Given the lack of support for sapphic ships across the board lately (compared with other types of ships), I've been fretting over the ones I've been writing.

Why? Because my currently most active ones don't last. In Neri's Dragon Age worldstate for example, Heather and Anora are doomed from the start because Anora is trapped into not one but two political marriages to men. She and Alistair eventually forge a genuine relationship from the arrangement (I need each of them to find happiness despite their circumstances dammit), but that outcome requires a permanent split from Heather.

Then I go and make this worse as Heather eventually starts (I hesitate to say "rekindles" because their teenage fling really was a fling) a relationship with Nathaniel after a fraught and angsty journey to get there. Again, this is partly motivated by politics -- Heather is twin to Teyrn Fergus Cousland of Highever, Nathaniel's a former noble himself and the logical next-in-line to lead Vigil's Keep in Neri's absence -- yet I can't help but stare at my demolishing of what is, in my biased opinion, an excellent sapphic ship.

Granted, much of this may be driven by my not-so-subconscious need to see queer people still being queer people despite having relationships that could be perceived as heterosexual. Like, Heather and Nathaniel are no less queer for ending up together. Same for Anora (and I can't headcanon Alistair as straight either).

I do have many sapphic ships in Neri's worldstate: Dana Hawke ends up with Merrill, Isabela eventually kindles a relationship with Bethany, and Raven Cadash has a slow burn with Cassandra that I haven't yet figured out. But these ships aren't at the forefront and won't get there anytime soon. Add in that Lynn Shepard's first love is Ashley Williams but her longterm relationship is with Garrus, and I'm sitting here uncomfortable with the thought that I'm contributing to the dearth of sapphic ships in fictional media.

After the farce and then travesty of her "wedding day", she hates the world in general and is distrustful of everyone (except elves) she meets at first glance. Becoming a Warden gave her power and freedom, but she has no loyalty to them or grief over their end. Her journey isn't about being not angry, fuck that, it's about finding people to trust and love, to be able to protect and save the disenfranchised like her, and to become a Hero without hiding the blood in her wake.

Here Lies my Legacy Save.

Computer died, lost years of play, and so the records I was keeping are now done being collected and are now simply kept.

I WAS renaming my sims by generation because I couldn't tell who was what generation in gameplay and it made it weird when they had the same childhood crush as their children. So the first generation was A-named, next was B, etc.

I did rename some of them funky, I didn't rename others, and some I tried to rename but failed because I couldn't get the names to stick.

All of Gen C were born to played Sims.

Last/family names were mixed from the parents, whose were mixed from their parents. Manning and Falcon became Falman, and when Falman and Blackburn got together, they became Falburn.

When two of the same names have babies (usually because sibling affairs with in-laws), I mixed it up. Once, it was a lady who seduced a mother and son, so Beckman plus Scales became Scaleman and Beckscales. I tend to keep it at 1-5 syllables at most, generally 2, so it's not too messy, but I definitely start losing great grandparent names.

The 'official' records are: Snapshots, where I recap a household at time of switching families and Eulogies, where I recap a Sim's lifetime after their deaths.

Families always went Teen Daughter, Child Son in the beginning. I tried to go by household, but it turns out that those constantly change in ways that don't record well. ^ ^;
