more (increasingly silly) trans archives because i'm normal about them

sasha gives martin pointers on how to shave and trim his facial hair, and in return he walks her through the best ways to paint your fingernails without making a huge mess

tim and jon met (pre-archives) before either of them had started to transition, so they've been kind of unofficial transition buddies since then, and celebrate milestones with each other

tim and sasha take martin out for dinner when he starts t, and they surprise him with a cake that says "IT'S A BOY!" (martin cries)

jon gathers a bunch of transfem resources from georgie once he learns that sasha is trans, and gives them to her in the form of a thick-as-hell binder with a little trans flag sticker on the front (he's highlighted important bits in pink and blue)

tim takes a fun little trip to hr (and elias's office) after cursing someone out for misgendering/deadnaming martin

jon silently hands out personalized pride/pronoun pins on the first day of pride month (he asked georgie to make them, as he does not have a pin press and that is not the kind of craft he knows anything about)

martin implies to jon at some point that he's used to people not seeing him as a man and the next day there's a new nameplate on martin's desk that reads "MR. BLACKWOOD" (nobody ever comes down there so there's nobody except the other archival assistants to see it, but martin still loves it)

the archival assistants have trans movie nights, where they pick movies and then (drunkenly) decide which characters have the most tgirl/tboy swag (this has led to shouting matches when tim wants to claim a character for team tboy and sasha wants to claim that same character for team tgirl)

tim gets sloshed and cries because he can't find his dick. sasha (equally sloshed) offers to give him hers. martin (a little less sloshed) has to hide all the scissors before the other two do something incredibly stupid

after he gets top surgery, the archival assistants give jon a shirt that says "I GOT MY TITS CHOPPED OFF AT CLAIRE'S"

I saw your flesh tree ask and am compelled to tell you that we had a meat orchard in the campaign im playing in (as in an orchard of trees that grew perfect cuts of meat) and we had this enemy called the blood willows that are just trees that grapple you and suck the blood out of you.

I immediately made us meat orchard tshirts on customink after the session ended. we call them our meat shirts.

Hello everyone! I'm coming in with a Garwin Day update in 70% more words than strictly necessary. If you haven't seen the official press release poster, here it is for your viewing pleasure.

I stated there that details regarding the T-shirt contest would be released closer to the date, and today I'm making good on that particular promise.

On Thursday, March 28, I encourage everyone interested to submit your t-shirt design to the #garwin day 2024 tag and/or tag @arson-anarchy-death and me in your post. You can make as many as you would like, but please designate only one to be entered into judging.

Whomever submits the t-shirt design that is the most Garwin--the guidelines for which are a black box algorithm that will not be disclosed due to its proprietary nature--will be deemed the Gar-winner and recieve:

Bragging rights for all eternity

A rejection letter from Yale

An art request which I will attempt to fulfill in a reasonable amount of time OR a fic request that can be fulfilled in a thousand words or less

There are a couple of different methods enumerated under the cut, along with certain supplementals if you're like me and not very good at this whole art thing. These will not be judging categories--everyone is in the same boat--but the numbered list is nice to my brain.

Questions, comments, concerns? Please send me an ask! There's a good chance I haven't thought of every single edge case, so let me know if there's anything I can help to clarify.

1. The first option is the classic 'just draw the whole thing'. If you were already planning Garwin art before this announcement, feel free to eliminate two stones with one bird in that artwork; make sure the t-shirt is readable enough for judging purposes. Anything and everything else is fair game. (Both digital and traditional accepted)

2. Option two: DTYIS (Garwin templates provided below). Anything from full DTYIS to a screenshot that is drawn upon (however MS paint-looking that may end up being) falls into this bullet point.

3. If MS paint isn't the style you have in mind and you'd rather not spend the next three days perfecting your font-writing skills, I have the solution for you. I created the above Garwin template with this customink tshirt as a guide. This allows for both easier photoshopping if you would like to paste it onto the Garwin template or the ability to simply submit screenshots of your customink design.

The only method I'm going to discourage is finding a picture of a t-shirt on the internet and submitting that as your contest entry. Feel free to browse the internet for inspiration and even recreate shirts found there, whether it be by your own hands or in customink, just make sure that some of your own work has gone into making your final submission.

idk if you'll have the answer for this but with the "show exclusive" shirts, I didn't see any at my venue (Toronto)- did I just miss them/they sold out before I even got in? Or am I misunderstanding what they are- since you said you would be making yours are they like... fan shirts? Sorry if this is a silly question! I'm just confused and can't find Anything online about show-specific merch, so if there Was something I'd want to find a way to get it lmao

I do have an answer! The shirts are official designs, and each city has a different lyric on the back and the name of the city and the smile/frown logo on the front. It’s very possible they sold out before you could get to them - they’ve tended to go really fast at every show so far.

The way I'll be making mine is through either one of those sites like customink (where you can upload a design) or through screenprinting (which I have just started to learn how to do). A reddit user created png versions of each of the city specific lyric shirts! their original post on it is here - these designs are for PERSONAL use and are not to be used for resale or for profit. But for anyone sad they missed their city’s shirt or a specific lyric or couldn’t go to any tour date, this is an excellent resource to use to get your own printed!
