Dell Technologies Championship 2017 live stream: Tee times, TV schedule, and how to watch Round 1 online
The annual stop in Boston is the only Friday to Monday event on the PGA Tour, which may be giving this longstanding championship the boot.
There is only one PGA Tour event each season that doesn't end on a Sunday evening and that's this week's Dell Technologies Championship. Even with a handful of Monday holidays scattered throughout the interminable PGA Tour schedule, only Labor Day is used for the unorthodox wraparound Friday through Monday format. It helps that it falls in the middle of the FedExCup Playoffs, where one break week is mixed in each year between the four-event postseason. That often comes after Labor Day, so there's not a huge travel rush getting off to the next stop on Tour.
This is the first year of the Dell Technologies Championship, which takes over as title sponsor for what used to be the Deutsche Bank Championship. Not much has changed, however, aside from the name and title sponsor. The annual stop in the Boston area has held this holiday weekend on the schedule and we're back again at the same course, TPC Boston. This event, however, may not be long for the PGA Tour's rota.
The continued speculation around an upcoming schedule overhaul is that this Labor Day stop in Boston will get the boot from the FedExCup Playoffs. The reporting over this PGA Tour season has indicated that the Playoffs may be going down from four to three events. They'll also likely move to August, a corresponding change to the PGA Championship's announcement earlier this month that they were moving their major from August to May. That leaves August open for the PGA Tour to complete their postseason before football, both college and the NFL, swallows the entire sports world whole. The new schedule would have the Playoffs ending on Labor Day weekend, as opposed to late September when everyone is watching football. To do that, it's rumored one event will be cut and the Boston stop is most likely, despite its connection to PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan.
So this may be one of the final two or three of these in Boston (whatever name you want to attach to it — Dell Technologies Championship is quite cumbersome, no?). The postseason field sits at 100, so we'll still need to make a cut after 36 holes but we're not exactly working with a massive group here through the first two rounds. Many pre-cut fields come in around 150 players. The 100 here gives the Tour a ton of flexibility to work around inclement weather, which has been known to hit this championship.
As is custom with these enormous cash FedExCup events, all the big names are on hand. Here are your coverage options and tee times for the opening round on Friday.

PGA Championship 2017 Live Golf Online Coverage
The 99th edition of the PGA Championship 2017 is chock full of storylines. As the first round of the tournament plays out at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, much of the attention will be on Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama.PGA Championship 2017
Spieth, of course, is attempting to win back-to-back majors this year. He won the British Open in spectacular fashion last month, as he rallied in the final holes after losing the lead to Matt Kuchar and earned the Claret Jug. That victory gave Spieth three-fourths of the career Grand Slam, and if he can win the PGA Championship, he would join the game’s all-time greats.PGA Championship 2017 Live
Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tiger Woods are the only players in the game’s history to have won all four majors, and the 24-year-old Spieth would become the youngest to achieve that goal.
Spieth believes that he has accomplished the most difficult part of winning golf’s Grand Slam.
“Getting three legs of it is much harder than PGA Championship getting the last leg, I think,” Spieth said, per Mike McAllister of PGATour.com. “Although I’ve never tried to get the last leg, so it’s easy for me to say. We’ve had three in two years and so, I mean, if we just continue with the same process, get the right breaks and driving ranges are in play then, I’ve got a good shot at No. 4.”
Spieth’s reference to the driving range was his shot on the 13th hole of the final round of the British Open. After an off-target tee shot that landed in the driving range, Spieth scrambled on that hole to an incredible bogey, and he surged to the championship after that hole.
McIlroy has won the PGA Championship twice, having PGA Championship come away with the title in 2014 when he won at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, and he was also victorious in 2012 at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
In addition to his past success in the tournament, McIlroy has done quite well at Quail Hollow. He has two tour victories there, and it would be a surprise if he were not in contention. Additionally, McIlroy played well in the final three rounds of the British Open after struggling in the opening round.
“This is a week I’ve been looking forward to for a long time,” PGA Championship McIlroy said at his Tuesday press conference (h/t Jeff Ritter of Golf.com). “I think once you go back to a place where you do have great memories, all that starts to come flooding back to you and it makes you feel good about yourself. That’s sort of how I feel around here.”
Matsuyama has played sensational golf this year, and he is the PGA Tour’s leading money winner with more than $7.7 million earned. The Japanese is also the leader in FedEx Cup points and is coming off a spectacular victory in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational last week, in which he shot a 61 in the final round to beat runner-up Zach Johnson by five strokes.
Matsuyama got off to an excellent start as he made a 52-foot birdie on the first hole and added another birdie on the second.
While the tournament is not going to be won in the first round, it pays to get off to an excellent start in the PGA Championship. The last 17 major winners have been under par after the first round, according to Justin Ray of the Golf Channel.
As the first round plays out, golf fans know that they have four full days of top-notch competition ahead of them.

2017 PGA Championship tee times and notable groups at Quail Hollow
There’s one major question on everyone’s mind heading into the 2017 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina: Can Jordan Spieth do it?
By “it,” of course, we mean complete the career slam of winning all four championships. Only five men — Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods — have done it in golf history. Spieth, coming off a win at The Open, has come close before at the year’s final major. He came in second to Jason Day in 2015. Last year, he finished well off the pace in a tie for 13th, though. Can he close the door on the career slam? He’ll tee it up on Hole 10 with the other two major winners of this year — Masters champ Sergio Garcia and U.S. Open winner Brooks Koepka — at 8:25 a.m. ET on Thursday morning.
That’s the star group that will grab the most attention, but there are plenty of other intriguing groups. Playing right behind that star-studded pairing is another strong group: Jason Day, world No. 1 Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson. Each one of those three will be looking for his second major.
Defending PGA Championship winner Jimmy Walker will start in the afternoon, beginning play at 1:25 p.m. from Hole 1. He joins five-time major winner Phil Mickelson and 2013 PGA Championship winner Jason Dufner. Just after that group comes a threesome of young stars: Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Rickie Fowler tee off at Hole 1 at 1:35 p.m.
Quail Hollow has hosted an annual tournament on the PGA circuit since 2003. From 2003 to 2008, the tournament was sponsored by Wachovia. For 2009 and 2010, it was known simply as the Quail Hollow Championship. Since 2011, it’s been the Wells Fargo Championship. It’s usually drawn a strong field: McIlroy won there in 2010 and 2015, and Fowler won in 2012. James Hahn, the 2016 Wells Fargo champ, tees it up with K.T. Kim and Greg Gregory on the first hole at 9:10 a.m.
Here are all of the tee times, listed in Eastern Time:
Tee No. 1
7:20 a.m. — Grayson Murray, Rich Berberian Jr., Peter Uihlein

PGA Championship tee times 2017: Start time and pairings for Friday's Round 2
A handful of lesser-known names will have plenty to prove on Friday at Quail Hollow.
Quail Hollow proved to be a major-caliber course in its first day hosting the PGA Championship. The question now is whether the game’s top golfers can master the newly renovated track in time for the weekend’s championship rounds.
2017 British Open champion Jordan Spieth summed up the course’s new, more challenging greens.
"That makes no sense at all,” Spieth said after a missed putt on the fifth hole — his 14th of the day — dropped him to +2. “It's these new greens. They do two different things."
Spieth, one of the top picks to hoist the Wanamaker Trophy Sunday evening, finished his opening round with a +1 72, five strokes off the lead.
Day one made it clear Quail Hollow is not the same course Rory McIlroy once dominated en route to a -21 finish at the 2015 Wells Fargo Championship. Longer holes, narrower fairways, and physics-defying greens have created the kind of challenge worthy of a major tournament. While top 10 fixtures like Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and Hideki Matsuyama all found ways to escape to the happy side of par, other notable pros like Spieth, Henrik Stenson, and Sergio Garcia found themselves struggling to disappointing starts.
Friday will separate the wheat from the chaff in the season’s final major. With the cut line rapidly approaching, the world’s best golfers will have to find a way to tame Quail Hollow or face an early trip home from North Carolina. The second round will also give several lesser-known duffers the chance to prove they’re for real.
Some intriguing names dotted the top of the leaderboard early on day one. Jim Herman, a former self-taught assistant pro at one of President Donald Trump’s golf courses, led the field for a brief moment before falling back to the pack and finishing at -2. Thorbjorn Oleson, a Dane who has never won a PGA Tour tournament, ended his day in first place after a -4 showing. Other less recognizable golfers like Grayson Murray, Gary Woodland, and Tony Finau also earned a spot in the top 10 after the first 18 holes of play.
The odds of remaining at the top of the leaderboard, ahead of a stacked field that includes each of the world’s top 10 golfers, aren’t especially bright. They’ll have plenty to prove Friday, where another solid round would put them in prime position for a championship run this weekend.
Here’s where every player will start their second rounds. All times are Eastern.

2017 PGA Championship TV schedule: Coverage and start time for Friday's round
A longer, meaner Quail Hollow is proving it’s major tournament material.
Day one of the PGA Championship saw lesser-known pros like Jim Herman and Thorbjorn Olesen stand atop the leaderboard for extended periods. Can a field loaded with golf’s biggest stars rise to the top on cut day? Or will a new star take a big advantage into the weekend’s championship rounds?
Thursday’s opening round proved a harried 12-week renovation was enough to transform Quail Hollow from a PGA Tour stop into a course worthy of one of golf’s major events. Two years after Rory McIlroy ripped through the course with a -21 to win the Wells Fargo Championship by a whopping seven strokes, a longer, meaner track kept the world’s best golfers in line.
Management at the course added four new holes and altered several others, forcing players to start their day with a 524-yard first hole. At most courses, that’d be a challenging par-5. At the PGA Championship, it’s a par-4. Boasting a range of shot-stopping bunkers, it’s a showoff hole designed to prove Quail Hollow is, in fact, major material.
Revamped greens and narrow fairways caused trouble for some of the event’s biggest names on day one. Jordan Spieth, the reigning British Open champion, needed to birdie two of his final three holes on Thursday just to finish at +1. Other top 10 fixtures like Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson also struggled their way to above-par rounds.
That doesn’t mean the top of the leaderboard was devoid of big names. 2017 U.S. Open champion Brooks Koepka started his tournament with a -3 that put him in great position as the weekend approaches. World No. 1 Dustin Johnson, at -1, is in a similarly strong position.
The golfers will have more than just the course to tame at Quail Hollow. A balmy North Carolina climate meant sun, temperatures into the high 80s, and humidity so thick you can almost see it. That will only get worse Friday, as scattered thunderstorms threaten to halt play and drain players as they get deeper into their round.
Here’s where every player will start their second rounds and how you can follow all the action live. All times are Eastern.

2017 PGA Championship TV schedule: Coverage and start time for Thursday's round
Rory McIlroy is the favorite, but Hideki Matsuyama could ride a hot streak to his first major title.
Rory McIlroy has traditionally dominated the Quail Hollow golf club, winning two Wells Fargo Championships and losing another in a playoff in his seven trips to the North Carolina course. Will he still be able to master the exclusive links after extensive changes transformed the track from a Tour stop to a PGA Championship host?
Administrators at Quail Hollow shut the course down for 12 weeks prior to 2017’s final major, making changes aimed at preventing another -21 round — the score with which McIlroy won the 2015 Championship by a whopping seven strokes — from the dynamic Northern Irelander. Four new holes have been added, including a monster 540-yard par-4 that will welcome contenders as they start their round. Fairways have been narrowed, the rough has gotten rougher, and the greens have gotten bigger and faster.
All those changes should create a welcome challenge for a field that includes each of the world’s top-10 golfers. While McIlroy is the favorite, he’ll have to fend off challenges from young powerhouses like Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson, and Hideki Matsuyama to win his third PGA Championship.
Spieth will tee off Thursday in one of the tournament’s most interesting groups. The 2017 British Open champion will join the season’s two other major winners, Sergio Garcia (Masters) and Brooks Koepka (U.S. Open) in an all-star triad. Right behind them will be Johnson, the world’s No. 1 golfer, along with top-10 fixtures Henrik Stenson and Jason Day. That one-two punch will make the start of the four-day tournament appointment viewing for golf fans.
This week’s PGA Championship will be fans’ second-to-last chance to watch the event in August. Traditionally the sport’s final major of the year, the tournament will be moved up to May starting in 2019. That will give the PGA Tour a quick turnaround from the Masters to the season’s second major, ensure that no more than a month goes by between the game’s most prestigious tournaments, and push the British Open into that fourth and final slot.
That should help golfers escape the warm and muggy weather that threatens this year’s Championship. Temperatures in the mid-to-high-80s and scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast for all four days of the event, and the humid Carolina weather could prove to be a drain on the game’s top athletes. Sunday’s final round could be a test of endurance, especially on a course that now tops out at over 7,400 yards.
The first step on the road to the championship rounds begins Thursday. Here’s how you can watch all the action from Quail Hollow — and when you can find your favorite golfers on the first tee.

PGA Championship tee times 2017: Start time and pairings for Thursday's opening round
Rory McIlroy has a proven track record of success at Quail Hollow.
Rory McIlroy has historically dominated Quail Hollow, finishing in first place after 72 holes in three of the seven events he’s played there. If he can live up to expectations this weekend, he’ll leave the North Carolina golf course with his fifth major championship.
In seven tournaments at Quail Hollow, McIlroy has finished a combined 66-under par. That history of success has made him the early favorite to raise the Wanamaker Cup, just ahead of stars like Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth. He’ll start his tournament alongside top-10 staples Rickie Fowler and Jon Rahm, creating one of the groups to watch Thursday — but not the biggest.
That honor goes to an 8:25 tee time belonging to all three of this year’s major winners. 2017 British Open champion Jordan Spieth will pair with U.S. Open champ Brooks Koepka and Masters titlist Sergio Garcia to give the event its first featured group. Right behind them, a threesome of world No. 1 Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, and Henrik Stenson will tee off 10 minutes later.
Quail Hollow, nearing its 60th year in existence, has made some changes in advance of its first major PGA Tour tournament. Course superintendents took 12 weeks to completely re-imagine the front nine holes in the lead up to Thursday’s opening round, adding three new holes while dramatically changing several others. The end result is a more challenging course that will make scores like the 21-under McIlroy posted there in 2015 a distant memory.
As a result, a course that was already PGA ready is now in major shape. Quail Hollow will clock in at over 7,400 yards for the Championship, and while thousands of trees have reportedly been removed during renovation, the course will still punish players who careen left or right off the tee with shot-destroying forests. Its greens will be larger and more difficult than ever.
Here’s the full, stacked field for Thursday’s opening round of the 2017 PGA Championship. It includes each member of the world’s top 10, as well as veterans like Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els each making their 100th career start at a major, as well as Vijay Singh.

PGA Championship 2017 tee times: Pairings for the first two rounds
Rory McIlroy, having slayed Quail Hollow several times in the past, is your early favorite.
The PGA Tour hadn’t had a repeat winner at a major tournament in two years before Jordan Spieth ran away with the British Open in July. On Thursday, the talented young athlete will have the chance to win his second-straight major and take a significant step toward his goal of becoming the world’s No. 1 golfer once more.
The 2017 PGA Championship begins this week, pitting the world’s best golfers against each other in the final major of the season. With a big performance, Spieth will have the opportunity to challenge Dustin Johnson at the top of the world rankings — though Johnson holds a comfortable lead at No. 1. On Thursday, the two will tee off within minutes of each other, adding an extra wrinkle to one of the game’s budding rivalries.
Spieth is the headliner in the hottest group to take on Quail Hollow Club outside Charlotte, North Carolina. The Open champ is paired with 2017 Masters winner Sergio Garcia and 2017 U.S. Open titlist Brooks Koepka in an all-star group. They’ll tee at 8:25 a.m., immediately followed by Johnson, world No. 7 golfer Jason Day, and No. 8 Henrik Stenson.
The event favorite, however, isn’t in either of those two stacked groups. Rory McIlroy has traditionally owned Quail Hollow, winning twice and losing another tournament in a playoff in the seven PGA events he’s played at the course. In 2015, he tore through the links with a -21 score, following up his status as a 3-1 favorite with a dominant seven-stroke victory.
When he tees off Thursday, he’ll be a 7-1 favorite to raise the Wanamaker Trophy at the end of 2017’s final major.
However, if recent trends favoring first-time winners hold true, we could see a new face reigning triumphant at the 72nd hole. Hideki Matsuyama, at 25 years old, is the kind of emerging face the PGA Tour would love to promote. Not only is he the world’s No. 3 golfer, behind only Spieth and Johnson, but he’s also got some momentum behind him. Matsuyama won last week’s WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, playing some of the best golf of his life in the process.
The aforementioned favorites will be flanked by a bevy of familiar faces. Golfers like Adam Scott, Rickie Fowler, and Brandt Snedeker will all take the course Thursday. Veterans like Vijay Singh, Jon Daly, and Ernie Els will be there as well. Here’s the full listing of the 2017 PGA Championship field, along with pairings for Thursday’s opening round.

Greenbrier Classic 2017: Tee times, TV channel, and live stream for Sunday
A year after devastating floods, the Greenbrier Classic is back to crown a champion in West Virginia.
You will hear it throughout the broadcast on Sunday — that this final round of the Greenbrier Classic is even happening is an accomplishment. A year ago, the entire area was under water, the event canceled due to historic flooding that devastated West Virginia and resulted in far more consequential damage than the cancellation of a golf tournament. The Greenbrier served as a place of refuge for many displaced and then helped rally some of the clean-up and recovery efforts.
Now, a year later, the course has been completely re-done, compelled to renovate really instead out out of choice or vanity. There will be a winner and a purse doled out and FedExCup points awarded, but the week is more a celebration of what the people of West Virginia and the Greenbrier have been able to accomplish in the recovery of last year’s flood.
Sebastian Munoz and Robert Streb will be the final pairing, going at 2 p.m. ET off the first tee. It’s not the strongest field and the leaderboard probably doesn’t have the sex appeal CBS would prefer. But the course has been the star this week, with so much of the original C.B. Macdonald work prevalent throughout — there’s a thumbprint 18th green, a Biarritz, a Redan, and an immaculately conditioned course with brand new greens. It’s a cool test and a nice change-up with a more historic architectural feel.
Coming right off the heels of a Euro Tour conclusion at the Irish Open, Golf Channel will have the early-round coverage, which should feature the end of Phil Mickelson’s round in his first event in 25 years without longtime looper Bones Mackay. CBS will take over for their usual late-afternoon coverage and a targeted conclusion just before 6 p.m. ET. Here’s your media schedule for Sunday at the Greenbrier:

Travelers Championship live stream: Tee times, TV coverage, and how to watch Sunday's Round 4 online
Jordan Spieth can join Tiger Woods as the only players of the modern era to get 10 wins before their 24th birthday.
The Travelers Championship is set up for one its best Sundays ever with Jordan Spieth taking the 54-hole lead into the final round. Spieth has led the Travelers since the front nine of his first round on Thursday, which featured five birdies in his first eight holes. He’s lost the lead at points within his subsequent two rounds, but at the end of each, the name on top remained the same.
Spieth was one of the big pre-tourney announcements that gave this event a massive boost. The Travelers carries a rep as a tournament that is aggressive in promoting itself and trying to get better, and as one that the players love. But it’s also the week after the U.S. Open, a time when many of the top players, who do not want for money, prefer to take a week break. This year, however, the Travelers landed Spieth along with Rory McIlroy for the first time. They were just a couple of the big headliners in a field that became one of the strongest of the PGA Tour regular season.
Now their hard work in hustling to build a strong field has paid off on the weekend. For the second straight day, they will get one of their prize catches playing in the final group and in the lead. This has looked like Spieth’s tournament from the get-go and while there have been a few hiccup stretches, he keeps figuring out a way to get around this TPC River Highlands course in the red and in solo first.
Jordan Spieth leads by 2. With win this week, he would join Tiger Woods as only players in modern era with 10 #PGATour wins before age 24.

This is not just a nice boost for the Travelers, but it also brings some juice to the PGA Tour schedule. Anytime we can get one of its marquee stars on the lead on a Sunday, the interest is going to spike. It does not matter that it’s the week after a major when some might want to take a breather from golf. Spieth playing alongside Boo Weekley, another higher profile personality, is a nice win for the Tour and the Travelers.
The tee sheet is back to normal for the final round, with twosomes rolling off No. 1 throughout the day. Saturday’s third round featured a condensed two-hour window of groups of three off split tees. Spieth and Boo will go right at 2 p.m. ET, setting up a finish on CBS at 6 p.m. Here are your media options for Sunday at TPC River Highlands.

Travelers Championship 2017: Tee times, TV channel, and live stream for Round 3
Jordan Spieth leads in Hartford, while Rory McIlroy tries to make a dramatic weekend charge up the leaderboard.
One of the strongest fields in Travelers Championship history hits the weekend, where some of the largest crowds on the PGA Tour schedule will pack in to TPC River Highlands. It’s become an annual New England tradition for many now, heading to Cromwell for what is one of the rowdier and more well-attended tournaments.
This Saturday, they will have some starpower to watch in between sips of their beverages. Jordan Spieth, playing in his first ever Travelers, sits on top of the leaderboard after 36 holes. That position is held mostly due to the work he put in on Thursday, a 7-under 63 that was the lowest opening round of his PGA Tour career. He held on in the second round, posting a number in the red that was still good enough to stay in first by a shot on what is normally a track that sets up for manic leaderboard movement. Spieth will play in the final spot on the tee sheet alongside Ryder Cup partner Patrick Reed and Troy Merritt.
While Spieth is the big name on top, the Travelers did lose some of the star power in a field that was fascinating to watch come together over the last few months. The biggest names missing the cut were Jason Day, Bubba Watson, and Justin Thomas. Day just never had it from the start on Thursday and while this is a course where Bubba has feasted in the past, his season-long struggles continued even on a comfy layout.
The one big name that the event was in jeopardy of losing snuck into the weekend right on the number. Rory McIlroy, also playing in his first ever Travelers, spent all of Friday afternoon teetering on the cut line. A slip and chunked wedge shot on his last hole of the day led to a bogey that made it look like he’d miss the final two rounds for the second straight week. But the last few groups out on the course, and his finishing bogey, moved the cut line to exactly even-par. A massive 85 players made the cut, which means we’ll get a secondary cut on Saturday afternoon.
It also means we’ll have the tee sheet back out in groups of three and off split tees, as opposed to twosomes rolling of the first tee from first thing in the morning. That’s great for TV and the attending fans because it condenses everyone into a two-hour window. Almost everyone is out on the course at the same time and while Spieth plays the front, Rory will be on the back. The weather, which has been known to disrupt this event, looks good for the day so we should have an on-time finish right around 6 p.m. ET.
