Fun fact!

I watched Fusion when i was a little kid; to this day, i remember watching the first episode, and i was really excited, because this would be my first Digimon Show (I was a huge nerd for Pokémon, and i knew that “ThE ReAl PoKeMoN FanS” should HATE Digimon. But i wanted to be “different and special”, so when Digimon Fusion aired, i was really excited, LOL).

Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep up with the show, i don’t really remember why? I just know that i only watched 3 episodes, and i believe 2-3 years later i would see the end of Xros Wars on YouTube! And feel literally chills with Shoutmon becoming the King of the Digimon World, lol. (Also the theme that played in the scene is so Good, i love it to this day)

Anyway, from the little i watched, I remember thinking that Nene would be my favorite character—so much so that I even created a fanfic in my head at the time about how she would be and what she would do in the show. The opening made me believe she would be the BEST CHARACTER of the show because of how badass her Digimon were. I mean, can you blame old me?

Kid me thought she was some kind of princess and she had all those Digimon as henchmen protecting over her. And Nene and Darkknightmon would have this cute father-daughter relationship, (Because of this, to this day i’m a huge fan of the idea of evil-looking Digimon being good guys, LOL).

I did do both colors. Felt like someone would be disappointed if I didn't. But I did really want to explore the idea of the purified SkullKnightmon becoming DarkKnightmon again, and what that would look like. Weirdly, because of how predominant SkullKnightmon is to the combination, the colors work surprisingly well.

Next we move onto some new designs. I've got some ideas for how the next partner is going to look, but it definitely needs some ironing out.

So SkullKnightmon had a Black Purple card before this but we finally get DeadlyAxemon and DarkKnightmon. This also mean every major Digimon in the Twilight faction has a Black & Purple card:

And to preemptively correct any misunderstanding, Mervamon isn't considered a member Twilight despite being recognized as Nene's secondary partner due to her debut occurring after Twilight as a faction split and was effectively dissolved & absorbed into Xros Heart and the Bagra Empire

You know when you’re thinking about a character, then you start listen to a song and now you’re thinking how this song connects with said character, even if it doesn’t really makes sense?

That’s me right now unfortunately, thinking how “Moon revenge” could fit Nene— (it’s a sailor moon song, please listen to it, it’s so good).

(By the way, talking about songs, it’s so sad that Nene doesn’t have her own theme song— Kiriha and his team has two theme songs, while Taiki have three theme songs, meanwhile, Nene has absolutely Nothing to her.

Even Skullknightmon has his own theme song.)

And here we are. A new SkullKnightmon form.

Wings fold up to become legs, talons become claws, torso becomes a shoulder pad. I did try and redistribute some of the existing materials; swapped the shoulder the helmet is on, used the spears as kneecaps.

Don't know what I'm gonna work on next. Might start work on BlazeKuwagamon and VictoryGreymon, might do some simpler stuff. December is very busy for me because of work, so I might just focus on some simpler things for a few weeks.
