Is there any chance of custom dashes being a thing in the future? I could follow so many more blogs if I was able to group them into different dashes for myself.
Answer: Hey, @untitled-main-blog!
What a coincidence you should mention that!
This is exactly the idea behind Collections, an experimental feature we were working on over in Labs. You can check it out here and here. Great minds and all that.
We’ve put that project on hold for now, however, as we work on the idea of Communities instead, which could theoretically serve a similar purpose.
Please follow the @labs blog for more updates on these projects! We can’t wait to show you more.
Thanks for your question, and keep ’em coming!

when I search for a character and the first result is some polyamory or trans nonsense: >:(
would polyamory fix them? no, never, it doesn't work irl, it doesn't work in fiction.
would transition save them? come on. be serious. crossdressing and pumping yourself full of cross-sex hormones isn't the cure-all you seem to think it would be.

yay thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love customization i love customising things :) also idk if u meant like My Actual Desktop Blog Theme or like theeeee. idk what to call it. the mobile version/open in dashboard thing. since i sometimes see people call that a theme even tho its a Different Thing but as evidenced by me 1 second ago theres not a simple specific name for it dsfkskfjsf
BUT ANYWAY POINT IS if u did mean my desktop theme the thank you points are doubled shoutout to custom themes i love you custom themes (but ofc the "thank you" still stands if u did mean the other thing ^u^)

Are there any plans to add greater customizability to the dashboard? As I'm sure the team is already aware there are many users (including myself) who greatly miss the old layout and the floating avatars, but admittedly with the introduction of Patio there is legitimate merit to the more condensed design. Is there any chance these two layouts could come to coexist at some point down the line? If not that, is an option to reenable floating avatars in the cards?
Answer: Hi, @jam-n-jay!
So, floating avatars are not returning at all, we are sorry to say. Otherwise, more iterations on the desktop site design are coming in good time! Hold onto your hats, folks.
Who knows… maybe we will have something we could preview from our recent Hack Week to show y’all. Stay tuned on the @engineering blog for that!
Thanks for getting in touch here, and have a good day.
