an easy way to receive it yourself. That struggles exist, and while so many that you encounter you need to be able to solve yourself, it is possible to get assistance and lessen your burden by others reaching out a hand to help.

I find it to be a slight twist on the take of 'friendship is power' because it is told within the concept of fandom in a way, and therefore makes it very easy for me (or any fan) to relate and connect with the characters.

I have probably 15 more paragraphs I could write, but I will write them on other posts so I will simply say. Story: 9/10

LGIEF is one of my favorite drama's I have seen and my only true 'complaint' is that I wish I could have seen more, but I understand leaving it where it is in fear of ruining it's beauty. 10/10
