My first ever attempt at drawing a furry! It's actually kind of odd considering how much furry/furry adjacent content I consumed as a teenager. Between disney, pokemon, digimon, webcomics and liking so much furry art in general, you'd think I'd have tried to draw something like this at least once before out of curiousity, but no (I am a deeply incurious person).

But what better character for my first attempt than the one of the primary characters of one of the first webcomics I ever discovered. The titular Mab of "Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures". I was obsessed with this comic all throughout middle school and most of high school. Amber Williams was SUCH an important person in me developing my art style. And to go back to that site like, five years ago and see that the comic is STILL being regularly updated?! After over 20 years?! I prostrate myself before that kind of dedication.

If I was going to draw my favorite character, it would've been Abel or maaaaybe Regina. I might draw them one day, too (but the thought of all those spots makes me break out in a cold sweat), but for a first attempt, it could only be the queen herself.

Yeah yeah furry shit yeah. Well, do you want... more furry shit? Furry shit with deeply entwined characters and entire clans of said characters, with fifty-foot-tall semi-divine rulers at the head of each one? Wanna see what OCD & ADHD can do when combined in a single vessel?

@just-endless-nonsense is a new blog I made to hold all my fanwork of DMFA and Project Future, a comic I've been reading for years and a spinoff with multiple spinoffs. I've developed my own clans and histories, while still keeping in touch with official clans and clan politics.

Endless Nonsense is in no small way a tribute to my OCD. I got wrapped up adopting characters because I loved their designs and "needed" them for Endless Nonsense so much, I didn't realize that I had gone well past 100 of the fuckers. Many of my characters are my own original designs, but hoo boy, there's a lot of them that aren't.

I have to reply to this with one of my absolute all-time favorite examples of these, from the DMFA webcomic. For context, the first three panels are part of the rescue party for their friend (panel #4) who was kidnapped for a wedding plot.

One of my absolute favorite tropes is “We have taken the one you love most!” “Oh, have you? Good fukken luck lmao” *distant screams of kidnappers as loved one escapes* or the flipside: “We’ve kidnapped you!” “You are in so much trouble. You are in so much fucking trouble. You are in the most trouble ever, oh my god.” *DOOR EXPLODES INWARDS AS LOVED ONE ARRIVES* and the alternate: *vehicle pulls up, door opens, person is shoved out, door slams, vehicle screeches away* “Did you get kidnapped??” “For a minute yeah”

you want a textile that doesn't kill an animal? great, we have some! it's FUCKING WOOL. we have literally bred sheep (and goats/alpaca/llamas) for nearly TEN THOUSAND YEARS to harvest their wool in a yearly haircut that leaves them trotting back to the herd in under five minutes with modern tools and a competent shearer. Not shearing these animals is actually detrimental to their welfare!

some of us are allergic to wool though, or can't use it for other reasons. (I will mention though - if you're allergic to sheep's wool specifically I would suggest checking out alpaca fiber if you can, they're different enough many people -though not all- don't have a sensitivity to the material. I have some wonderful dryer balls made of alpaca felt from a local farm and don't have to worry about setting off Mom's allergies with them, and they last for a good while! ours are going on four or five years now.)

All tested materials emitted volatile organic compounds when applied to the thermal desorption screening procedure. Restricted substances were identified in the samples of PUR-coated textile (reference), the similarly constructed materials Desserto®, Appleskin®, and Vegea®, but also in Pinatex®. The PUR-coated textile contained considerable amounts of dimethylformamide (DMFa) and toluene and traces of N,N-dimethylacetamide. In Appleskin®, butanone oxime and traces of DMFa were detected. Desserto® contained the five restricted substances butanone oxime, toluene, free isocyanate, folpet (an organic pesticide), and traces of the plasticizer Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP). Toluene was detected in the sample of Vegea® and DIBP in that of Pinatex®.

Desserto® and Appleskin® adopt this principle. A part of PUR is replaced by agricultural by-products, which are used as fillers. A detailed analysis of the origin of the natural component and its content in relation to the bulk of the material was not possible, however. Nevertheless, the bulk of the materials remains to consist of polyurethane.

Figure 5 shows impressively the performance of the different materials in comparison to the references. Alternative materials have specific advantages, but none of the materials combines high mechanical strength and flex resistance with high water vapor permeability as in the case of leather. (note: WVP and WVA refer to Water Vapor Permeability and Water Vapor Absorption respectively)

I love leather and I love fur and I don’t mind arguing about it.
