#he always seemed like a Si dom to me#the whole “studying the shapes and curves of the racing tracks and memorizing them to run on them better” seems like#Si and/or Ti for me#“he's planning it could be Ni” i feel like Ni would use what's he's seeing here and now (Se) and then plan on his mind where the road is#going and when it is going. they need to EXPERIENCE the road (Se) to predict. he was using data to predict (Si-esque).#the way he planned made me thing of Si because it feels he seemed to not want any unpredictable thing that#could make his performance more difficult and him rank lower aka lower Pe aka IxxJ.#also he seemed to use Te's problem solving to help Si in order to make his performance more efficient so nothing unexpected would happen#also he would close his eyes and imagine it with his mind's eye and body movements. Si-esque bc he is feeling the possibilities (Ne) with#his body in an “internal” “subjective” way (Si)#not in a “let's go there and explore the roads right now" (objective and Se-esque)#and the studying thing is not necessarily Ti but could be amplified by Ti bc Ti is obsessed with uncovering the mechanics of how things wor#so in case he has it... ISFJ. HOWEVER#the day he decided to speak up for the injustices drivers had to face bc of those stupid dudes who didn't care for their safety#kinda seemed like Fi to me. ISFJs use their Fe in a way that seems polite and would talk about injustices in a more discreet “delicate” way#maybe even indirect passive agressive way so they would express their (all racers) feelings without enraging the culprits#however senna showed how angry he felt with the situation. he outwardly complained and seemed rude.#this way off showing your anger in a RAW unfiltered way is extremely Fi-esque. he ignored his coach's (?) orders to be quiet#in order to express his innermost feelings#“but Si doms are ruler-followers!!” rules that make sense. if it breaks their morals and values (Fi) or their logical sense (Ti) they WILL#be against it. they're not blind to it bro. they don't follow everything by the book blindly. they are rational people just like other type#“but what about the tunnel thing???” he was describing his physical sensations. that's si. ni would be an intuition of what would happen. h#was describing his sensations in that moment. “then it's se!!” HIS OWN PHYSICAL SENSATIONS. se is OBJECTIVE. he was describing SUBJECTIVE#he literally stopped sensing the world around him the cheering and everything. that means he was focusing completely on the SUBJECT.#that means INTROVERSION. he was using an INTROVERTED function.#also just bc he's a racer doesn't mean he uses se.#i also saw some people saying he's an istp. seriously??? just bc he likes cars?????? learn mbti not astrology.#“bat why don't you post this whole text on pdb” i'm tired of people there i don't want anyone bothering me bye#anyway he's an ISTJ for me#tio morcego tá tagarela

Go ahead and explain your reasoning in the tags if you like!
#tf2#team fortress 2#polls#I'll go first: I personally think spy is the hardest class#in terms of learning curve and overall gameplay hes the hardest due to the fact that hes also the weakest class in the game#his only playstyles are regular stealth spy and gunspy to which gunspy isnt encouraged much#on paper spy sounds like hes powerful and simple but in practice its so much harder than it looks#you have to learn how to navigate the map along with predicting/learning the enemy on their movements and experience#other contenders Id say heavy and maybe demo#tfw talking

Idk what I want to work on next besides probably another giant octopus and a Bucky Bear for my MTH auction fill, so I'm taking suggestions! What do you think I should make next?
#the person behind the yarn#as usual I make no promises or guarantees about what I will make#I never know what spark of imagination will ignite#and suddenly pivot my focus to be lasered in on making a giant octopus for like an entire day#could not have predicted that one lol#also I found someone else's large octopus plushie and their pattern looks significantly easier to design#way more complex to sew!#but simpler to design#I usually fall on the 'I'd rather it be easy to design and complex to sew instead of easy to sew and complex to design' side of the scale#so idk why the octopus was such an exception for me?#but it really is! it's surprisingly extremely easy to sew#I mean. like. a lotta curves to sew#but if you pull a bit on the fabric as you sew the tentacles you just get tentacles that are twisting a little#which is fine because they are tentacles. if anything it's a bonus and makes them look better

For the most part, I've gotten fewer weird-ass answers from students on their worksheets as the semester goes on. And then this week, we had DNA and Inheritance, and there was a question about dominant traits and does dominant allele mean higher fitness- and let me tell you, that question's answers are a mess. Some I'm just staring at and going....there are a lot of words here that are completely wrong, do I give any points?
anyway the course coordinator is going to be getting feedback on that question tomorrow, it was worded poorly and we needed more slides to cover it more clearly. Some students did perfectly, but others are. uh. Didn't get the memo.
#it is so hard to anticipate what people are going to struggle with#there's a lot that is just basic common stuff to me and it is apparently not common knowledge#was never going to be able to anticipate people un-crossing the test tube tongs#and trying to remove hot test tubes from a water bath with the curved sides of the tongs pointed in#or people making a prediction about what extracted strawberry DNA would look like#and saying 'it will be a double helix'#y'all thought that you would be able to see the double helix with your bare eyes?

Like I *get* folks' concerns about a possible retcon of all the fun development from 15-17 but also I do Not seriously believe that's what's gonna happen. Not out of any grand overwhelming faith in the writers (though I am hopeful about that!) but literally just b/c like. A buncha of the OG crew is back to writing/directing? It's the final season? Y'all really expect this to get played straight????
#bookworm speaks#red vs blue#this season is going to turn at curves and angles we couldn't BEGIN to predict#my original thought was church running a whole buncha simulations for himself to even get to the canon events#(and also maybe plan out what would be best to say to everyone in those final messages-)#my FAVORITE so far was the one person who suggested church popping in post season 17 like 'what do you mean THAT'S what happened?!!?#that was the least likely outcome by far!!!'#anyway yeah. a simple retcon? in this show??? fuck no that's not what we're getting#I could be wrong but like. i really think it's just a matter of details

For that last poll. Tbh part of why I typically can manage to pick the least picked in a relatively random spread of answers (especially relevant when there are actually no differences between the answers) is that it always tends to follow a pattern on here
It's like. If you turn your screen so the left of the poll is on the bottom. It's always a right-skewed bell curve. Bell curve is relatively self explanatory in that random choices tend to fall within a bell curve pattern, but the right skew I believe can be attributed to the fact that when people are trying to Randomly Pick something on here, they don't want to pick what they first see. They scroll down, first. So more people vote for lower down on the poll.
So for that last poll. My line of thought was "okay, there's no true way to guess what's the best choice by value alone bc they're all relatively innocuous hiding spots, so I'll go by the right skewed bell curve idea, which means the upper options will have less choices". And from there, I looked at the upper options and picked the one that seemed like the most obvious hiding spot (which people naturally gravitate away from in hide and seek) (which you might also argue that more people would pick it because it's obvious, but if enough people think That then it goes back to not being picked much)
And what do you know ! It's not a bell curve really, but it Does skew towards the bottom. And I sure did pick the one that was least picked :]
#speculation nation#this post serves no purpose aside from explaining how i chose what i did#which i didnt want to do on the post itself bc of directly spoilering the post.#but also. stuff like this makes me feel smart heheh. Predicting Human Behavior...#i really am serious about that right skewed bell curve btw. next time u see a random choice poll pay attention to the shape of it#just about Every Time ive seen one it's ended up with a right skewed bell curve. it's pretty interesting.

Exploring SOC-OCV Curves in Lithium-ion Battery Management
In the rapidly evolving world of lithium-ion battery technology, understanding the SOC-OCV Curve (State of Charge - Open Circuit Voltage) is crucial for optimizing battery management systems (BMS) and enhancing battery performance. This blog delves into the significance of SOC estimation, the relationship between Open Circuit Voltage (OCV) and State of Charge (SOC), and how these concepts play a pivotal role in the effective management of lithium-ion batteries.

Unraveling the SOC-OCV Mystery
The SOC-OCV curve is a fundamental tool for estimating the state of charge in lithium-ion batteries. By analyzing this curve, we can gain insights into how voltage changes with varying levels of charge. This relationship is essential for accurate battery state estimation techniques and informs the development of advanced battery management systems.
Our research highlights that precise SOC-OCV calibration is vital to understanding battery behavior, especially around critical SOC levels like 60%. Factors such as active materials, capacity attenuation, and silicon doping can significantly influence the curve's shape and behavior.
Dynamic Factors Influencing SOC-OCV Curves
Several dynamic factors impact the SOC-OCV curves, including:
Active Materials: The type of materials used in the battery, such as lithium iron phosphate and graphite, significantly affects voltage characteristics and overall performance.
Battery Types: Different battery chemistries exhibit unique SOC-OCV relationships. Understanding these differences is crucial for effective performance analysis.
SOC Adjustment Parameters: The direction in which SOC is adjusted during charging or discharging can alter the OCV readings, making it essential to consider these parameters in battery management algorithms.
Negative Silicon Doping: This innovative approach can enhance battery performance but also complicates the SOC-OCV relationship, particularly during phase transformations.
Challenges and Solutions
The complexity of the SOC-OCV curve, especially near 60% SOC, presents challenges for accurate voltage measurements. The voltage step observed in this region is primarily due to phase transformations in negative graphite. Our research addresses these challenges by providing insights into how various factors contribute to the curve's behavior, ultimately leading to improved battery health monitoring and degradation analysis.
Key Insights from Our Research
Our findings reveal that while the full battery OCV is determined by material properties, the shape of the SOC-OCV curve is influenced by several factors:
Active Material Differences: Variations in active materials can lead to distinct voltage characteristics.
SOC Regulation Direction: The method of adjusting SOC impacts OCV readings and must be carefully managed.
Charge and Discharge Cycles: These cycles affect battery capacity over time, influencing both SOC estimation and OCV measurements.
Role of Negative Electrode: The negative electrode's composition, particularly concerning silicon doping, plays a crucial role in shaping the SOC-OCV curve.
Future Frontiers in Battery Management
As we continue to explore lithium-ion battery technology, our research paves the way for future advancements in battery management systems. By enhancing our understanding of SOC-OCV mapping for energy storage systems, we can optimize battery performance and contribute to cleaner, more efficient energy solutions. In conclusion, comprehending the intricacies of SOC-OCV curves is essential for anyone involved in lithium-ion battery technology. As we push forward into a future powered by sustainable energy solutions, mastering these concepts will be key to ensuring that our batteries perform optimally throughout their lifecycle. Whether you are a researcher, engineer, or enthusiast, staying informed about these developments will empower you to contribute meaningfully to this dynamic field.

ryomen sukuna has (oddly) attractive teeth.
his canines specifically are teasingly sharp things. they graze over your skin and leave red marks in their wake whenever he kisses you, and when they sink into the juicer fruits sukuna choses to indulge in every now and then during dinner time—they leave rivers of nectar dripping down his chin, just begging to be cleaned up.
that is the explanation you give sukuna when he asks you why you licked him.
"say ah."
sukuna's growl is cut off when your fingers push past his mouth, cradling his jaw and prying it open before you gently push aside his upper lip to reveal the top two devils residing inside.
they seem to wink at you in the light, pearly white and just as sharp as you'd predicted—sukuna watches you through narrowed eyes as your finger gently traces the outline of his canines—the sharpest two teeth of them all.
"beautiful—just beautiful. are you sure you're not a vampire, suks?"
a mere second later, his jaw snaps shut—and you pull away with just barely a millisecond saving your fingers from being chomped clean off. and sukuna thinks that might finally shut you up about his teeth, but you're so crazy you find the audacity to laugh with a sadistic kind of glee that (he'll never admit) is freaking him out.
"you are a feral animal, woman. who the fuck is attracted to teeth? my body is one of a god, i could crush you with just the muscle in my arm, and what are you doing—using it as leverage to balance yourself, like it's some sort of stepping stool—to get a closer look into my mouth."
"mhm!"
your smile is charming enough that he can't help but grumble under his breath as you sigh dreamily, draping your head over the curve between his shoulder and neck
"have you ever bitten your tongue by accident, suks? i mean, you do talk an awful lot. i wouldn't be surprised if—"
sukuna seems determined to remind you that there are other aspects of him far more worthy of your attention (like his strength, perhaps) as he grabs you in one fell swoop and tosses you over his shoulder like it was nothing.
"bed," he grumbles as he gently tosses you onto the crumped sheets and blankets a few feet away—you laugh again, and he's muttering all sorts of profanities under his breath as he blows out the candle resting on your bedside and gets into the spot beside you, laying his head onto the pillow with a sigh
"and if you don't go the fuck to sleep—i swear to god i will bite your head off with these teeth you're so obsessed with," sukuna mutters, tone heavy with exhaustion and slurred with something like amusement as he watches your eyes glitter with mischief
"don't threaten me with a good time," you grin, and he tugs you forward wordlessly, cocooning you in his hold as his arms wrap around your form before he lets out a quiet grunt
"you're insane, woman. and lucky i'm so madly in love with you."

satoru gets personally offended when you compliment someone else’s eyes. like dramatically. operatically. even if it’s a celebrity on the tv in passing—you say, “he’s got nice eyes,” and suddenly you hear an exaggerated gasp from the other side of the couch.
he’s sitting up now, spine rigid with disbelief, and when you turn, you catch him blinking at you like he’s just been betrayed by the universe itself. those lashes—long, white, feathery—flutter with full theatrical intent as he slowly leans forward, elbows on his knees, chin tipped down. but his gaze stays locked on yours, pale lashes casting soft shadows over piercing, luminous cerulean eyes that could put entire galaxies to shame.
“these eyes,” he says, voice low and wounded, “these eyes don’t do it for you anymore?”
you try to hold steady. really, you do. arms crossed, brows raised, lips pressed into a flat line. but you’re trembling with the effort not to laugh. you’re married. you should be used to this. but somehow, you’re not. not when he’s gazing up at you with those glittering blue eyes like you just ran his dog over. not when he’s pouting so hard his lower lip has its own gravitational pull.
he scoots closer, knees knocking against yours, expression nothing short of tragic. his fingers crawl up to your hand like a guilty dog begging for forgiveness he shouldn't even need. “you didn’t even mention the flecks of silver,” he adds in a whisper, tilting his head so the afternoon light cuts across his face just right. “or how they go all icy in sunlight. or how my lashes are, like, objectively longer than yours. everyone says that. you used to say that.”
“satoru,” you groan, though your lips are already twitching. you flick his forehead, and he recoils with a wounded gasp, clasping his head like you clocked him with a brick.
“no, no, don’t try to take it back now,” he grumbles, and collapses backward onto the couch like he’s been fatally wounded. one arm flung over his eyes, shirt riding up to expose a sliver of toned stomach, like that’s supposed to help his case. his hair fans out messily against the cushion, those snowy strands a halo of overdramatic despair. “i’ll just be here. unloved. unadmired. blue eyes out of commission.”
it lasts all of three minutes. because eventually, predictably, you crawl over with a sigh and plop into his lap, hands cupping his pouty cheeks as you squish them together until his lips pucker like a fish.
your fingers brush the curve of his jaw, tracing the heat that blooms along his skin. you narrow your eyes at him, your own expression somewhere between fond and exasperated. “you,” you say, leaning close so your nose brushes his, “have the prettiest eyes i’ve ever seen.”
immediate shift. his whole body lights up like you just whispered the secrets of the universe in his ear. his pout melts into a grin, eyes crinkling with delight, those lashes fluttering like he’s trying to weaponize them again.
“i know,” he hums, practically vibrating. “say it again. but slower. and like, with trembling hands. maybe a tear or two.”
you roll your eyes, but you kiss him on the nose anyway, and he goes limp underneath you, arms wrapping around your waist as he lets out a happy little sigh that puffs against your cheek. he buries his face in the crook of your neck like it’s a reflex, nuzzling with the smug satisfaction of a man who has won something he never lost.
he spends the rest of the night trailing after you like a lovesick puppy, peeking at you with wide, hopeful eyes whenever you glance his way.
(two days later, you compliment a dog on tv and satoru doesn’t miss a beat: “his eyes are literally just brown. mine sparkle like the ocean at dawn. tell me i’m right.”)
