SUSAN TEDESCHI, DAVE GROHL TO RECEIVE BICENTENNIAL MEDAL: Susan Tedeschi and Dave Grohl will receive the James Smithson Bicentennial medal for “contributions to the American experience through music.”

The ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 8 in Washington, D.C.

HANUKKAH SESSIONS ON TAP: Dave Grohl reportedly hosted a live Hanukkah Sessions concert Dec. 5 in Los Angeles before 250 fans. Nine songs were performed and the thinking is eight of them will be released for Grohl’s third-annual celebration of Jewish musicians during the Festival of Lights Dec. 18-26.

Proceeds from the show benefit the Anti-Defamation League.

ICEHOUSE CANCELS GIG CITING LONG COVID: Icehouse canceled its Dec. 12 gig at the Sydney Opera House because of Iva Davies’ “ongoing aftereffects of COVID-19,” per a statement.

Bywater Call son un poderoso colectivo de siete músicos de Toronto, Canada, formado en 2017, y dirigidos por la poderosa voz de Meghan Parnell y la guitarra de Dave Barnes. Un exuberante híbrido de rock, blues, funk de Nueva Orleans, R&B y southern soul. Patti Spadaro Band "Glass Shatters"

Patti Spadaro, known for her introspective, heartfelt songwriting and creative lead guitar work, brings a hopeful perspective to her music, aiming to inspire and unite. Her organic grooves, memorable original compositions, and spontaneous jam sessions are the trademarks of the Patti Spadaro Band, a group that firmly believes in the uplifting and transformative power of music. Her latest single, “Glass Shatters,” set to release on June 8, 2024, is a celebration of women and the historical milestone of the first female Vice President. Written by Spadaro, the track was recorded at Blue Door Recorders in Pittsburgh, showcasing local talent including Anne Celedonia (keys/vocals), background vocalists Cherylann Hawk, Jill Simmons & Alison McTavish, drummer and recording engineer Eric Kurtzrock, and bassist Ryan Black.
